Do not take your car here for an inspection. You have been warned. They failed me and told me that my brake shoes needed adjustment, I needed both front strut assembly, I needed a new dog bone assembly mount and after they did that they would have to do a alignment, and I couldnt have my parking sticker on my front windshield. If they would have fixed it my total would have been $975. I never had a problem with my car and it ran perfectly fine, so the next day I took my car to get inspected somewhere else. The mechanic saw the notes from the last inspector and said that he could not find a reason why my car would have failed the inspection, it passed and I saved almost $1,000. Would give them a zero star if I could.

State inspectionI was very pleased with the professionalism of the mechanic that handled the state inspection on my vehicle. There were two issues found and he(Mel) explained them in detail. I accepted the failed inspection, corrected the issues then went back to get reinspected. Mel saw that I corrected his findings and issued my sticker. I will return to thus shop for future services.

They gave me a good price and had me on my way in no time. Very pleased with my experience here and will be back for future needs.

After I had recently changed the brake pads for my car, two monthly later I took the car in for a State inspection, they failed my car for having thin brake pads all around……very dishonest shop would lie to make money. Very disappointed, when I told them on the phone the brake pad were recently done they just hung up on me.

Went here for state inspection because my regular shop was booked up. They got me in at a decent time and were very professional. I had a few issues with my vehicle that needed fixing in order to pass which i already knew about so it was no surprise. They even brought me out into the shop and showed me which is something most places dont do. They gave me a good price and had me on my way in no time. Very pleased with my experience here and will be back for future needs.

They charge me computer diagnostic fee for $124.23 .(state inspection anywhere is $20)?and they failed state inspection.one man say I need repair for wiper motor . cost me 200+labor100. And went they done everything. I look the bill is 550. Is double price . Over charge me . Absolutely Horrible services . Never go back again .

DONT GO HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. I used to always take my car here, the last 2 times they have FOUND b.s. reasons to fail my car for inspection. This last time, they called me with 2 items when I explained that they were wrong and looked it up. He calls back and says oh he found something else, since it was something i couldnt check myself I had the work done. But its total b.s. it seems like they HAVE to find atleast 500 bucks on your car each time. I will never go there again. Your crooked ways have lost a customer and I will tell everyone I know not to come there.

I took my Toyota RAV4 in for a state inspection, and was called shorty after saying there was a loose ball joint. The technician quoted me $486 to fix it up so that it could pass. I felt a little off about the situation- so I brought my husband (who is a retired Toyota Master Technician turned Matco Tools Franchise Owner) to come look at it before I agreed to the work. He looked it over with the technician and it took less than 10 minutes for them to drop the price from $500 to $20. I got my inspection sticker with an apology. The technician was professional when his mistake was pointed out, but did use the excuse that he was the only guy in the shop and couldn’t shake the wheel and see at same time. I thought that was a terrible explanation for something that would’ve ended up costing close to $500 at the end of the day. I hope they be more careful in the future, and realize that inspector licenses can be revoked if someone has the time to get a state trooper involved.

Its absolutely amazing how many defects they keep finding in my truck. 3 years ago, I had a defective headlight(true) and they offered to replace the bulb. No harm,no foul. It wasnt until much later that I noticed that they misaligned them so the one was much higher. Last year, they quoted me because of some fluids and tires roughly 1K. I went to the people I normally use and the price was 1/4 their quote. The only reason I dont use my people is because they dont do inspections. Not sure about other services, but if you can help it, dont use them for inspection.

I would give this place negative stars if it was possible. Went in for a state inspection, failed for 3 different things. THATS NOT THE ISSUE THOUGH! While the where doing the seat belt check on my back seats the broke the release mechanical latch, they didnt tell me about it, and this morning they of course deny that that caused the damage.I was going to have the truck repaired by them, but not now! I wont even buy gas there any longer.

Ive taken two different cars on two separate occasions, Mike and his team have always been Courteous, Professional and Honest. All jobs were done well and I have no complaints.

