We are starting our third year at the Southerly. We love our apartment on the 5th floor. The staff have been responsive to our needs. Tim, assistant property manager has been terrific. The maintenance team of Richard and Leroy have taken good care of our maintenance issues.

Living at the Southerly has been great. I’ve been here almost a year and I have no complaints and only praise.To make it simple and digestible, I’ll list out things that I look out for in apartments that were met here:- modern, well kept units (large tub, granite countertops, breakfast bar, large sink, and effective dishwasher)- on-time regular air filter replacements (scheduled, so w/o submitting a request)- incredibly fast, friendly, and trustworthy maintenance team; Rich and Leroy are unmatched (maintenance requests are addressed within a day usually)- responsive and informed management team (s/o to Tim Toussaint)- cameras in the parking garage- close by parking spot to my unit- accessible street parking- package lockers (and option for package drop off at the leasing office)- dog washing station for those with pups!You won’t make a mistake signing a lease here. It has been a seamless process.

We love it here they keep up the property staff is friendly apartments amazing before I moved in I seen reviews about noise but I never here people in the hall or my upstairs neighbor if u constant office about problems or dirt they are very quick to take care of it we don’t regret moving in here at all

I’ve been here for a month and so far my experience has been very pleasant from the application process to having maintenance make some minor but very swift improvements. Tim has been very helpful, welcoming and polite and has made my move a great and smooth experience. The space is beautiful and very well maintained. It’s typically peaceful and quiet.The area is great with a mall in walking distance and plenty of other shopping within 10 min. My unit is also in a convenient location making it easy to come and go with ease, grab my packages etc. I absolutely love it here!

Had a great touring process. I want to give recognition to Tae Li Stotts from the The leasing team. She is so kind, professional and incredible guide throughout the building. The property too is Excellent with great amenities. Unfortunately I choose Banner hill over Southerly due to location.

Lived here for a year, and I don’t see why you wouldn’t live here if you can afford it. The staffs are amazing, always in touch, and awesome utility and features.Neighboring apartments are at better price, for sure, but I here fire alarm at least two times a month from there. I never heard fire alarm pulled once during the entire year.If you can afford it, you’d be satisfied.

From a movers perspective this place is great. I called in advance to ensure my crew was prepared and the woman who answered the phone was extremely helpful and friendly. When we arrived we couldnt get the loading elevator to lock out and once again the team at the southerly was extremely helpful to us and the resident.

The Southerly is a great place to live, it is always kept very clean, I have not had one problem with noise around me either. The amenities are very nice and the places are never extremely crowded. Nice safety feature having key fobs to get in the garage entrance and apartment doors, nice people in the office as well. Have had little maintenance problems and maintenance have fixed the problems that i have had right away.

Ive had the pleasure of living here for the past two or so years. I first rented out a 1BR then moved to a 2BR apartment. I am sad to leave this complex as I am moving out of state. That being said this review will hit the points that I take into account day to day.First of all the management and maintenance staff are one of the strongest points of living here. Ashley and her team are very accommodating. Communication is kept open and Ive never encountered a problem with reaching out when there is an issue.Mail is handled through convenient amazon mailboxes, a standard mail room, and any larger packages are handled by the leasing office. Never any issues here. The office allows you to use their storage carts as well if you need to haul larger items to your room.Now on to the rooms themselves. The appliances are all modern and convenient to use. HVAC is well maintained. My room stays the temperature I want it to, and I can even schedule cooling/heating times throughout the day.All cabinets and drawers are fitted with nice soft close drawer slides which for me is an extremely nice touch. Its hard finding another neighboring apartment complex with this feature.The rooms are spacious and the balconies extend your living space. Kitchens are easy to work with. The dark hardwood floor is beautiful and adds even more uniqueness to our living space.Bathrooms are quite large and fitted with a good amount of storage space.I usually have the TV on or headphones in when in my room so noise isnt usually an issue with me. That being said, the noise can travel from the floor above/below you.Trash can be handled by a valet service or there are separate trash rooms located in every floor. Guidelines to use these services are easy to follow.Overall the rooms have an abundance of storage space. Each bedroom fitted with a walk-in closet. The apartment also offers storage units for anyone that needs extra.Parking is garaged and convenient. Getting in and out of the garage is simple. Management assigns spots on your floor so the walk to and from the car is never a hassle. If you know how to drive correctly, you should have no problem maneuvering the garage even during peak hours. Large blind spot mirrors have also been fitted in the garage to help you out even more here. Comparing this to neighboring garage situations, I would confidently rate it above average.Amenities are also an extra. Lobby is kept clean. I never have an issue with security and safety.The apartment complex is new and management seems really put in effort to make change in the right direction.

It’s been 4 months since I moved in so far no major issue, Really liked crystal in the office . They send out emails pretty frequently to keep us updated .

Everything is brand new, maintenance is quick and fast, got a request fixed the same day. Management is constantly trying to find ways to improve an already amazing place to live.

Have been living at this place since the end of March 2017. Applying and getting all the paperwork was a smooth process thanks to the leasing agents. Apartments are brand new, moved into a 3BR/2BA spot, nice open layout. Appliances are all stainless steel and energy efficient. Have only had 1 maintenance request submitted and issue was taken care of within a business day. Would definitely recommend as a place to rent.Update: moved out Feb 2018 Reason for lowering ratings is due to constant issues once apartment started filling up. Front door was constantly broken, intercom wasn’t working upon move out, garage door would break often, causing the door to stay open and making it a security risk. Best part of apartment is the maintenance crew, always responsive and quick.Also, when it’s time to renew your lease, your rent will go up - for me it was close to $300 more.

Never Ever come to this apartment. The apartment office staff super slow and bad. They lie to you, especially Shantel Mclean, she’s really don’t know what should u do, so wast a lot of time. Believe me, don’t come here.

I lived here since Aug. 2017, trust me this the worst place to rent. I live in the third floor and the apartment in the forth floor let there kid play all day since 7am until 12am, and I cant even take a nap!, I went to have another apartment just for evening nap 2,300$ and you still cant have a nap in your place. Manager and front disk stuff just keep shaking there heads and agree until I left there door and nothing happened.Also, be aware that elevator always broke down you have to use the stair with your groceries every couple days.Over that, in winter season guess what? Rats in the building! Yes rats on the garage as well as stairs.I cant believe Am about to leave this zoo seriously!

Horrible management staff. Very late on responding and quite rude!! No wonder nobody lives here. They say the units are new but they are not! I cant wait to move out of here!! Dont get locked into their 1 year lease trap. Neighboring properties offer way better rates and we were treated much better!

My husband and I have lived here for 4 months. The facility is new and the staff is very helpful. Unfortunately, the proximity to two colleges makes this a total frat house. After numerous complaints, the noise has been stopped after 10pm but my coffee table vibrates to the awful teeny bopper dance beats at all other hours. The ventilation is contiguous with those above and below each apartment so there is virtually no noise insulation. This place makes me miserable.

The apartments are really nice. But, the noise is obnoxious; very late nite music, the traffic on the street (yelling, engine revving) that echos between buildings. There are some unfortunate maintenance items that keep popping up. At first, those were easy to ignore as the building was brand new. More recently .... not a good thing. Residents are careless with trash too as it constantly piles up in the trash rooms -- is it too hard to properly dispose of trash and recycling? Apparently so.

The staff was super sweet and helpful while we were looking for a place!
