I paid $155 for my nails to be coming off as well as the gel polish on my toes. I had a great experience at one of the other locations. The prices are way to high for the service they give you . At the other location you are served fruit and wine in a wine glass . The other location I received Excellent customer service . I have just had my nails done a week today . I asked for a sunflower btw and this is what I received . I wouldn’t recommend this place .

I took a 10 year hiatus from having my nails done, and only decided to try again because of an event this weekend. SO glad I tried Escape! Everyone there was so helpful and they made me feel comfortable as a customer. Teresa was great, she was receptive to what I asked for. She did a SIGNIFICANTLY better job with my dip nails than any technician I had seen previously. I will definitely be back to see her!!

Me and my grandmother usually go together to get pedicures or a manicure once in a while here and Ive always enjoyed it very much. Good customer service, the fruits were wonderful. However, on this one particular day we went in to get my pedicure and as I was getting it done one of the other ladies asked me a question and I was having some trouble trying to answer it because I have a speech impediment. I could not even get a word out before she started laughing at me, I was almost in tears and I felt so embarrassed and ashamed of myself. My experience and confidence was ruined and I just wanted to get it over with. Please teach your staff to be more understanding.

Amazing service. I love coming here to get my nails done. Helen is great, she takes her time doing my nails. The staff there is friendly and accommodating to your needs. Can’t forget about the neck massage or complimentary wine you get while getting your pedicure and manicure. I will always come here!

This was the most expensive and worst gel manicure I’ve ever had. The polish chipped after a few days, and nails seemed to be flaking.

I tried this location cause its closer to me but the experience from the one on midlothian wonderful. They painted my nail well. My mom was finished with her nails and they was over halfway finished with my nails before they even offered us a glass of work or anything.

This place is the best! I have gotten my nails done (dip powder) here for the last 3 months (4 times) and I LOVE their attention to detail! Ive also had a couple pedicures done as well that have turned out amazing and last so long! Tina and Bay and every other talented nail tech I have seen has been so on point. They will not rush the job for the sake of time. They go the extra mile to check lengths, quality, color tone, nail health, longevity, etc. There are plenty of other salons in the area that are closer to me, but it is well worth the drive to see these ladies! They are always friendly and care about their customers receiving the best service! I cant express enough, how much I love this place!

The atmosphere here is so wonderful! Your first drink is on the house and you get finger foods to enjoy while getting a pedicure! I’ll definitely be back and I recommend anyone to try it out! I have always loved escape but they have gotten to busy. I made an appointment and still waited a 1/2 hour just to sit another 1/2 hour with my feet in cold water.

Was excited to try a new place. It’s huge with a lot of nail stations and looked very well kept.Unfortunately this is the worst dip/manicure I think I’ve ever had. The nail tech made 6 of my fingers bleed and acted like she did nothing wrong. This is how staph infections can happen. Can’t believe they charged me $50 for this. Very unhappy.

Over priced opulence mediocre service, just like most nail salons they start out offering you a beverage, getting a warm neck roll n showing you how to use massage chair then after a while u get a hello pick your color, cash or credit.

Overall poor experience and will not be returning. Came here with family because they had been here previously. I was very leery based on all of the negative reviews and those people were right. $30 basic pedicure not that bad, initially I chose the next one up, sugar scrub pedicure for $47 dollars. Literally $17 more for the basic pedicure with sugar scrub added. I was going to get a gel manicure and pedicure. The lady said in addition to the $47 for the pedicure it would be $25 for gel on my feet and $40 for gel in my hands. When trying to downgrade my service I had three ladies that I could hardly understand yelling at both me and each other about the price like they were trying to haggle with me to continue with the upgraded service and undercut each other’s price. I understand this salon is located on the outskirts of River Road/ University of Richmond but $112 for a fairly basic service is absurd! Ended up changing to the basic pedicure, regular polish on toes and gel nails, my tech tallied up my cost to $65 on her note pad. I went to check out and still had to pay $70 walking out the door (I guess a $5 tip was included because there was no line to leave a tip). However the top half of the receipt said $40 total and the bottom said $70 total with no itemized breakdown. I asked for a copy of the receipt. The lady responded with “uh no.” Over all it’s not worth the cost to come here because you’re paying for the “better area” as opposed to any salon located further away that would be approximately 1/2 to 1/3 less cost wise.

Went here on a whim and left very happy. Van did a wonderful job on my shellac mani and pedi and gave me her undivided attention for the duration. Tipping via Venmo is very easy and a welcomed option. Barriers up for Covid protocol. The only con was the price... a bit steep. Gel pedi with callus removal and mani was $113. Normally I’d pay $80ish for this service at another salon.

