Why has it taken me so long to come here?? The Benchmark was a true experience with a great cut, head & arm massage, and styling. Definitely investing in my haircuts going forward!

This place was a bit pricey but pretty nice. They offered my beer, coke, or water when I walked in and waited in some really comfy chairs. Braxton was my barber and he did a great job. Fantastic fade and good conversation. If I lived in town, Id go back for sure.

I had a REALLY great experience with Emma yesterday. My normal barber is moving into his own studio this month and I needed to find someone else to cut my hair in the meantime. Im very particular about my hair (which is why I regularly drive to Houston to someone I trust). I was nervous, but Emma did a fantastic job. She cut my hair exactly the way I asked her to, and was even accommodating enough to raise my fade a little higher than what I initially asked for halfway through the cut. Im not sure about the rest of the barbers here, but I would highly recommend Emma.

Had a wonderful time preparing for my wedding at this salon. Had my hair cut, a straight shave, and a shampoo time with the barber. While the barber did nick me a few times, it is expected at times in a straight shave but did wonderfully to care for my face to prevent it from showing later on. I would come here again definitely!

Husband used to really look forward to coming here at the end of a work week. We have tried the past 2 years to see if service has turned around, but valuing the customer are just non existent. Most discouraging is they once did this excellently. Hard pass.

I have been using the board room monthly since October of 2020. The original stylist I started using left the company in January and I stated using Sabrina. She has been amazing and does a great job. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a higher end experience. Some would consider this a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.The express price includes a drink offering when you walk in and wait, the cut, a shampoo and scalp massage, and styling. There are numerous other packages involving shaves, colorings, etc. There are also price breaks for buying multiple visits upfront or lying for the year.

I have a weekly time set and the front desk always messes it up. They bump your appointment and don’t even call you. I had to call in and they don’t even ask to reschedule for you. I go every Friday at 10am every week. Time to find a new place. Kay is great but the front desk and management is horrible. Let’s see how long it takes me to get a refund on my membership now!

First time going, great place for hair cut and beard trimming. A little pricey, got my neck and beard trim only cost was $30.

I’m a fan of the Boardroom and have been bringing family and friends here for quite some time as well. I like how quick and easy it is to make reservations and the check in and check out is quick.It would be great to see more familiar faces with each return. Feels as if there is a little bit of a revolving door and leads to inconsistency in the customer experience.Need to increase the number of channels you have on your TV. Having channels such as NBC, CBS, ABC so that you can watch pro football games would be ideal for our business catering to men.

The stylist totally messed up my cut. One side was way different from the other. Then her fix made it worst. I said, “let’s stop it’s nothing helping”. The stylists in this salon seem lackluster for the image the company is seeking. I take pride in my appearance and understand the idea of ‘you get what you pay for’. I feel tricked!

Both the operations staff and the stylists are professional, helpful and mindful of excellent service provision. Always a pleasure. Laura is my stylist. Shes amazing and is one of those stylists that you start working with initially, have a conversation about what youre looking to do, and from there you can defer to her on your look over time. Easy. Easy is good.

Downgrading from 5 stars. Service is still consistently great, but price increases over the last year have been a bit excessive for what is still a commodity-type service. I will probably have to find an alternative spot. Also, stop asking me if I want a benchmark. I dont have that level of membership. You know this, and its annoying. Thanks.

Pricey and hair stylists are always running behind, doesnt matter what time in the day or weekday... so plan 1h for the express 30 minutes haircut, or 1h30m for the 45 minutes benchmark

Always a enjoyable relaxing experience at this location. Drinks are always cold, cologne on standby if you want to freshen up a bit, pepermints in a large bowl, TV is always on. Friendly staff, barbers are great, the shave is awesome, head massage is just pure relaxing. This location is very clean, nice people in and out.

Get a membership! I have had one for a couple of years and it is invaluable for the professional who always needs to look as good as they can.

