I was driving from Cincinnati to New York in my 2007 Honda and the brake pads wore out. I went to five different auto repair shops in the area and no one was able to take a look at the car since it was 4pm on Veterans Day.When we got to North High auto, Greg (who has worked there for 33 years) said he could look at the car in the morning which we were happy to do because tomorrow morning was better than nothing.We were going to rent a car and after Greg heard our situation, he agreed to look at the car and figure out what the problem was. He was able to determine that the car needed new brake pads and rotors which he generously offered to complete that night even though they were closing and he was alone in the shop. He had the parts delivered and got to work. He did not nickel and dime us one bit, we could pay with cash or credit card, and he gave us a very organized and clearly written out receipt that I can show to my mechanic. He truly went over and above as we were traveling out of state and would have had to find another way to get to NY. But he agreed to stay late and fix our car so that we could get on the road.I have truly never had a better experience with a mechanic, Greg was professional and kind and I highly recommend you visit this auto repair shop for all your needs.

[I will update this should the end result differ from my experience so far.]After spending nearly $2000 on body work and parts, the clutch on my Honda deteriorated from a bit funny to non-functional over the course of 6 days. I literally Google searched local shops that do major repair, and North High Auto was one of the only one and thankfully they came highly rated. I can see why. The staff has been incredibly friendly and completely transparent. My quoted cost is slightly below some online resources average cost for the repair and Im getting some extras that add even more value. They were apologetic that my repairs couldnt be started sooner, but I had AAA tow it there on a whim, and waiting a week for a major job like a clutch/pressure plate/throw out bearing/flywheel and a slave cylinder seems perfectly reasonable considering a front wheel drive car isnt the easiest thing to replace a clutch on in the grand scheme of things.I expect great results and have been giving no reason to believe otherwise. Thanks guys!

Tldr: i got screwed out of about $600 in repairs that the shop should have taken care of.I initially brought my car in for a failed fuel pump. Service was done quickly and my car was running again. Would have been 4/5 stars, but then another customer there backed into my car causing some damage to the tail light and rear left corner above the bumper on January 9th, 2018. The guy was nice enough to tell the owner and when he looked at the damage, he only noticed the tail light. He settled up with the customer to pay for the tail light damage and didnt call me until a while after it happened, not when it occurred. When I arrived, I noticed the additional damage and pointed it out. He recommended a body shop to go get the damage assessed, which I did and was told would cost between 500 and 650 dollars to repair. I brought the estimate back to him and the owner said he would contact the other customer to figure out the repair. As days passed i called to ask if he had heard anything and either was told the owner wasnt there or that he expected the customer to be in for additional service later that week. A week later I called again..and again..and again. Every time the owner was either not present or unavailable. I now assume he didnt have the contact info for the other customer and when the other customer never showed up, didnt want to pay for the damage done while the car was in his possession. I never heard back from him and have no intentions of going back or ever recommending this place to anyone.

Got me in quick on a Saturday with a coolant issue and solved the problem quickly after the ordered part arrived.

We were traveling to drop our son off at West Point and we were having car trouble. We had made 4 stops before we went to them. We walked in and they immediately came out and looked at our car, within 15 min they had us fixed and back up and going. We are so thankful that they dropped everything to get us fixed. This shop is an absolute dream to work with! They are extremely helpful and always keep you up to date on the status of your car. Prices are very cheap, I have taken a Bmw 328i, a 335i, and even a 07 M5 to them and they did a great job. They even give you your old parts back to show they replaced them. Highly recommend!

I recently had new struts put on our Land Rover vehicle, which connect to the air suspension system. They replaced them with no problem and it cost me about 20% of what the dealer would charge.

We took our daughters 2006 Honda CRV there to get the snow tires put on. We asked if they could check out a clunking sound in the front end. Greg the mechanic found that the Front Right lower ball joint needed replaced. Instead of making us schedule another appointment to fix that, they worked her car into their already packed schedule, fixed it, and had it ready to go one day later!!! I do not normally trust mechanics, due to some previous experiences. This shop is honest, fair, and worth the money!!! They are the Good Guys, in a normally corrupt business world!!!

I needed some specific manufacturer airbag codes read from our VW beetle that couldnt be obtained using a standard automotive code reader/scanner. North High Auto Services (Greg) performed a full diagnostic scan of the vehicle and determined not only the specific airbag error but others that were stored in the vehicle as well. He stayed well beyond closing time to make sure I understood the error codes and presented me with suggested fixes for all of them. I was highly pleased with their service and would recommend them to others.

Tried to scam me out of $60 when they told me it was free to get my car looked it. Then they lied about what was wrong with it and added a bunch of stuff to try to make more money off me so I took it to 3 other shops to get it looked it and they said they were wrong

These guy are awesome!! I was on a trip from Boston to St. Louis, Mo and 10 hours into the drive my battery light came on and i had a very loud noise coming from where the alternator is. This happened at about 530pm. Some locals in Wadsworth recommended North high so I gave them a call. I had the car to them by 6pm and they verified that the bearings in the alternator were gone and that the alternator wasnt charging the battery. Knowing that I was stranded in the middle of Ohio, still 8.5 hours from home they kicked themselves into high gear and by 615pm the new alternator arrived from the parts shop and he was already working on my car. He said that he could possibly have it ready that night but I told him the next morning would be fine since I had been driving since 5am that day. He recomended a really nice hotel at a great price for the night and even one of his co-workers offered to give me a ride to the hotel!! These guy are VERY professional and VERY courteous!! They truly understand what customer service means!! Their prices are also VERY reasonable!! Knowing that I was stranded 8.5 hours from home, they could have easily price gouged me and charged me a very un-fair price, but they didnt!! He actually worked with my warranty company me and gave me a very tiny out of pocket price ($30) of diagnostics and shop fees that the warranty company wouldnt cover. I highly recommend these guys!! True Professionals and extremely friendly!!

The people here were very helpful and transparent about my cars repairs. My car needed a evap system repair, which i wasnt familiar with, so when I started asking questions about what was going on they took me out to see exactly what was happening. Everytime something would change, theyd tell me right away the cost of both the part itself and the labour. Even though at the end it was uncertain if it was totally fixed, they provided me with clear instructions on where to go next.

These guys are great. Stopped in on a Thursday and was able to talk to someone immediately about some concerns I had with my car. They were pretty booked up leading into the weekend so I had scheduled to drop my car off that Monday morning and have them take a look at it while I was at work.((Some back story on my car issues: I actually had stopped into North High Auto due to a reccomendation from someone I knew. I was frustrated with [insert Wadsworths other leading tire and service company here]. They had changed my oil, diagnosed what they thought the issues were, rotated my tires, drove it around after and sent me home with a quote of over $700. After leaving there my steering wheel was shaking so bad (This was new and happened as a result of the rotation). They told me I needed two new wheel bearings and two new serpentine belts (>$700). I was upset that my car felt even more unsafe after leaving that tire shop.))So back to North High Auto who called and let me know exactly what they found out with my car and what they could do for me. Turns out they just needed to tighten my belt, they were up to par, I didnt need to replace them. Then they let me know that my tires were broken, the bands in them and what not. I didnt even know this was a thing and the other place I went to first never even mentioned this as a possibility. So I was able to get two new tires put on, they ordered them and they arrived within a few hours and by the time I was done with work they had them on and I could pick up my car. My total bill was under $300. I drove my car home and the ride was extremely smooth and no pulling or shaking at all. Im a very happy customer. Thank goodness I didnt just give up and pay $700 to the other shop. Keep up the good work guys!
