I was very frustrated today with my experience. I had used Scottsdale Air & cooling before. They had come and done a good job. Today, the technician showed up and said my roof was too tall and he could not work on a tile roof. This is despite the fact that they had been here before and worked on my roof. I had taken the day off to be here for them and they just said no and left. Why they agreed to the appointment if they had these concerns, I do not know. They really left me in a lurch. I will not be calling them again.

Scheduled Maintenance visit today. My technician Scott Baker gave me a call to let me know he was on his way. He gave me ample notice, as it gave me time to get home. We have 2 units that were due for maintenance. One is about 10 years old and one is 1 year old, both from Scottsdale Air. I am not familiar with what all is involved with the maintenance, however Scott spent a good amount of time on both units and their respective air handlers. When his work was done, he reviewed what he found, answered my multitudinous questions with patience AND what I really appreciated was the extra time he took to rinse the coils off on both units. He said they were dirty, which would likely affect their cooling and efficiency. THAT really resonated with me. Let me tell you why.... because another company used in the past, suggested a coil wash and provided a $$ quote, for next time. It may have been reasonable. I appreciate my technician going the extra mile. That is customer service and I appreciate feeling that I can trust the company I hire, more over the face of the company....their technicians. I cannot say enough how great my service was from Scottsdale Air. I worked with Eric, who did an excellent job of figuring out what my issue was with getting my house cooled off. He didnt try and sell me into a larger unit like a few other companies had tried to do, instead he got me the right setup. I highly recommend Scottsdale Air and cant thank them enough for getting me fixed up.

These folks are the best. They replaced the original A/C system in our house but not before they did a complete assessment of the insulation and original installation. There were gaps in the attic insulation. They took care of it. There was just a single inlet for the original system that meant it made a LOT of noise. They ran a second inlet and now its quiet as a mouse. The original duct work was too narrow. They replaced it. We now have a dual speed compressor (more efficient) AND 4(!) wireless thermostats so the bedroom can stay nice and cool at night but we can leave the other 3 zones off. Saves money! Since the installation about 5 years ago, theyve taken are of annual maintenance in the most professional manner. A+ for Scottsdale Air!

I would recommend Scottsdale Air every single time. Back in August, my upstairs unit was not working, I called Scottsdale Air as they were the ones who had done our initial installation and they had done a great job. Dave came and gave a quote. While we were deciding on a day that worked for us, the a/c came back on by itself, so we ended up not getting the repair done. But this past week, the unit stopped working again. When I called Scottsdale Air, Jacob the manager said he would honor the original quote. Dave was the one who came again and instead of just going ahead and installing what we had discussed previously, he did another diagnostic, found a leak, replaced the coil, all at no additional cost inspite of the size of the additional job. The initial job which was to take 2 hours ended up taking almost 6 because he had to go pick another part up, call another technician to help him, and do extra work.Not only that, he made sure that he wore booties inside the house because he noticed that we dont wear shoes inside the house. Every single time he had to go in and out of the house (which was a lot ), he would take them off, put them back on. The Scottsdale Air team is great, especially Dave - all about the customer, very fair in their dealings and you could see that they take pride in the quality of work they do.

Eric did a fine job explaining what needed to be done to repair our AC unit. He did the job quickly and neatly with no issues. He was pleasant and courteous and arrived ahead of schedule which was a plus for us. I would definitely recommend this company.

Scottsdale Air was so helpful in getting our air turned on quickly during our remodel. We were having issues with the drywall taking awhile to dry due to cooler weather and they came out with two hours notice to get it warming up the house and help with our construction timeline. We live across the street from Scott, one of their Service managers, and he helped us decide to go with Scottsdale Air (after we got 3 other bids) Eric Johnson came over to talk to us, and as a sales person myself, I was prepared for the hard sell. Imagine my surprise, when he asked where the attic access was & got up in the attic and poked around, made notes, took pictures. I had an idea of what level of HVAC I wanted to go with (as cost was a concern). I had done my own research prior, & wasnt really interested in the high end stuff because I thought for sure I wouldnt get my money back. He did load calcs, listened to the concerns we had about hot spots, and went over equipment choices, available rebates, energy consumption (my biggest concern), helped me do cost comparisons, and answered every question I had. I have knowledge of the industry based on my career, and he was completely respectful of it. He spent a lot of time looking to solve the issues we had, without adding additional expense (which we thought would happen). He is very knowledgeable, and is a master at his job. He didnt oversell or try to upsell anything we werent interested in. After listening to our concerns. he came up with some good ideas, which were implemented and so far, they are working out perfectly! With our old unit, we would have turn the volume up on the TV about 10 notches, every time it kicked on. Our new unit is so quiet, I have to go look and see if its still running. The installers were great too. They were respectful to me, and to my home. They cleaned up and avoided messes if they could. They explained our new thermostat, and filter changing, the app for the Tstat (and I love apps and gadgets!) etc. I was very impressed. Im 100% thrilled, and look forward to saving on my energy bill. Our 12 yr old A/C system was going downhill fast, and Scottsdale Air was able to quickly put together a plan to replace it with a new high efficiency unit before we experienced a total failure of the system. We have had a number of good experiences with Scottsdale Air. Each time, the technician arrived on time. He clearly explains what work is needed.We had a pre-summer maintenance check of the AC units. The technician remembered the previous visit and made sure to review what had been done.Most recently, the company installed missing vents. They are very honest, honored the quote they gave us -- even when the job became more complicated then they had originally thought. We greatly appreciate the good service.

