I moved here from out of state and didn’t know any mechanics. I found Cory’s and have been so happy with all the work done on my car. He helped me take great care of my 21 year old car and has helped me with my new car too!! Cory is kind, fair, and honest. He answered all of my questions and didn’t make me feel dumb. When I needed work done outside his area of expertise, he referred me to another great local mechanic. I HIGHLY recommend taking your car to Cory’s.

Great service! Super friendly and affordable. Very direct and honest about options. Got my timing belt, water pump and radiator service done and they let me know that I should also service other items since theyre in there. It runs great and is super quiet! I love it! Extreme lack of professionalism and car knowledge, I sent my vehicle in there to have a simple distributor cap put on. In the end the mechanic over tightened and destroyed my distributor. So instead of fixing it they told me to drive it home with it broken. I barely made it home ended up having to get a rental car. they told me that they would fix it, and considering I already paid $300 I thought Id give him another opportunity to make it right. After bringing it back they decided to charge me another $200 for a distributor they broke. Now Im into a distributor cap for $500 because the original distributor cap job was $300 and 200 for a new distributor as well as 200 for a rental car. A month and a half later my vehicle breaks down. Knowing Im not going to take it back to this shop because its obviously they have no clue what theyre doing. I take it to CG Autowerks! Clint at CG Autowerks is the best mechanic in Vancouver. He informed me that the distributor and distributor cap that was used was a Chinese mass produced unit and actually only cost 125.00 for both cap and distributor. So why was I charged 500 at Coreys? They only had the vehicle for 2 hours total! Clint ordered me a genuine GM distributor and distributor cap and the vehicle has been fine ever since and that was 6 months ago. So if youre reading this review dont bother, go straight to CG Autowerks and get it done right the first time. CG Autowerks will only charge you for the work done not for stuff they broke! CG Autowerks reviews speak for themselves.

Came in right before close thinking i just needed some excess oil drained out and they immediately saw my belt was about to fly off. fixed it by the next morning for a great price and everyone was super friendly and flexible!

Cory is awesome!Corys (former) mechanic screwed up badly when he worked on my PT Cruiser and it left Corys shop in extremely unsafe condition as a result.I was very angry to begin with and Im still very angry at the mechanic who worked on my car for his negligence and incompetence, but Cory made it right.The mechanic who let me drive away in a car that could have completely lost steering at any moment without warning, no longer has a job at Corys Car Care and Cory also refunded all the money paid for those particular parts and the labor as well as told my son that he will still uphold the warranty on all the parts and labor so if anything goes wrong I can still take it back and Cory himself will fix it. On top of all that Cory gave us a deeply sincere and heartfelt apology, so everything that went wrong Cory made right in my opinion.So although my first experience obviously wasnt the best, Cory made it right in every way possible and as a result I will strongly recommend Corys Car Care to others and I personally will also feel safe taking my own car back to Corys Car Care in the future...now that I know the mechanic that screwed up my car doesnt work there any longer. 🙂 Thank you Cory!

I cant say enough good things about Corys. Great price, very honest, welcoming, just great all around. If somethings not quite right with work they did, dont hesitate calling them. Even with warrantee work they are very welcoming. They make things right, quickly. They are good enough that I passed out their business cards to my family. Do yourself a favor and use this garage.

The engine light came on in my car and I got the code P0420. I brought it to this place after finding a few positive comments on Reddit, and looking up reviews on Yelp and Google.Cory explained what was wrong with my car very clearly, and brought out an example part. This was appreciated as I am not well versed in cars. I never had that level of explaining at my old preferred mechanic in Oregon City. He showed me the cost of buying a part locally vs. online and gave timelines with each scenario.They replaced the catalytic converter in my car. Also, the O2 sensors which werent included in the initial cost that he gave me. He ended up cutting the cost of the part in half for me after the mistake.Overall, I am very happy with my experience and plan to take my car back here in the future and recommend other people to do so.

