All brake system lights were on in our 2008 Town and Country. Took time to find the specific problem and charged a reasonable price. Lights are off. All good.

Nobody likes getting a car fixed. But its worse when you go to a shop for one thing and the mechanic finds something else wrong. THATS THEIR JOB!!!! Would you be mad at a doctor if you went in for a cold and they found something worse? Of course not, you would be grateful they found it and are doing their best to make you well again. But unlike a national chain repair shop or dealership, The mechanic at Royal Palm will take the time to show you the problem, why its the problem, and what needs to be done to fix it. He doesnt hide behind jargon or try to be deceptive. He doesnt hide fees or throw parts at a car until its fixed. He was very patient and explained things to me thoroughly. He wouldnt sell me a part knowing there is an underlying cause that would have me come back in a month or two for the same problem like some other shop would. I cant say im anxious to go back, because having a car repaired is never a fun experience, but when the day comes there is no doubt in my mind where to bring it.

Had electrical problems with my Ford that other shops could not fix. He was very professional. John was able to diagnose and solve the problems I had in a very timely manner. He explained what was wrong with my car, gave me a solution, and a very fair and accurate estimate. I will definitely bring my car and will refer my friends to him in the future.

On first visit, John, the lead mechanic seemed friendly and although overly confident and somewhat overbearing i trusted his judgement in repairing my car. HUGE mistake, upon picking up the car he stated it would cost more then he anticipated, He stated that he ran into addtional issue with the car and more parts and labor was needed, He hit me up for hundreds more then he had originally quoted, I asked why he did not contact me before proceeding and he became defensive and aggressive. I was shocked and should have listened to others who i asked about him previously and stated that he draws you in first with reasonable prices and states the problem is no big deal . Once he gains your trust he slams you with an enormus bill and states that the vehicle had underlying issues that went unseen until he started the work. I had just replaced my brake pads 2 weeks prior to bringing my vehicle in upon picking up my car he said he put new ones on. When i told him i just had them done, He ignored me and handed me a very inflated bill . Upon driving home the car was not handable, swaying from side to side and unable to steer. I called him and he said he had it sent out to another shop and he didnt test drive upon return. I did not bring car in for brake issue.Charged me near 1,000 dollars and had to have his repair done over in another shop weeks later. Something loose in this guys head.. Charged my friend over 400 dollars ..Her car was brought in for brake pads. said she needed special brake lines that had to be ordered for a toyota....when she picked up the car he said he replaced the lines the pads and another part at a cost of 400 plus and told her she still needed rotors or the pads would wear down quickly. most expensive brake job ever.. On the initial look of the brakes he stated it was just pads that needed replacing.. what a rip off and con artist . He will get right up in your face and make you feel very leery of questioning him about anything upon picking up your car. Stay away from this shop. They will only do you a disservice.