We picked this place because it was open later then the rest of the salons in the area. First time coming but unfortunately don’t think we will be going back. Service was very overpriced, $30 for a color gel nail polish (without manicure), $30 basic pedicure (no scrub no callus removal) and I had to advise how to remove skin under my toes. $50+ for an actual pedicure. Staff was nice and friendly. Place was clean but seems disorganized.

I went to this salon yesterday 4/13/19. When I first walk into the door the manager, a lady, walks up to me and asked me what she could do for me. I then told her a fill-in, eyebrow and fix. She then began to use a calculator, and then told me that it would be $55 total. I said okay. And then she asked me if I could pay before service. I was very upset because there were people around and I felt very singled out. 1. I don’t know any nail salon that asking the customer to pay before service.2. There was a couple there, and she didn’t ask them to pay before. She only told them to pick a color.3. The nail technician (Penny) was nice but the manager kept stopping her while doing my nails and getting her to do something else.I felt horrible uncomfortable. If it wasn’t for the nail technician, I wouldn’t have spent all the money there. Definitely won’t go again.EDIT: The nails are cracking after only a week of getting them. I got acrylic, I specially asked for thick acrylic and she did not do it. Definitely never going back again.

This was my first time at this salon and I will not be back. The salon itself is beautiful and their service while in the salon is better than most. Sadly I didnt realize how much was wrong until about a week later.I scheduled a very pricey appointment which ran me over $200 with tip. My services included a manicure, pedicure and massage. The pedicure was amazing, I couldnt have been happier, However the appointment took a turn for the worse when the manicure started.I have very thin nails and I told the lady this when she started working on my nails. I dont like to have any sort of power tool on my nails because it burns and quickly goes through my already brittle nails. She did not listen to me when I requested no power tools, then proceeded to drill my index fingernail down to the soft tissue. I told her she was hurting me, but I didnt realize the damage she had done until about a week later when my entire finger purple one morning. I then went to the doctor to have the nail removed (very painful procedure) only to find the place she drilled was now infected. Multiple antibiotics later I get to keep my finger and my ugly natural fingernail.Now for the massage. First off the person they have doing them is not licensed or professionally trained. I opted for a Swedish Massage, which should have a light touch. The young lady who administered the massage didnt speak any English and actually bruised me severely from digging into my skin. Upon getting home that evening I could clearly see the trauma on my back, her nail marks accompanied with huge bruises. I have had many massages and should have run from this one the moment I walked into the room. The masseur ushered me into a room and didnt give any direction. In a professional massage room there is a massage table and a sheet to cover yourself until the masseur returns. This lady gave me nothing to cover with, barged in while I was still undressing and when I asked for a sheet she proceeded to say I dont need one while pulling at my bra to take it off for me, it was MORTIFYING!I would never recommend this horrible place for multiple reasons but mostly because they physically hurt me in the process. I came to this spa for a relaxing afternoon before my engagement party and left so traumatized and bruised I couldnt even enjoy my party the next day.

Went with my mom for a Mothers Day treat and we couldnt be happier. Our technicians were Jenni and Tin, and they were wonderful. I love that they gave you a drink and a plate of fresh fruit. My husband decided to surprise me with a gift certificate for my birthday. The gift certificate was for a mani, pedi and 30 minute massage. Well upon arriving they were very professional and the salon was very clean. No one greeted me but there was a lady at the front desk who i told that I had an appointment. So they took me to the back and had someone to start my pedicure. The lady was really nice but I felt somewhat rushed and also I was never given the option of choosing what nail color that I wanted. So I told the lady that I wanted pink. She found a pink and proceeded to tell me that it was a nice pink. Again, never showing me any other options. I got a mimosa which wasnt very tasty and was never offered any snacks. Mind you, this is the main reason that my husband chose this place is so that I would get the royal treatment on my birthday. So they finished my pedicure and took me to another area to so my nails. Apparently the lady who was doing my nails had other clients to show up. They sat them next to me. I felt like they were hovering over me the whole time I was getting my manicure. So, my manicure was rushed so that she could get to her other clients. After my manicure I was taken to another room so that my nails could dry. I sat there for over 30 minutes. No one checked on me. So I got up and went to the front desk because I had to get my 30 minute massage. Well the lady told me that it would be a 30 minute wait. Well I had already been there for 2 hours and needed to get back home. I felt as if they really didnt give me the service I deserved. I tipped the lady 20 dollars which she didnt deserve but to show them that you dont do people wrong because you never know how much money you will miss out on. They still owe me a massage but I will never return!**UPDATE**A couple days later my toe is throbbing, red and has pus coming out from the corner. I remember the lady cutting in that area and telling me my nail was uneven so she was evening it out. I think she has caused me to have an ingrown toenail

