I had the best experience ever so far in getting done by Gel Manicure. Tia is really good with this art. She has done my nails twice to perfection, I would recommend her to everyone for shellac manicure. The place is overall, is really nice, clean and welcoming.

I always get my nails done here, i personally love katy. she is such a great conversationalist, she puts a lot of work into nails. she does it with a passion. i will for sure be coming back because of her.

Great job on the nails. However, regardless if you make an appointment or not you could still wait 30 minutes past your appt. time. They dont take into consideration the staff they have.

Trash work. Some of my nails arent fully covered and the top coat was not applied well.tools were not sterile. the woman was too fast and did a terrible job. She almost burned me with hot water. It was so hot I could see the steam. Sold me on a deluxe only to poorly executed it. Dont let them sel you on the little packets.. she punched a hole somehow in the liner and the entire foot basin filled with water. NOT IN THE LINERS THEY PUT AROUND IT. Rubbed off the lotion with a hot towel, used some wack hot stones to rub in the lotion.. ugh it was my first time. will never return

Lots of hidden fees. No warning of extra fees. The design i wanted they said they couldnt do. Was charged for soak offs when they didnt soak anything off. It was drilled off. Charged for 5 nail repairs they only repaired 4. My niece couldve painted my nails better. Way over priced. Denied any refund at all. Had to go get my naila redone the next day. I will not be back. Worst experience of my life.

WAY overpriced. I was totally ripped off. There was nothing special about their manicure and pedicure services. Their attempt of nail art was a joke. Save your money and find somewhere else! I will never go back.

The girl was very disinterested in my pedicure. She left several times to check her phone. I barely got a massage. What is the deal with that? It’s a pedicure. I felt very NOT SPECIAL.

I’ve been going here since having bad service at another shop in Rochester. John always does a spectacular job. I get tons of compliments!

One of the workers brought her crying baby to work and wasnt even nearby to take care of her. We had appointments yet one of us, me, got completely ignored. My mom was done before I even got started on and she had to wait. The worker did not say sorry about the wait or actually anything... Next time we are going to try the place across the street.

Great local place, do a great job on any type of nail service and in a reasonable amount of time. Little more expensive, but I dont mind. My time and quality work is more important to me. Call first to see what the wait time is if you are on a schedule.

I got acrylic nails with a gel overlay. I didn’t have to wait very long but as I was getting the white tips glued on the manicurist almost glued her hand to mine. While she was filing my nails I don’t know what happened but they are very uneven and misshapen. The gel overlay they highly suggested and said it would make it look so great turned them yellow. I won’t be going back.

The owner is extremely kind and he does an amazing job with acrylics. However the second time I came in, I stood at the door for 15 minutes when someone finally walked by. A woman told me to sit in the acrylics chair and then another woman hysterically came over to me and told me that there was someone before me. It just seemed on organized. They could really use a front desk person that just stays there.

This was my first time going and it was awesome. I recieved my first ever pedicure, Julie did a great job. Sai is great as well. Definately recommend.

I been going here to do shellac twice a month since it opened a couple years back. Prices are fair.. However, Seems like a couple months ago it was sold and being managed by a new team. They are always pretty quick .. But last three times .. Either they are rushing though getting done or the technique is not good because my shellac are peeling within 2-4 days . I really use to love this place ... sorry to say I will have to find a new place.

I went and had the dip done on my nails. I’ve had the dip (pre-Covid) for over a year! I know how long it should last, and how to take care of my nails. I went in on a Monday and by Friday 3 nails were cracking. I went in and “Peter” re-did the 3 nails. I was upset that I had to take time out of my day, however he fixed them at no charge and I was satisfied. However, the. Ext day on Saturday one of my nails that he didn’t do, chipped, and by Sunday two more cracked! One that he re-did and another one that he didn’t. So disappointed!! I paid $45 for the dip and tipped him $15! Even after I had to drive to my bank and back because their payment system and atm was down. For $45 the nails should last at least 2 weeks! Minimum!!! I will not return.

They used kid scissors to cut my nails and made them extremely short when that was not the length i asked for at all.

Great nail salon. Julie does a great job on my nails shaping them perfectly so that my mani lasts for 3 weeks. All of the nail techs are good. Nice relaxing and open atmosphere. And, they have a nice selection of gel polish.

Vui did a great job!! Very pleased with the service i received. I got pedicure and manicure done and i must say she took her time to make sure its perfect. My friend started with me but she finished way before and didnt receive the full service.

