My appointment was cancelled despite arriving within the grace period. I was told this location doesn’t follow that policy, even though it’s the one they show when you book. After reading other reviews, it seems this isn’t uncommon. I like EWC overall but would recommend going to a different location.

Worst customer service ever. I was 3 mins late and they didn’t take me. I ubered all the way here and they were extremely inconvenient.

Yesterday I went to the dupton location, because the one in court house canceled my appointment but I’m thankful because I’ve got the best wax I’ve had since I’ve been coming to y’all Amari was great !!!! She is the only one that I will go to she has taken her time and got me together!!! Made me feel so comfortable I will not be going to any other person!!!! I’m finally bald !! The other centers aren’t doing it like these !!! Amari is truly appreciated I wish I could share photos of her work !!! Thank you court house cause I’m never coming back y’all !!!!

Purchased a wax pass in March before the Pandemic started and emailed to cancel once I found out the Dupont location was closed. I got an email 04-01-2020 saying someone would get back to me in 2-3 business days. Never heard anything. Two weeks ago Im charged almost $300 for a wax pass I got a cancel confirmation for back in April. Since then, I have called 5 times to speak to Chardonnay, the manager of the location, and I have not received a callback/she is never there when I call. On top of that, the employees under her give excuse upon excuse every time I ask for her email address as to why they either dont have it or cant get it for me. The last time I called the employee on the phone says her email is probably in her office. How do employees not have access to their managers email address? What kind of business are they running?

Always amazing and quick! Least expensive spot in DC and the best hands-down. Always stick with what you know ladies, you don’t want to get charged twice as much from the small boutique-like spots where they don’t even prep your skin first! Love European wax center.

Facility is always clean, Michelle is great, and front staff are polite.

I have been using European Wax Center for four years now and have tried them in about 3 different cities. They were amazing in all three. They train their staff well and are really great about listening to your issues. They use hard wax and also make sure to properly prep your skin for the waxing. I have the Brazilian done from the location in Dupont. They do an amazing job and are quick! Its not painless but waxing in general is not painless. I highly recommend getting an appointment.

My wax couldve been better. I expected it to be perfect since this is a specialty shop. Its very clean and everyone is nice and professional. But I still have a few hairs on my bikini line.

Facilities are always really clean and they do the best job cleaning up all the unwanted hair you have no matter where.... they can sometimes run a little behind but that’s usually another customers fault. They take walk ins but it’s definitely best to schedule an appointment!

All of the girls are always nice and friendly. My tech was very comforting and informative giving me tips on upkeep and skin care and making me feel comfortable and relaxed. I’ve had at least 4 different techs perform waxing services on me and the customer service is always on point no matter who I go to

Went in for a wax and I loved the experience from the time I walked in until the time I left. I had the amazing Sara do my wax and she was great. She walked me through the process, let me know everything she was doing, and also held great conversation while performing the wax. Went so good already scheduled another appointment to come back. Definitely recommend any first timers going to Sara.

Melissa was amazing! I get really nervous going in for my wax appointments and super awkward. She was chatty and help me feel less embarrassed.I was also encouraged by her story of why she became a technician. She mentioned how there was a time in her life when she wasn’t feeling good about herself and wanted to find a profession that would help encourage her and all women to feel confident and beautiful.I think it’s wonderful how European Wax Salon hires staff who are not only good at their jobs but also see the importance of empowering their staff and clients to feel beautiful and confident.Thanks again!

Love this brand, first tried them in California and I was excited to learn that they have locations all over the country. They have great products too. I had Ashley as my esthetician on my most recent visit and she was great! I’m sorry to hear that she will be moving away soon! But, I’m sure that I will continue to get great service. The wax here is way less painful than at other places I use which makes getting waxed a much less stressful experience

The only reason I took away one star was because it sometimes impossible to make appointments here. Im not sure if its because the specialists have limited availability or the high demand. The place is always packed. Ive found that if I have to reschedule an appointment there isnt another one available the same day. Otherwise, this place is great! The front desk staff are helpful and friendly. The space is clean. I mostly see Lana and its always a pleasure. Krystal is also very good.