Friendly shop. The do good work a competitive prices. 3rd or 4th time theyve worked on my cars. 1 time they had to scower the country to find a small part for a old BMWBrake Booster. Definately recommend .

I had to get a wheel bearing replaced... Called and made an appointment... I babied my car there... When I got there the lady at the front was super nice and friendly. She got my car checked in and we made friendly conversation. They had a sweet dog in the lobby named chloe... (Who doesnt like that). Then they got the car back and Cory came and told me that indeed its the wheel bearing... Ok cool... Lol once I got home a bit later Cory called me and let me know that my breaks were basically non existent. Ugh... They were bad. And then cv axle or something like that also needed replacement... Cory was very nice and professional and didnt price gouge me. I got quality work to my car and met some cool people in the process. I will be going back if I need more repairs... They are real people not the kind that blow smoke up your bum .. I like that and appreciate that a lot. Thanks Corys car care. 👍

Went here sometime last year to get my brake pads replaced when their quote to get them done was less than half of what Id been quoted by multiple other places in town. I ended up needing to have a bolt bored out because the previous owner had used so much loctite, no one could get it out lol. In the end they only asked me to pay the originally quoted amount plus the price of the bolt, no extra charge for boring out the old bolt. All in all a very stand up bunch of people that dont try to sell you anything you dont really need. I recommend this place to anyone that wants to support a local business that is honest with you throughout the whole process.

My whole family takes our cars to Cory. He will never cheat you on prices. Im a young female and have often been quoted higher prices at other places, unless I bring a man in with me. I never have to worry about that with Corys, he also explains what needs to be done and why. I always recommend them to anybody looking for a reliable mechanic. I have taken my vehicle here a couple of times and the staff are very knowledgeable about vehicles. They take their time explaining things to you and are very friendly. Very affordable with fast service. They have done great work on my car as well so this is where I will be taking my car from now on!

Very honest mechanics. Good prices for their hourly wage compared to many of the other shops. They wont lie to get more work out of you and if they can fix it quickly (5 minutes give or take) they dont bother charging you. They would rather do good business than suck every last cent out of you possible. One of the few places in Vancouver that actually cares.

I needed front bearings, front pads and front rotors. I called a few of the well-known, award-winning auto mechanic shops in the area to get quotes. One award-winning place quoted me $2150 (before tax) for the job. What award did they win? Highest prices ever? Best highway robbers? I have no idea.I then called Corys car care (a co-worker referred me to them) and their quote? $641 including tax. Needless to say, I went with Corys. Now, Corys shop is not as fancy as, say, the dealership or some of the award-winning shops in the area. And they dont advertise (they dont need to; they get all the business they need from referrals).Corys shop did everything I asked. They worked quickly. They charged $39 for a synthetic oil change (2007 Ford Explorer). This same oil change at the award-winning shop was well over $70. They showed me the damaged rotor that they replaced. Now my truck is running perfectly. The sound from the damaged rotor is gone. The sound from the left front bearing is gone. Everything is perfect and Im not broke.I know EXACTLY where Im going for my automotive repair needs from now on. Thanks Cory!

Always willing too look at your vehicle and give a price quote. I love they way they treat everyone who walks through their door. Honest hard working folks who arent out to rip you off. He treats everyone with respect and will give you an honest price and does honest work. Being a woman I am always cautions of mechanics, because some will try to charge us more, not Corey. He gives you a price just like he would his mom or sister. I have never felt like I was over charge when taking my vehicle there. My daughter loves him as well as he treats well.

