Went here Friday, 6/11/2021 and got a full set of acrylic dip powder hot pink nails. I had two nails left on from my previous set. They set them in acetone for about 15 minutes and when the nails did not melt off, they ripped them off causing one of my nails to bleed. I didn’t say anything because I don’t tell any nail tech how to do their job, but during my manicure, 2 of my nails popped off while she was buffing them before she put the top coat on. Instead of criticizing the nail tech, I laughed it off. The nails looked great and the customer service was great, but not even 3-4 days later, 4 of my nails popped off. I refrained from calling the salon because I do not want to step foot in there again and waste my money. They charged me $52 I believe for a full set of dip powder acrylic nails which is very over priced if they will just pop off in 4 days. I have gotten my nails done since I was 16 years old and even when I had short stubby nails from nail biting I never had this kind of experience. This salon will not be getting any more of my service. If you are in the Waco area, please refrain from coming here. If you are in the Waco area, I HIGHLY recommend the “nail bar” very friendly customer service and my nails stayed on for 2 1/2 weeks before they started coming off. I chose not to go there on Friday because it was a bit out of my budget, but the extra $10 they charge for their nails will go a longer way than spending $52 on nails that will break in under a week.

Ok sooo don’t waste your time here…if the manager/owner lets you leave HIS place of business after HE performed the service and your nails look like a 3 year old polished them…. That speaks for itself… I just can’t believe what just happened… I paid and left but he lost the long term money… he must have forgot I gave him 120$ for the last set he did on my nails…

Jenny was amazeing, tried to pick pink but I changed colors and she didnt mind, was super professional and had a great personality, would recommend her and this place to everyone

I drive from Fairfield, Texas to have Andy do my nails. They last 4 weeks. Everyone is so nice and professional. Highly recommend this business.

I went to see these guys at 6:10pm on a Saturday and I had a bad experience with the previous owners and really did not want to visit but I broke 2 nails so I needed their help.... Andy and his wife Kim are amazing and have an amazing staff!! Big shout out to you guys think I have found new nail tech ♥️

The guy doing my nails was laughing the whole time because he was watching videos on his phone and had a headphone in. He was more focused on the videos than on doing my nails. It was really awkward. He didnt make any small talk and was laughing at his videos while doing my nails. I also bumped my nail while waiting for it to dry and he got irritated and told me not to touch them and then flattened the lump out with his thumb and added a clear layer (see photo... It was hard to capture the texture of the nail but notice how the others are smooth while my index has a pattern). You can see his thumbprint in one nail. I was very sad because I paid $30 to feel like I was interrupting this guys video. Okay prices, but not worth it... Will not be returning.UPDATE: Went back to get nails fixed and got them repainted free of charge. Had another nail tech and he was very understanding and polite. He offered to refile and fix my nails for free at another date. :)

My mother asked for matching toes and fingers, she left with fuschia toes and a thick, dull purple color. I had asked for a fill as in not a new set, file off the color. He proceeded to pop each nail off, I bled. Another woman did my nails, she filed my coffin shaped nails down literally to my skin. Not only that, but my nails are ridiculously long, not what I asked for. This place is also very dirty, about 2 of the employees actually had masks on correctly. And was very expensive. Do NOT recommend.

Usually go to Walmart to get my eye brows waxed and they were to busy to get me in, so I went here since it was close to walmart... my eye brows are so messed up. Uneven and one is EXTREMLY MORE thin compared to the other one. Maybe if she wasnt suggesting for me to get my whole face waxed cause I have a hairy face and also suggesting to get my upper lip waxed and just focusing on what I went there for they might have been done right. My face hair and upper lip is all peach fuzz and honestly it was rude of her to suggest it trying to make me feel self conscious to get me to spend more money. Will NEVER go back here nor suggest it.