So I guess we can start with the positives: the pace is clean and looks pretty when you walk in. But thats it. Its all downhill from there. Every time Ive been, Ive had to wait (with an appointment) and the staff is never apologetic about it, they usually just dont care. And good luck trying to do a walk-in.... they usually just ignore you. I havent been here in a long time (I much better prefer La Vie Nails across the street but they arent open Sundays and this was a mini emergency). I went in not too long ago, waited forever and the $50 dip manicure lasted 5 days before the first finger chipped. They all started to chip after and by a week in, they were all pretty bad. I cant believe they charge so much and the quality of their dip is so awful!! I will not be going back.... emergency or not.

I’ve been getting my nails done with Olivia for over a year. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and (if you make an appointment), you hardly ever have to wait. Olivia takes such good care of my nails and our relationship has gotten to the point of her picking out colors for me. I love and trust her opinion because she knows how to make my hands beautiful for every outfit and occasion. I always get compliments. I’m so glad I found this nail salon and will never go anywhere else due to the amazing service I (as well as my Mom) receive!

Ive gotten my nails done here a few times now and each time I received exactly what i asked for. John and Sai are both really great. I recommend this place to anyone in the Troy area who wants to get their nails done after work. In and out with superb service.

I got a pedicure at this salon about a month ago and won’t be going back. The technician cut the side of my foot when she was removing dry skin. It has taken a long time to heal and 5 weeks later, I still have to wear a bandage sometimes when I wear certain shoes. I had to see a doctor and get an antibiotic ointment for the wound. I reported it to the manager about a week later and he didn’t seem very concerned.

Love this place! They are always so professional and clean. Amazed at how long my manicure lasts when it is done here. By far, of the many places I have been to over the years, these nail techs are the very best!

I normally go to their sister salon. This one is just as nice and its set up is refreshingly different. It appears to be bigger and just as impressive as there Troy location! I think for sake of an easier drive ill cone here front now on!!

Came in and waited for 30 minutes, finally got told to go back to a table, on my way they sat a different woman at the table I was told to go to. Then they took the two women that came after me before me (also walk-ins) and proceeded to be ignored so my fiancé told me to leave since they wanted to be like that. What a waste of time.

Paid over $120 for services and nails only lasted for one week. Poor quality nails... Don’t recommend

The only reason they are getting two stars is because they took care of my daughter. However, we BOTH had appointments and I was completely ignored. It appeared as if walk-ins were taken before me, even though I had a scheduled appointment. Even after the owner? / manager? asked if I had been helped, and I told him that I had an appointment over 30 minutes ago, nobody came back to let me know what was happening or when I would be taken care of.There are far too many good salons out there to bother trying again. We wont be back.

Does not even deserve one star. Highly disappointed with the service. The manicurist was disinterested in what he was doing. Pedicure lasted for 20 mins!! He did not even clean my cuticles, dead skin. The massage for 10 seconds!! Same with manicure. All he did was apply nail polish. If I needed a polish change I would have asked for it. They charged me $57 under the name of pedicure & manicure and all they did was change my polish. And he shortened my toe nails even when I told him not to do that! Also they have a package deal of manicure + pedicure but while charging me they said they cant give me the package and charged me separately!! Maybe the other manicurists are good there but mine was bad.

The best place to come for mani & pedi! Every nail tech here is amazing. I especially recommend Leon hes great takes his time he doesnt rush even if theyre busy & hes a perfectionist . I have never been so satisfied and will never go anywhere else!

Bad appointment keeping. Been coming here for awhile but lately they have been overbooking. They seem to take advantage of how understanding their regulars are when appointments are overlooked. Made an appointment for 10am. Was left with feet soaking for 45 mins no apologies were given and the man who works there doesn’t care and doesn’t take appointments down as he should. Will not be going there again.

I discovered New Day Nails a few years ago and have never gone anywhere else since. Both locations are outstanding, but the Rochester location is closer to my home so that’s where I usually go. The owners have a great business with exceptional employees. Olivia is who I see for my services, because she is meticulous in her work. I appreciate the extra care she gives my nails. Rana and Sucdary are also great. Overrall a beautiful salon with a welcoming and clean environment.