When I went to get my car fixed here I had a great experience. Several months ago I went to take my car in to have it looked at just for a regular checkup. They didnt find anything wrong. I am glad to know that they will not try to find something just so they can get paid.Several months later I returned to have a noise checked that my car was making they gave me the insight that I may want to upgrade to ceramic brakes over the lower quality composite brakes I had due to the fact that they were already worn about half way. Since I already had been looking into getting ceramic brake pads I had them do it. In addition to finding out that the pads were more than half way worn and should be upgraded, they found that one of my front sway bar links was completely broken so I had them replace it.Not only were they able to find what should be fixed and improved on my vehicle, they are honest. A day after my sway bar link was repaired, my car started making noise due to a sway bar issue. When I took the car back in to have them look at it, they found the defective link that they installed and replaced it, free of charge.They are a great business who doesnt try to find things to charge you on and if one of their parts fails, they will gladly replace it free of charge. I would definetely recommend them.

Absolutely great experiences here! Extremely honest and quality work. I had my brakes fixed about a month ago, and they did a great job for a reasonable price. Today I was nervous because my car didnt start once, so I decided to take it in. They did a full inspection and found no mechanical difficulties. It would have been easy for them to say something was wrong and charge me for it - I really dont know much about cars. Instead, they were honest and didnt charge me for anything. I really appreciated the integrity!

Excellent service, extremely fair rates, and honest. I needed some work done so I could pass my inspection, and they were up front and quick, and the mechanic even handed me a bottle of cold water and talked to me directly about what had been done. They were friendly and didn’t treat me like I was an idiot just because I’m a woman - which unfortunately happens a lot when it comes to cars. 10/10 will definitely go back again.

Dont go there. They quoted me $500 for repairs on a inspection. I spent 20 bucks on light bulbs from the auto parts store and explained to them that there quote was outrageous. The customer service answer was well I didnt know about that.

Went in for an oil change, fix a highbeam, and get an inspection done. Total came to $134 great deal right? About six months later I started having severe electronic problems with my Jeep. I wound up spending over $3000 to get these electronic problems fixed. The car was running fine up until I brought it to Skymart do not bring your vehicle here for anything! The price is cheap because the quality sucks.

Skeptical at first, since I needed my Dodge clutch to be repaired after being scammed from a c-list troll. But after meeting with crew and a set timeline of when parts will be in and a repair end date was set. Very impressed- they delivered amazing service and will come back for check-ups or minor tunings for sure.

The only reason why I give this a star is because the guys were genuinely nice but the business here is terrible. I have had shaking on my car whenever I’m at a high speed and need to break, I brought my car into them and said I need an oil change, and an alignment and to figure out whatever may be causing the shaking. I’m informed that the shaking is my control arm and the total for all the work I needed done and labor would be $680. Now idk who has $680 laying around but I don’t. So . The man at the desk informs me that if I get approved I can do a financing program. So fast forward I get approved I pay $160 down and now I’m making payments. I pick up my car and about 2 days later I notice my car is still shaking. I call them and let them know that hey I’m still feeling the shaking and now the front of my car sounds kind of loose when I go over bumps and what not. “Oh okay bring it back in and we will take a look at it” 😒 so I brought it back in her a call and they say you are good to go everything is tightened looks 100% good. Uhhhh negative. After I got my car back AGAIN it was STILL making the noises and doing the shaking. This time I contact the owner who informs me that I can bring it in to her looked at again and they will help me their sorry and whatnot. SO I get a call and I’m informed that I need a new sway bar, rotor and breaks and that may actually be what’s causing the issues but it would be $480. Here’s my thing and correct me if I’m wrong. I paid and am still paying $680 for an issue I asked to be fixed and they want me to pay $480 to fix other parts that MAY be causing the problem 🤔 the alignment and oil changes I needed for sure but the shaking I needed fixed as well. If I paid let’s say $500 to fix the shaking issue should it not be fixed ? Why are you trying to charge me more to fix the issue I asked you to fix the first time? So here I am with a car that still has issues but I also have a $680 bill to pay. I will be taking my car to get further looked at and they will also let me know if that control arm was even replaced or even a issue. ( oh little side note I had both of my control arms replaced in 2017 not sure if they wear and tear that quickly but) I am so sick of just because I’m a female and may not know much about cars these service places try and get over on you. You go to one they tell you $600 go to the next and they’ll tell you that’s not even what’s wrong or side we can do it for $40. I feel very disrespected and honestly don’t know what I can do to fix this issue. I basically have to deal with it which is terrible. Not to mention PSA by the way !!! They don’t inform you that the financed loan of not paid off within a certain time collects 199% interest. Yup you read that right 199%. I will never get my car serviced here again. Sorry for the long speech but I suggest you really find another place you can TRUST to do your car.

