Really nice place and ambiance, not a nice haircut. The staff were nice and friendly, but the haircut was pretty bad. Would not go again.

18-8 has a very good atmosphere and feels like a high end salon. The price can be a bit high, but when you consider you’re paying for the experience as well, it makes sense. Shout out to Emma, she has always done an incredible job cutting my hair and can’t recommend her enough.

Lateesch is literally awesome. She has cut my hair two of the last four times and each time I get complements from random people about how it looks great. She is extremely professional, great conversation, and probably the best person they have at Salon 18|8 in the woodlands.

I went there two days before my birthday, exactly on 08/13/20. I had long hair and I needed a new haircut. The ladies are very nice, they follow the safety procedures due to COVID-19, they let you keep your face mask on. Make sure to call them to set up your appointment since there’s limited amount of people allowed inside.

Jennifer was my stylist and she was great. It was my second time coming here, and she was by far better than my last stylist there. She was very nice and professional. Will be requesting her from here on out! It’s a great value for a high end haircut, and in such a convenient location.

Arely did a great job cutting my hair and gave great recommendations for my hairstyle and grooming. Love the environment and the cuts/trims were done highly professionally. I highly recommend this place and if you go, I highly recommend you get done by Arely.

The lady that cut my hair was verry unprofessional and proceeded to record my head for a tik tok without asking for my permission. During the haircut she asked for my Cashapp and to buy a shampoo. Worst of all gave me a very poor haircut. Never coming back here.

Arely did an amazing job cutting my hair. Very professional and very good with styling. She showed me some tricks to improve my look, it was a success. Much much more knowledgeable than just someone that cuts hair at a chop shop! If you want to go to someone that knows their stuff, I can tell you she does. Just with one cut I can tell I will be going back! She is an artist and does an outstanding job. 18|8 has been my salon for about 9 months. My original stylist moved on but I am happy to say my new stylist, Sierra, is just as good. I took my 9 year old son for a father/son cut. It was his first visit and I wanted them to fix a really bad cut he got a few weeks ago from a non 18|8 salon. Sierra did her magic and he loved his style. I have always had really great curly hair but never had anyone who could style it to let be curly and look professional. Now I can have both and enjoy it. In fact, my cut was so good that during Covid I was unable to get it cut for almost 3x the normal time and albeit long, it still looked better than most of my Zoom colleagues. Worth the visit.

I had a really great first time experience here with MJ. She provided really great customer service and listened and made sure she knew what I wanted before starting. Unfortunately it looks like she no longer works here. My second visit was with another stylist and was not very attentive to what I was looking for.

They changed my appointment times without letting me know and wheen I tried to reason with the receptionist she was extremely rude and told me to step aside so she could take care if her other clients. Horrible experience, I will never go there again and will never recommend it to anyone 😡

I set an appointment via their online booking for monday morning at 10am with any stylist. First phone call was at 830 saying the stylist I requested had a booking error, and she wouldnt be in until 12. But they were going to move my apt to 12. I explained that I needed to keep the 10am apt, so they called another stylist to see if she could come in at 10 instead on 1030. I got a call back about 30 minutes later... the other stylist had to drop her kids off at school. (Side note. what school starts that late?)All that being said, I cancelled the booking and will look elsewhere. Based on the positive reviews, I was looking forward to the experience. Sadly they failed before I could even enter the salon.

She not only has an great touch, she recommends what works best for your type of hair and works with the customer to give the best haircut in the whole Houston-Woodlands area. Great experience i highly recommend LaTeesch truly professional and great at what she does.

They cut my husbands long curly hair and made it look very nice and stylish. They trimmed his beard, wrapped his face in a warm towel and offered complimentary beverages to both of us. It was a little more pricey than a typical mens cut but I think it was worth it. My husband was very happy.

Soon after 18|8 opened in Hughes Landing my older brother recommended I try it out; since then I have made this location and stylist Jacqueline my hair salon of choice.I have very thick curly/wavy hair and it can be a lot to handle at times, especially in the humid climate we have here in The Woodlands, TX. However, Jacqueline has been so great at making it so easy to take care of my hair that I really never worry about it. She does such a great job at finding the right style and haircut for you. What is so great is that she doesnt just cut your hair and leave. She takes the time to teach you how to take care of your hair and sets you up for success. Personally, I wanted to grow out my hair a little and instead of letting it just grow out like crazy and then cleaning it up, Jacqueline advised me on what to do and she helped me keep my hair under control as it was growing. I change my hairstyle often but Jacqueline, as well as 18|8, are always there to make sure I look my best! Would highly recommend to any guy looking to always get a solid cut.

Had an awesome experience and amazing haircut done by Arely. One thing I noticed not to long ago though is that my right eye brow is basically 1/4th shaved off. Haha, I think its funny but i just wanted to let you guys know. Still would recommend to go there!

