I JUST bought 4 brand new tires from Sam’s Club which is about 6 blocks away from my houseI literally have had them for 3 days,, But as I was coming home from Wawa’s last night and the way the road is set up it’s a lot easier to drive through the parking lot of Whole Foods(which was closed)than to have to drive to N.Dale Mabry and d a U-turn…..Anyways with my Lucky JuJu I was driving along and actually ran over a Bolt!! Not a nail or screw-This Big Bolt I guess was in their lot because I could feel myself run this thing over! I got out and looked at it to see if this really just happened to me..Next thing I hear this SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sound-The air was coming out so fast -I jumped back in my SUV and drove the 4 BLOCKS home as fast as I legally could.Then this morning-The whole brand new $179 tire was gone and all you could see was rim!! Ok so long story short because I got the Member’s Plus membership at Sam’s, I get 3 years of Roadside assistance and they were great .I called the number and I guess they contract who’s available out and they came and got my suv and drove it to the Sam’s mechanic/garage department and dropped it off and gave the manager the key so that can replace it at 10:00 am tomorrow morning when they open!!!

They said offer 24/7 service.. I called at 4am, stranded on the Bridge, they laughed and told me to call back around 9am.. They use to honor the 24/7 Working hours but I guess not anymore..

I did not use steps towing service because the guy said he would call me back and they never even called back they make too much money with I guess the police departments and big jobs they dont care about the little people anyway I never even got the return call that I was told I would so I guess theyre busy enough

Worst experience ever! Take to long, the drive have bad attitude, for 1.5 miles they charge me 200 dollars just cuz the driver have a bad time getting the car hook up, 100 dollars more and no call to let me know about the extra fee, the words of the driver was if you dont pay i can give you the car worst experience ever !

My dads car got towed here over the weekend after getting into a serious accident. When he went to go clean out the car after getting discharged from the hospital, his spare tire was missing along with a small shopping bag that was in his trunk. It’s disappointing people at this tow yard would allow this to happen. Stepps seems to have a strict policy regarding who can come out to clear the car, they claim only registered owners can clear out the car. This was most likely an employee. The attitude of the woman that answered the phone over the weekend was horrible and she seemed sneaky. It wouldn’t surprise me if she had something to do with it.

They were really fast with their service and didnt give me a hard time. The driver was super nice understanding and down to earth and was able to help me emotionally with my situation as it was the first time my car broke down and I was very sad.

I wish I could have rated it lower...😑

Deplorable service. Hours of wait time. I will go out of my way to inform public of this despicable company and their undesirable ethics. No only did they lie about their estimated time of arrival by two hours, they lied about providing me a safe recovery to my personal vehicle after my company truck was delivered to a mechanic. At 11pm i was informed i would be dropped off at the nearest gas station because the driver is not a taxi and had another call to go to. After research, the driver is contracted to drive me to a desired location before delivering the vehicle to any destination. It is expected to provide a safe return for the customer. But this is not true with Stepps. And on top of the inconsideration of the late hour, the location of the gas station was in a bad part of Tampa. I was in an environment that was obviously a safe haven for drug dealers and prostitutes. This review is the one of many steps I am following in my pursuit to bring repercussions to a company that should not have a licence to practice and business! Consumer beware!

Outstanding service from the time that they answered my phone, until I signed for payment. The electrical system went out on my truck, while towing a full dump trailer across the Howard Franklin. I have always received excellent service from Stepps, so it was a no-brainer to call them again. They let me know up front that they were busy, so it could be as long as 90 min before their arrival. However, the surprisingly arrived in less than half that time. The driver, Austin, was very friendly and helpful. He was able to get the truck started. He then offered to follow me to the auto repair shop (instead of towing), making the service significantly less than the estimated cost.They were extremely helpful and considerate. You never hope to have to use a towing company; however, this will always be my company of choice.

Over 4 hours waiting for a tow. Wouldnt recommend if you have anything else you need to do that day. Driver was nice, but phone staff seemed completely uninterested that 4 hours later the truck didnt arrive in the estimated 15minutes. Would have been able to push my car to the mechanic in less time than it took to get it towed.

Stepps NOT to the rescue!! AVOID, use someone else! Given an hour wait time through BMW Roadside Assistance. Seems reasonable. Wait the hour, get a call that they are 30 mins behind. Annoying, but we are making progress. Another 30 mins passes, I have to call to see where they are only to be told it will be another 30 minutes. All in 2.5 hours to wait for a tow is absolutely absurd, especially given Stepps is the largest service in Tampa Bay. Send someone else.

Don’t go to steps towing at all!! They are thief’s! They lie to you and sell your car without telling you and tell you it go destroyed but yet it didn’t! Found the car 4 months later in their other location being parted out in st Pete at stepps part out!! Their costumer service is poor!!

Horrible customer service. Tells you it will be an hour then an hour later they say another hour, and another. Unreliable. Referred through GEICO and I will be sure to let them know as well. Had to sit in lightening outside because they could not get to us on the motorcycle. Completely unsatisfied.

Cannot provide the service they advertise. Hours of wait time. Incompetent people in office as well. Could not even find our request. Our business has switched to another tow company for our box truck and tractor needs. High rates as well.
