I brought my car to J &H, at my whits end, asking them to help me, and from Tempest’s awesome and friendly greeting, to the amazing attention the team took in diagnosing all the issues my 2000 Volvo had, they took the time to find and resolve any issues, always keeping me apprised along the way, they understood how much my car meant to me, and gave it back to me, with a new lease on life, John is both old school and new tech. They are Five star + I took my 2010 Volvo in for inspection, very close to running out of time, they worked diligently to make sure my car never lost her very special vanity plate, I can’t imagine trusting anyone more.

Fan stopped working in my a/c & heating unit. They quoted for a blower resistor, and a connector, but when they actually did the work, they saved me 70.00 on the connector part because I didnt need it. I found that very honest & trust worthy, because i would have never known they could have just replaced both parts, like a lot of other places might have done. Also they took my car in on the spot & I had it back if just a few hours!!

I went brain dead during the Thanksgiving holiday and forgot to get my car inspected. I called J&H and explained the situation. They worked me in immediately. I arrived and was told that it would take 45 minutes to an hour. The car was inspected and ready in 30 minutes. From the moment I walked in until the moment that I left, they were friendly, straight forward and courteous. If this experience is indicative of how they handle every appointment and repair, you need look no further. Highly recommended!

J&H is awesome- took my car in the next day that I had it towed there and called with an estimate which was reasonable. They always make sure that my car is safe to drive and recommend the steps to keep it that way. My car is running great now!

I recently brought my jeep down to the wonderful people down at j and h. John and Jess could not have been more of a pleasure or helpful. They were flexible with scheduling and changing appointments, even picking up my car john was kind enough to to stay after hours just so I would have my vehicle that night. They honestly made me feel like a friend they were helping out rather than a customer. They were fair and honest they told me what they had to do why, how much it would cost, why it would cost that much, and on top of that my other options. They even printed me out a price before they proceeded with the repairs. The mechanics there were top notch everything was done properly and promptly. They are true masters of their craft. Top notch mechanic shop! Had electrical problems on my 2016 F-150 . Took their pro mechanics 2 hours to find and fix a problem that Ford failed to find or fix after a week. I was referred to J & H and couldn’t be happier and will continue to use them in the future.

J&H is great. I struggeled to find honest mechanics for years prior to first going to J&H. They really are trustworthy.

My air conditioning stopped working last summer and J & H figured out the problem and had it working in no time. They are such nice people and their price was fair. I would not hesitate to take my car to J&H whenever it needs service.

This is a good place to bring your car if you want to be treated in an honest and forthright manner. John, Jessica, and the rest of the staff were very friendly and courteous to my mother and I during our visit. They were knowledgeable in their own fields of expertise and did not attempt to pressure us or make a sale on repairs. Instead they gave very good, professional, thorough, and honest answers to our questions about the state of our vehicle and possible courses of action.Its very hard to get service like this at auto repair shops - Ive been to a few in my lifetime and I can say this was one of the best we found. Not the building itself mind you - the place is very loud, the exterior isnt too much to look at, and the waiting room isnt very big at all. But I have found that places with the extra cash to spruce up and soundproof their waiting rooms got that extra cash from their customers wallets.Although making tough financial decisions about your car is never easy, this was a great experience for us thanks to John and Jessica. I would definitely recommend J&H Automotive to all of my friends in the future.Update 2/22/18: Another visit and another pleasant, professional, and courteous experience. Jessica quoted me very fair and reasonable prices for repairs I thought I might need on my brakes beforehand. I got there 40 minutes early to my appointment but they were very accommodating. Not only that, John explained that the noise my brakes were making due to rust accumulation on the rotors and how it was harmless. Very glad and thankful for their honest and fair practices, and will definitely come back the next time I need work done on my car.Update 5/14/2018: And I did! The front brakes were completely rusted after a rough end of winter so I brought the car in again. Got a fair and affordable quote for parts and labor, decided to have the brake pads, rotors, and calipers replaced at J&H on the spot. Jessica found time in the schedule to have the repairs done despite it being last minute (I only called two days ahead of time) which I appreciate.Took the car for a road trip that weekend and went sightseeing throughout New England. No problems on highways, stop-and-go city traffic, and even back country roads. As expected, I noticed significant improvement with the new brakes when when braking on turns, in the rain, and performing emergency stops. As far as I can tell the job was done right and done well. Very satisfied and will revisit if I ever need other work done.Update 11/7/2018:Took my mothers SUV in for a brake job, front and back. You know it is time to replace the pads when you hear a metallic squealing when applying the brakes. Left the vehicle there and they completed the job in approximately four hours - and this was including lunch! The new brakes are smooth and quiet, very happy with the work done.P.S. Thanks again John for taking out the tree branch that got stuck underneath the car!Update 4/19/2019:Went back again, this time because the AC actuator motor broke on my 16 year old Pontiac. Of course GM made it so its nearly impossible for owners to replace this part, tucked in just the right spot underneath the passenger side dash that you have neither the space nor the clearance to remove it and install a new one. I took it to J&H after trying to remove the part over four and a half hours.John was more than up to the task, and he somehow removed and replaced the motor in an hour. I can only imagine what sort of gymnastics he had to do to get to the part, but he did show me how he constructed a tool to remove it on the spot. Thats why I go to J&H, John and the mechanics there have always done a great job without adding unnecessary repairs to the process. Will go back again the next time something comes up, hopefully with something much easier that requires a lot less pain to resolve.Update 3/2021: Still going here for great service that I can rely on for all of our vehicles. I would put more here but Ive hit the character limit for this review!

J&H Automotive Service worked on my wifes 2000 Z28 for a 1/2 hr and found the problem with the car. They have to order the parts for car and will be going back for the installation. A clean and friendly place to bring my wife car to be worked on.
