It was a perfect time to be there today! It was peaceful and quiet. I did not make an appointment but they were all friendly and kind. I was blessed today by my experience with all of the great smells i experienced during my pedicure . It took me into a garden for just a while! Thanks for the the moments of relaxation it was much needed peacemuch needed!

I never, ever write reviews, until today. First of all the lady ran my card without telling me what she was charging me. I’ve come here many times, and have not ever been overcharged for services. Today, I was charged an extra $5 for my dip nails, nothing special, no tip added to them, and when asked why I was charged extra (After my card was already ran), the lady said for the shape in a low voice.The shape was what I came in with, which was basic oval shape. This should be included in the regular cost; Shaping the nails is part of the service, as it was nothing out of the ordinary. I come here all the time and have never been overcharged for “shape.” When I pointed this out, the lady asked what I would be tipping and had me detract the tip amount by $5. Wow. It honestly is the principle of the matter and my mom who had the same exact services as me was charged less, so that how I realized I was being overcharged. I hope it was worth losing loyal customers by trying to be sneaky and stealing from them. Be careful.

Just had an amazing manicure from Cyndi. Ive been coming here for about a year, this is the second time Ive had Cyndi as my manicurist and shes been wonderful. She ensures that all of my cuticles are removed. Will be coming back, but will call ahead and make appointment with Cyndi.

It’s been almost 3 months and they’re still holding strong. I’d give 5 if the shape was better when I first got them. However after I got them taken off and painted... they always never let the paint dry on the nail and this ends up messing up the whole nail polish and it seems rushed when another customer comes in.. I feel I should receive and non rushed good service even if another person comes in because it’s quality and I tip.

I went in for a pedi and powder dip replacement and they were great. They had great enhanced cleaning protocols for COVID and were efficient at getting the job done. They communicated pricing and timing well and were very friendly with their service. Two hours in and out and Im relaxed with fly, fresh nails. Ill definitely be going back here when I need to get my nails redone.

The old lady says they always takes care of her, which in turn takes care of me! This was after 2 weeks... Still pretty in pink!

My nails are so hideous! I recommend you not to go here my nails look like flangs and they didn’t want to fix them ! Rate 1 - 5 is a 1 !

I went to City Nails & Spa today for the first time, I had been looking for a new salon in The Colony since moving here a year ago. I’ve tried several but none of them got it quite right. Amy did my nails at City Nails, she is amazing! She got the length, shape and color right the first time and in less than an hour. I highly recommend Amy, she takes time to listen to what you want and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re pleased before you leave.

I absolutley love this nail salon. My friend brought me here about a month or so ago, and I wont go anywhere else. The milk and honey pedicure was fabulous. Not to mention they put rose petals in the foot bath for you. Also I have to say Jenny is by far the best nail techs. I love how well she did my nexgen ombre nails. I cant wait to go back. Oh and did I mention they serve wine with your services! Yes please!

This is a hidden gem. I have been going here for over ten years. I live in Frisco now, I’ve tried a few other closer places to my house but I keep coming back here because of the price, quality and how sweet the ladies are here.

This is TRULY a quality place with great service and REALLY CLEAN AIR. I brought in two tweens and was so impressed how well the ladies catered to their age needs.

Rough with feet, impersonal, cheap wine

The service was terrible. She rushed my nails. I asked her to do an overlay and she clearly did not know how to do it. She did not make them the length i wanted them to be nor did she make them thick like they were suppose to be. Didnt file them even or paint them correctly. Then got mad when i pointed out what she did wrong lying and saying i said i liked what she did. I will not be back. I have paid for better nails for less money. They charged 30 dollars and only gave a five dollar discount while speaking in her native tongue. I wish i could post a picture of my nails for a clearer picture.

Although the set up was nice and very clean I am very unpleased with the customer service. I and 3 of my friends went to get pedicures and two of us were getting full sets and 2 of us were getting plan manicures. they set us all down apart from each other although there were 4 chairs in a row. instead they didnt even put us close enough to talk we had to text the whole time. by the end of our pedicures they had pulled one of the girls over to start putting her nails on and about 20 minutes later (although there were empty chairs) called the next to get their nails done. when she first set down they lady started on her nails and had kicked her foot with not meaning to of course, but she had looked down and just continued on her nails hardly paying attention. now i am stuck with very uneven nails and a toenail that the polish is clearly messed up on due to where the lady had kicked my foot. oh by the way they forgot about the other girls manicures, and got upset when we mentioned it because they new they would have to stay later. also people came in and left after getting the same thing we had gotten. i am sure they can do better than what i got today but unfortunately i didnt get to experience that. other than my nails being uneven i am please with the color and shape just wish they all looked the same. it was as though once it came within an hour of them closing they just didnt care about the quality and only cared about quantity. walking in at 3:50 and leaving at 7:30 was really just not very cool. might will give them another chance but will definitely be going in the morning so no one is rushing on getting my out by a certain time.

This place is ok if you you’re in a pinch. They don’t really scrub feet well. It’s like getting 75% of your pedicure. Nice people.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Don’t even expect to be greeted at the door with a smile from any of the nail techs... they shout “what do you need done?!” I was never offered a drink.. the nail tech that did my nails was not friendly and was extremely rough! My fingers were red for about an hour because of how rough she was... not even exaggerating! This place doesn’t understand that a lot of women go get their nails done and use that time to relax and have their “me time” don’t expect that when you come here.. the only reason I gave two starts is because for as much as she rushed through the whole thing my nails look at least a bit decent but I will not be coming back.