Our A/C unit is under warranty and went out last night. Dave came out this morning and was able to get a complicated problem fixed in one visit. A part had to be replaced from the manufacturer. Dave took the time to pick up the part, comes straight back and get everything fixed. It took more time than most service calls, but he kept me up to date throughout the process. On top of that, he was also able to replace the filters in the air handlers and do maintenance on our other unit even though I had not scheduled it ahead time. Thank you for your hard work Dave! This is a very friendly and professional operation, including the sales representative, the office receptionist/scheduler and the installers. Reviews that were read prior to signing the contract turned out to be accurate. We had 4 contractors visit and write proposals. We had to request that 3 of the 4 contractors return in order to get an apples to apples comparison. Scottsdale Air Heating & Cooling was the only one to come back and make an actual on-site inspection to determine if the one quote from a competitor was a necessary add-on. They agreed and gave a significantly better bid. They also met our scheduling expectations. We are anticipating that the annual maintenance will be as professional as well.

Had our yearly tune-up. As usual technician was professional and informative. Answered all of our questions. Technician made suggestions but not once was high pressure or alarmist. Appreciate good customer service. We are in the market for a new system and will definitely make Scottsdale Air our go to supplier.

A couple of months ago we purchased a Trane 4 ton variable speed system from Scottsdale Air Heating and Cooling, and we couldnt be happier. The installation of the new system was flawless. The employees were very professional. The system is so quiet you hardly hear it running. This weekend with the temperatures over 110, the system ran great. The house was very comfortable. Scott, a technician who has serviced my unit before and who I trust, came to do a simple check-up on the heater. The unit ran as an a/c unit a couple of weeks ago and as a heating unit last March, so I expected a simple trip.I was wrong, as Scott began, the u it would not work. No heating, no blowing...literally nothing. He immediately assessed the problem as a bad board. He did additional testing and learned the motor for the blower was also dead. The unit is 9 years old...thank goodness.Nine years ago, Mike, the owner visited me to discuss a new unit. When he showed me the numbers, I saw a line for $2000. When I asked what it was, he said it was a warranty. I normally don’t but warranties, but did so this time. Thank goodness. The warranty covered both parts and labor. The service to replace the parts was free.I was amazed, but Scottsdale Air got parts for a 9 year old unit the next day. Scott returned the next day and did the work. I am always appreciative because Scott does not mind my watching and asking questions.As a reflection of. Scott’s consistent commitment to superior customer service, after completing the repairs, Scott ensured both the heater and /c worked.I am now ready for the winter.Scottsdale Air is not perfect, but they “hit it out of the park” for me this time. The only thing that saved this from being a 1 star review is the kindness and friendliness of the technicians themselves and the owner himself showing up to the first problem. To begin Russ - one of the salesmen - came to my home and measured for the installation of my new Unit. I was extremely explicit with the fact that i had concerns about the size of the unit going in and the space available. He assured me it would not be an issue. The day of the install comes and the installers also show some concern.. they called out Russ to work with them(who never approached me with the issue when i was there the entire time) and they shoved the thing in.. bent to hell.. the techs did a good job of mostly unbending it and getting into place.. but the box that holds the A-frame chiller was still leaking like sieve. Russ and the Owner, Mike, showed up to investigate after i told Russ i wasnt happy. Mike agreed it wasnt right, there solution was to put in a smaller less efficient coil(not exactly to my liking as i would have rather put in a completely different unit at that point).. the smaller coil meant id lose my power company rebate for SEER rating.. they did covered the rebate loss of out pocket. However, when i got the final invoice they have over charged me. Upon showing them they agreed to refund the difference but the entire process was not my best experience.

