After a wonderful Summer in Northern MI it was time to head home (900 miles) and on my last day at 3:00 on Saturday I had a blowout an hour from Traverse. Got the spare on and called and they were so helpful the found the tires for me and held them and said if I got there before 5 they could help. Arrived 4:32 and left 5:08 with 4 new tires (to be safe) and laughing. Great team great service. This was my first experience but now I know they’re great!

We had a great experience at the Discount Tire in Traverse city. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The manager Tyler was very empathetic to our current situation and struggles. He worked with us financially and gave us a great deal. Tyler also made everything smooth and stress free. Definitely would recommend the staff and store in TC. It was nice to see team work and such kind, caring souls. 👍Great job!

Last week, I went with my daughter to Discount Tires to buy new tires for her car.The entire process was done by her (I wanted her to learn) and the employees at Discount Tire.It was professional, courteous, and with great consideration to Cova19. From the moment we arrived, you could see how the movement of cars and interaction with employees was clearly marked to reduce unnecessary contact.In addition, it was refreshing to see that in this business, customers, not politics come first. That is why, I will continue doing business with them and not other tire providers who impose their enormous flags to you..

On Saturday, July 24, 2021 we (two senior couples) we’re vacationing in Northwest Michigan and picked up a large screw in our tire . We changed the tire and called the Discount Tire store in Traverse city around 3:30 PM on a Saturday. Knowing that we were a half hour away and with the store closing at 5:00 we were doubtful that we would be able to be seen in time. However, the staff was very friendly and told us to come in. They repaired the tire in short order and even replaced the spare and jack in the proper compartments. To top it off there was no charge. Great service and respectful staff. We’ve been going to Discount Tire for years and this is another reason why.

For many years now we have purchased our tires through DT. Every single time my husband or I have anything done there we are always impressed with their staff! On a quick trip from Ohio, I received amazing service for my slow leaking tire. Removed nail, added patch and had me back on the road in 15 minutes. This location is really organized. Didnt even have to leave my car!

Came in from out of town with a flat, right before closing. The tire was unrepairable, but we found a new one and they installed it the same day. Tom and Corie gave great service and communication. I am a Discount Tire customer for life!

We were in TC from out of town and found out that our tire was losing air quickly at almost 5:00 pm on a Saturday. We had to drive 7 hours the next day, so it was critical to get the tire fixed. We got to the Discount Tire at just after 5 and the three people left stayed after quitting time and pitched in to make a repair in about 10 minutes! We really appreciated the quick work! We will take all our business here when we’re in town.

This place is AWESOME! I went because my vehicle had a low tire gauge on... discovered I had a nail in my tire. Techs plugged it for FREE! Super nice and friendly service all around!

Went in today to have new all terrains installed on my dually f350. I spoke to a few different members of the staff, all were polite, helpful and professional. They got all 6 tires mounted really quickly. Good experience for sure.

We were out of town and needed brake work. Our mechanic couldnt get our wheels off because our lug nut socket was still in TC. Eric next day aired the correct socket so we could get the work done before we got back on the freeway to return home. Nice guys, clean shop, good work!

Had a tire that kept going flat, I brought it in to Discount tire and they removed a screw, patched it and sent me on my way for no cost because I had bought the tire here. They were quick, efficient and helpful. I did have to wait for a bit as I did not have an appointment, but that is a small price to pay for such good service.

Very disappointed with discount tire i went online and used the wheel finder to find wheels for my truck. Put in what year make model and wheel size found a nice set of wheels that clearly stated these will fit your truck no where did it say i need to modify my vehicle to make these rims fit.The guy at this location goes these are offset rims and will stick out 2 more than your original rims and they may rub and these are more for a 4x4 truck.So if there going to possibly rub and are better for a 4 wheel drive then why are they being listed as being a recommend fit for my truck?Needless to say i wasted my time and my gas to travel well over 84 miles for nothing because your site is a joke and gives false information thanks a lot.

Ive been here multiple times for rim and tires changes with multiple cars. Always quick and done well. The only time it took a while to finish was because I came at a peak time with every work bay full. So I knew that a wait was to be expected.None the less. Theyve been good to me. Hope they are for you too.

