Had to call every few days for updates on ETA. Twice was told it would be done EOD but it wasn’t. Took over two weeks for a screen replacement in total - several days before ordering the screen, and at least several days after the part came in to do the replacement.Finally went in after being told it was ready but it still wasn’t, came back a couple hours later and still had to wait 10-15 minutes in store because it wasn’t quite ready.Laptop was returned fixed but with a couple significant scratches on the keyboard plate, not cleaned at all, and with zero % battery charge.Friendly interactions and nice to have a local spot, but customer service was severely lacking throughout.
I needed a replacement battery for my laptop, called and asked if they could get it. Said they would email or call me back to let me know if they could. No email or call back, so I called them. Said they sent me an email, I have zero emails from them not even in spam. Said they could get it by Friday. Said OK to order it and asked what time should I come by to pick it up. Said they would call me when it got there. Friday comes and no call, so I call 3 times, no one picks up. I drive over to the shop and there is a note on the door that they are out to lunch with an undetermined time to return. While I am sitting there the UPS delivery shows up to deliver the battery I asked them to order. UPS is unable to deliver because no one is there. I called two more times in the afternoon, on the 5th time (second call in the afternoon) someone finally picks up, I guess they took a 6 hour lunch break. They tell me that my battery has been delayed to yesterday.. No wait I mean Monday. That is literally what they said. I know for a fact my battery showed up on Friday and no one was there to accept the delivery. They are a incompetent group who I wouldnt trust with repairing a toaster let alone a computer.
Friendly staff and was knowledgeable about the repairs if needed.
These guys have always given me good results and have always been considerate of what it costs me. I will keep going back.
Initial visit was good, dropped off the laptop 0n 9/19. I was told that it would take about 3 days to take a look at my laptop. Fast forward a week and I still hadnt heard anything so I called them on a Friday. Was told that they hadnt looked at it yet and the manager was going look at it on the following Monday and give me a call. Monday came and went and I didnt hear anything back. So the next morning I showed up at 9am 9/29 to pick up my laptop. They never looked at it. Terrible service or no service at all. I wouldnt recommend them.

My PC was constantly crashing while trying to play games so I took it here. Did not expect the excellent customer service by a associate named Grayson. After giving me a quote before I came to pick up my PC, the quote I received was different from what Grayson told me. In fact, it was 250$ over! I didnt really care about having to pay the extra money because I wanted my computer back so I just payed the extra fee and went home. I receive a call a couple of days later from Grayson and he informs me that i was given the wrong quote and he wanted to give me a refund. Ive never been asked with no provocation for a refund before and I was shocked to say the least. Now my computer runs better than ever and I have the wonderful people at this shop to thank.
The best place in the Raleigh area to get your PC fixed. I had a lighting strike take out the motherboard. Dillon was very helpful in explaining the problem and offering affordable solutions. Thank you Dillon my system is running better than before.
I took my laptop into Xpert because it was not charging. I thought it was a short in the charging port but the service technician diagnosed that it was the charging cable and that I needed a new battery. I really appreciate his honesty and professionalism.

