Terrine place... management is not at all considerate and are totally inhuman... I joined the gym and got the membership cancelled the very next day(I have paid for a year without my knowledge)... but I don’t Know how they are still charging me till date( I followed the entire cancellation procedure) ... and today when I went to get things sorted they had no answer and are charging me for another month and $10 for cancellation... their simple answer was they can’t do anything!!!The management has confirmed that they agree that I didn’t use their any facilities and have not appeared in their log for more than a year... and still they don’t have any solution to this... they are not ready to refund my money .....

After keeping my membership in place while the Torrance Total Woman was closed because of the pandemic and learning a few days ago via email that the gym is now open but no classes will take place, I decided my membership no longer had any value for me and decided to cancel it. Problem: There is NO way to cancel on the app or online. I thus emailed Total Woman to ask how to cancel. No response. I called the Torrance Total Woman and was told that there would be no response to an email! And that there are two ways to cancel: (1) come into the gym and talk to the manager; (2) write a letter -- snail mail -- that includes specific information. Cancellation takes 45 days -- during which you continue to pay the monthly fee via your credit card (total amount charged depends on day cancellation is recorded and day you joined) -- and costs $10, which will be charged to your credit card. Given that Im self-isolating for 7 days in accordance with hospital pre-surgery COVID-19 rules, I cannot do option 1. That leaves option 2 -- snail mail -- which is fraught with problems: How will I know the letter was received? When will the 45 days start? Etc., etc. I didnt cancel right when TW closed because of the pandemic because I wanted to support TW employees through the closure. That, it appears, was a mistake. TWs cancellation procedure is overly burdensome and punitive for the member and greedy on the part of the company.

Terrible place to workout, I feel like its 1990 in there. Thought is would be a good idea but did not workout. Class times and options are not flexible. Trying to get a quick class during lunch is impossible. When it came time to cancel it was the hardest thing ever. Started March 2019, paid $70 registration fee for the year tried to cancel and they still charged me $10 to cancel the month to month. Then decided to charge me for another month and 5 days. Find someone else, your better off. Clearly they dont care that you tried them and it didnt workout. They want the money.

Very nice and clean facility. Not huge, but a comfortable environment. Lots of friendly people. Although I dont mind exercising with men, Its a much more relaxing feeling to work out with only women. It feels like a ladies club, which is hard to find these days. Lots of fun classes to choose from. Limited equipment, but the variety of classes and available spa services kinda make up for it. I have not yet had a spa treatment, but I have toured the spa area. It totally reminds me of Burke Williams spa, but more reasonably priced. I have heard good things about the spa treatments and I am excited to receive my first treatment very soon. I love that I have an option to choose a facial treatment or a body massage, twice monthly. I am all about self care in 2018!

Its a nice quaint gym designed specifically for women. I like it because women are there to get in a serious workout vs trying to impress men at the gym. Its not cheap.

Ive been a member of this club since it opened at this location. The staff is wonderful, and the facility is very clean. Trainers and classes are top-notch. The attached spa is a nice bonus, and a worthwhile addition to the membership.

Girls at the front desk & Spa are all nice, but not the sales & manager, who never return my calls.Very unseasonable policy about membership cancellation! PLEASE BE AWARE!!! When I cancelled my membership on Sept. 10, I was not happy but understood the Sept. monthly charge and cancellation fee $10 or $15 (I forgot). However, I had another monthly charge on Oct. 1 😡 According to their ‘’policy’’ which I was never told, I was responsible for the next 45 days after cancelling my membership. THAT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE AT ALL. I called Total Women, but never got return calls from the manager. I was very very disappointed so I had to call my Visa company & file disputes to prevent Total Women from taking my hard-earning money. If you’re thinking about joining Total Women and ok with their unreasonable membership cancellation policy, GOOD LUCK!