I personally wont be going back here. I called and asked about the cost of a fill for acrylic nails, and was told $17. I made an appointment and showed up. The man who greeted me (older, wears glasses) wasnt very friendly and told me to come over to his station. He asked me if I was the one who called, and I said yes. He said it wont be $17 as my nails are long. So I asked how much it was an he ignored my question. He almost used the acrylic (which is what I requested), but then decided to get out the pink (gel maybe?) instead (I did come in with ombre nails but did not want pink anymore as I wanted just a regular fill and to get an entire color painted over them). I asked him if that was acrylic, and he said no, that its pink because I have pink. At this point, he had already started doing my first hand while I was asking this. I asked if he could please use acrylic for the other hand as I specifically did not ask for pink gel. He ignored me and continued to do pink on the other hand. I asked if they charged more for pink and he said yes. I asked why is that when I didnt ask for that. He said it wouldnt look right to do regular acrylic since my nails were ombre and already pink. I told him I wanted a color over my nails and that you wouldnt be able to see the color difference, but he continued anyways and ignored me. Very rude. He charged me $25, and not the $17 I was told over the phone. He didnt start trying to make conversation with me until after the confrontation regarding pricing. He began asking where I got my nails done and why I didnt want to keep the ombre and I explained that I didnt like them and only got them for my wedding a few weeks prior. Its like a light bulb went off in his head when he realized the reason I wanted regular acrylic was because I didnt like the ombre, and not that I didnt want to pay for them. He began telling me that now he understands and he now knows how I like my nails for next time, trying to be nice and makeup for my experience there. I wont be returning here as he charged me for something I didnt ask for. Im unsure as to why I needed a pink gel fill when I had my nails painted black, and you cant even see the pink filled underneath.

The salon is attractive and clean. The staff is courteous and pleasant. Olivia is the best!

Rushed through my pedicure. Barely spent time smoothing out my feet. Quickly painted my toenails and moved onto the next person. Not worth the money i spent.

I made an appointment on July 22nd to have a manicure done and my nails dipped for the first time. During the manicure my nail started bleeding, it was not relaxing. One week after getting my nails dipped they started to chip. I paid $50 and thought that it was suppose to last 3 to 4 weeks. I called and informed them of this. They said I would need to make an appointment to have acrylic and shellac put on because my nails were too short. I would still have to pay for half the service. I will not be going back.

My mom and I went to get our nails done. A woman came up to use took me back and a girl came to do my nails. Then she left and I thought that she would take my mom back too. The girl who did my nail was very nice. She did a great job on my nails but when I kept looking over at the waiting area I saw my mom still waiting in the waiting area. We both had an appointment at 1:00. When I was done at 1:45 the manager called on my mom when we were about to check out and said I can take you now if you want? My mom said no, that she wasnt going to make me wait while she get her nails done. I liked it but I didnt like that for 2 people that had a 1:00 appointment they didnt take both of us at the same time but instead they took me and never got to my mom. Another thing that upsets me is that a bunch of loud ladys came in. Apparently they didnt have appointments but they called earlier that day and asked for a specific person to do their nails. So the person who was supposed to do my moms nails were doing another womans nails who didnt even have an appointment. If I had to choose I probably wouldnt do there again.

Owner made sexist comment about how a lady’s nails “should look” and soaked my friends hands in pure acetone for nearly an hour! Her hands- now dry and peeling everywhere- look like a car ran over them. The man “assisting her” was neglectful- working on random paperwork while she sat with burning hands. They left her nails ragged and uneven, refusing to actually remove the shellac following the acetone dunking. Worst. Day. Ever.

If I can put no star it would be the best.I had the worse experience I came in a did dip powered on my nails and the girl that did them did a really bad job, I went back and showed them the owner and few employees came and seen how bad the job was and offered to do them again than a middle eastern worker came and was being very rude and should of mine her own business. I went back and redid them and they still did a bad job. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. I for sure won’t be going back. They over charge you and don’t do a good job at all.

It was the worst experience of my life. They have made me wait the last 3 times 30-45 minutes WITH AN APPOINTMENT. I waited today 25 minutes and the girl comes up to me and says its going to be a while the girl I was helping before you just ruined all her nails. I said cant someone else help her I had an appointment and just waited 25 minutes already. And she just walked away from me not saying a word. I have never had a nail salon treat me so rudely in my life. NEVER GO THERE

Very clean, well-decorated nail salon that takes walk-ins. Lots of chairs, and service was thorough, detailed, and friendly. Prices were great, got a traditional mani/pedi for $42.

Made an appt. It would have been my first visit. Was scheduled to get a mani, pedi and shellac. I picked out three different colors on the shellac and they didnt have any my choices I has picked on the color wheel they gave me to choose the color. After the third pick and them telling me they have that color, I told them forget it. I left, went up the street to a place called Blossom nails and had the most enjoyable experience. Sometimes I believe things happen for a reason and am so grateful I didnt just settle and went to a more pleasant place.

Great shellac mani but make an appointment to avoid a long wait!

They state that they open at 11am on Sunday. I’ve been waiting over 20 minutes for them to “open”. Four other women have gone up to try the door and the store is still empty with no one there. Extremely disappointing.