I had great service at my visit. The barber was different than most because he listened to my requests and made me happy. I also had my first ear wax and I cant believe I just discovered this service.This is not you corner barbershop. You get what you pay for.

Ive been going here for probably 5-6 years straight. I couldnt imagine getting my haircut anywhere else, I love this place. Beer/water/soda for free when you check in. Cool staff who are well trained. Very dapper feeling atmosphere with dark wood paneling and deep luxurious leather seats and couches. The benchmark includes the haircut, hand wax dip, hot towel, scalp/face/forearm/hand massage, and finish it off with a free styling if you so choose. I waited up until recently to try the membership and I was a fool for waiting so long. Unlimited haircuts for the membership price, and it starts paying for its self if you get haircuts at least once every 3 weeks. Do yourself a favor and try the benchmark just once, youll be hooked!

Fantastic experience!! First time here and signed up for the annual benchmark program. Haircut was fantastic and the spa treatment was very relaxing. I dont think Ill ever go anywhere else. I love that the stylist took the time to edge me up properly but front and back. She listened to what I had to say, explained to me what she thought would look the best. The appointment did not feel rushed at all. Every other place Ive been to tries to get you in and out as quick as possible, here it feels like they are there for you, and only you with no need to rush at all. Highly recommend!

Awesome environment, very professional, service was excellent but the cut was not what I asked for.I asked for a mid-high bald fade or “skin” fade. I was cut down to a one or zero. Never was I shaved down to skin on the lowest part of the fade. Paying for what I did, would appreciate it if they would listen to what I asked for.

Absolutely incompetent at beards. They seriously ruined it, refused to refund me, unresponsive customer service. Dont even bother trying to get help from them. Theyll say well talk to corporate about this as some kind of way to deflect from giving you back your money. This guy put an abomination of facial hair design on my face. But hey, they are friendly.

Great salon tailored towards men. Its been a while since Ive been to this location but I got my hair cut here all of the time when I lived in The Woodlands. Always a great experience and the atmosphere is one you wont find many other places.

My wife has been hounding me for years about how ridiculous my toenails look, so I finally decided to so something about it and I made an appointment here. Its easy to do online. Made for first thing Friday morning at 10am (1st available time). You can choose who you want if you are a regular or you can pick any staff or even if you want male or female. The check-in was easy. They offer you a free drink while you wait. The lobby is small and there were several guys there at 10a. I was walked back into a small room where they did the nails. The girl was as gentle as she could be even though it was pretty uncomfortable for me at times. That was me, not her. Its kinda pricy, but my feet felt great once done. I would recommend the place to any guy that doesnt want to sit in a ladies salon.

Came here for the first time a couple weeks ago, Im very particular with my haircut and I asked for the best stylist. Crystal was immediately recommended. Upon arrival I was greeted with a friendly smile and a complimentary beverage. The place was very clean and really nice and I immediately felt comfortable. Crystal greeted me with a friendly smile. I could tell she was excited to have me at the salon. She did an amazing job. She was so personable and I literally laughed the whole time I was in her chair. She is very humble and down to earth. I used to get my haircut by Jacinda at this location and was told by the staff that she was no longer cutting hair. The staff not only lied on her but bad mouthed her as well. Integrity is something this place lacks and they have lost my business for good.

Best men’s salon in the woodlands, and I’ve tried them all. Please note Im referring to Salons not barbershops.From the beginning front counter staff was extremely friendly. I chose to get a cut from the first available person, I was lucky enough to get Daryl. The guy is as friendly and approachable as it comes. His background is in Afro hair but he works well with all hair types including my fine straight hair. His fades are 10/10 and attention to detail is better than any barber or stylist I’ve ever encountered. He’s got a diverse background and is very easy to converse with. All around good guy, the kind you want to drink with.Following my cut I met with Takita who was waxing my eyebrows. Another friendly face and personality. The kind of person you feel comfortable with from the get go. She was very considerate and very meticulous and I was once again amazed by how well she did.They’ve got a customer for life.I came to boardroom after waiting 45+ min at Tune up in Shenandoah only to get bumped back by someone who paid for a “VIP” membership. This is after nearly a year of loyalty and topping $20/on $35 haircuts. I cannot thank the staff at Tune up enough for driving me off and into the Boardroom where clients are actually valued.

