I lived at Camden for a year in a two bed two bath with another roommate and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Given the year it has been, I was personally impressed with how Camden handled everything and the professionalism of the staff. Post-renovations, you do not have much of a reason to leave the complex. Between the little details across every aspect of the entrance, the huge gym, the pool table room, the conference centers, the amazing fire pit and courtyard, the wine cellar, incredibly responsive and friendly maintenance/front office staff, you have everything you need. Yes, you pay a lot, but you get a tremendous amount in return. Highly highly recommend.
Absolutely have loved living at Camden Roosevelt for the past two years. We were made to feel at home from the day we toured the apartment. The staff here is incredibly inviting and helpful, they have continued to exceed our expectations. As we move out of state, we wish we could take this entire community with us. Thank you to everyone at Camden Roosevelt! If you are looking for a place to live in DC- Camden is THE place!
So far I have loved living in Camden Roosevelt. The building is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff is so incredibly helpful and kind. Big shout out to Johanna and Davida in the leasing office whom helped my husband and I through our moving process and are always available if we have questions or need anything. This place truly feels like home.
This is hands down the best apartment complex in DC. Amazing location, inspiring historic charm, and truly the best customer service I have ever come across. Johanna and Caroline (my two favorites) will make you feel like family living here. If you’re looking for more than just an apartment (I.e. a home) you’ve found it.
Great building, especially the parking staff. In nearly two years of living and parking in the building they have been nothing short of tremendous in all aspects of my interactions with them. One day one of them pulled my car out of the lift and thought they scratched my rims and immediately asked me to look over it with them. Everything was fine but they wanted to assess the situation and take ownership of any incident.I cant speak to any experiences with parking ownership and insurance claims. However I truly believe the staff down there is top notch.John, Chaz, & Tommy in particular have been excellent to me and my fiancee and I want to voice some support for the work they do.
Johanna helped me and my wife find an amazing apartment here. We never thought we could afford such a nice place, but thanks to her we found our dream apartment. Additionally, all of the staff have been extremely friendly and the building is rent controlled
If youre looking for a DC apartment, look no further. I have been lucky to call Camden Roosevelt home for 2 years & it has been exactly that - home. The majority of team members have been with the building for years and from the front desk team (Freddie, Caroline, Elizabeth, Ruth) to the leasing office (Jessica, Davida, Johanna) to the maintenance duo (Nirso and Luis), you are in great hands. Any concerns/questions that may arise are addressed quickly and repairs are made quickly. The team really goes out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.The location cant be beat - right at the bottom of Meridian hill and a short walk to 14th&U. The building itself is beautiful and unlike most newer DC apartments, it is not cheaply constructed. Units are thoughtfully laid out and the walls are thick. I had no issues with sound from neighbors through walls, from the resident above me, or from 16th street. While it may not have as many amenities as other DC buildings, the gym is fantastic and the lack of a rooftop is made up for it with unbelievable management and a community atmosphere amongst many residents. It is a building where you will know some of your neighbors...especially if you have a dog!I could not recommend Camden Roosevelt more than I do!
Camden Roosevelt Apartments is truly luxury living. The staff goes above and beyond daily to ensure that residents feel at home and are a part of this high-end community. From the coffee kept fresh throughout the day, to the helpful office staff that treat you like family, to the talented maintenance crew who will help you hang artwork and more - there is no stone left unturned in order to provide exceptional service to all residents.Personally speaking, there is not a staff member that has not helped me to an exceptional degree. Jon, Gabrielle, Freddie, Matt, you name it, they all are just incredible. After living in the DC area now for the past 10 years, I can saw without reservation that I highly recommend Camden Roosevelt.
The best place I’ve ever lived! And by far the best concierge, named Mr. Freddy who is the kindest, most professional, and warm employee there. Every morning is brightened by his smile and warmth!
If you want to feel like you are living in a college dorm again, this place is for you. Droves of drunk residents come down the hall yelling and carrying their six-packs ready to go out, especially on the weekend. Luckily, youll be able to hear it like it was in your own living room because there is little sound-proofing and the doors only come down to about an inch above the floor leaving plenty of space for the sound to flow in. If youre lucky enough to live near the lobby, you are treated to an entire day of dogs barking and babies crying, as well.Edit: so glad I bought a house in Georgetown now because I constantly hear reports of nearby gunshots to this location via the Ring neighborhood notifications.
