I honestly cant show these guys enough support. I am very grateful to have landed with RKL Diesel Performance when my truck was throwing contribution codes. Skyler was my main point of contact throughout the process and there isnt a better face to represent the company. He made sure to update/communicate with me often throughout the process. They got my truck right in for a diagnostic run down. Ryan and the crew know all things diesel inside and out. It would have been easy for these guys to run up my bill and throw unnecessary parts at the job (or a whole new engine as other shops suggested). They were thorough and detailed in what needed to be done to get me back on the road. It felt as if they were just taking care of a long time friend with a broken truck the whole time. I was expecting to have my truck sitting for weeks but Ryan had my truck torn down, fixed and back up within a week. The service was all around the best Ive been given. These guys deserve nothing but praise and they have earned a customer for life! Regardless of if you want to gain some performance on your rig, need routine maintenance or a full out engine/transmission repair, you wont be disappointment bringing your truck to RKL. RKL is absolutely fantastic to work with. They know their stuff inside and out. At the end of the day, they really just care about giving great service both to your truck and to you. Case and point: My truck blew a head gasket. They were great to quickly diagnose the issue, help me understand the timeline to get it fixed, and deliver on time. Further, today our headlight on our VW Bug fell out on the way to pick up my truck. Upon mentioning our issue, they walked out and helped us fix the headlight (even when it was more complicated than it initially appeared) and didnt hesitate to fix an electrical issue as well. Quality work. Quality service. Would recommend their shop every time.

A friend suggested that my boyfriend and I take the 09 Ford F-350 that we bought back i April to RKL and boy am I glad we did! Its hard to find a good mechanic shop nowadays and rkl is one of those, the guys at the front desk are the actual mechanics and they were super nice, I never had an issue with rkls work.

Went in to get some maintenance work done and they did a great job. They had a fair price and got it done very quick. Overall excellent experience.

I’ve had Rkl’s stage 2 47re trans for over 3 years now. Trans has been awesome! When they installed the trans there was some wiring issues which caused a delay so they delivered the truck to me over an hour away from their shop. I highly recommend these guys, Ryan knows his stuff when it comes to building a trans. Ryan took the time to call me about a week after I got the truck back to make sure everything was good and that I was happy. The first service was free. These guys aren’t afraid to stand behind their work.

I was initially very impressed with their service and how they took care of me however upon further inspection I found that the parts of on my truck werent the ones I paid for. (they told me after I asked that they were the only ones they could get but they didnt freely give that information up front) After that i spent months reaching out trying to get them to make it right if on the few occasions they did answer or call me back I always got the run around or some bs. Finally months later they said they had the stuff and could get me on the the schedule and that it would cost $200 in labor plus the materials. I told them that I didnt think it was fair to have to pay a second time just to finally get what I paid for the first time. They said they would see what they could do and call me right back. Low and behold they never did now they dont answer any of my phone calls. Dont waste your money or your time here.

If 0 stars was an option, they would definitely be a 0. Initially Ryan is ok to talk with, until it’s time to get your truck back and he ghosts on you and no one working there can tell you where your truck is. Ultimately we did not get a fraction of what was paid for and working with the courts for resolution. (Case filed 2nd District in Farmington)

This place is awesome! I’ve taken my 2015 Durmax to them twice and they did a great job! I got referred to this place by a friend and I would recommend it as well!

I admit I was skeptical going here after reading reviews about customer service and so forth but I gave them a shot anyway and I’m glad I did. I thought Ryan and Gabe we’re knowledgeable and they treated me great. Truck was finished when they said it would be done and it runs like I hoped it would. More than fair on pricing to.

I have used RKL now for two years, with nothing but great service.I live in San Deigo and drive to Utah once a month for work, it took a leap of faith to use a Mechanic that is hundreds of miles away from my home town . He does all my schedule maintenance and preventive maintenance at a more than fair price and in a timely manner.I have put 125,000 miles on my truck my goal is 400,00 /500,000 out of this engine. With Ryan’s experience and knowledge It won’t be a problem!

Nothing to say but great things! Using Ryan’s knowledge for diesel performance it was easy to decide what I wanted done with my truck. Dropped it off with him, got it back and I couldn’t be happier with the work! Great power better gas mileage 5 stars from me.

Terrible customer service, way over paid for a simple diagnostic, never called to let me know they where finished with the truck, I had to call them a day later. They told me they would diagnose and pinpoint the issue and never did, very vague and simplified in finale diagnose, my little fix it app gave as much info. as they did and it was dirty bucks. They where $225.00. I asked them a simple question if what sensor needed to be replaced and they said they werent sure. No thanks would never go back.

These guys quoted me a very good price for doing my lift pump and transmission maintenance very good service. Fast and precise no long waits had my truck done the same day.