Visited 18/8 the other day for the first time and was blown away. Great location right next to Whole Foods so parking is no problem and the view is great. Receptionist was really friendly and easy going. My stylist was Carmen and he was great. Good conversations, understanding with what I wanted, and will definitely be my pick for future haircuts.The place is very nice.. good interior, free drinks (even beer on tap), and everything is extremely high quality. Youve earned a returning customer!

I have been going here since April 2016; started with and continue going with Jacqueline. I think 20 months of service speaks for itself but Ill expand. She has been great and provided a look I thoroughly enjoy.From the start she wanted to make sure I knew why she was cutting my hair the way she was, how it was being formed into a style. She also took time to explain what I needed to do at home to recreate the look while also explaining how different products would work with my hair type.I would recommend trying out this salon and asking for Jacqueline. They offer plenty of services and perks.

Jacqueline started cutting my hair shortly after The Woodlands location opened. My hair is very straight and grows out in different directions. Very few people have ever been able to cut my hair well. I first went to 18/8 after my stylist for the last 20 years retired. I was extremely fortunate to find Jacqueline on my first visit. She is the only person who has ever cut my hair by following the contours and my hair always looks great when she is finished. She is a fantastic stylist and 18/8 is a great place to visit.

Jacqueline (Miss Jackie) has been cutting my hair for about a year now. I have very thick hair and she does a great job making it actually looked styled, vs everywhere else I’ve been that creates the exact same common look. She gives great tips on how to keep it looking good till your next appointment. She doesn’t push products on you, but if you ask, she can help you with that as well. She changes up the style from time to time, but nothing that makes you uncomfortable (I’m pretty conservative with my look). Always hear positive comments after I’ve had my haircut by Jackie.

It was a great haircut, great staff, great stylist. They were very customer service oriented and very friendly. Not at all snobby like in some salons. I drove over 30 min to come here and will come back again. Very happy.

Used to love the place, they had an amazing stylist, (Tori), she left and the lady that did my hair totally botched it, had no idea was she was doing, fumbling around looking for stuff and clearly improvising on a regular hair cut and beard trim. Not coming back, definitely not worth the price to be serviced by amateurs.Edit 7.23.18Went back and got Blanca, she was amazing and completely changed my view, shes knowledgeable and understood perfectly fine what I needed. I’ve been going to 18/8 for almost two years now and from day one, the level of service I’ve gotten has been outstanding. From the comfortable waiting area to the various hair products for sale, they have everything I need for my hair needs. My stylist, Jacqueline, is always cheerful and friendly and does outstanding work. My hair isn’t the easiest to cut but she always does an excellent job. I would recommend 18/8 and especially Jacqueline to anyone looking for a new place for their grooming needs.

FINALLY! I have searched over and over for a mens salon slash barber shop that cuts hair and provides shaves. Nice place with friendly staff. Master stylist on site with exceptional experience and capabilities. You will need to spend about an hour there, but totally worth it.

After reading the review of 18/8, I took a chance. I am quite disappointed in the quality of the cut. The beer is nice and decor is nice but to me it comes down to quality of the cut. The hair stylist did not listen to what I was saying I wanted done. She used a razor stick to cut the ends of the hair and now I got wild single hair coming out all over. I feel that technique is a easy way out. I told her several times I wanted it tighter on the sides and she said buzz cut. She could not understand the difference between tight and buzz cut. She left one side puffer than the other side. I feel that she wanted to do a so so job to sell a membership to force me to come back every 2 weeks to cleanup and redo. She kept up trying to sell a membership. Do they get commissions for selling them? I feel that for paying $50.00 for a haircut I should get $50.00 haircut not just a beer and nice place. I gotten better cuts at Sports Clips, go figure and they are half the price. I know that every hair salon comes down to the personal stylist but for charging that much I expect a place like this to get quality hair stylists.

I have been going to 18 l 8 for about a year now and highly recommend booking an appointment with Jacqueline. She is very detail oriented and takes pride in her craft. She has provided the best beard trims and haircuts that I have ever had. I am very picky and it takes me a long time to settle on a stylist. If you are like me, save yourself some time and start with Jacqueline. You wont regret it.

My husband is in the middle of growing his hair out and a few other places were not sure how to make it manageable. I found this place with good reviews, so happy he was able to get in. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about mens hair styles. Definitely a returning customer.

I had to write a review, I found this place by doing a quick google search and I am incredibly thankful, Emma took care of my hair today, and she did amazing! I actually have a professional hair cut that looks great. I have been to every place possible, and no matter how much I spent I was never fully satisfied. I am going to be a solid customer now, I recommend this to any many who is looking for a great place and willing to spend the extra for the experience.