This is a great place to live. My wife and I were initially attracted to the rich architecture of the building and in the units as well, but we have found the staff here to have the greatest appeal,as we feel like we have been made part of the family. Big plus for me to have have easy access to a gym that is well equipped, not just with machines but an outstanding personal trainer as well. Thoroughly enjoying all the great shops, restaurants and things to see within walking distance. I worried about leaving my single family home in San Francisco, for apartment life in DC, and now I worry if Ill want to go back!
We had a wonderful experience working with Jon - he truly went above and beyond to find us our new home. Would highly recommend touring!
I truly LOVE living at the Camden Roosevelt. It is a beautiful building with amazing amenities. I have lived in Luxury buildings in Manhattan and Washington DC for over 12 years. This is by far the best! ALL staff at this location cares about the Tennants and truly make the experience living here awesome. The building Manager Jessica is genuine and very professional. Jon the Assistant Building Manager is always willing to lend a hand, no matter how big or small the task is. Gabrielle is new to this property, but has been a great addition to the team. Freddie, Caroline, Ruth, etc. are extremely friendly people. Besides the beauty of the building being overwhelming with such amazing Architecture, the aforementioned individuals are the smiling faces to greet you and make you feel like youre welcomed home. The Maintenance in this building is hands down the best ever! I work in Property/Facilities/Building Management and can honestly say, I have never seen such hard working individuals. Maintenance keeps the building looking beautiful & operating 24/7...kudos. I honestly cannot say anything that the Camden Roosevelt team could do better. They sould be the role models of all Camden properties! Thank you for making me feel welcomed and all you do.
Ive lived here for a little over 1 year. The price is good for this part of DC. The staff are great and the place is always very clean. Its convenient if you have a car, because you can park it in the garage (not included in rent).
Jon Edgar and Gabrielle Carrera have been very responsive and accommodating on what turned out to be a more difficult move than expected. People at the Concierge desk and maintenance have also been very helpful.
What beautiful apartments. So clean and stylish. Love it
Well maintained place. Being gradually renovated as tenants change. Management team is very attentive and responsive to tenants requests. Very friendly team.
Weve lived at Camden Roosevelt for just over a year. You can see from the pictures and a visit that the units are old world nice. Very quiet between units in all directions. The location is great with good bus service and very walk-able to Vida and 14th St.What may be more beneficial to know is that the staff is very welcoming, attentive and responsive. We have had the usual day to day in-unit service requests and the maintenance staff is very prompt to address. They even do unexpected things like install light fixtures. The front desk staff is equally helpful and the garage attendants run a smooth operation.
Best apartment building in the U Street area! Beautiful historic building, great amenities (gym, meeting room, front desk security, ATM, business center, even a wine cellar!), and you just cant beat the location---you can walk to Adams Morgan, U Street, Dupont Circle, Logan Circle and Bloomingdale in minutes, and you can take the S buses to downtown DC or uptown to Silver Spring along 16th Street. The apartment staff is great (send a maintenance request and its completed in a day). Happily have lived here for four years! (And hope one day we can get roof access?) :)
Great staff!
Lived here for four months now. Great experience - building is beautiful, staff is very friendly, maintenance is highly responsive.
Beautiful campus. Great place to stay.
Cool old building. Apartments are small but nice.
Weve been at Camden Roosevelt for 7 years now and still feel at home each and every time we walk in the door. Unlike most of the new buildings on 14th street, Camden has a beautiful lobby with room enough for just about anything. The place is rather clean. In the 7 years Ive been here, I think Ive seen 2 roaches. Both were already dead, and neither were in my apartment. The maintenance staff have been the same the entire time too. They know their stuff, and they act quickly to any request or complaint. Most importantly for us, Roosevelts location puts it in the sweet spot between entertainment and peace. We regularly walk the 2 blocks to either 14th or 18th streets for dinner, and really enjoy leaving all that noise and returning to beautiful 16th street.
Been here for a while, good place to live!