Heard about RKL from a friend. I had just bought a used truck so took it to Ryan and had him look it over and replace what need to be. He was able to find/use low mileage used parts instead of trying to force brand new pricey parts. He was honest and fair on pricing. I was definitely that annoying customer always bugging him but he was always friendly and professional. They definitely make sure you’re getting the best product. Will be back for sure! Ive read many of the same stories as ours in these reviews. This place is terrible! Save yourself some pain and suffering and go somewhere else. They told us Feb 12 to bring it in and theyd have it done by end of week and quoted $6500. We didnt hear back for 10 days and even then it was not done. They stated were needed a new case because ours was cracked but it would be done in 2 days. Now price is up to $8300. 2 weeks later truck was finally done only to get it home with two transmission leaks. Took it back in 9 days later they tell us its good. We pick it up only to have it break down before were got it home!! That was 13 days ago and still havent heard anything. No answer, no machine to leave messages, no updates.... today is April 9 and still no truck. havent spoken to them since the 4th, they told us theyd call with an update, still nothing. RKL Diesel built the transmission in my RAM that is behind a built Cummins and is my daily driver. I pull a 5th wheel and like to use the power often, the transmission does not skip a beat. I have been very impressed with these guys so far. Took my truck in for an issue and they ended up fixing other issues for me they found for free with parts from a used engine they had (had a bad tensioner for my serpentine, but they discovered my harmonic balancer was going out).Had them check out an ABS sensor on my front wheel, and discovered that my wheel hub/bearing was bad--it caused the wheel to grind off the head of the sensor (didnt surprise me, I recently replaced the other side). They said they could do my brakes while they were there for just the cost of the parts. I ended up adding that on too.With my latest issue, they recommended that instead of bringing in my truck and taking my money, to just monitor things for a while--which is what I plan on doing. It may be a non-issue.I feel like these guys are very honest and know their stuff. Glad to have them so close. They are very busy, which I think is a telling sign that others think so too.Thanks RKL!

My Moms tow rig transmission started acting funny. These guys went out of the way explaining all the possibilities and taking a look in a bind. They were honest in the work done and upfront about all scenerios.

These guys build a great transmission but their customer service is absolutely terrible. They had my truck for over a month. they wouldnt answer their phone most of the time. I couldnt get a straight answer on when my truck would be done. I had some issues with the transmission slipping out of gear at first and when i spoke to one of the OWNERS, he treated me like i was an idiot. I ended up just paying to take my truck somewhere else. I do not recommend RKL.

Ryan and Trevan treated me right. They thoroughly analyzed my issue and offered me all the solutions. They are not out to make a buck, they could have fixed a more expensive problem, but they were honest and fair to deal with. Very timely service too.

Best diesel mechanic youll find! If youre looking for auto repair or to muscle up your truck and give it real power then RKL Diesel is where you need to take your truck. The prices are fair and the service is really fast. I have had RKL fix a few things on my truck and they always do a great job.

Terrible Let me WARN you it was terrible for us I’m not sure 🤔 if this was an accident from the employee or if they just purposely skip step when fixing your car but we took our car in and two weeks later are car doesn’t run at all and now we have to buy whole new engine and the other auto shop found out what they did wrong to our car!!!! It’s not worth shelling out money here it cost us a life 😫!!!!!!!!!!

Place is does a ok job as far as there mechanics but the customer service is horrible and wait time aswell. I hate when they tell me a day and time and they take longer way longer because they dont give your truck full attention they do a little on yours and a little on another one. Pay the extra money and take it to desiel brothers.

Ryan and his staff are the best around. I have been to all the big shops up north and the service I received from Ryan tops them all. I had them install an EFI live chip and FASS fuel system. Before he performed the work he explained to me all the different details of adding high performance parts to my truck. After the installation was completed he took the time to sit with me in the truck and explain everything in the programmer. I also have had him service the trans and engine. Every time he has had my truck he has been really good about explaining the work they are doing and communicating with me every step of the process. I don’t think there is anyone around that knows as much about Diesel engines as he does.UPDATE 11-1-18Two weeks ago I had RKL replace the injectors in my 2003 Duramax. The price was more than fair and they were able to get it done in time for the Deer Hunt. The truck runs better than it did when it was new, I couldnt be happier. A big thanks to Ryan and his crew at RKL. Best diesel shop around!

These guys are a bunch of liars. I brought my truck to them to do an EGR delete. They were happy to charge me. They didnt tighten up my exhaust. Broke my down pipe 3 days later. It costed me an additional $690 from someone else. They said it wasnt warranty and said they could fix it for $1100. My bother brought his truck there for the same issue against my warning. He had the same issue. But what ever they did, they caused his head gasket to leak. Once again its not a warranty thing but $6200 to repair it. Dont ever bring anything to them. Even a Tonka truck. They will break that too.

Ryan came through again. I had a 6.0 Power Stroke with a stuck injector. He tested my injectors, replaced those that were bad and did it amazingly quick and was extremely fair in his price. If you have a diesel-there is no other shop you need to take your vehicle to but his.

Best decision I made to let Ryan and his crew at RKL work on my 2 trucks,, got what I wanted performance wise and customer service the best,,,, love my high performance transmission... turbo set up and my tuners on both trucks....

Its hard to find a local shop that will give you phone time to answer DIY project related questions. Trevan was knowledgeable and helpful with my very specific questions. I wouldnt hesitate to call or use these guys in the future.

Best work Ive ever had done these guys are awesome Ryan is awesome to work with.

They were good at first but when I had some issues with the tune and needed some parts for a display they stopped answering the phone. I called for 2 weeks different times each day no answer

Terrible place to take your vehicles. They had my truck for over 5 weeks to replace a VP44 pump after they told me they could get it right in on the phone. They told me it was installed and just needed to be wired up. Had my wife go over to get the VP44 core and it hadnt even been taken off the truck. Told me they changed the oil, but my oil filter was not new. Wiring looks terrible, didnt hook back up my fuel pressure gauge, and also didnt fix the oil leak I was charged for. Terrible customer service. Now im taking my truck to Gillette diesel in Bluffdale.

This is a shady business, they have had my truck for over a year and haven’t moved forward. If there was an explanation of what was going on it would be one thing, but the only explanation is they took my money to finish other projects, and now can’t or won’t finish mine. I don’t know how RKL is still in business.