Rude staff who cancelled my appointment and never told me until I showed up. Didnt try to help get me in just told me I would have to schedule another day. Also no one ever answers their phones or calls back when you leave a message.

Acceptable and affordable chain. No privacy to change clothes. You will change in front of your attendants back. No towels or wraps to offer. You will be asked to pull your own skin taut for wax removal. The worst part is I still have hair in places. My biggest pet peeve. I paid 75 dollars for a stinging session. She called it the slow wax technique. Why? Why remove wax slowly. This place is a poser.

Got my second Brazilian wax here after the first time having done several years ago was not so much a great a experience. But here at EWC they exceeded my expectations! I was so surprised that it didn’t even hurt nearly as much as I thought I would. The ladies at the front were great and my my waxer was great as well. And not to mention it was so fast! Will be coming back!

The waxes are good and the facility is clean. But they never seem to answer the phone, this is a constant issue I have with this location. Any time I try and make an appointment it takes me 5 tries to talk to anyone. Constantly on hold, when you leave a message they do not call back. Kinda ridiculous that I have a membership and cant get someone on the phone, EVER.

Tiff is hands down the best aesthetician. I’ve been to different people but she’s personable and made the experience comfortable. Her work is precise, Will always choose this location for her work !

Melissa Fuentes is an amazing aesthetician! She is so knowledgeable and her personality is wonderful, as well! Made my Brazilian wax quick and painless, though I was long overdue. I cant wait until my next wax with her!

I booked my appointment for tonight a month ago, when I arrived and walked in I was told were closed, I told the woman I had an appointment and she said they closed due to weather and I shouldve been called. I told her no one had called me and I walked 20 minutes to get there, she shrugged, said a half hearted sorry and pushed me out the door. I then had to walk another 20 minutes home. So I wasted 40 minutes of my night completely unnecessarily. I never received a call and the woman who was there was totally unsympathetic and didnt offer to have anyone follow up with me. I wouldnt be surprised if they still counted tonight as one of my waxes even though I never received service. Ive pre-paid for a bunch of waxes but I will never come back to this location, to be honest I dont even want to use EWC again after this experience. They clearly do not care about their customers at all and I dont expect them to take good care of me or my brows in the future. Id rather never get a wax again than come back here.

Lana was everything! Very kind and knowledgeable. The front desk staff is very professional and efficient. I was in and out within 45 minutes and that’s only because she really took her time. The experience was MUCH less painful than sugaring. I’d definitely recommend EWS.

They destroyed my sisters eyebrows days before a photo shoot. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR EYEBROWS!!!1) the technician burned her skin2) one eyebrow is a centimeter or two thinner than the other one!!!!!!3) they spilled powder all over her clothing4) at the end the training technician said “sorry you don’t like them.” The tech training this woman did not charge my sister because of how TERRIBLE a job they did. Spare yourself the trouble.

I really like the DuPont spa, since they always are friendly and try to accommodate your needs when you need to re-schedule an appointment with short notice. Tiffany is excellent and I highly recommend her for all services. She is a gem and always nice and has provided the best waxing so far!!

I scheduled an appointment as a first-time customer. Less than one hour before my appointment, I received a call from EWC asking if I could be there in 30 minutes. This is DC so I couldnt so I agreed to move my appointment to 30 minutes after my scheduled time. Luckily I got there a little early because as soon as I walked in I was asked for ID. At no point in time when scheduling or when I was called to reschedule did anyone tell me about this strange and excessive policy. I have never been required to show ID at any salon or waxing business. I offered to show my credit card AND debit card which both have my name on them but they wanted a photo ID. I told them no one informed me of this policy and they were of course unsypathetic as I believe I spoke to one of the same front desk staff on the phone. They said Id have to cancel but I could reschedule and bring ID next time. Lol. I will never go back to European Wax Center. If you have a policy that is not industry-standard you need to notify customers ahead of time.Luckily theres a salon about a block away that I found and went to instead. They were also confused by EWCs ID policy and took me as a walk-in.

Sara was excellent! She was patient, attentive, and did a great job on my eyebrows. The store was clean, my appointment started right on time. Cant say enough positive things. Ill be back!