I got a fresh full set of acrylic nails on Tuesday of last week. Three days later, I had a broken nail. I went to get it fixed. Two days after that another one broke. I got it fixed and then this morning as I’m getting into the shower, I notice another had broke. Today marks one week since getting them done and I should not have had 3 broken nails within one week when I’ve been working on my computer from home. I hadn’t done any house cleaning or dish washing or anything to have caused them to break.After getting the third one fixed, the tech (Andy) tells me that if I break another that he’d charge me to fix it. I told him that there wouldn’t be another time. Andy put my hand into the oven for my nail to dry and walks off with his back turned- yells something to me that I couldn’t understand and the other tech tells me “you can go, it’s dry”. I responded, “Really Andy.” Decided to walk out to avoid making a scene.Totally frustrating. My nails looked good, but did not hold for a week. Poor customer service. Attitude because they have poor products:I usually go to my previous nail tech and my set lasts me a month without ANY broken nails. And I am usually doing things like cleaning, washing dishes, etc.I believe they use poor products. Bad customer service. Do NOT waste your money or time.

The worst service ever! Did my pedicure in 15 minutes, my toe nails looked awful, she was in a hurry, my nails all crooked didnt even them, and i did pay for just a regular pedicure, but didnt eevn color my toe nails right, left so many spaces on the sides.$30 dollars not worth it, i have paid this in other places where they do a good job. I was passing by and wanted to try this place, but i will never come back.

First time coming in and I loved the atmosphere very comfortable and welcoming! Loved how my nails came out especially the shape! Will definitely come back!

I was pleased with my pedicure but my sister didnt get her design as requested, and they messed up her nail set. she wa incredibly disappointed. not sure that new management has helped this place 🤷🏽‍♀️

Absolutely love this place. Its very clean and the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. I went with the dip nail polish and I loved it!!! My natural nail looks so nice. They did such a good job that it doesnt even look like my actual nail. Would definitely recommend and come back!

This place has rude people. Did no get what I wanted.When I first got to the place I showed a picture of what I wanted and the lady said she could do it. When she was doing it she started getting rude because I told her that not what I wanted.I ended up having to get something different than what I wanted because she didn’t know how to do what I wanted. . . Oh yeah and because “I was been rude” they charge me more than what I usually paid.

My experience with Andy was exactly what I wanted. I was referred by a client and ever you fear about going nails done by some for the first time seriously he got me on point. His soul was free spirit andhumble and made me feel comfortable not just me sitting an him doing a rush job he made it right. I love love my nail 1st time client and he just gained a new client thanks Andy and the other ladies were so courtesy and kind as well.

So, I’m very picky about my nails and feet like any other woman. Today was my first time coming here. I typically just go French with gel on my feet and my nails are natural, so I’ll do gel or shellac color on nails. Today I got Pink and White tips along with French toes. It was really relaxing and they did a very good job. Miss Kim did my feet and the guy did my nails and I really love them. I’m new to Waco from Virginia and have tried several locations around here. I think this may be my new home. If you’re into designs (3d etc) that they do a really good job. However I’m really not for all that. Check them out ladies you’ll love the experience.

Ive been going here since I moved to Waco but my last experience will be my last visit. I was over charged for my nails. They gave my daughter a pedicure without showing her a price book and charged me $85 for a simple pedicure. Price gouging is eligible and I was over charged all the way around. I was completely disappointed. I will not return!

Droppes my wife off to get her nails done, they told her 30 minutes. We left and came back, she waites another 15 minutes, when several others that had their feet done now went to get there nails done before my wife. No customer service whatsoever.

I love my new nails.. I have been looking for a place to get my nails done In Waco and Andy definitely gave me nails to remember.. Definitely check them out!! And I will definitely be back!

I haven’t had my nails serviced for 2 years due to Waco not having a solid nail shop to give the service I expected with the prices charged.Until today, Andy did a great job! I am soooo super pleased with my nails, the service, conversation and the cost for the services. I challenge you to give him a try.

I had my nails done at another salon.. hated them. My friend brought me here and Andy fixes my nails without any damage and made them so perfect. Definitely coming back here and not going to the other place ever again.

Johnny is the best nail tech at Star Nails!!! Hes been there for about 4 months. I have been going there for 2 1/2 years. I am sooo glad he arrived. He really caters to making your nails look Great! Kim is also the Best person to give you a pedicure. Here leg massage is awesome especially when she massages the calf area! The restroom is always clean, and Ms. Lee the manager is very friendly especially when you get to know her.