Been coming to Crystal for 7 months now. I love it here! Crystal is always so precise and consistent when cutting my hair. I love I the consistency, the customer service and most of all I love the Benchmark! Like most things, you get what you pay for and while this was more expensive it was definitely money well spent as it was a fantastic experience.I booked with Crystal and I highly recommend her. Shes very professional and at the same time cool and funny. After my haircuts, my hair looks flawless with nothing sticking out or unevenly faded. I’ve seen this place many of times going to HEB, and yesterday I decided to walk in and get a beard trim and shave. But as soon as I walked in I just didn’t feel welcomed. The young lady behind the counter asked me if I was there for an appointment and I told her no, and she didn’t even ask me what I wanted she just said she was booking me for a express haircut, mind you I’m bald. She didn’t even bother to ask what I wanted, nor did she even look at me. To me it seems if your not a member your not as important. Funny thing is I was preparing to join as a new member and due to the lack of customer service that will not happen. Definitely not recommending this place to any of my buddies.

One particular review said, Hayley Rocks and after my appointment with her I can diffidently say that was an understatement.... She cut my hair exactly as I wanted it and not a bad conversationist as well.... I hear a lot of people crying like little girls about the pricing but honestly it is fair within the market of men salons.... I will absolutely recommend this place and my new stylist Hayley to both my new and existing clients....~

I visited this hair salon for the first time. There was a misunderstanding about my name at the beginning, which was perfectly fine. While I was waiting for my turn in the lounge area, the two ladies at the counter joked and laughed to each other about my spelling for minutes, ignoring my presence.I found it highly unprofessional and embarrassing for this salon, also considering their high price tag. The styler on the contrary was welcoming and professional, and made a nice cut. Overall I dont recommend this place, at least until they improve their customer service at the counter.

I have been coming to this location for the past 7/8 months. Each Time Crystal has done an amazing job. I usually get a fade, which can be hard when finding a new place. Crystal is a perfectionist, exactly what you want in a barber. She always takes her time, never felt rushed like you sometimes do at Sports Clips or whatever other cookie cutter barber you go to. From the moment I walk in, to the moment I leave. I have been coming to the boardroom for 5 months now. I love it! !!! I get the benchmark every time; the arm massage is my favorite. I see Crystal. She gives the best massages and haircuts. She always strives to pamper me and make sure I am comfortable. I love that I can get all my grooming needs met in one spot! I love the shiner! This place is just a good all around salon. You will always feel comfortable here as everyone is friendly and professional. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

So i went here for the first time and the cut my hair absolutely terrible. she pretty much just cuts some ramdom spots and then she tries fix all the stupid mistakes she cut. it doesnt look good at all and she completely ignored the things i said

With haircuts you get what you pay for. Ive gone here 5 years now through 3 stylists. Ive never had a bad experience. Theyre always polite, punctual, and professional. Most importa Ive never got a bad cut and ice changed styles several times. If you dont know exactly what you want, this place is way better than discount barbers.

Service was great and my hair came out well. Ive knocked a star because its overpriced. Other than expensive real estate the price isnt justified. We have some excellent independent barbers/mens salons in Houston, some highly skilled that have trained around the country. Even they dont cost this much. The very idea of the Boardroom bothers me. You get a good cut but we live in a world of $10 independent barbers and $30 hip independent gentlemens salons. Heck, Ive gone to famous shops in New Orleans, NYC and Hollywood and theyre cheaper. If Im going to a megachain that is pushing out the small guys it should be cheaper, or even competitive, not double the price. That said, 4 stars because I was happy with the service.