Took my recently purchased 2008 Mustang to Corys Car Care to have them look over the car and service a couple of systems. Nice people, reasonably priced and from all appearances quality work. It was all good until it wasnt!! Got the car home and while washing it later that day, I found a small dent in the drivers door. Took the car in this morning to have them take a look at it. What they did was have me watch a video from their security system. The camera is positioned in the front of the car bay with a top down view. They opened the drivers door 3 times. During one of those times the door contacted something and the door stopped moving. You cannot tell from the camera angle what stopped the door. Not only would Corys Car Care not take ownership of this damage. The son shared a story of how some other customer tried to say they damaged their car and how luckily he had video showing the damage was already there. Sensing a pattern!? I felt like he told me that story because he thought I was trying to do the same thing. Using a poor camera angle to identify an issue that occurred on the side of the car is not clear proof. What it gave Corys was the option to say there was no definitive proof (no smoking gun) that they caused the damage. But, as far as Im concerned, it also proves just the opposite, there is no definitive proof that they did not. Something hit the door and it stopped! Walks like a duck, sounds like a duck....you know the rest. Thought I found a reputable place to take my car for servicing. Even told them I would refer them to my friends and family. Of course, I wont be doing that now! Any legitimate business owner would have treated me with more dignity and not some con-artist trying to rip him off. They made no offer to help rectify this situation. So now what was a great looking Mustang that is/was in magnificent shape (the owner even said so) is damaged and Im left paying for the damage. Corys Car Care is housed in a very small building and they have 3 lifts. There is very little room to work on the cars in their shop. And upon reflection it should be no surprise that my car ended up being damaged because of the limited space in their shop. My advice, videotape your vehicle so you have evidence of any damage they might cause, because they will more than likely blame you!!

I want say exceptional. Corys Car Care is awesome. I havent had many dealings with mechanics, but what I have heard from people over there years, is how mechanics, like car dealers, are shady! Not this place.Not only did Cory take the time to educate me on the vehicle that I had purchased and brought to him to do a tune up, but he also took the time to walk me through the vehicle and help me to formulate a plan for dealing with any problems that were present from previous owner.Affordable is also awesome. I was quoted pretty close to 200 cheaper than leading mechanics in Vancouver.I will take my vehicle to them in the future for sure. You guys (and gals, for I am pretty sure this is a family run business) have three vehicles and anyone I can share with who need a mechanic!

This shop is top notch they do great work efficiently. They also are incredibly well priced for the quality of parts and labor they provide. Corys team even saved me money by letting me know my PCV valve was fine and did not need replacing thus saving me about $80 on my total repair bill!!!

I come here to get maintenance of my car every so often. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Work gets done quickly, and you can view what the mechanics are doing through the waiting room, for those who are wearing their tinfoil hats. I would definitely recommend this shop.

Good mechanics

Id rather have Cory work on my Volvo than any of the import mechanics. Hes honest about what needs done and always does his best to give me the best price. He is honest about the jobs my husband could do to save us money and were encouraged to call him up if we get stuck doing a home repair. And hes nice to my kid...any mom can appreciate that. Support this business and escape the jerks yanking you around if they think they can score an extra $100+ by scaring you into an unnecessary repair.

Great ma/pop shop. Very friendly and honest people. Ive brought my car here at least 10x since buying it four years ago. They have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. I have never and will never bring my car to any other mechanic. Im planning on getting a new car soon, and like the beater I have now, Corys will be the only hands to work on it. They have my full trust and business!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CORYS CAR CARE ESPECIALLY IF YOU OWN A VW.  Recently, I needed a mechanic ASAP.  Cory said they could fix the issue with my car, however they fixed the wrong issue; in fact, it was something which did not need to be fixed at all.  He admitted he did not truly know what the actual issue was, so they took a shot in the dark; their meaningless services cost me $395 while it cost me $420 to get the actual issue fixed by a true VW mechanic.Once I addressed this with Cory, he refused to reasonably listen to me and gave the impression I was attempting to scam him.  If I had paid with my credit card, I would have contacted the credit card company and informed them of Corys fraudulent behavior.  Avoid Corys Car Care at all costs.