I brought a dead computer to XPert in Cary to recover the hard drive, and I left feeling all my data files had been stolen from me because the Cary store refused to provide any statement that my files, as my personal property, were safeguarded and not sold, displayed or otherwise shared. I believe the Wake Forest XPert store had quoted $45 for the service and changed to $55 once I came in. My feelings of discomfort grew as I interacted with the staff. I believe I had read reviews for the Wake Forest location, but when I learned I would have to leave my new computer to copy the drive over to, I found that difficult to do so it took a while to shop for a hard drive to leave for the day instead. I was told it can take a full day so come at opening. My GPS then led me to the Cary location, less than 10 business days later. I had been quoted $45 but Michel told me $55, so I called the Wake Forest XPert and they said the price schedule had changed and now it is $55 and they would not honor $45 rate quoted. So I stayed, and then Michel looked at my computer I was holding and said he was going to have to charge to take it all apart. There were visibly no screws in the back but I offered to remove the hard drive myself, and once he heard I could do that he said there would be no charge. So my misgivings began here, with his glum mood and the auto mechanic tactics. I told him the drive was not 1TB so was likely 500 GB. He told me it could be finished in a couple of hours or at least by the end of the day. He called me a couple hours later to say that there were 400 GB and the time remaining was 8 hours (which changes) so it would have to run overnight and he would call. He sounded excited and no longer glum. I started to feel somewhat uncomfortable leaving my files so I went at closing time to see if it finished. He was defensive and told me the time remaining was 1 hour 50 and he would call me in the morning. He did leave and lock up the store so I planned to come back at 10 am opening. He called before 10 am to say it was finished, and I said, Oh youre early, the stores not even open. Then he told me he had come in at 7 am, and he sounded excited. I brought in with me a statement that the store had safeguarded my property, and I asked him politely to sign it, or if he didnt like the statement I wrote he could write one. He then grew very upset and said he would not offer either a verbal or a written statement. He was very angrily asking me Why didnt you ask this when you first came in? I asked him why he was agitated and I told him that I was not concerned when I came in, but I would like the assurance now. He continued to be angry and agitated and refused to offer any kind of promise that nothing had been done with my files. He somehow forgot to charge me, and I was concerned by this degree of reaction and further that there would then be no record of the transaction so I asked if he wanted payment. I paid and I then called the Wake Forest XPert. I talked to Grayson and then Austin who claimed that the locations have no affiliation, that they split months ago, or three years ago or two. I inquired why they followed the same price schedule if they were different stores. Austin said to be competitive. I said if they are split they are surely communicating quickly to keep prices tracked so closely. Austin then mentioned that they had a service called cloning where they copy a hard drive for $45 and he would have given me that price if I had come there. But I had already asked this on the phone and they did not honor the price I was given or mention the term cloning. I essentially felt sheisted and overall heisted.
I brought my MacBook in a month ago because it randomly kept shutting down, I didnt know what was wrong so I took it to them. The first time they said it was the battery and I paid 187 dollars. It still did not work. I took it back and then they said it was the motherboard, then I paid 283 dollars. Now it works. I dont know if this is good time or bad time to have a MacBook fixed but I am glad they figured out what was wrong with it.
Went in to get computer screen replaced and repaired was gonna cost about 700 just for the screen it self got the computer back after knowing that was too expensive and my camera no longer works(worked before tho) and a Crack at the top of my screen leads to a Crack I previously made that wasnt their prior to going in to try and get it repaired.
Hello everyone. Xpert Computer did an excellent job in cleaning up my computer. It’s now running at peak performance. RAH! They recommended that I purchase I new computer soon. Hard drive is 10 years old. They sound like my wife but guess what, they are both right. I’ll be purchasing a new one by the end of the year. I will never bring anything back here again. I brought my laptop in with a crack in the screen. They didnt know how to take the screen off and tried to pry it off. When I went to pick it up because they quoted me too high of a price, they tried to tell me it came in that way, when I told them I had not they continued to lie and took no responsibility for their actions. I wouldnt recommend bringing any electronics in here.EDIT: ( RESPONSE TO OWNER):When I brought in my laptop, the screen was shattered in the corner, and the bottom was bent. However, in that particular model of laptop, the screen slides off, however all of the clips that connect the screen to the back of the laptop had been pried and bent off in different ways, indicating that they did not shatter from impact but from someone trying to pull the screen off. I verified this with 2 other local computer shops and they confirmed my suspicions. I understand that you have been in business fourteen years and maybe you yourself did not break the laptop, but someone in your company did and the laptop was not returned in the same condition and the part will now cost me $150 extra. Maybe you do a wonderful job elsewhere, but in this case you did not. I stand by my accusation.
A God send for small and medium sized businesses who do not yet need full-time IT support. Extremely responsive, reasonable prices and they dont try to sell you something you dont need. They are the IT go-to professionals for our medical training and device business.
I brought my computer here to have the hard drive and battery replaced. The guy gave me the various replacement options for the hard drive and only one of the three options was an actual hard drive with the same amount of storage on it as what I had previously (the others were newer, SSDs with less memory space). I decided to go with the normal 1 TB hard drive. Upon leaving, I realized that my receipt said Replace with 250GB SSD, which was not what I had asked for. I called back in (this was maybe 10 min after leaving the store) clarifying that I would need the 1TB Hard Disk Drive installed, not the SSD. The same gentlemen who helped me said, Okay that is fine, I will get that corrected in the system for you. I was assured it should be ready within about 3 days or so, and could pick it up that Monday.After a week of waiting, I received no phone call or notification that my computer was ready. My laptop wasnt ready to pick up in 3 days- it actually took 2 weeks, and when I had to call in (again) to check on its status, I was told theyd installed the SSD. I reiterated that was not what I asked for, and they said they could redo the replacement, this time with the hard drive instead. I dont know why it wasnt just done correctly the first time.So I pick up my computer, and use it for my classes like normal for two or three days. I had it plugged in almost every time I used it, but I began to notice the battery not charging. I had to bring the computer back in (at 7% battery when it began shutting down spontaneously), tell them the issue, only to figure out the new battery theyd installed was faulty and would need replacing. I left the faulty battery with them and was instructed I could still use my laptop (essential for my classes) with an exposed hardware panel due to the absence of a battery. As long as it was plugged in, it had power and could work. They said they would call me once they confirmed a time frame they would get the new battery in.That was a week ago and today I called in to figure out why I hadnt been contacted (AGAIN), and after being on hold for 5 min, the guy reconfirmed the problem, (he thought for some reason I still have the faulty battery) and looked up how long it would take to get a new one in (tomorrow, dare I hope). A process that took 2 minutes over the phone was drawn out for over a week.I am disappointed with the service here. The lack of communication and extra time wasted to fix issues which shouldnt have been issues in the first place made it super inconvenient for a busy schedule like my own. The prices arent even competitive so I would just recommend finding another tech store that could help you (hopefully in a more professional manner) than this one can.
Several months ago a family member had an HP computer that failed while his boys were playing a popular video game with others online.The computer froze and could not be booted normally. I took it to two national repair facilities twice each over two weeks. One of the stores sent the computer to their High Level Support facility, Nothing helped.Over 4 years of Word Files, Emails, Employee data and company projects etc. were gone (yes they needed to backup, but hadnt).I was about to tell my family member that his data was gone for good. I told a neighbor of my problem, and he suggested I try Xpert Computer Repair.Long story short - 2 hours after delivering the broken computer to Xpert, they called and said found data, but wold require a day or two more to retrieve the missing files.Several days later all the lost data was back in a new computer with automatic backup set up by Xpert Computer Services.Since the first visit, I have used Xpert several times for computer services.They are as good as you can find, and worth every cent they richly deserve.
They’re are efficient in repairs, communication with progress is a little haphazard.. but I’d go here any day