Slowest service I’ve ever received from a nail place!!! The lady doing my nails couldn’t focus on my nails and kept getting distracted by other customers walking in the door which added to the time my mother and I had to spend in there. It took 2.5 hours for my mother and I to get dip powder nails... at any nail place that is efficient, it should take no more than an hour. Very disappointed with the service.

When I went to Star Nails to get my nails done for back to school, I got acrylic nails ( $30 )and you could tell they were fake and they weren’t cut even, and the nails weren’t painted all the way ! So if I were you I would go to a different place and make your nails worth the money you’re paying for them !

My pedicure was fine. I think it came out nice. HOWEVER, I also got a manicure. $65 for both. The guy who did my manicure was SO RUDE. He was very rough with my hands and trying to rush. He cut my finger and didnt apologize. I was listening to his instructions with the nail dryer and alternating both hands in there. So towards the end I put my hand in the dryer like I was doing and so I took my hand out to put the other one in and he told me no but VERY RUDLY and kind of yelling at me. I was fixing to just get up and leave. After he finished he got up and left without saying anything to me. For example, Have a nice night. or Have a nice evening. This man is darker skinned who wears the big watch on his wrist. I didnt get his name nor did I care to be there at all. I would NOT recommend this place for a manicure. I wont be going back.

Worst nail job I have ever received.And one tech asked for some of my fries that I had just picked up from the wing stop next door! I actually shared.Come on now some professionalism would be nice I could see if I had food from a far away land that you cant find in Waco TX but no, some fries from the establishment housed next door every day of the week.Then the male tech was beyond rude and then gave absolutely horrible customer service.I wouldnt let them paint the dog of my worst enemys nails.#GETOUT

This was the worst nail salon I have ever been to. First the guy was mad that I wanted a regular set so he tossed my hands around and was very rough with them. He didnt even make sure they were even on both sides . One side is longer than the other. They were all rude rushing people. I strongly recommend going elsewhere because these people obviously do not want business.

Its pricey. And when asked what I wanted my wishes were ignored. They pushed items and services I did not ask for. Got a new set of nails and less than a week later one of them broke. The woman attending me spent more time giggling and chatting with other workers than attending my needs. I tipped graciously but its highly unlikely I will return.

The first time I went to this place, I had a great experience! Unfortunately, my usual place was overbooked so I happened to stumbled here. Even though it was close to the time for them to close, I was still given excellent service! Upon entrance I was offered a drink and was immediately attended to.. The guy stayed focused on my nails and did a great job !! I get the dip powder and they had colors I had never seen before, so I went back again today since my previous experience was amazing and I loved their dip options and it was time for a redo .. HOWEVER, Today my experience was HORRIBLE !! The lady assigned to me insulted me a few times before she could even get started !! I think she was trying to joke around, but she said I was too skinny and needed to eat more.. I insultedly responded that I do eat and just have a high metabolism (BC its true, I can eat more than most grown men) .. She also expressed her dislike for my taste in nail style, saying the colors I were choosing were ugly!! How RUDE!! She tried to shortcut my dip nail process .. CLEARLY, its called DIP nails bc you dip your fingers in the powder HOWEVER, this clerk tried to use the clear stuff from acrylic nails to shape the dip onto my nail which looked TACKY !! It took me trying to tell her like 3 times to dip my nails bc I would make her start over if I didnt like the end product of how she was doing it.. She FINALLY did do what I asked after repeatedly asking her .. While I was there, 2 other customers got in arguments with employees over rude service!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM IF YOU LIKE QUALITY SERVICE !!

Worst experience ever. Got there waited 30 min in cold water the whole time then when the lady got to me she took 10 min to do my toes.. didnt even check for ingrown toenails until I told her to do so, and she didnt even paint them correctly. Had to turn around and pay $30, uhm no more.

The service was harsh and slow. Very uncomfortable. The painting wasn’t even done right. I will not recommend if my friends wanted some fake nails.

I paid 40$ for rude service and the guy left when my nails werent even done. He had to go pick up a friend. Then comes back and half asses it again. I do not recommend. They are rude, pushy and I dint when get what I asked for.
