So my very first hair color experience .. couldnt have been better... Fantastic Sams made my day. VERY PROFESSIONAL and super kind. I had an appointment with Emily, and she is professional, hard working and knows what she is doing. She made it a point to listen to my requirements and give good advice based on her experience. Given that my hair is jet black and very voluminous, it took over 2.5 hrs, and she was nothing but kind and patient.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!!The place is clean and staff is friendly. I had a good experience here getting my hair colored. They were able to get me in that day, which I appreciate as I tend to do things more last minute. My stylist did a great job on my color and seemed very experienced.The prices are pretty reasonable. I would recommend Fantastic Sams.

I really hate to have to rate and review this place like this because the girl named Ariel who cut my hair was friendly and we did make good conversation and I do understand that she’s pregnant but I am not happy with my hair. I looked at it before I left and told her it looked fine and that was my mistake but it seemed ok at first but when I got home and started trying to style it I noticed it’s super choppy and uneven and first I went in because I had an uneven cut that I was trying to fix but I still left with another bad cut. Ariel seemed like a really nice girl but I really don’t think she has much experience with hair cutting. I was kinda shocked that she asked if I wanted a blow dry but said it’s another charge, styling is one thing that should be extra but shouldn’t a blow dry be included. But really I think Ariel needs more practice and should start little and maybe not on someone like me trying to get a layered bob that’s all im just not happy with my hair and I am upset that I now have to pay Another place to fix another bad haircut yet again. I wish I could get my money back or something but please know this place is good but they need more practice.

Jose was amazing today and squeezed me in right away as a walk-in after having a horrible experience at greatclips across the street. He was extremely helpful and professional! Jose Bautista is one of the best stylist I have ever had and I typically frequent high-end luxury salons. He did my blowout and lasted an entire week with very little touch up required. The hair trim was also right on par with luxury salons. Going back next week for another blowout for SURE!

I have never done a review on a business before, but wanted to write this review for Fantastic Sams and Jose Bautista. I went to Jose last year to get my haircut. I have lived in Tampa my whole life and never knew there was a Fantastic Sams at that location. I found out about him by doing a search for salons near me and Fantastic Sams was one of the ones that showed up on Google. I read the reviews and the reviews on Jose were really good, so I decided to call and went in to talk to him. Everyone has gotten a bad haircut and I got one last year on my birthday and explained that to Jose. I talked to him told him and showed him pictures of how I wanted my hair done. I have naturally curly and wavy hair. He was so very nice and listened to me and explained what would work and wouldnt and suggested what I should do. I was so nervous, because I had been growing my hair out from that bad haircut back on my birthday and he was so wonderful to take the time to talk to me before he cut it. I cant say enough about Jose, I have been to him twice now and he is always so very kind and down to earth and the way he cuts my hair is exactly how I wanted it done, I was really happy with how he cut it. Its so refreshing to get a stylist who really listens to how you want your haircut and he always tells me and shows me what will and wont work with my hair. Jose is amazing at what he does!! Everyone there is so nice and if you ever need a haircut or stylist, I highly recommend Jose Bautista. I recently received a very bad haircut and dye job that left me with VERY uneven hair and a chemically burned scalp. I called up Fantastic Sams for a quick fix and was so pleasantly surprised! I spoke with David first who was so sweet but was booked solid. I asked him for anyone else who could just cut a straight line. He assured me everyone there did great work and could definitely cut in a straight line. He gave me Anitas name and Im so glad he did. She did an amazing job!! I told her everything that had happened just a few days before. She was so nice and so gentle with my very tender scalp since it is burned like a horrible sunburn. She must have checked my hair no less than 5 times to make sure that everything was even, which sounds like a basic thing but its been years since my regular stylist had done this. And she had me check it before I left to make sure I was happy with it. I really cant thank Anita enough for doing such a great job on my hair and will definitely be back to see her!Also while I was there I was looking at the other ladies hair that was getting done and they looked beautiful! This really is a great salon!

I’m visiting my family from out of town and was in desperate need of a haircut...my mother suggested that I go to “her guy “ Jose, I was inpatient and just went to the first walk-in salon that I saw....needless to say my hair was butchered. So I listened to my mom (as I should have done to begin with) and we called Jose. Best decision ever! Jose has been cutting my familys hair for YEARS! He is always ready for us when we come in. He is friendly and really listens to what you want. He does an AMAZING job with my boys ages 5, 10, and 12. He is also GREAT with my 17 year old daughter who loves to experiment with many different short/edgy cuts and styles. Jose was great. I called and he told me to bring my daughter in immediately. He was knowledgeable about the type of cut she wanted and knew what changes needed to be made to achieve the look she wanted. He engaged with my daughter and made her part of the process rather than deferring to me for all the decisions. When we got home my daughter raved that it was the best haircut ever, and that she finally had the v-cut she wanted.

I have been getting my haircut by Vicky Grayson for over 10 years. She also cuts and colors my wifes hair. She does a fantastic job! It is so hard to find a stylist these days that does a great job and is also pleasant to be around, she is that and more. I’ve been going to this Fantastic Sams for over 3 years and seeing Jose. He is absolutely wonderful. The first time I went in to see him was due to a store bought hair dye disaster. He fixed my hair and I’ve have seen him ever since. He not only does my hair but he also cuts my husbands hair and our 3 kids. Jose does and amazing job on all of us. He has such a wonderful attitude and a smile on his face every time we are there.

Very friendly service, only had to wait about 15 minutes for a walk in which is really fast in my opinion. I was so scared to try somebody new since the normal place I go to is closed because they were all on vacation, I read other great reviews on this location so I went in for a simple wash and cut, the lady was beyond nice and did a great job on my hair which is super thick and curly. Definitely will return.