A competitor came out to troubleshoot my A/C twice last year. Each time they found things for me to buy, but never fixed the issue. Scottsdale air found the root cause in 5 minutes. And the repair was quick and cheaper than the other company. Highly recommend.

Once again, the team at Scottsdale Air came through big time for me. Called them at 10am today and they were at the house by 1pm. Completed the job at a very reasonable price. They are my go to people.

Scottsdale Air has excellent office help and expert field technicians. Our tech (we always ask for Scott) diagnoses the issues with our units... carefully informs us of his findings and what the fix is... and takes care of the problem or maintenance. Having Scott come by is like having a visit from a good friend a couple of times a year. We love this company and would give them an even higher rating if it were offered.

Ever since they bought out the company that I bought my AC with the serviced it under warranty and always treated me like I bought it from them. The warranty ran out in 2013 Ive continued to use them. They arent the cheapest, but they will go the extra mile if theres an issue and not overcharge you then. Id much rather have my company be the best instead of the cheapest, especially AC in Phoenix.

We had a tricky issue with water leaking from our air conditioning due to it being installed by a subpar company that was not Scottsdale Air. The technicians that came to due the repairs were on time, friendly and knowledgable. Explained exactly what they were doing and why. Pricing also seemed fair based on work completed. I plan to use again for tune ups in the future.

Ive used Scottsdale Air for 5 years and always been pleased with the quality of their work and with their professionalism. Their technician, Scott, did our most recent tune up and was excellent.

Long story short – our master bedroom was a previous owner addition, in order to get it cool or warm enough we had to be too hot or too cold in the main part of the house.Saw a Mitsubishi ductless unit at Home depot thought that this might be a good option... had the HD guy come and give us an estimate.. Was not impressed at all, Went to the Mitsubishi website found Scottsdale Air listed as a diamond dealer,Steve came out, he was friendly and helpful and his price was $500.00 less then Home Depot. Tech Bob did the install a few days later- Obviously not the first time he has done this.It’s be a few months since it’s been installed and we are seeing about a $50.00 a month energy saving in the summer time and we are very comfortable in our master bedroom for the first time - True professionals all the way.

Allen was here at my house today on time and even called my cell to give me a 30 minute heads up.....so very rare these days. He explained the details of the service done on both of my units and suggested a coil cleaning for one of them since it lacked a filter (shame on me) I have used this company for years and they truly know how to service their customers......They never disappoint......Kathleen B

Technician was polite and cooperative. Put on booties over his shoes. Two hour repair accomplished in time and cost was as advised. Have used Scottsdale Air for years and will continue to do so when needed.

Scottsdale Air feedback:What sold us initially on using Scottsdale Air for the replacement of our Heat Pump was Dan Delgado...Sales Consultant in March 2018. His experience as an installer and service tech brought a sense of confidence to know that the job would be done right.To add “icing-on-the cake” the installers (Ev and Mikey) assigned to our job were excellent! I was actually present, within earshot, for 90% of the installation time and found both of them individually highly technically competent and worked well together when teamwork was needed.Our most recent experience with Scottsdale air was on September 19, 2019. We had a service call from Scott Baker who is outstanding! He diagnosed the problem, consulted with Jacob on the telephone, and had a solution in minutes. Scott replaced the E 30 flex board that was under warranty and it solved our problem.

My experience with Mike and his team were truly professional and very helpful. I have not dealt with another company that goes the extra mile like Scottsdale Air Heating and Cooling. I was having serious problems with our air conditioning and thermostat installed by another BIG known company which apparently could not be fixed. When my AC went out I panicked. First, we called our home warranty people. AC worked for less than a day. In the middle of the summer I couldnt waste anymore time with the warranty people. I asked around and a friend gave me a contact at Scottsdale Air. Russ Byrum. Russ came by the same afternoon and climbed into my sweltering crawl space. He cleaned out a clogged pipe from my drip pan under my air handlers. He showed me the mud and sludge the warranty guy failed to clean. He also told me that unfortunately the fix would last awhile but that my units were old. They were. Most of my neighbors recently had to replace theirs. I made the decision to replace both of my ac units and Russ was helpful and very knowledgeable about the products that were available to me. I did my price comparisons and Scottsdale Air was fairly priced. Russ wasnt pushy - rather very patient and answered all my questions (I had a lot as this was a big purchase). The install was about a week later and went seamlessly. Russ followed up to make sure I was pleased with the service. I had questions about my new thermostats about a week later and again, Russ was helpful and patient.

Courteous and friendly and reasonably priced. I have used Scottsdale Air Heating & Cooling for years to maintain an HVAC A/C unit in a rental house in North Scottsdale. They are professional and are able to schedule preventive maintenance within a few days.