The front desk was staffed by two really polite ladies. I had my services with Krystal. Krystal was exceptionally fast and knowledgeable. She didnt try and push product on me which I appreciated.

This is the best place that Ive ever visited as a 30 year old women pertaining to my feminine maintenance. Today was my second visit and Kiera was my waxer... AGAIN! With emphasis she is absolutely the best. It was relaxing music she is very quick, but gentle at the same time.... Thank you Kiera for another satisfyingly amazing experience.

I was so excited when I found out EWC opened in DuPont Circle!! Finally a location in DC! The staff were very friendly and fun to be around and my wax technician was funny, thorough and very patient with me. I definitely recommend!

Waxing was fine, but they wouldnt let me pay until they had attempted to sell me about 10 different products and packages to come back. I kept telling them I wasnt interested, but I think theyre required to complete the sales pitch. More trouble than it was worth for me, I can find another place for waxing.

I have been going to European Wax Center for some time now. However, this was my first time at this location (thank god its in DC). I was pretty scared because its new but I had Lana! She was amazing and has worked at a wax center before. I had the Brazilian wax ($52) and as she let it rip she applied pressure which made it less painful. It was a breeze. Ask for Lana she works Tue, Thur, Fri and Saturdays.

Tiff is great and the women at the front desk are so nice and extremely helpful!

Love the wax at EWC! Its far less painful and messy than others. Also, my waxer is fantastic! Shes thorough, doesnt get wax threads on me or leave wax behins, and knows how to make the process quick and painless. The reception desk is always helpful, courteous and responsive.

Kimi is the best and deserves 5 stars. However, the receptionists were not very communicative and there was confusion when checking out. I will still keep visiting.

Best EWC experience. I have had a number of bad experiences at EWCs in VA, and went out of my way to visit this location. Needless to say I will not be visiting any others because I love this one! The staff is super friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to answer my questions about everything. Bre (or Bri) at the front desk is amazing and helped me to pick out the best body scrub to buy. Elle (or El) is now my favorite wax lady ever!! Cant wait to come back next month.

This was my first time ever getting a Brazilian Wax and Sarah (my waxer) made me so comfortable by talking to me the entire time.

The wax specialist there are usually all lovely however the front desk staff is not customer friendly. Ive been frequenting EWC for about 4 years now in various locations and I have to say the front desk team at Dupont can be hit or miss. They need more training around professionalism specifically. Today my appointment was cancelled and I was told to call back to reschedule so I did and I had to call 3xs before someone answered then the person who answered was extremely un helpful and did not try to find a solution for me but instead rushed me off the phone ! Her name is Alexis, she was abrubt cold and did not even say sorry for any inconvenience or your welcome when I said thank you to her. Just a mess. Please get this team some etiquette training ASAP and instill a client first mentality in them pronto because they can make or break your traffic flow and business ultimately.

I was a little trepidatious going to EWC because I had heard that their aestheticians can be under-trained and inexperienced. But I had a great experience; my aesthetician had 4 years of experience as a waxer and displayed a gratifying level of professional enthusiasm about the wax and the environment at EWC. It was a lovely experience, the wax wasnt too hot, and I was so pleased that I bought the 9+3 pack to ensure that I stay well groomed for the next year.

The customer service was great so I wish I didnt have to leave such a bad review. However, my results were less than acceptable so I have to leave 2 stars. This was my first time getting a wax and Tiff made me comfortable and explained the process very well. However, when I got home I noticed that everywhere I had waxed still had patches of normal length hair. Now as she had to do a few touchups I assumed that if any hair remained that was when they would be removed. My stomach was only waxed on the lower portion when I purchased a full. I was very disappointed with this because I heard such good things about this place. They say you can come back within 5 days to have it fixed but i work during their business hours and had to close my schedule in advance for the initial appt. The wipes they push for nearly $30 did nothing for the ingrown hairs. I should have just spent a few more dollars on the serum but that could possibly not work too. Im not sure if it was just my waxer but I am weary of returning and spending soooo much money for me to still have to either shave or wait 4 weeks to remove the leftover hair
