I was here for a birthday party food was okay but had fun.

OMG!!!! Sooo good!Ordered for pick up through DoorDash got 15% discount.Was waiting for me when I got there.Made my tummy sooo happy.Rice was not what I was used to.But the butter chicken and masala. . I died!!! Was delicious.Will come back. I do think they r only doing pick up orders.There is a huge banquet hall. For events.I will be doing a birthday here when covid is don’t being what it is.I would recommend.And I did get an irony chuckle because it’s next to a couple military recruiters. Hee

Always a solid place for delicious food and friendly service. I tried ordering a large pick up order yesterday for pick up today. I arrived in time for my order only to find out that first, the clerk couldnt find my order and once he found it, mentioned that he had forgotten to submit the order to the kitchen - seriously!?! Im now having to wait. 20-30 minutes for my order. Come on guys... I live 35 minutes away!!!

Travelled 20 miles to dine-in as It was showing dine-in open on google but it was only take-out. They should update the same on google to eliminate waste of time.

Good customer service & clean ambience. They have shared space with the Banquet Hall next door. Tried their Papdi chat, Onion Bhaji, Aloo paratha, Shrimp curry & Tandoori Roti. Apart from Onion Bhaji, everything was great.

Too salty! Don’t get the lunch special!

This was my first time to Swad after seeing the rating on Google which is 4.4 stars. I had weekend lunch buffet ($14 with taxes) and honestly, I didnt at all feel like it was great food except chicken tikka masala which had soft chicken pieces.Considering that lunch buffets are usually the marketing geek I was expecting a much better taste in food although there was a good variety. The paneer tikka masala was very tangy and palak paneer and veg pulao just had no flavor! Gulab Jamun in dessert were very dry from inside and gajar halwa had a weird bitter taste. I am hoping not to fall sick after eating that! I even gave my feedback to one of the servers there and he said yes the taste may fluctuate from time to time. I think customers come back for consistent taste!Just a side note, they do have 2 banquet halls which are pretty decent in size and ambience but whats the point of having a function there when the food is not up to the mark! It would be great if they can do something about it.

Fast and prompt service, food was served fresh and hot. If you ask for spicy hot your gonna get 🔥 spicy. So for those who arent used to spicy food I would suggest you order mild spice. The Indian style ice cream was delicious.

First time to this place we had their weekend lunchtime buffet - dont normally do the buffet thing but this was actually really good. They will also feed you mimosas along with your lunch, cant beat that as it is included in the price. Second visit was an early evening dinner - really good, food was delish. Staff are friendly and service is quick - you wont be disappointed. Coming from the UK we are very picky about our Indian food but go and enjoy :)

Enjoyed a truly delicious dinner at the Swad of India. I’ve eaten there several times for lunch buffet which was very good and a nice selection. The prepared dinner was outstanding, thick sauces, tender meat and rich spices and taste. The service was very excellent and personnel are always welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to my next visit! Actually I did not visited the restaurant. I was visiting on the area and it was one of the options available on UberEats. Everything was delicious, but the Papadam were definitely the best I have ever tried. If I ever come back to that area, I will make sure to eat there.

Worst food. They forgot to put salt in the food. The most basic ingredient. Imagine eating this food while you are traveling for 6 hours and you want something to satiate your hunger. Totally unsatisfactory!

Worst food and service i have ever seen

Usually I do not criticize or appreciate the cooked food.Our life is depended on food mainly.I had my daughter married in April and had chance to book Swad Of India for a function, evening snacks and dinner. We had a party of about 200 guests.The service we got from the staff of Swad Of India was so great, I could not help to stop me from writing . Every guest was so happy for the service we got and I can not mention about the food, how delicious it was. With the variety of food we were served, every one enjoyed the food to their taste . Thanks to every one at Swad Of India. Great service.

My cousin just recently had a wedding there. It was the best. The staff was friendly and great. The owners were there every step of the way. Unfortunately the wedding planner they hired didnt pan out and we had a fallout but Swad Of India helped pick up the pieces. So grateful to them. Thank you

Having tried many Indian restaurants in the area, this one certainly gets the crown.There is a wide selection of dishes for all tastes at a reasonable price for the quality. I would strongly recommend the vegetarian entrees, even to committed carnivores. There is every range of traditional classics too all done extremely well.The service was prompt, extremely welcoming and friendly. Although I didnt order from the bar, it was very well stocked with quality beers and liquors.Even if you dont like Indian food, I strongly recommend checking out this place.

We had never had India food, it was delicious and the young man who helped us was patient and kind. The food was sweet with a hint of chili which balance wonderfully. The homemade cheese in the fritters was exceptional the sauces that came with it were flavorful another appetizer we chose a potato with peas in a delicious sauce.