I have been a client of hers over 10 years and have received nothing but exemplary customer service!The spa itself is very relaxing, inviting and warm. It offers different rooms for the many services including a quiet room wirh low light for a true relaxing experience. There are many packages offered and complimentary refreshments including wine, hot tea and fresh fruit.I highly recommend checking out the spa and ask for ANNIE...you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely the best place I have ever gone to get my nails done! The ladies there are so friendly and genuine. Belinda gave me a manicure with the gel polish and my nails look so pretty! She also did an excellent job with my cuticles and they look so healthy too (unlike some places that go too far and make you bleed). Everything was super clean too. They use tools that have been cleaned and comes out of sealed packaged. Super professional! I had I wonderful experience and enjoyed talking to the ladies that helped me there. Im going to recommend this place to all my friends and will keep coming back my self 😊

For almost a hundred dollars, the “deep tissue” massage was terrible. I told the “therapist” I work out a lot and I need intense pressure to help my back. She barely rubbed my muscles, there were weird moments where I felt my bones being massaged, she tried to crack my fingers and toes so quickly and strangely that I got cut by her nails. Not to mention she pulled the blanket up so high that my entire downstairs was exposed multiple times as well as my chest. She even went to far up my leg that her bare hands touched my bare V ! I was looking for a hidden camera. On top of all this, it was silent the entire time. I could hear the nail salon chatter. She also said I couldn’t have my legs waxed after the massage because ofThe oil, but I declined a wax beforehand because mySkin is sensitive. Then after the massage she asked multiple times if I wanted the wax after all. I know it was the same girl. Very unprofessional. Seems untrained.

I did my nails over a week ago and they still look new! Tim was so sweet and easy to talk to, made you feel comfortable. Not to mention the amazing job that he did. I really recommend this place! LOVED IT!

I had very bad experience today with Tina . She was careless and didnt do a good job ! She mess up the nail polish on 3 of my fingers and didnt fix it. She just put more polish and let it dry. Now I have a ton of nail polish thats dry and messed up with a big texture. My polish is messy and awful. I am very sorry that I went to this place. It was a waist of time.10 years old kid could do better job. I will not come back to this place. It was crazy noisy. People running around .

I had a massage treatment and got my eyebrows tended to yesterday, and the entire experience was great. I was all warm and cozy and comfy, and Massage treatment was more relaxing than some massages in other places Ive had. They are friendly and professional, and the space is very clean and comfortable. My face feels pampered. Very pleased, and I will return.

Horrible experience. Rude staff. Could not speak English well enough to communicate. It was the first manicure I have ever had that was actually painful. The technician evidently could not understand the word Ouch. My nails still hurt and I fear what infection is growing. Will stick with the upscale Salons from now on. The only way they resemble a upscale salon is their prices. And in case they are wondering where their tip is, they did not earn one. I do not commend poor service and they definitely earned that award. While I was there, I overheard several customers ask for change for a tip, and conveniently they were out of dollar bills. A few customers fell for the scam and gave them a $5.00 tip.

Overpriced for subpar service they charged me $55 for a gel pedicure that barely lasted 30 minutes. For the price I was expecting better service and friendlier staff. Ive been to nail salons for half the cost and does a better job and with better customer service.

My experience today was awesome from beginning to end! My son and daughter in-law treated me to a package mani, pedi, and massage. I upgraded the mani because I have acrylic nails with Gel polish. I also got my brows waxed.The pedi was the best I have ever had done and I have had many. Jessi took care of my nails, feet, and brows. She took her time, did not rush at any point.Belinda gave a wonderful Swedish massage.I drove an hour and 45 minutes for this treat and I would do it again in a second!

I had the dip powder done. It began chipping off the first week. I called to let them know because they have a 2 week guarantee, they said they would try again. I asked if it would be free, they said no. Basically their 2 week guarantee doesnt mean anything. It would not bother me so much except they are expensive

Went there for my mothers day gift. I was put in a room and never checked on again until I ran out trying to find someone because the room was flooding because they left the water running on the tub my feet were in. I tried to turn it off but was unsuccessful. They finally came to clean up the mess and refilled the tub and left me again and never returned. I watched several new people arrive and get helped and I never did. I will never be back.

I had an acrylic pink and white nails, it looked SL beautiful with a shiny gel top coat cover. I got a lot of compliments from my friend. They asked me where I got my nails and I told them come to Escape Nail & Spa. I also got a pedicure after the full set was done. It probably the best pedicure ever. The massage from the pedicure felt really good.

Went in two weeks ago for a manicure. They cut off way too much skin, to the point that my fingers were actually bleeding when they got done. A few days later, I developed an infection next to my fingernail, it was painful and looked really gross. Would not recommend at all.

I never write a review normally for places however, this place deserves it! I have lived in many different cities and just moved here from South Jersey. I am very peticular with my nails (Im sure I come off kind of scary) however, I had HANDS DOWN, THE BEST service! I had gotten the pink and whites. Lynn was amazing!!! Today, I had my first encounter with Ann at Escape Nail and Day Spa. After I got over how fast she moves, I was throughly impressed with the detail and quality of her work when it was all over. This nail salon seems to have quality nail artist because I was given three people to ask for and Ann was one of them.I will be returning.