We recently purchased our first home in August 2016. After running the AC all summer and having it work great, we were surprised when the heat didnt work - especially after our house had just passed with flying colors through two inspections prior to closing. Scottsdale Air came out to diagnose the situation. They found that the gas valve at the unit had been switched off but that was not all they included in their write up. They basically told us that the entire duct system was incorrect and needed to be replaced. They told us that the system was unsafe to operate until the repairs were made as it was a fire hazard. They wanted to send someone out to quote us for a massive repair.Naturally, we called our realtor, home warranty company and the company that conducted both inspections. The home warranty company provided a full diagnosis of our unit and duct system and had complete opposite findings - we needed to replace filters and turn on the gas valve. Everything else was running extremely well and properly - including the duct system. The inspection company looked back at their notes and stated the exact same findings with regards to the heating and cooling unit. They ended their email to us with this:Scottsdale Air’s writeup about problems with the heating and cooling system are false and an attempt to sell a new duct installation to the homeowner. The Scottsdale Air writeup stating: “Furnace is not safe to operate until all issues are resolved” is irresponsible.My husband and I are appalled at the disgusting attempt to sell a new duct installation to someone who does not need a replacement whatsoever. If you are looking for a company that is going to give you honest reports and conduct their work with moral integrity... Scottsdale Air is NOT the company you want to work with.

We discovered a lot of water around the AC interior unit. I immediately called Sdale Air. They arrived within 3 hours. Scott, the technician, accessed the situation as a clogged condensate drain. With some extra effort, he was able to clear it out. Scott inspected the rest of the unit, communicated his findings in clear and understandable details. The inspection and problem was solved in approx. 45 minutes. I was very satisfied with the entire process... the initial phone call to completion!

Billing is electronic, and you can pre-pay for maintenance at a discounted rate.They also installed my new Lennox, and arranged 0% financing. Great company. Highly recommended.

It’s not often I am impressed enough to write a review about a service provider. When I needed expert advice about HVAC ducting for our room addition, I called Scottsdale Air. First, I spoke with Robin. When I wasn’t sure how to articulate information I was looking for, she somehow knew exactly what to ask me so I could further explain it. Within an hour, the owner, Mike, called me and offered to drop by to take a look at the layout of our addition. The next day, he spent nearly an hour at our house going over the plans, explaining how to determine which size HVAC system I needed and answering all of my questions – I had a lot! He explained what I needed to do to maximize efficiency of the system and showed me where to install all of the registers. I could not have done it without him and I was impressed with his knowledge and willingness to spend so much time helping me. That kind of service is hard to find these days! I highly recommend Scottsdale Air to anyone considering a new HVAC or needing help with repairs. FIVE STARS!

We knew when we bought our house a couple of years ago that the HVAC unit (original to the house built in 1998) was on borrowed time. So, of course, the heater kicks the bucket on the one cold weekend we have here in Phoenix...and why not the same weekend as we have family in town from the polar-vortexed midwest?Have no fear - Scottsdale Air is here! We called on Thursday afternoon and had a technician out (ON TIME) at 8:00 am the next day. Dave was professional, pleasant and HONEST about the most cost-effective way to move forward. We agreed it would be cheaper to just replace the whole thing and he had a sales rep at our house that afternoon. Russ Byrum (sales rep) is the most patient man on the planet. And smart. This guy knows his stuff. My husband and I are first time homebuyers and we had no idea what we were doing. Russ laid everything out for us and didnt try to oversell beyond our budget. This dude is a ROCK STAR and will not steer you wrong.By Tuesday, we had the AMAZING install team at our house (Please note: they were ready to come out on Saturday, but we couldnt make it work on our end before that because of work. Russ even offered to bring out space heaters to our home so we didnt freeze over the weekend).Picture this: our HVAC system is half-outside/half-in-an-attic-crawl-space-in-a-garage that doesnt look like a human being should be able to fit in there. I dont know anything about this stuff and even I could tell you this task looked impossible. But for Jaime and Eulogio (I hope I spelled that right)? No problem. They worked quickly, quietly and CLEANLY - wrapping the whole project in about seven hours. It was AMAZING. I cannot describe how much respect I have for these two guys. THANK YOU.Bottom Line: while this is the first time Ive had the opportunity to use this companys services, my uncle and parents have been using them for decades; now theyve earned one more lifelong customer. First I will tell you that this was our second unit from this company. The first Trane unit lasted almost 18 years, this could not of been possible without the yearly checkup service the company provides.