Indian River location: The mechanic / state inspector Joshua tried to scam into getting the control arms replaced at a cost of 1393.90 in order to pass inspection. This occured on 4/5/19. This same situation occurred to another customer about five months ago. Do you see a pattern here? I have had two mechanics tell me the control arms are good. I have the evidence and documentation to back up this allegation I will be talking to the owner of skymart. I hope he is not part of this con. A refund of my 20.00 for the failed inspection is all I want. I will be telling everyone I know that skymart is a corrupt shop. Additionally I will be contacting the state

Failed my car for inspection. I was told the front bushings on both sides were literally cracked in half a side signal light was out and one of my tires were facing the wrong direction and would need to be flipped. The original total cost for the repairs was over $1000. I talked the price down to $930 but decided to reject it and take my car home. When I checked the signal light and tires I found there was nothing wrong with either one so they straight up lied. And the bushings had a hairline fracture so that was a complete exaggeration. Not to mention the fact that changing out bushings in a shop would take no time for those guys and the parts cost $20. I could understand charging $200-300 to make a profit but $930 is rediculous. Just a bunch of lying thieves here.

I went in for inspection on the 28th and it was regected which I expected due to some recent repairs. So, I went to another mechanic to get what I was told to get done and failed again due to the inspector not communicating with the guy at the front desk properly nor the myself about my headlamps that was the last result to be replaced. So then the next visit, I met up with state trooper to reinspected my car and was rejected which was I got the reason to replace my headlamps and now got the headlamps replaced. and they regected my inspection again because the inspector felt I should not got the state trooper involved when I felt he was not doing his job nor communicating with me from the start to let me know what was wrong with my headlamps. So now I am on my at least 4or 5 inspection due to my headlamps because he say whoever put them in did not properly adjusted them and I asked if he could and he did not want to because I got the state trooper involved. I will not go back to them AGAIN!!!!!

This is the second time Ive done business with Skymart Service Center on Lynnhaven Rd. The first time I used them was for replacement of both front struts on my older model Celica. They did a GREAT job and saved me well over $200.00 from what the Toyota Dealership was going to charge me. The second time I used them was for replacement of worn sway bars and links. They gave me what I considered to be a good deal on that as well. I dont know why people are giving them bad reviews?. They have EXCELLENT Customer Service and have always treated me well. I will DEFINITELY keep using them. Theyre good guys and I do recommend them.

I noticed my state inspection sticker was due for an update by the end of this month; while at Lynnhaven Mall- I searched nearest auto shops near me and within a few minutes I was talking with a mechanic and said to stop on by. They were quick and nice- and saved me a headache until next year.

The garage management seems to change hands a lot. One of those places that HAS to find something wrong when they inspect your car.

Horrible place to get an inspection done. Rude and I felt like they were just finding things to fail me for so they can get the money. My headlight was out and they told me I needed to buy a whole new headlight assembly for 250$ plus labor. Went to firestone and they told me different and passed me. All i needed was to replace the headlight.

I have taken my car here for about 3 years for inspections since its a walk away from my apartment. Every year they fail me even though my car is completely stock, less than 50,000 miles, and regularly maintained. They find some silly reasons Ive never heard of but, I have my husband fix their issues and pass the next inspection. This time when I showed up, they imediately gave me attitude and didnt even look at me or my car yet. Before showing up I had a buddy who used to do car inspections for Virginia give it a look over to make sure i had no simple things that could fail me. Of course, this place failed me again (Im all about giving companies benefit of the doubt so I figured Id give them one more try). In the past they had failed me for leaving my parking pass on the rearview (yes I know its the law), a zip tie on some wires, and a single light bulb that wasnt stock (even though I bought it from my dealership). If they were more kind and didnt have an attitude from the get-go every.single.time, then I wouldnt have taken the time to write this 1star review.

This shop is a complete joke. They are way overpriced. They do not stand by their word. They will fail you for a inspection just to get your money. This place has gone downhill since mike left!

The owner thought he wasnt going to pay me for training because I quit within two weeks of working for him.I called 3 months after I quit to get my check and he refused to pay me so I called the labor board and got my check the next day.He doesnt want to pay his employees what theyre worth.

The only reason I took my vehicle to this place is due to the proximity to my home. Do not I repeat do not take your car to this establishment for an inspection. I am ready everyone else review as well. And trust me, everyone is not lying!! They are a ripoff. They try to nickel and dime you for everything. Save yourself time, money, and a headache!