Out of every mechanic and mechanic shop I’ve ever dealt with, Corey’s is BY FAR the best I’ve ever been too. Not only did the gentleman take his time with explaining what was wrong with my vehicle, he broke down the costs as well. Explaining what he would need, and what it was for. Today was the second time I’ve received service at Corey’s, and they were able to accommodate me with picking up my vehicle as I’ve got a wacky schedule. I called around to get my vehicle serviced (regular maintenance) and was quoted $230-$350 to get the transmission fluid changed as well as the filter. When I called Corey’s they priced the service $100 cheaper than the cheapest quote I had received from other shops. Not only is this quality work that’s been done, but it’s affordable and you aren’t getting charged for ridiculous unnecessary things.I’ve had great experiences and will be going to Corey’s for all of my vehicle maintenance from this point on.

Update:I came in because my car was leaking oil. I guess they forgot to put a seal in. Either way, they fixed it and also fixed another small leak free of charge. They were really kind and it completely made up for my previously bad experience. I would recommend coming here!*****I really wanted to put a great review. I was recommended to this shop by several for a timing belt and water replacement. The owner, Corey, is an awesome and honest guy. I dont think it was him who worked on my car. Either way, I had my timing belt and water pump replaced. Shorty after picking it up, my ac belt started to squeal and was no longer blowing cold air. Not only that, but my radiator had a crack that it had not had before. I returned to have my ac checked out and was told that it would have to be recharged. I was fine with that, except then one of the employees rudely told me that there was no issue with the ac belt. He treated me like I was an idiot before he even turned on the ac and heard the loud squeal. Then I witnessed the same employee roughly sit down right on my cracked radiator, enough to push my car back. Im not saying that the replacement of my timing belt and water pump led to the crack, but him sitting on it didnt really help soothe my worries. I really really wanted to like this shop and thought Corey was awesome, but his employee not so much :(

Thanks Corys car care! I went in for a small sound that wasnt constant to hear to be checked. Cory spent 30 minutes with me looking at the engine, listening. He even crawled under the truck and got some thing that looked like a doctors steliscop to listen to the engine. Very thorough! Then he said he didnt think it was something to be concerned about, to be safe you may want to do an oil change and change your spark plugs if its been a while. He was right, I was do for an oil change and I hadnt changed the spark plugs since I bought it, almost 3 years ago. I asked if they could do it for me that same day, and they did! And they saved me a second trip and labor cost by fixing a gasket leak at the same time! Thanks Corys Car care for taking care of my truck and not making me feel taken advantage of because Im a woman!!!

Amazing mechanics 100% honest 2 times Cory was able to get me in on very short notice and did amazing work to my G35. Cory and his technicians quickly diagnosed and fixed the suspension and steering issues. Would definitely recommend him to anybody looking for an all around amazing shop.

Found this guy Corys a few years ago when I just wanted to get a good price on an oil change and took a gamble groupon. He did more than a good job on that and tuning up the vehicle, basically giving me the skinny on where everything is at without trying to up-sale me all kinds of crap like a Jiffy Lube. Since then he has been my mechanic and just has done such a good job, researches parts very thoroughly to give the best prices and very honest,. I live in Portland, so his new shop is a bit of a drive for me, but wouldnt take my vehicles to anyone else.

Referrals mean people are very happy with their experience with a certain business. I am referring all who read this to Corys Car Care. My 1993 Toyota Corolla had a problem with some of the electronics under the hood and being 24 years old there is little means available for testing and repairing this car. As the 4th day arrived I was unsure about labor costs since I thought the fix was all by trial and error. In Corys case, though, you can add the fact that he is very experienced and very dogged. He called me last night, said the car is repaired and ready for pickup. Today when I came for my car I realized I never should have worried about labor costs; his bill was a fraction of what I expected. When I questioned him about that he insisted that since I was so inconvenienced by having to wait so long he was sticking by his invoice. The car drives perfectly well, my cost was far less than the competition and I am a customer for life. If I could, I would rate Corys Car Care 10 stars! VIRGIL ENGLISH

I found out about them through a Groupon deal and they were so helpful and nice and made sure everything was okay with my car (at the time I was driving a 1998 Nissan Altima).I got on a lease in 2016 and I still go to them for all my car needs.