I love the overall concept and think it has tremendous value with improvement in a few areas. I love that I am highly encouraged to give myself 2 spa treatments every month that I otherwise might not be able to justify with my busy schedule. I love that the locker room and bathroom feel more like a spa bathroom and locker room than a gym. I love the classes and the instructors. What I dont love is the cheap toiletries in the shower. In my younger years I stayed in seedy hotels with better shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I suspect Total Woman hasnt upgraded these since the 1980s. I dont love that my luxurious body scrub was recently replaced with something cold, wet, inconsistent and odorless. I also dont love the televisions in front of every workout space and the music choices. Rather than all channels be whatever is on TV, I would love to see self-improvement television on at least one screen. After all, this is a self-improvement center. I would love to see self-improvement courses provided to clients in other areas of their life, other than just physical. And, I would love more upbeat workout music that keeps the blood pumping rather than whatever happens to be playing on the top 40 hits. I also understand, after interviewing various employees, that there is a real need for improvement in management all the way to the top. It is a business that caters to woman and is owned an operated by a group of men. As a business consultant I tend overanalyze even my workout space and I see where the overall concept needs to go to attract and keep happy clients. It is a fabulous concept that just needs a womans touch.

Im not a daily workout animal by any stretch...but love that there are always plenty of machines available...and the workout room is spacious and smells good! If you are looking for a nice Gym with the convience of a Spa...this is the place.

I enrolled here a few weeks ago because my friend is a member at the Glendale location. I was a bit hesitate to enroll because this location is not nearly as nice as Glendale however I got a very cheap Groupon to try it out for a month.First of all getting the Groupon redeemed was a huge hassle. I spoke with Joi and told her I wanted to redeem my Groupon so she made an appointment for me. I arrived for my appointmennt early only to find that Joi never made the appointment and that Id have to wait 20 minutes because Joi was with someone else. When she did finally redeem my Groupon she forgot to give me my membership card.Second of all, this place is way too small and they blast the air conditioning for all their Yoga classes. Who does that? Members always complain that they never can warm up enough to do the poses correctly. Plus there are only 2 Yoga instructors that are competent.Okay then last of all, I always see members go into the sauna and steam room in their sweaty workout clothes. Ive complained many times to management but they never do anything. My friend says this never happens at her location so maybe all have different rules.

What gym doesnt have a water fountain....or a broken 1 ????? The set up of place is small and puzzlesh classes are more aimed for the elderly....not A REAL ZUMBA CLASS TO GET FIT. MEMEBERSHIP IS PRICEY AND IF YOU HAVE KIDS GET READY TO DISH OUT $25 AND $15 FOR ADDITIONAL CHILD...THE KIDS CLUB IS DIRTY....TOYS LOOK ABUSED AND STAINS AND UNSANITARY. JOY IS VERY NICE AND SO ARE YOUNG GIRLS IN FRONT DESK. BUT THE SALES GIRL SUSAN IS VERY PUSHY AND ATTITUDE ....THEY SELL YOU A MEMEBERSHIP AND RIGHT AFTER UR ON UR OWN ....NO WELCOMING OR ADVICE...OR HELP....INFACT THE SUSAN GIRL DIDNT EVEN GIVE ME A MEMEBERSHIP PASS AFTER I SIGNED UP ........SO I HAD TO GO THROUGH THE NAME, WHO SIGNED ME UP ETC NOT IN THE SYSTEM DRAMA. And The sales girl Susan who originally signed me up held me responsible for not having a membership card...lol do they grow on trees????....and I had my infant with me and she interrogated me and. Insisted that I dont have kids club...when she was the 1 who signed me up for whole package....😣😥😥😥😥😥all in all ...PPL GO TO A GYM THAT has M ORE EQUIPMENT AND VARIETY OF REAL WORKOUT CLASSES NOT ELDERLY DANCE CLASSES...WHICH IS OK BUT NOT IF YOUR TRYING TO GET FIT....THE CLASS INSTRUCTERS ARE ALWQYS LATE OR CANCEL OR NOT SHOW UP....GYM STAFF BRUSHES U OFF IF U HAVE A QUESTION....LOOKS LIKE LIKE OF DRAMA LOL
