I came here thanks to a gift card and unlike a lot of the other places Ive been thanks to Nift, I actually do see myself coming back here. I came here for a gel manicure and they did it quickly and well. What I love about this place is how real and honest they were despite being a pretty busy salon. I got my nails done by someone who seems to be a co-owner of the place and I liked how honest she was with me about running a business. She was super friendly the whole time and I enjoyed talking to her, and she was a real professional with my nails as well. The salon is kept very clean.I thought my gel manicure turned out fine, but because it didnt turn out as well as she would have liked it to she comped to my entire manicure! I definitely suggest making an appointment as opposed to walking in since when I came at 11:30 they werent able to see me until 1:15.

I got my haircut there yesterday by Yunis. I told the women on the phone that I was donating my hair and asked if they had done this before, they clearly had not. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and asked if he could please take 10 inches off for the donation. Luckily I managed to fix it when I got home, but it is 4.5 inches shorter than I wanted and definitely not the way it was supposed to be. I do not recommend going here if you are donating your hair.

My hair looked amazing! I received a great deal as a first time customer! I received a beautiful cut, color, and amazing highlights. He then took the time to even curl it after blow-drying. The shampoo girl was amazing. I laid back as she massaged my head and neck. She put my feet up and turned on the massage chair. It was nice! The atmosphere was very charming as well! And everyone was so very friendly. Great experience. Very relaxing as they even served me coffee and water. I cant wait to go back!

I called the salon 24 hours after another salon gave me an awful haircut and color....Imaj corrected it with a beautiful cut and highlights ! Wish Id gone there first.....

Got a ton of compliments on my haircut thanks to Yunis! I went from kind of shaggy 3B curls to a flattering, attractive, not-extreme undercut that I requested. Ill be going back here regularly.

Please do yourself a favor and make an appointment somewhere else--they permanently dyed my hair instead of semi- permanently dyeing it. I went in early October to get my hair semi-permanently dyed- as in washed out within 24 washes tops. Made sure I was clear it was temporary over the phone.I got to the salon and the stylist didnt introduce himself, so I couldnt say to not go to a specific person. I made it clear I wanted temporary color- semi permanent and he just nodded and said yes. I have naturally light brown hair with highlights but wanted to get a darker brown with some red, a nice auburn. The hairstylist said he didnt like the red on me, which was frustrating that he wouldnt listen to me. We sort of chose a color together in the hair color book.As he was washing out my hair, halfway through he said surprise color! And then my hair was a bright dark raspberry red-- a fun color, but certainly not what I wanted or what we chose in the book.The cut was very expensive (180 without tip) and I tipped well, thinking oh well its temporary. But alas Im still a redhead with a shade I never wanted thats permanent. My roots are beginning to grow in and nothing has faded. Im so upset that my hair was permanently changed, and now Ill have to wait months and months for my normal hair to grow back, and spend even more money to get it dyed back to my normal color.Not only did the stylist not listen to what I wanted, he completely messed up my hair. Would never recommend going to this place.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Yunis did not listen to any of my requests and does know how to cut hair. I asked for bangs and showed multiple pictures yet he thought it was idea to cut them as short as possible. Me and my friend had an awful experience and deserve our $60 back. Receptionist was rude too.

My wife, I and our two daughters (4 and 11) have been going here for years. The staff is amazing, attentive and accommodating. And the haircuts look great. I highly recommend them.

I first found this salon in 2006 and havent considered going elsewhere! The staff is ALL amazing, their quality of care and dedication is top-notch. The personal care and attention every client receives, makes each visit special and something to look forward to!!

Yunus does highlights like nobody else in DC. Rukiye the owner, is so attentive and takes such good care of me every time I go there. She also is an eye-brow guru. Highly recommend!!!