I stopped in at 255pm on 8/12/20 they were kind enough to allow me to order since they closed at 3pm per the host. I ordered Samosa x2, chicken tikki marsala, Naan, and rice. I dont know if they were rushing but the rice was hard still and 80% of the chicken was RAW! I ate 2 pieces and realized and instantly vomited. I wasted basically 40 dollars. They havent called me back for resolution.

Excellent food. A little pricey but the food is absolutely fabulous. Make sure you try the garlic flatbread it is made to order and is to die forPlace could use a good clean up. Doesnt smell that great in there I hope its just the crazy spices in the food. Three stars for cleanliness or lack thereof

Healthy Indian best culinary cuisine

If you are looking for BOMB Indian food and good people to serve you, this is the place. Got sick from the other Upland Indian food place up on Foothill one night and we kinda gave up on Indian food for a bit. One night we said hey, lets try that place off the freeway. Popped in and got blessed for the decision, great food and service. We even got to experience an Indian wedding that was going on in the ballroom behind us while we waited for our takeout. It was a beautiful occasion. Nice people, with a HUGE vegetarian menu. Recommended across the board. We heart Swad.

Last time I was there I saw something that made me never ever go there.again At a clean and sanitary facility that should never happen. I wonder what goes in the kitchen.

Swad is actually a pretty good restaurant. The lunch buffet features many vegetarian and non-vegetarian items and the naan (bread) is included in the buffet as well as coca-cola. The rice might be a bit problematic since it seems that the rice may be undercooked. The atmosphere of the restaurant is quite good since the lighting is nice and good music is there.

Wasn’t impressed. Food was decent. Service was simply odd. My salad with mango in it (per menu) contained no mango, with no notification. The WHOLE tandoori chicken came out with 3 thighs and 4 legs....odd anatomy for a chicken. I would of enjoyed the breast meat I assumed would be part of the WHOLE chicken. Asked to purchase additional vegetables, was told that couldn’t happen....really? I have money, you have vegetables....let’s make this happen!

Food was good !

Very tasty! We did Sunday lunch it was so good lots of variety and their mango lasi was delicious! Not too spicy which was surprising. I was expecting to die. Everything was so good and well worth the price.

Indian food is seriously underrated in SoCal. When done well, its amazing! Swad of India is that well done, amazing Indian restaurant. This was our second time eating there and both times the food was excellent.Well definitely be back.

Their daily buffet at less than 12 dollars, for all you can eat has always been very tasty providing that one likes the wonderful spicy Indian cooking. Service is very good and the waiters always very accomodating. Wine prices very reasonable. Half the price for a glass of Chardonnay or Merlot or Cabernet that one would expect. Highly recommended.

Try today for the first time. Planning to go back for the buffet. Good customer service and the chicken Tikka masala was great!

Nice big dining room with very large round tables, but banquet food was very spicy. Their parmesan chicken was not Italian tasting at all and very dry. Fettucini Alfredo was delicious. All Indian cuisine. Great yellow lentil soup! We found it strange that they didnt provide knives for cutting our food. We only had forks and soup spoons. Chairs not comfy. Still good for a wedding or other large dinner conference. Dining hall has a large stage with podium. They were very accommodating otherwise.

Went for the buffet. The nan bread is amazingly good and all the different curries were great too. The waiters were very attentive to our needs. Highly recommended if you like curries.

I like to order to go from here when I am craving indian food. The food is pretty good (love the chilli garlic naan), but rice is not included for any of the dishes which makes it over priced for what it is. The quality is not there for a few pieces of chicken with rice totalling 19$.

Weve only been once and enjoyed it a lot. I think it will take more visits to truly have a sense of how good the menu is, but our first try was very good. Well be back.

Descent Indian food. Service is always great. I feel they sacrifice flavor for spicy food. It’s almost to a point, where it’s so spicy, that all taste is Garam Masala, and turmeric.

In the IE is limited so we decided to give Swad of Indias Vegan options a try.We got Okra Masala * good thing I asked for last oIl cause its still oily and a little too much salt for my taste.Mushroom Kadai is basically chicken masala but with healthier (no ammonia nor injected sodium solution which are mandatory for FDA ) more protein and no one died ahha YUM!!I appreciate the service. I hope the grill was separated but I didnt ask .. Have to ask next time!At least it taste good !!

Ordered from Uber Eats. The food we got was good but it took forever to get here and they forgot to give us rice so basically got a couple of pieces of chicken and some cheese, definitely not a meal.

Many Indian restaurants are closed on Mondays. Swad is open sho wer went out id way to come here and were glad we did. We enjoyed the food and selectionof authentic Indian food. Flavorful and yummy.

