I just moved to the area and decided to try gloss bar out. Everyone who worked there was very professional and nice. I wanted to give 5 stars, but the ends of my nails were sort of half-filed, so the edges were not smooth (instead they were jagged and I had to cut that part off at home). I haven’t had that happen to me before. The polish itself also didn’t give that glossy look I was hoping for. A third coat would have helped probably. I did let the nail tech know that the polish on one nail was thin enough that a line of nail was showing, and she fixed it. I just got a regular polish change though, so the gel or acrylic experience might be better!

My experience here was only ok. Gloss Bar is quite expensive for the area and for no special reason. They don’t do acrylic apparently (which I found out there) so when I went for my appt I could not get my hands done. I made an appointment with the tech Tyrone however was given a different tech, like what?? What’s the point of making an appointment with a specific person then? I did get a pedicure which was done, fine, but don’t plan on visiting again.

I got a pedicure here and it was so nice! They took great care in their covid precautions and my nails 😁 nice and clean space with personable staff. I would come here again.

Gloss bar is hands down the best nail salon in DC! I have been getting pedicures and manicures with the Gloss Bar staff for over 5 years at their first salon Enchanted Nails in Adams Morgan and their new salon does not disappoint. The staff at Gloss bar are professional, the establishment is clean and the manicures and pedicures are done meticulously. They focus on the cuticles and make your nails look fantastic, and do a job that lasts for a while. I would 10/10 recommend Gloss Bar to anyone who wants to pamper themselves, but also who wants a really well done pedicure or manicure with friendly, professional staff.

I have been going here since soon after they opened. They do a great job and are very nice. Price is good...they give discounts for cash (no credit card fees). The place is always very clean.

The best place in town to get a manicure or pedicure. I’ve tried a lot of different places in the city and this is hands down the best, services, vibe, staff, cleanliness, everything. All of the staff is so friendly, skilled, and professional. I have had 3 different people do a gel manicure or pedicure for me and would recommend all of them to anyone.

The service was good and the place is clean, they don’t take many appointments at a time so there’s enough room for social distance. Bella was professional and patient and did a good job!

Gloss Bar is great! I used to go to Enchanted Nails in Adams Morgan but I changed locations to follow my favorite nail tech, Tyson. The location is great and the salon itself is gorgeous. I can always count on an amazing mani pedi at Gloss Bar.

Best nail salon I’ve found in DC. I scheduled an SNS mani for 9:55am and they had a chair ready for me the moment I arrived. The place is super clean, definitely good with covid precautions. The manicure was quick, but not rushed. He (I think Tyson is his name) did a great job and even managed to get my itty bitty nails into an almond shape. As I was sitting there, another customer came in and I heard her mention that she had seen the same nail tech there for almost a decade. Considering Gloss is not a decade old, I’m assuming she followed the tech to Gloss. To me, that says a lot! I’ve gone to several other salons in the area and they’ve all been good/decent. But I am so satisfied with my SNS at Gloss that I’ve already booked my next appointment.

Great location. Best pedicure I have had in a long time. So glad I didn’t feel rushed to just get paint on my toes. Looking forward to returning.