Asked for a variation of pink and whites, i.e. black tip instead of white. Specifically requested thick tips and for them to be squared off. The manicurist was hesitant when i requested the light sheer pink instead of the thick opaque pink they initially began to apply. The manicurist then proceeded to apply the initial pink to every nail and leave a very small amount of room for the tip. It was drying before i could even comment on how thin the tips would be this way. (Ive been getting my nails done for years and never seen it attempted this way. Unless the client is a regular and you know exactly what they want, nails should be done one at a time. This process is quicker, but it leaves MUCH to be desired.) She then proceeded to round the tips instead of squaring them. Im very much the type of person to squeeze a word in when i know sonething is possible to fix. This encounter was so fast, asking for better service wasnt possible. It was incredibly rushed and poorly executed. Manicures like this should take longer than 20 minutes for a reason.That being said, my experience might have been a one off, because the woman next to me, working on my friends nails, asked her questions and took time to make sure her nails looked precisely how she wanted.

I came for a pedicure and my nail artist did a great job and paid attention to detail. 3 stars because I was not offered a beverage but apparently they have soda, wine and water from what I saw other customers being served also there was an unpleasant mildewy smell near the pedicure chairs on the left side of the salon.

2018 will be my 10th year going to City Nails. I used to have my nails routinely done every 2 weeks and they were flawless each time. Ive had shellac, gel, nexgen and acrylic manicures, eyebrow wax, and each pedicure option they provide. Pedicure prices have gone up a little but that is to be expected, and they are worth it.They never miss a phone call so you can always call to make an appointment before you go. I will continue to use City Nails as long as they are open :)

HORRIBLE customer service!! The sign on the door clearly states the establishment is open until 8pm. I come in at 7:50pm requesting an eyebrow wax only, and the lady at the front desk says, sorry, were closed. Unbelievable! It takes approximately 3-5 minutes to do an eyebrow wax and they turned down a customer during their POSTED business hours. In the competitive world we live in, you would think good customer service would be vital to a successful business. Not this place!!

Thank you for our perfect nails! I know we went a little wild for my ten year olds valentine (her first nexgen) but our tech was so nice and made it really fun for her. My nails are perfection, and Ive been looking for someone to return to for 8 months. So glad to have found Kathy, my nexgen manicure is thin, even, and smooth, just how I like it. ❤️❤️❤️

City Nails in The Colony is a great little neighborhood nail salon. Ive been going there for over a year and the service is awesome. Rarely do I have to wait and the best part is Im usually in and out in about 60-70 mins. Im not one that likes to wait for a fill and pedicure for a long time. I love the pedi spas too. Very relaxing. Give it a shot if youre looking for a nail place thats easy and comfortable as well as really affordable.

I LOVE City Nail Spa. Ive been coming for several years now, and have been so relieved to have found ANN to do my Nexgen (dipping powder) nails. Although Ann is my regular nail technician, I can now ALSO vouch for the salon as a whole, as Ive now had my nails done by other technicians at this Salon with the same success. Here are the things I love:1) They consistently avoid over-sanding my nails when removing the old Nexgen. This is a LIFE SAVER because I do not take breaks in Nexgen, which can lead to some sensitivity. Even today, when I had a new nail technician, she was extra careful with my nails, and frequently asked to see if the sanding process was causing any discomfort.2) They can do your Nexgen nails thin and without any bumps/bubbles. They really take their time and dont skip any steps. I love that they are attentive to these details.3) Their pedicures feel amazing. Its so relaxing. If youre getting a mani and pedi, they will usually wrap your nails (with remover and foil) while you get your toes done, so you can fully relax (rather than doing both at the same time).Ask for Ann! Shes amazing!

1st time coming to get my nails done here. The customer service was not very good... the nail tech that I got seemed to be in a hurry to finish up and it definitely reflected on the outcome of my nails. It was very uncomfortable and awkward.

Workers in salon werent friendly, they didnt listen to what I wanted on toes, and nail polish smudged everywhere after waiting a long time to dry under U.V light. Old sticky nail polish bottles on shelf. Very poor job and acted like they didnt care just and wanted to hurry along to next customer. I wont be returning

Jenny at city nails did a horrible job on my nails. I got dipping powder I asked for them to be thick due to my line of work. I had to ask her to file them because they were bubble and just ugly .... she attempted to fix them but they were so ugly ....she got mad and told me to go somewhere else because she couldnt do them to my liking....(keep in mind I wasnt rude at all). I ask her if she was the only nail tech in the shop that did dipping powder she said no. I asked her why would she tell me to go somewhere else when it may be a tech there that would do a better job at my nails then she did. They didnt charge me for the nails and they are still ugly. She left out the door and one of the techs offered to give me the owners number and not leave this comment but people should not spend hard earned money at a place where it is not appreciated.

Anne was awesome and did such a great job on my Nexgen nails. Very professional and polite.($45 for Nexgen ombré with tips)

I did not have good service here. I was given a gift certificate by my husband. When I went in they were rude, fast and cut my finger. I did not even get a sorry or anything....just looked at it wiped the blood away and kept going. They knew the money was already there and did not even try for customer service.

Sloppy gel polish application looks very unprofessional. Polish on the cuticle and skin around the nail. Also, pedicure was pointless as she scrubbed each foot for 5 seconds and didn’t even scrub the toes. Will not be back.
