There were a lot of changes that happened after Pines of Newpointe became Doria Apartments and Townhomes. Despite everything Melanie Stone remained attentive and helpful, even when she was running everything alone. She always made sure our needs were met, and that everything was handled in a timely manner. She made our time here great. Thanks Melanie!
Only gave one star because I had to. Property manager accuses people of posting negative reviews……if I have to drive around discarded living room furniture to get home then yeah….if I have to clean up around the dumpster just to get to it so I can throw my trash away then yeah…..I have pictures of swarms of dragonflies feeding on swarms of flies which are feeding on piles of trash…….maintain your property like a property manager should and you won’t get negative reviews. Got that? Instead property manager becomes aggressive and rude when reminded of the state the dumpsters are in. Yet nothing is ever done about it. Just clean up the trash. Myself and other homeowners FROM THE NEIGHBORING PROPERTY are tired of doing for it you. It is a shared dumpster for the two properties but Doria is responsible for maintaining it. Good grief. Newpointe has no problem maintaining their dumpsters. Why does Doria refuse to maintain their dumpsters?
Moved in to one of the updated units about 2months ago, and I could not be happier! Neighbors are nice, and so is everyone in the office! We are very happy with moving here! Buster, our lab, loves it too! It seems like everyone has a dog too! Its nice to meet the neighbors while were walking him.Parking is tight, that is the only thing that is not a favorite, but so far everything else is great! Glad we were able to get in!
If I could give no stars I would. Unfortunately, I will have to live here for a few more months but I was going through a separation with my husband who happens to be active military at the time of applying to live here. Like a sane person I put single on my rental app since I was applying alone and found the best choice as a military spouse living alone with a toddler. Something I could afford and be approved off my salary alone. My husband and I ended up rekindling our marriage and while filling out paperwork for a different matter for the office, I briefly told the manager (Melanie), my husband would be moving in where she responded Ive been there, I know how it is. Fast forward to today, my husband receives orders out of state. I call expecting a harmless conversation on the process should we need to break the lease where Angel tells me Im divorced and need to provide my marriage license, cannot just go off hearsay because I now say Im married. She then puts me with the Melanie where Melanie said well I had no idea he was living there I would have made you fill out forms and I said well you didnt because I was in the office that day I informed you so I clearly wouldve done it that day. Then proceeds to put leave me on hold after I am insisting to her she did not inform me of any paperwork when I told her my husband was living with me. Angel calls back with a corporate number that I requested and when asking what paperwork needed to now be completed she responds by telling me I can handle it with corporate and in the middle of me speaking to her she hangs up on me. She kept putting me on speaker - its clear that this office is not handled in a professional manner and gossip and broadcasting a residents concerns are more important than actually assisting the resident or matter at hand. I understood that Melanie was overwhelmed handling an entire community alone so things may fall through the cracks and at first I was actually very happy with the way they handled COVID and rental difficulties but it didnt last at all. As a military family it is enough stress to have to pack up and move away from family but being met with pushback and having to jump through hoops for something their office did not have a handle on to begin with is just absurd to me. I wouldve preferred her saying she messed up and there would be more paperwork needing to be done now than the way this was handled today. I felt like I was in high school on a 3 way call being bullied.
They’re allowing renters to illegally tattoo people out of their apartments
Lived here for about 3 years. New management is great! Neighbors are nice. Location is by everything. Nice place to be.
Just moved in last month and from other experiences sometimes the rental office is the worst place to walk into .....today is not the case one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had in a 10 minute span ever. Very inviting staff that was genuinely eager to assist. i chose a very good community to call home .
This place is absolutely terrible! Please reconsider moving here. None of the appliances work it’s not kid friendly or dog friendly, the kids are constantly playing in the parking lot by the cars because there’s no where else to play! None of the problems have been fixed inside the apartment and every time you mention a problem to leasing staff they get attitudes like it’s our fault. They literally told us after our ceiling was leaking that we should have spoke up sooner and blamed it on us! I have never had such a horrible experience.
