Overpriced.overpriced.overpriced. for the price they are listed it is a joke. They claim they are renovated but no microwave comes in the new apartments. don’t expect a walk in closet with the one bedroom. The size is a joke..very small. No gym and the pool is closed most of the year. Grills are outdated. Fleas at the dog park. So what amenities are you really paying for with the price of rent going up and up?? On top of high rent you have to pay to wash your clothes which adds to extra money out of your pockets. Tons of cobwebs outside that need to be pressure washed. Oh and can’t forget the constant leaks that add to black mold and critters.but enjoy your overpriced apartment (sarcasm)..listen to the reviews please. take this as a sign. My fiancé has lived here for almost a year. Was considering moving in with him here to start our family when the lease renews but we are looking elsewhere. I can’t be pregnant and have our baby around black mold.
I’ve lived here less than a year and have had more issues in this “renovated” unit than I’ve had living anywhere else. The emergency maintenance line is completely pointless. Whether you have an emergency or not, no one will respond until normal working hours. The maintenance team are the only good employees. Since being here I’ve experienced plumbing issues, pest and vermin, along with loud noise from neighbors. Just to name a few things. The office manager is not responsive to issues that are bought up. There’s currently an on going leak in my unit in three different places and it’s been reported for over 2 hours and no one has responded. I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. It’s honestly the worse in Hampton roads.
I moved in December of last year. The move in was great. I called the maintenance hotline to report an issue with the refrigerator. No one came out. I called again to ask when someone would come out because my food had spoiled. They finally sent someone out that following Saturday ( almost a week later). I called back to advise that the refrigerator was not keeping things cool and my replacement groceries were in the process of spoiling again. No one came out. I called and advised for them to come and remove the refrigerator because my family purchased me a new refrigerator because the refrigerator was not keeping my food and the replacement refrigerator was full of mold. The rental manager called me to advise I could not purchase my own, I had to allow them to resolve the issue. I advised I did twice. The second time I reported the issue no one came out and the only reason you called was because I requested to have it removed. Not only am I not allowed to have a refrigerator that was purchased, brand new, I havd to accept the appliances in an as is state because I am not renting a renovated apartment. Nor is this complex willing to reimburse for the spoiled food. I was advised to contact my rental insurance company to file a claim. Toggle insurance stated a claim could be filed if the loss was greater than my deductible. My deductible is $500. So I am screwed and hungry in my apartment that I have been in for less than a month.I have a right to have working appliances that work and is free of mold.
Living here under the new property manager has been terrible. I had an AC issue that caused black mold and three months after filing my initial maintenance request, they’re finally trying to offer a solution. Property manager has not spoken to me once About this or tried to make any kind of accommodation.
Terrible. I dont recommend. Staff are rude and unprofessional.
This place compared to other apartment complexes is very quiet. Everyone kind of keeps to themselves but is still very polite in passing. The staff is unreal. They are so nice and so respectful. We asked for them to put in a trouble call and maintenance came maybe an hour and a half later to fix the problem. Rent is very affordable and if I knew about them earlier I would’ve stayed here for a lengthier period of time.
Good value for what you get. I have had no issues with them. Been there a year and about to renew. Maintanence has always been prompt.......that was over a year ago, but things change! If you live here, I hope you have patience. Neighbors blast music all through the night, office did nothing about it. We just gave up. You share hot water with the person below you so you have to coordinate when you want hot water or there will be none. Smell pot every time we walk down the hallway to our apartment. Appliances are old. They need to renovate.6 months later....To add more, make sure YOU maintain contact after moving out. They will not contact you with any outstanding balances or cleaning fees. They will send to collections without any warning. We scrubbed down the apartment but forgot top of fridge. They charged us for cleaning the carpet when we were told they were replacing it after we moved out. Its our fault for not getting that in writing. All Im saying is, stay on top of everything because they will try and find a way to screw you.