My MacGyver of a husband thought hed be thrifty and buy a screen repair kit online to fix his cracked screen on his own. After about an hour, 1000 pieces, and a half broken phone later....he requested I find somewhere to get it fixed. I brought the phone and its sandwich baggy of pieces in to Xpert and they immediately dissected his mess of a phone and reported it salvageable. After about 30 minutes I received a call that the phone was in repaired and complete working condition. Very happy with the speed, confidence, and willingness to tackle our phone mess. From now on, phone repairs will be left to the professionals ;-)

Ive taken two iMacs to them for system upgrades to accommodate my old software and both times the computer was returned to me exactly as promised including the installation of certain extensions required to run older software on a newer OS. Very personable and professional. Finally, a place nearby that fixes Apple computers.
I searched for local repair companies that I could trust in doing the job.. I came upon Xpert and contacted them over the phone. I was very satisfied with the customer service on the phone along with in the store. They completed the job as quoted in a timely manner. I am back up and running and very happy. Spoke with Kolton at the Wake Forest location and he was so professional and polite! He had even fixed my computer within an hour of me dropping it off. Great overall customer service and no crazy diagnostic fees. In times past, Ive paid $200 just as a diagnostic fee and only had to pay $35 with Xpert. So happy to have my computer back in a timely fashion as I use it all day every day for work.

Im glad to finally see a reputable computer repair store here in Wake Forest! I took my iPhone 4s into have the screen replaced, because my kid dropped down it the stairs, Jonathan and Kolton were very nice and informative about the repair. Having recently moved from N.Y. to N.C. I was so lucky to choose Xpert computer Service and repair when my hard drive crashed. First let me say the techs are very knowledgeable and helpful. They explain everything to you in words you understand and not in computer language. I have taken 2 computer to them and both time i was very happy with the results. I highly recommend them.

Finally, a computer repair place where I didnt feel talked down to and the employees didnt treat me like just another customer. I have been to most of the big box stores and used their computer repair services, but was rarely satisfied with 1) the time it took to get my computer back and 2) how much the repair cost once it was finished. The guys at Xpert Computers had my computer fixed the same day I dropped it off and had it done for much less than I had expected. They even got an issue with my email account straightened out that had been bugging me for ages. It has been a week or so since I got my computer back and it is still running like new and I couldnt recommend these guys enough. Thanks!

I went to repair my phone screen, and right after I got it back it started having screen issues. Where one part of my screen would not work. About a month later my screen re cracked on the side, and I did not drop it. This place is cheep for a reason. DONT GO HERE. I understand you can go back to get it re- fixed, but I could garuntee the service would not improve. It almost seemed like they rushed the process, as well because they only took 45 mins.