I moved here in the beginning of February. Lets start from the beginning. Before we signed our lease, the leasing office were refusing the let us see the apartment we were going to move into because it wasnt clean yet. We told them we werent putting anything down until we saw it. So of course, they let us see it. When we moved in, I did my first load of laundry. Someone didnt hook up the washer correctly and it flooded my entire living room. It was a disaster. Its been 4 months and they still have not fixed my hot water in one of my bathrooms. Prepare for roaches, ants, and nats. We still have nats flying around. Parking is horrible. And you will hear your neighbors if you are on the bottom floor. Stomping around and blasting their music. Nobody cleans up after their dog, children play in the parking spots. This was my first apartment and although the apartment itself is nice, the complex is not. I highly do not recommend Pines of Newpointe. Im counting the days till we move out.
Pines of Newpoint served it’s purpose. Me and my roommate stayed here to save money. I love that the neighbors pay you no attention. Everyone is in & out. The rental office gives you your personal space as well. Good luck getting them on the phone tho. Oh & the parking. I wouldn’t suggest a young female to stay here. It’s one space per unit no matter how many lives there. I’ve never had a bug problem. Except once, which they immediately handled when first moving in. No mold. The place is far from run down or an apartment like some people speak of. I couldn’t imagine staying her long term but short term to get yourself stable. Yes I recommend
When I lived there it was the worse experience I ever had. Multiple shootings, got off work late at night to find my front door wide open... twice. Even though I payed for the security monitoring, the alarm never notified the authorities. I asked for my locks to changed and for the alarm to be fixed multiple times.. nothing happened. I was over this place when during a 3 day weekend it was announced the office would be closed and rent had to tuned in by Friday before 3pm or you would be charged late fees. I went to the office at 1230 to find a sign on the door that said closed for the holiday... no problem I put my rent in the payment slot, and they still tried to charge me several hundred dollars for late fees. I refused to pay it. A few weeks later I find an eviction mNotice on my door. I said to hell with, and just left. Sure I played for that decision but it turned out to one the best decisions I could have made. These apartments need to be tore down.
ZERO STARS. Absolute worst experience I have ever had. This was my first apartment and the security in the complex is terrible. A package could not stay on my porch for more than 5 hours without it being stolen. My car and multiple other cars were broken into IN FRONT of my apartment. This was reported multiple times to the complex with no resolution. Not suitable for families, not suitable for single people or couples or ANYONE.
I moved here December 23, 2016 and put on my move in checklist that there was mold in the apartment. It still hasnt been fixed and has gotten worse. It took them all the way until April to even LOOK at it officially and told me to wipe it down with bleach water. Its growing on all the windows and the sliding doors, from under the carpet, on the wall and in the ceiling. No fix no concern on their part as of today. I had a city inspector out here earlier this month. I contacted the news via their website and Andy fox via his fb and a lawyer today. Im sick and coughing up stuff. I have three small kids, 2 with asthma and 1 with allergies. Its just ridiculous. Ive never been a problem tenant, my rents paid early and on time always and they still neglect to do their jobs and continue to pursue us in danger and keep us sick smh I wouldnt have given them any stars at all
This establishment for lack of a better word is horrific. The staff is very unprofessional and un knowledgeable. Save yourself the headache and trouble. No matter how cheap the apartment is, its too much. I suggest Promenade Pointe. More expensive, yet well worth it.
NO STARS!! DO NOT MOVE HERE WHATEVER YOU DO! I promise you your life will be ruined! The office team is a joke, and will never return a call. Emergency maintenance calls are neglected even if your ceiling is raining, they will leave you on your own. All their units are infested with millions of cockroaches and destroy everything you own! DO YOU WANT TO TAKE THE CHANCE THAT IM LYING?? ALL MY NEIGHBORS IN MY BUILDING HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM! IM SOMEONE THAT NEVER SAYS ANYTHING OR GETS UPSET, IM EMOTIONALLY DESTROYED FROM LIVING HERE! I can fill pages with the problems, but Im too upset, bc now the mgt has advised the team to not speak to me, bc I asked where to send attorney papers. THIS WAS AFTER THE MGR APPLIED THAT I AM THE PROBLEM! EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PROOF ON DOCUMENTS AND VIDEO THAT THESE BUGS WERE HERE SINCE THE VERY DAY WE MOVED IN, AFTER OUR STUFF WAS ALREADY MOVED IN. I HAVE TO REPLACE EVERYTHING I OWN!! The only name of a district mgr I was given, she always out w the flu, or somehow unreachable. They refuse to give any name or contact. I called another property they own, just to be directed back to my home office team. You will never get anywhere w these crooks. Save your life and never give Boyd Homes another thought! Im living a complete nightmare, and all they do ever do is give false promises. The managers keep getting fired, the staff is constantly being replaced. I now have to meet w an attorney for any hope of getting out of this place w o penalty!!!
Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!dont not move here Current resident The park is horrible you cant even enjoy your apartment because of parking they have lawsuits over the parking they will give 500 gift card just to charge you 145 for a tow when vehicle has parking pass. I have paid for a tow 5 times now
The apartments are not worth the price... had a continuous problem with roaches and had to buy bug killer ourselves. The electrical outlets will not hold the plug in the walls without a three pronged adaptor... I will say this, that if you want any help getting something done with this place talk to Rebecca at the front desk. She is amazing and will make sure whatever you need gets streamlined ASAP!Still would not recommend moving in here, not safe for kids for I have witnessed a gun being shot off in the parking lot myself.
Horrible experience since I moved in last year. three months after I moved in there was a shoot out in the parking lot of the apartment complex. The kids in the community arent supervised when they are outside. The kids play in the middle of the parking lot throwing footballs around the tenants cars, on four different occasions I have walked outside and witnessed them throw the football and the ball has hit several cars including my own. Ive complained to management about it, still nothing was done. I stopped parking in my assigned parking because of the situation. So if you have a nice or a nice and expensive car, I wouldnt advise you to move here. The apartments are infested with ants and roaches. The neighbors who smoke marijuana and at times my family and I can smell it in my apartment. ***Management here sucks they are difficult to get in contact with face to face and they do not return emails even though they tell you to email them. Be careful and present when their maintenance men enter your home because they will lie on you and tell management that you have something in your apartment that you do not have. From me to you I would even video record the visit and the work that was done in the apartment. This is because the employees all the way up to management here are shady and the way they do business here is shady. Overall I do not recommend this area or these apartments to ANYONE.*** The only reason. I even gave this place a star is bc the site wont allow me to post my review unless I do so.
THEEEE ABSOLUTE WORST PARKING IN THE WORLD!Please do not move there if you have more than one car, or a significant other! You get one designated spot and they will still tow you (even though your a paying on a lease) ! By 7 pm all visitor parking is gone! I’m familiar with their 3 bedroom loft which is beautiful ! However I would like to think that most people in a 3 bedroom would have more than one adult, which means maybe.. just maybe.. more than one vehicle! Clearly due to parking you can’t have any guest over at all! Nothing’s worse than coming home from a long dad of work on your feet and not being able to park within 1 block of your home! Sometimes my fiancé has had to park 3 or 4 courts over which is just ridiculous! Not safe for young women or children who have to walk from their cars in the evening! All together I believe their is maybe 6 visitor spots in are area and believe me they fill up real fast when 3 residents have girlfriends or boyfriends that leave their car sitting in it all day to save a spot and use the other car ! If parking was fixed this place would be ideal! It’s very unfortunate that this is what people have been dealing with for so long! It blows my mind ! Management is very hard to get ahold of so pray you have no real emergencies!as far as bugs are concerned I haven’t seen any roaches but ants are definitely an issue! My fiancé left a bow from dinner on his end table in the bedroom and it was completely infested with ants by the A.m! Is the price good for the amount of Space you get! Absolutely! Is the service and maintenance a pain in he butt to get ahold of! Absolutely! Will you have a headache between management, parking, and ants, yes for sure! Pick your battles!
I just dont like the schools down here it is so scary bad but real and the neighborhoods are so ghetto like really but it is a good place to stay not live but I hate it down here go to the oceanfront at least there is a beach an a good place to stay except Atlantis and friendship on birdneck road it is ghetto but so fun then the bayside area it seems like the west side down here
Moving in on Sep 1st, cant wait!!! Hope to meet lots of new neighbors! Who wants a BBQ when we get there? :)We found out we didnt belong in that area, we donated our deposit so we didnt get shot moving in.
These ppl will try to scam you when its time to move out!! Beware!
Im just saying good place to stay except lake Edwards it has lots of gangs but the schools are terrible do not bring your child down here ok
U only get one parking space per apartment, i got locked out and no one would come and unlock my door even tho i talked to maintenance and they said they would, they charge 25 for a new parking pass and there isnt close to enough visitor parking, oh and management is complete garbage
The parking spaces are horrible!!