Discount Tire has got it together. Had a 10 am appointment that they notified me about my tire rotation. Arrived to a check in line. Acknowledging my appointment. Waited 5 minutes to get in. Rotation took 10 minutes. I never left the car! All COVID clean and propper.

ORDERED TIRES FROM DISCOUNT TIRE WEBSITE TO THIS STORE THEY TOLD ME TO COME IN ANYTIME AND THEY WOULD INSTALL SHOWED UP AND THEY WHERE GONE MUST HAVE SOLD OUT FROM UNDERNEATH ME THEY WHERE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. COOL NO PROBLEM I UNDERSTAND MISTAKES HAPPEN JUST RE ORDER THE TIRES 2 WEEKS LATER I CALL AND ASK IF THE RE ORDER WAS IN THEY SAID YES COME IN I SHOW UP ONLY TO BE TOLD RIGHT BEFORE THE NEW TIRES WHERE TO BE INSTALLED THAT THEY WHERE THE WRONG KIND. BEFORE TELLING PEOPLE TO COME IN AND LOSE MONEY FROM BEING AWAY FROM WORK MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PRODUCT THEY ORDERED AND IF YOU CANT DO THAT AT LEAST MAKE SURE ON THE 2ND RIP THE TIRES ARE WHAT THEY ORDERED 1 MONTH WAIT FOR NOTHING.

I just stopped into Discount Tire in TC to get my spare tire repaired. The tire was to old to be serviced so I thought I would need to buy a new tire which isnt in the budget right now. The guy working there said no problem, well take care of it. He put a used tire on and said youre good to go. He wouldnt take any money for it.This employee went above and beyond. They will have my business for life.

We have taken 3 work trucks in recently for new tires. We have one more vehicle to return with but I highly doubt we will return after this fiasco.We first began by calling around for the best price. The gentleman on the phone was great and suggested a new-to-us tire that actually was a bit cheaper than we usually spend. We decide to give it a shot. We place an order for 12 of these tires to be ordered and held, pay the $25 deposit and schedule our appointment.We are 45 minutes away from Discount Tire...Vehicle #1 - We show up to our first appointment - they can only find 3 of 4 tires. We schedule an appointment to return AND we get a receipt showing the total for all THREE trucks. The gentleman had graciously offered us a discount due to the hassle of having to come back. Thankfully we got a receipt of this...you will find out why later on.We return for the second appointment for the first vehicle and have the tires installed and we are on our way.Vehicle #2 - We show up, tires are installed. We did not bring the receipt with us as we didnt expect to need it but they say they see no discount on our account. After a little while, the gentleman offers $50 off. We pay and inform them that we will bring the receipt with the next vehicle to show the discount owed to us.Vehicle #3 - We show up to our scheduled appointment. Mind you they have informed us that all tires are in (but they also did for Vehicle #1 as well). Would you be surprised to find out they can only find 3/4 tires? Believe me, I was too. Well to top it off - they were unaware that they only had 3 tires until AFTER removing all 4 of my tires. So, they put the 2 new tires on the front of the vehicle and put my old ones back on the back. They then put the third tire in the back of the truck so they did not lose it. You cant make this stuff up!! At this point, we are extremely frustrated for now having WASTED two separate trips for the same issue!! While we are here, we show them the receipt that showed the price we would be out the door for ALL THREE vehicles after the initial gentleman offered us a discount for their first issue. Even with the proof in their hands, they still have no clue how we would get that price...and on top of that - they were not even crediting the $25 deposit we were REQUIRED to pay.We leave and are told that they will contact us when the last tire is in - estimated 1-2 days. NOBODY calls so we call them 3 days later. After attempting literally for hours (phone rings and rings - replaying their greeting), someone answered (Anthony). He assures us he will look into this and return our call by 6 pm that day. Of course, no returned call. So, we call the next day and speak to someone else (Mike) - who AGAIN assures us he will call us back after he does some research. No surprise here BUT again, no returned call. So, we decided to show up the following day. They magically have our last tire - install it and we are on our way!Let me say - I am a pretty understanding person (I am a manager - I get that mistakes happen) especially now due to Covid delays AND I know they are busy with people getting their snow tires on...but even just a LITTLE follow-through would have made this experience better and I might not have felt the need to leave a review. We felt like they were irritated with us everytime we called - the only one who has the right to be irritated here is ME! We have one more vehicle and honestly - Id rather pay more to go elsewhere than to deal with them again. They probably would only have 3 tires anyways LOL. I can understand showing up for 1 appointment and they have mistakenly lost a tire....but a second time that this happens? If my employees ran my business this way - they would no longer be my employees.