Apparently no body works here ive tried contacting them multiple times, no response
I have lived here since July, 2013 and I am quite happy with my experience so far. A couple of other reviews I just read refer to rude employees and a bad material state of repair (they were old too). I have not had any experiences of the sort. The management staff is friendly and they work hard for their residents. On the rare occasions Ive had a maintenance issue they have responded promptly, and they always follow up to see that Im satisfied. Can you find a nicer place to live in Virginia Beach? Of course, but you will pay more for it. It is a good value in a convenient location. Ive lived in Virginia Beach for decades, and Green Run has always sort of had a less-than-perfect reputation which is something beyond the control of the management. Again, my experience has been fine during these first six months living in the Green Run area. I walk around the area day and night, and have never felt unsafe at all.I would highly recommend it to anyone with a mid-range budget. The only reason I didnt give five stars is that it is not a luxury apartment community. No one asked me to write a review and Im not friends with anyone in the company. Ive been meaning to write one for a while, so when I visited the website and saw they were skewed negatively, I was strongly motivated to call it as I see it. I only wish I would have done so sooner!Ben T.
After I moved I was trying to move back the rent was reasonable but not now its very expensive for a two bedroom they went up on the rent.
We have been here for a few years now, and have gone through many property managers and maintenance team... some friendly and some not... the property is old and theres always something broken... the property manager thats here now ( Heather Butters ) is the least informative property manager Ive ever seen here... for example... she has had contractors ( plumbers) come out and do work on the cut off valves but her emails and texts about the work being done went out around the same time the water was being cut off... one time recently my water did not come back on until 8pm... and if you have any maintenance problems good luck getting them resolved... theres a process to getting maintenance attention... the area is ok but the managers SUCK...
Not very up front about the application requirements. They will take your money for the application fee and then reject you. I was told as long as you dont have any rental evictions or debts to utility companies then youre in. This was not the case. Ask a lot of questions before you apply! The kitchen appliances are very old school too. You all need to upgrade your appliances if youre gonna charge over $900 a month for rent.
I was invited as a guest to a party being held at the Tivoli Apartments. The hosts who invited us rented out a small building and pool right next to it. Even though they paid to rent the pool, we were forbidden to enter it because the pools pump was broken. Though my friends and I were disappointed, we did adhere to the instructions of the maintenance man running the place.Later, as the party was coming to a close, my brother and I looked into the pool and noticed two ducks sleeping at the side of the pool. It is not difficult to understand that any bird will poop where it sleeps; this is the sort of thing my brother and I have to clean up daily back at home. So, we decided to quickly hop the fence, get a kick from scaring the ducks away, and keep them from pooping everywhere.Unfortunately, the maintenance guy caught us when we hopped the fence to get back out. As we were leaving, he verbally assaulted us. As we were leaving, I continuously waved to the man to let him know we were leaving, which he interpreted as mockery. We walked to the parking lot where we meant to meet other departing guests. He followed us out to the parking lot and continued to harass us, and accused us of mocking him and trying to take a swim in the pool when we were instructed not to. Attempts to explain the situation to him were futile. He contacted our hosts and wrongly held them responsible for his misconstrued understanding of what we had actually done.
Heat went out during winter, they didnt call person to fix it as it was later Friday (more expensive). Gave my family a space heater for 3 days during coldest time of year. Washers and dryers smell like urine. We left to buy house, they had our info including phone#s. They told us they would try to get someone in soon so not to charge us 2mths rent. We were a young family trying to get started so that was nice. We didnt hear from them until about 3 mths later an attorny called saying we owed 2500 that we needed to pay within a week or there would be legal problems. They placed a letter in our mailbox at the apt that we moved out of 3 mths earlier about what was due (2 mths rent, they lied about getting someone in. They actually made someone wait that was ready to move in just so they could get our money). They placed letter, no stamp so it wasnt forwarded. They had our phone #s, they chose not to call. We didnt live there anymore, how could we have received it. We had to pay the 2mnth and attnys fees.Find someplace else! We were good tennants, never complained unless something needed to be fixed, paid our bills on time. They dont care about you at all like others have said. You are just a check to them. I could go on with more things...