Ive had a really good experience with 18 | 8 the few times Ive been. Its not just an in and out 10 minute buzz cut place. You can even have a complimentary beer while you get a cut! Its a nice place.Hannah has cut my hair each time and done a great job. She helped me out with deciding what kind of cut I should get, and walked me through all the styling details involved.It was a pretty big change for me since I usually just run to a sports clips, but it feels worth the extra time and money to get haircuts here. Change into a robe-shirt thing, sit back, have a beer, gossip like a little girl, get a hot towel on your face, and get your up-do done right. Also, having someone else wash your hair after it gets cut feels amazing. The ladies were onto something with that. Highly recommend this place if youre someone looking for more than just a quick clipper cut.

Jacqueline at 18|8 Fine Mens Salon in The Woodlands, TX is one of the few best mens hairstylists that has cut and styled my hair. She is willing and capable of cutting and styling your hair to your liking or recommending a hairstyle that will look awesome based on your head and face shape. I’m at 18/8 for 2 years now and I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve tried several other salon’s and stylists before and can say that Jacqueline is by far the most professional stylist at 18/8. She always does an amazing job and knows exactly which style fits me best.3-4 weeks ago I’ve tried another salon at HEB Marketstreet as Jacqueline was fully booked and I had to travel overseas for business....worst decision ever for getting my hair done by someone else. Make sure you book 1 week in advance your appointment with Jacqueline

I highly recommend 18|8 and Jacqueline. She is always personable, professional, and understands my hair better than I do and what it takes to make it look good! The only suggestion I would make is to maybe set the temperature a few degrees warmer as it is sometimes a little bit cold in there. But other than that, again, I highly recommend 18|8 and especially Jacqueline!!

Jacqueline is the best!!! Been going to her for a while now and she’s the best stylist I’ve ever been to. Takes the time to listen to what you want, gives you a great cut, and then tips on how to fix it the way she does.

My first time at a fine salon instead of a regular Barber. At first I was concerned about the pricing, but then they gave me a very great explanation how it works. When I did the math for myself, I realized how much I was actually spending at regular Barbershops. I could save $30-$40 a year by joining 18/8, plus a better personalized service.The cut was awesome, instead of just a quick buzz, buzz with clippers at a cheap quality salon, my stylist did it the old fashioned way with a shampoo and shears. The do the moist shave with a blade to get the really fine hair. Hot towel treatment, neck and shoulder message, beard, eye-brow and nose hair treatments all make this a full service facility! All for the same annual price I would pay at a regular barber.I am looking forward to my every two week visits to this new location!

Blanca is an artist! The work she did on my hair and beard is amazing. She was very pleasant and made me feel important.from the moment I walked through the door. Highly recommend this talented artist, and the entire staff was on point. If you want a transformation, let Blanca work her magic!

18|8 is a great place for a man to relax, be pampered (shut up youd like it), and-oh yeah get a great haircut. The waiting area is more like a mens lounge with complimentary water, and coffee or ice cold beer.The decor inside says nothing but luxury. I have gotten my haircut here several times and despite the cut costing a bit more, it is well worth it. My cut is always perfect and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Appointments are easy to book online and I can always get a time with the stylist I prefer. Email and text reminders also help me to keep me from forgetting my appointment.

18 and 8 is by far the best place to get a haircut. I am a highschool and Brooke is great at cutting hair for young men. I also like 18 and 8 because it is very simple and the hair stylists really work hard to get you what you want. If I could add more stars I would! Come and check it out, its the best!

Ive been getting my hair cut here for almost 2 years now. As Im getting into my late 30s, my hair is unfortunately getting thinner in certain places. Jacqueline has done a great job to shape my hair in a way that my deficiencies are much less noticeable and given me some styling tips/techniques to make it look better. I feel like I look 5 years younger than I did with previous cuts.

Until moving to Houston, I had been going to the same Salon in San Antonio for 10 plus years. I am particular about my hair cuts and who cuts it, so seeking a new place out when we moved to Houston was not something I was looking forward to. We moved a few miles from 18|8 and have been going there for a little over a year. While going through a few stylists during my visits, all which were good, I would recommend Jacquline over all of them. She does not rush through the hair cuts, does great attention to detail and great on cut/style recommendations. Make going to get a hair cut easy and I know that ill always leave knowing the hair cut looks great! Make sure you call ahead and book as she stays busy, but you will not be disappointed!

Let me start this review stating that the staff was very friendly and professional. My issue was with the service. I went in for a beard trim and just wanted a clean up for a job interview, what I left with was about 2 months of damage to my beard. If you are a man that is grooming a beard you will understand this next statement. They cut my beard like the were trimming my hair. I left with a rounded beard with no defined edges. If you are looking for a hair cut Im sure they would do a very nice job but for a beard beyond the five oclock shadow look find a real barber. They didnt even straight razor my cheek lines.

By far the best haircut/haircut experience Ive ever had! The customer service and quality of the that haircut stylist Hannah provids is unmatched! Youll come here once and wonder why you havent been coming here youre whole life! I personally drive a hour and a half just to come here for my haircuts, book with Hannah as soon a possible you will not regret it I promise!!!

Little pricey but they do treat you well Cant speak to the skills of all the stylists but Melissa is great