Customer service is non existent. Ordered tires over a week ago, prepaid for half of the price ( 750$ ) Tech told us they would be there last Wednesday and would call us for installation. Still no call nothing from them.. I have spent 3 hours or longer trying to call to find out when we get our tires only to have an automated msg answer telling customers how important ur business and call is and bc every employee is busy helping others my call will be answered by the next available employee.. its absolutely rediculous! Awful awful awful!!

Great service at all Discount Tire locations and this one is no exception. Got a flat on a hunting trip last November and brought the truck in last minute and the techs were super friendly, chatted with my dad and I and generally made for a pleasant experience. Tire was covered under warranty. Missed an evening of hunting but not so bad as it could have been!

I was out of town on 4th of July week vacation. My RV had tire valve issues on 2 separate tires. After calling around to 3 different places I with no success I contacted discount tire. I had my grandkids wife and dog with me so the pressure was on. Eric and his team got me in and back on the road much faster than I would have imagined. One tire was even the inside dually. After hearing my story I was charged nothing. Thank you Eric you know how to treat people and have gained my respect.

November 9, (snow) extremely busy! The reps were well mannered and polite all day. As a walk in customer, I had to wait 6.5 hours to get tires installed. Good products and reasonable prices and service. Made for a very long day.

We were on vacation visiting friends in Traverse City when I noticed I had a low tire pressure light on. Our friends recommended Discount Tire. I went there and within 30 minutes, they repaired the tire, replaced a valve stem, checked the remaining tire pressures and had me out the door at no cost. I highly recommend these folks. They’re very knowledgeable and efficient.

Didnt have an appointment, but they accept walk-ins. Was fully expecting to be waiting awhile since I didnt have an appointment. They told me about an hour, which I was completely ok with. They had my car in, 4 new tires on, and my car out in 25 minutes! Great service!

Always has mid grade or premium tires available. Always gotta wait for an inexpensive solution. Had to get tires someplace else a few times in a row now.Im not mad, but it was odd to me to be called discount and have cheaper options, but rarely cheaper -available- options.Staff is always courteous and kind to me and my family otherwise.

Entered the building to find 20 people standing in the front office look like maybe five of them had been helped and the other fifteen were Milling around or standing there in line waiting to be talked to by a representative finally after waiting for seems like what seems like an eternity finally got some service only to be told that my tires that I have found off of Craigslist yes I know second-hand tires but still were in very good condition would not Mount them on the rims for me because they said they were not appropriate for my car who defines what is appropriate drove the car all last winter with the set of tires I was asking for to be put back on the car no problems whatsoever car got excellent traction dont know why they wouldnt Mount them would not give a practical reason so I just left

Best place for tires nice people only place I go the past 20 years

Have bought 2 sets of tires in the last year or so at Traverse City store. Most recently November 14 during freak snow/cold spell, even for up here. All the tire places were way behind, even with appointments. However, Discount will get to your vehicle if you can leave it. It may take all day, but they get it done. This was with people lined up practically out the door and almost no parking spots!They are a squared away group, as they have separate lines for walk-ins and appointments and pick-ups. In the midst of the madness they even keep the coffee filled!Although everyone Ive dealt with is pleasant, a special shout-out to Thomas who wrote me up, and Brandon who called when the car was ready.At least one more set of tires in the near future, so see you guys soon.

I had blown a tire the night before and there werent any tire places open. A family member mentioned that my late grandfather only used Discount fornall his tire needs so I got the tow truck driver to take my car there. I called in the morning and even though hadnt gotten my voicemail due to electrical issues they got my car in and re-tired in more than enough time for me to pick it and get to work on time. Not to mention the customer service was excellent, it was a very fluid and comfortable experience. Thanks Brandon!
