David I believe was his name was amazing! He was able to take my car in today and replaced my alternator for me and my car was ready within a few hours! He even gave a courtesy call letting me know my SUV was done.And the topping on the cake was he gave me a discount for the labor because he said it was easier than he thought it would be to take out my alternator. Im 100% satisfied, and thrilled he provides warranty coverage! Would take my car back here again!

This was the place to go in the late 80s. Pleasant people with positive attitudes, but unfortunately not as skilled an operation as they once were. Probably still great for day to day problems with modern equipment but they werent able to offer me a starter solution for my 1964 application. Ended up getting it sent back, and taking it to a place a couple states away, and they had a solution on the shelf. Problem solved in under an hour.

I recently bought a nice low mileage used car from a private owner. As soon as I opened the hood my attention was drawn to a beautiful new looking alternator, which the seller had just recently had installed by her mechanic. As I said, the the alternator looked like brand new (as did the battery), so I expected zero charging problems. I was wrong. As I was driving the car home from North Carolina I notice its voltage hand dipping too low when I stopped for traffic and occasionally the headlights and dash lights would dim and flare. Clearly a charging problem!My research revealed the the beautiful new alternator had been installed by a large shop which had purchased it from their local big box auto parts store. My research also revealed that ALL of the big parts stores are constantly flooded with returns of these failing rebuilt alternators and starters, regardless of the brand. So, rather than gamble with another new alternator from ANY parts store, I remembered that I had dealt with Brownings before and was impressed. I removed the faulty alternator and took it into Brownings to be checked and repaired. That turned out to be a good decision! The folks at Brownings were all great. They found two serious mistakes the previous rebuilder had made and fixed them in less than two hours--- much cheaper than I would have had to pay for a new alternator of questionable quality from the big parts stores (or even the internet).We are lucky to have a business like Brownings in our area

This place is the best! I have used their services multiple times, and every time they provide the services needed to get me back in the road in very swift fashion, and without breaking my bank! This last time they saved my familys road trip from disaster, (story below) they are a blessing, and we really appreciate them for it!Filling up gas the night before our road trip the alternator light comes on. Local parts stores want over 250.00 plus tax. Remembering Brownings was a life saver. I headed down first thing the next morning and dropped off the alternator. I’ve always had great references for brownings. They’re always the go to guys for quick efficient repairs but I’m on round four of a failed alternator. It’s always something small but that something small sets me back every time. They say they can handle high amperage alts but even my smaller 290 amp alt has proven to be a task for them.

Brought my starter and my altenator on separate occasions and Brownings took care of me. I used my lunch time (Navy) to bring it by and they were able to get me out in just 45 minutes! Left me time to grab lunch.Thank you again for the unmatched service!

Browning Alternator is a great place to get your car fixed for certain things. They also give you a year warranty on their work. If your part doesnt work bring it back it will get fixed.

Sold me faulty alternator motor which fried my electrical harness set me back 100s to get repaired and when i returned to have them honor my 1 year warranty with receipt in hand i had to pay an additional 40 to have alternator repaired which was suppose to be covered uner their 1 year agreement! I’m not one to write a bunch of reviews but I had to give Browning’s. I called because I knew my starter was about to go.They told me to bring my car up there and they would pull it off and rebuild it for me. They were really busy but since I was so concerned with my car not being able to start back up they said they would try to fit me in. When I arrived Dave told me to pop the hood so he could check it out. At that point he told me exactly what he needed to do he couldn’t rebuild it because of the type of starter it was but he immediately got on the phone called around and found me a starter that wouldn’t break my pockets. I would recommend this place to any and everyone for your alternator and starter needs. The customer service is just a plus all of the guys are awesome.

Amazing service! They rebuilt the alternator in my 2015 Toyota Sienna. Dropped it off first thing Saturday morning and it was done in 4 hours. Complete service they remove the alternator rebuilt it and put it back in which for that car is a royal pain the whole front end has to come off. The price was incredibly reasonable for the amount of work especially considering Toyota wanted over $600 for the same job. Definitely recommend them!

Quick service and a great deal! I took my car over to Browning and I was in and out in less that 2 hours. And these guys were busy! I had tried to schedule and alternator replacement with others in the area and they could not schedule me for several days.The cost for rebuilding was less than half for a new alternator. The car in now running fine.

WOW! This is a great place! Took my Nissan Maxima in, couldnt figure out the problem myself, they took a look at it, figured out what the problem was, and in about an hour and a half had the car running again. Not only was it running again, it was running smoother and started better then when I bought it! They know exactly what to do, AND they charged me a very reasonable amount for the job. It was great! I will come back again if I ever need to have my car fixed again.

I drive 8 miles each day weekly on average. I do not usually drive on the weekends. I was off July 4th. The next morning on my way to work, my battery was dead. I had to get a jump. It has never done that before. My battery is less than 2 years old (previous owner). I have had the car a year and 3 months. I did not leave anything on the night before.Everyone else confirms it is indeed the alternator.I wish I would have been able to go earlier, when they were less busy. I arrived after 11:00. I spoke with Dave, who greeted me immediately. Since I only had two hours off from work, I could not stay longer. He at least took time out to check my starter, alternator, and battery. He even looked at my belt. He said he felt that my battery was weak, and NOT the alternator. He said that if the car was not dying out while I am driving, and according to his reading, it was the battery.I have gone to Advanced Auto and OReilly to have it tested both stores said it WAS the alternator and NOT the battery. I appreciate that he did not force sell me something I may not actually need.He let me know that it would be better if he actually took it off and checked it out. Based on my current budget I can only afford to do either the alternator or the battery right now, so I went to Interstate Battery who said its the alternator. They also recommended a blow out. It does seem wise to replace both parts I suppose. Sigh... I plan to return to Brownings, and let them take it off and see what they think. I dont know what else to do. I am very grateful for Daves time and energy. I went because of all the positive feedback I had seen on Google Reviews. I will return because of his honesty.

Man these guys rebuilt my alternator for 99 Cadillac deville in only a couple hours. I dont even recognize it when i pick it up. Take it home open truck door and it rolls out hits the ground and bends the fan and pully. Not only does he tell me to bring it back and fix for free he does it at closing time. Class A service.