Fantastic experienced. Carmen is dedicated to his trade, and really made sure not to compromise the body of my beard, while tapering the sides in very nicely. After the straight razor shave, I later noticed one of the sides was lover than the other, but this was no fault of his own. It was just the way my hair grew. I will definitely be coming back in another month or so.In addition, as an added bonus, I found out Beardbrand products are sold there. Im not quite out of either oil or beard wash, but when I do, I will definitely be buying from there.

People behind the counter were sitting on the floor eating pizza and when arriving home we found out they ruined my hair.I will definitely not come back!

Ive been going to the boardroom for over a year for one reason, that reason is the exceptional service I receive from the entire staff. Taylor is by far the biggest reason I will continue to drive the 20 miles from where I live to continue to do business here. She tailors my visit the way I like and anticipated my needs before I ask. She is always friendly and always is quick with a smile or a joke, I will continue to come back!

Native Houstonian who relocated to the area 2 years ago.  Im very selective on who cuts my hair and struggled to find the right place for me.  My last stylist cut my hair for 27 years, so there were some big shoes to fill.  I tried a place or two (sports cuts) without success and decided to spend the money and try The Board Room Salon in The Woodlands.  From the minute I walked in, I was greeted warmly and felt welcome.  A cold beverage and a few minutes I was in the chair feeling good about my choice.  At that moment I knew I had found my new home and have been a regular customer ever since.Go ahead, treat yourself!  You wont regret it....

First two experiences here were pretty good. A little expensive, but the relaxing atmosphere and professional atmosphere was great. First time at the new location today and it was a disaster. I had an appointment with the lady who did my hair the first few times. She was there working but they still had me go with someone else. This lady seemed very rushed (done in five minutes). My hair looked awful but I was too embarrassed to tell her that. Also seemed like she did not know how to cut mens hair which was weird since this is a mens place.

Very poor service. This place is a total gimmick. I really wanted a barbershop that catered to men because I wanted an experienced stylist who wasnt going to give me some bouffant lesbian cut like unisex salons often do. But the whole beer at the door and wood-paneled atmosphere is just a front to get you in the door and make you pay double for a sports clips-quality cut. The girl hacked my hair to crap and quickly. It should take you longer than 10 minutes to cut hair properly. Very disappointed, you really cant find quality or style anywhere outside of the city because apparently people in the suburbs fall for this crap.

Ive been going here since 2012, so I thought itd be fitting to finally write a review for this place. Highly recommended, I have an annual membership and plan to renew it as long as I live in the area. I visit this place every week.

My first-time to the boardroom was set with high expectations. As man who normally frequents my barber, I wanted to try out what I thought was to be more upscale version of what I am used to. Unfortunately I felt rushed and was disappointed to find out there was no straight blade or actual barbers present. My hair dresser was knowledgeable it seemed, however I consistntly felt more as if I was in a pretentious Sports clips with every step. They failed to execute on what i came for, a relaxing experience for a guy. My hand wax and shampoo felt awkward as I was squeezed into a room with other men and their cosmetologists doing the same thing. Being tripped over and loud noises from the cutting room quickly pulled me out of relaxation at every turn. In conclusion,I got a hair cut, but it was not worth the money unfortunately.

Sometimes I wear my hair very short (almost military style) and sometimes I wear it rather long. When I plan to keep my hair very short I dont get it cut at The Boardroom. The prices at The Boardroom are higher and, in my view, unwarranted if Im just getting a buzz cut.But when Im wearing my hair longer (as I have been of late), I wouldnt go anywhere else for a hair cut. Longer hairstyles require a more precise cut by a more capable stylist. Yes, its more expensive to get my haircut at The Boardroom, but its either pay the higher price for a professional haircut or end up looking like a crackhead or, worse, like a megalomaniacal billionaire with a clownish mullet hairdo.

Not what I thought it would be. Its good for family but definitely not a manly place to get your beard done. I get a lot of straight blade shaves and this place has been the only one where I got cuts from it lol