I paid them 60 for a service that turned out terrible. I f you cant do what Im asking for just let me know, I showed the girl at 13 a picture of what I wanted & it turned out nothing like the picture & I had to go because I had a wedding rehearsal & I called the owner & she assured me that it would be taken care which didnt happen & she then assured me that the same girl wouldnt be fixing them and that happened which was highly upsetting & her idea of fixing the situation was a little filing! I will NEVER go back and would NOT recommend this place to anyone! I honestly dont know how Escape Nail & Day Spa has so many positive ratings?! I had a poor experience a few years ago at Escape Nail where the nail technician, who spoke no English (literally none, I had to point to things to communicate) got upset because I was carrying on conversation with the technician beside me, so she walked away...and didnt come back. Mid-pedicure. Literally. I had to ask someone for help and they gave me a different technician. I should have just stopped then, but this place had soo many positive reviews I thought maybe a few years later they had turned things around. Nope. This time I called first to make sure they could take me as a walk-in. Of course they wanted my money, so they insisted it was fine as long as I arrived by 5:30pm. So I showed up ahead of time, and the woman who did my nails was TERRIBLE. She literally cut my finger, not my cuticle, my FINGER with the cuticle scissors because she was rushing and jabbed me. I yelled OWW! That was my finger! To which she kept saying No, no, its fine. She cut my cuticles to the point where for three days after they were bleeding and my fingers were in pain. She also insisted that I owed her a bigger tip for making her stay late (aka her up-selling me a longer procedure that would get her more money, and took her more time). And when I went to pay her tip she ran my card for the payment and said Nope, we only except cash tip. Yes, ladies, they give you cheap, oxidized wine; but trust me the damage to your fingers and being treated rudely isnt worth it.

Very upset with the customer service, and Jenny was talking a lot and answer her phone, and the end I was over charged. Take her 2 h to finish my nails. The manager was nice. The atmosphere was depressing, the room was too dark. I will not return!

A very good place to do nail

This place is HORRIBLE!!!!! I Brought my daughter there to celebrate her 1st Mothers Day and she left in tears! How RUDE!!!!! The staff treated her like she was invisable and helped otber people that came in after her. And even after asking was put aside and ignored AGAIN!!!! Never will she return and hopefully other people will read this and NOT go!!!!!

My experience was a horrible expensive one. You think you are getting your moneys worth with the wine and snacks but they did not know how to do a liquid gel fill in properly and I had to back the next day and have both hands redone only to have to go to a different nail salon fix what they did. It seems like if you ask for anything different other than a gel manicure it throws them off. Never going back or sending anyone there.

Pedicures are amazing here

They didnt know Im Vietnamese and proceeded to called me horrible names because I requested for hotter water. In Vietanmese; they complained, gave me aweful names, and made fun of me amongst each other for the entirety of my pedicure. Decor & cucumber water simply cant mask despicable behaviors.

I walked into Escape Spa & Nail Salon for chocolate lover packages. I am attracted by the name of package so I made an appointment. Escape nail was as sweet as chocolate. The atmosphere was romantic with exposed brick. They played romantic songs for every customer. Escape nails even provided fresh fruit and lemon juice for customer. A girl who I didn’t remember her name, did my requirement. I had a Swedish massage by lubricating the skin with massage oil and helped me relaxed as well as become healthy. After then I had chocolate pedi and mani. I got a design with pink dot which becames really cute.  The manicure lasted about 2 weeks with fully glossy. Overall, Escape nail is worthy 5 stars and more!

July 2016. This nail spa at The Village at Patterson and Three Chopt used to be amazing. I have gone here fairly regularly for over three years. Last time I was there for a manicure, I was not offered a beverage or fruit, which is part of what sets Escape apart from others. The woman giving the manicure nipped my cuticles to hurt and bleed and did not listen to my instruction; I question whether she speaks English because she didnt say a word to me. Another thing that used to set them apart was the employees did not speak Vietnamese to each other in front of their clients. They would engage the clients in conversation and if they spoke to another employee, it was in English so you knew they werent talking about their customers... Not anymore. It is still better than 70% of other nail spas, but it is quickly becoming one of the same. The shop was not as clean as I was used to seeing and the atmosphere was just not relaxing like they used to work so hard to maintain. I used to happily pay more for services because they went above and beyond to pamper. Now, the shop feels cramped, rushed, and is just not enjoyable anymore. I will not return. I will go out of my way to the Short Pump location which is still owned by the restful people. I am excited for the Short Pump Escape to open their new location in Midlothian.

Horrible! I get white polish all the time and the WHOLE PEDICURE was a waste of money and time. Never returning! They literally rushed the whole thing... Charged me 30 for crappy service