Food is absolutely amazing! Have never found an Indian buffet before where they give complementary mango lassi! So they already won 5 stars from me by doing that. But that’s not the only attraction they also have a wide range of selection on both vegetation and non vegetarian dishes in their buffet menu which are very hard to find. 3rd plus is, food seemed fresh. They were also quick in providing the naan bread which some places take a long time to bring in after you are seated or start your meal. Lastly the flavor of the food was good, spices were one medium to low side but even a person like me who likes it very hot, enjoyed it!

Looking to have a taste of Indian food. You are at a right place.And if you are looking to enjoy party, the place is not short of space.And the service is of a class.Will I recommend this place ? oh yes.Cooking reminds me of my Mother.Great food. love it.

We enjoyed the food, but the food was pricier than expected because everything comes separately. We had to pay separately for regular rice and bread. However, it does offer a nice atmosphere.

This place is great! Better atmosphere than other Indian restaurants in the area and the mild Curry’s are not crazy spicy like other places. I highly recommend the Malai Kofta!!! You can’t go wrong with this!

The food was so good, I ordered chicken vindaloo extra extra spicy with the mango lassi, paneer kulcha and the other neeman naan with chicken and my gf ordered the salad with chicken and everything was great, service was top notch, I never finished a glass of water more than halfway before one of the two gentleman serving would come over and refill the glasses and that is super important to me as there have been plenty of times I have eaten out at other places and had my glass empty most of the meal with no refills but this place knows what good service is. I will be coming back often as the options for naan are great, you have about 10+ types to choose from and the two I ordered were better than any naan I have ever had and Ive eaten Indian food on the regular since I was a kid so, I have tried probably 50 diff places naan and Swad had the best. I am excited for their champagne brunch buffet I have yet to try.

Did not feel like the curry was thick or flavorful enough. I base my rating off of being taken around by a few of my Indian and Pakistani friends to try proper Curries and then trying home cooked meals with their families.

The food was okay. It came with extras! I had a metal screw I bit into while eating one of the main dishes and a rock I had to spit out from the Indian sweets. Not the buffet I was hoping for. The staff and owners didnt even apologize. Definitely not going back!

Tiki Masala is one of the best I ver had. Garlic chili Naan was warm and flaky yet soft in the middle. Great service and I used the 20 dollar off groupon and will definitely be back grupon or not. Dinner for two with extra rice and a side dish with a Mango Lasse for $20 after the groupon. Would have paid full price food was so good and portions were ample.

Samosas with tamarind sauce are excellent!Paneer tikka masala is amazing!Mango lassi is really good.Can be loud if theres an event next door.

Nice indian restaurant with banquet space.

If you dont mind tumeric smell in their restaurant this place is nice. The banquet hall is big, modern with a bar and greeting room with big restrooms and doesnt have the tumeric smell. I would recommend the fritter fish, it reminded me of London with a Indian twist. Next time Ill be back to try the lunch buffet. Friendly staff. They close between lunch and dinner

Opens too late

We reserved the hall for a wedding party and wanted to use the card for a payment but The bald person Who’s In charge said he will only take cash.!! I wonder why.!? It was about $3000! Who pays $3000 in cash now a day.! Only if they wanna evade paying tax..!And because we were squeezed with time we had to go with it. And we asked to try the food they’re going to serve. So the brought us few plates as samples to try, after we tried the food we were shocked when we were asked to pay for the samples!!! We just paid you $3000 in cash for god sake.!!The day of the wedding we went early in the morning to prepare the tables and all, to find out that they rented out the hall to other people on our wedding day.!!! Wow, when confronted the guy he said that it’s just a small party and they will be done by 2pm..!! We couldn’t believe it.. we had to wait till after noon for those people to leave. That hall was a disaster after that “small party” we had to clean their mess and prepare our tables it was total mess the hall smelled so weird. The equipments they promised to provide us barley work, we had to go buy our own. 2 tables missing from the numbers of tables we requested... I can’t say enough about this terrible, unprofessional, horrible place. The worst experience of our life. We regret doing business with these guys so much.Avoid at all costs and go somewhere else.

Food was good, however very small portions and no complimentary naan with meal. Every other Indian restaurant Ive been to always served naan automatically with the meal.

It was lunchtime on a Saturday and we elected to serve ourselves from the ample buffet selections - everything was delicious - somethings more than others. Best goat curry anywhere in this area. Great garlic nan and chutneys. Only real disappointment was with the chana masala. Sauce was watery which was unexpected given how fantastic all other sauces were. Of course chana is always better as chana batura but on a buffet that would be hard to achieve, Very pleasant service and it seemed like a number of regulars over the lunchtime.

The Actually Authentic Test I have ever Tested in USA... I am Indian. So I know what is real Indian food.. And This place is 100% Authentic. I would not mind driving 30miles to just eat tasty food.
