My car got towed from my apartment as it was a new car and we didnot take sticker as we just got it. The lady on the call was so ride and told us it can take 15 minutes to 4hours. She didnot provide any details on when the driver will come to give the car. The driver came after 50 minutes.

There should be a zero star so this place could get it. They towed my vehicle from my daughters apartment complex last Saturday and in the process messed it up. We were told to park in visitor parking, not Handicapped because those were for residents and I would get towed so I park in Visitor and wake up to my vehicle towed. With Ohio plates and a Handicap tag hanging. They are bottom feeders praying on people that dont live there and dont know the rules. Bottom Feeders!

My mother and father both work there and they were extremely nice to everyone who had their car towed and they felt bad when they seen people with their car towed but they are only doing their job. They work hard and I want to thank them for that. Everyone who works there is nice and funny and I feel like people who give the one star reviews are just mad their car was towed which I understand. I am sorry if ur car was damaged but it is difficult to do this and you dont understand how hard they work really hard.

Ive had bodywork done and a tow done by this place and I like their work. I had a busted headlight and my hood was slightly raised, the fixed it and made it look like it never happened. Shortly after that, I was in an accident and need the car to be towed. They arrived quickly and picked me up and towed my car. Really nice people.

BEWARE. My car was INCORRECTLY towed Saturday night/ Sunday morning from my apartments, went to retrieve it on Monday and car didn’t want to drive. Made a loud noise when I drove it ( 2014 Hyundai, never happened before). Immediately Took it to my mechanic who has a shop around the corner (and who JUST serviced my car days before) and he advised me that my Catalytic converter was now missing. Hmmmm. Illegally towed my mustang from my apartment complex and charged me $200 to retrieve my vehicle. My mustang is manual btw, my car was in fourth gear but I left it in neutral. Took my car to Ford and rear differential is demolished because they towed a rear wheel drive car from the rear wheels!!!

We own commercial properties and RC Recovery works for us and they towed one of our actual owners of the business car and their “rep” would not release vehicle. The owner of the business hides in the back room and we will be using a different towing company going forward and give the contract to someone else. They will lose thousands just to make a quick $150.

You need to go there in person to sign a release - and if you have an accident on the Causeway, you need to drive to Tampa in person to sign a release. The police suggest you use them instead of AAA -0 that is a BIG mistake!!!!!!!!!

Its crazy to me that a business that breaks into your car, steals it, and then forces you to drive to a sketchy lot, where you can only pay cash, can call themselves legitimate and operate legally. When I called to find out where my car was, I was told to drive to the lot, then call for them to send a driver to release my car, it could be up to an hour. Luckily there was a driver that pulled in right behind me as I got there, so there was no wait. He took forever to count my cash and didnt seem very bright, and the odor coming out of the truck as I stood next to it made me wonder how many weeks it had been since his last shower. I was fortunate enough that they didnt visibly damage my car in this process, but Im sure my differential isnt happy about being towed with the rear wheels down. They also left my car unlocked, which is fantastic to know that anyone can hop their busted fence and have their choice at whatever belongings you may have in your car.

I wish nothing but the absolute worst for this industry and the people who operate it, especially those at RC.Obviously, a towing service is never going to receive a positive review and will most likely never be viewed as a positive service in society’s perspective at all but RC Towing & Recovery takes that to a whole new level by ensuring that they provide complete and utter disrespect towards anyone who comes across their path. Meanwhile, hiring the shadiest, most miserable scumbags they can possibly find to operate, maintain, and uphold their values and tradition of screwing over the consumer then proceeding to not only financially but verbally ‘kick them while they’re down’ as well.They have the inside knowledge and contractual leverage with apartment complexes of how, when, and where to operate in order to make a quick buck in anyway and at any moment seemingly possible.For those who are unfamiliar, Campus Club N has an extremely limited number of Visitor parking spots (maybe 8 for 3 buildings of residents) so they take major advantage of this by waiting in a neighboring business lot and utilizing a side ‘Exit-Only’ gate which appears to only be open at night for easier access to make their living.Campus Club has a very well-thought out set of ‘Visitor’ Parking for RC Towing (sarcasm). Engulfed in the limited Visitor spaces and Future Resident spaces are two spaces that are blank and unmarked. Well, those two spaces which are in between Visitor and Future Residents are in fact Permit-Required Resident spaces. They are no signs that explain this anywhere at all, not to mention the ‘Caution-Tow-Away Zone’ sign is hidden at the front entrance as well. So RC does what they do best and seizes the heartless opportunity and capitalizes on the confusion and miscommunication, as expected.Campus Club and RC Towing are obviously contractually married and they are effective together at the expense of others. Capitalism is a beautiful thing, in my opinion however the towing industry is simply a nasty blemish on the face of capitalism and will not be fixed by a single negative review.

When I got there and even before the lady I spoke with was kind professional and a good christian woman. She really made all that happened didnt happen with our car being towed. She is a wonderful asset t ok the company!

1 star is to much. My daughter moved in on 9/7/19 this company towed my daughters car. She had her hazard lights on and they towed her. Usually people have their hazard lights on if there is a problem. you know they did wrong when the apartment complex told them to give my daughter back her car. I have called several times today and someone name Betty acted as she was taking a message and stated the office would call me as she is the dispatcher. called back at 330pm and was told I would have to sue them in small claims court OK NO PROBLEM BETTY

Woke up this morning and reported my car stolen and found out it was here. There was not a no parking sign, tow away zone sign or any other indicator that the car could not be parked where it was parked. Several people park in the same place and all of a sudden they decide to tow out of no where? And when I asked why, the lady could not give me an answer. The lady at the window in a Bucs beanie unfortunately cant answer any of your questions as management does not tell her anything. According to her she just works there from 8-5 and doesnt know anything. She also tried to charge us more than she should have to get our car out. Thankfully, I had called their operator who told me the specific prices for the times and I had to correct her when she said it was $190 that it should really only be $165. Is this place trying to scam people? If someone didnt call, would they really just charge more? She proceeded to get upset and curse at me when she couldnt answer my questions and just kept telling me to talk to my apartment management which I am going to do but my car was stolen/towed out of no where in the middle of the night so of course I had questions for the company who did it since the apartment complex isnt even open yet. I understand its just a towing company and they get upset people every day but they should at least be able to answer simple questions when people are paying a ridiculous amount for them taking our cars. Just make sure you are quoted the right price and dont over pay for no reason!

Ive always been surprised to hear that towing was legal for a private company and they could set the charge to whatever they want for you to receive a seized asset.This is why, Im fairly sure this company must be consistently checking student parking lots around USF because I went to pick up a book from my friends apartment and when I came back out my car was gone when I was informed that my friends two family members had also had their cars towed by the same company in the past.It seems odd for the same reason that police departments arent for-profit

Feels strange writing a positive review after my car was towed, but I was surprised at how kind the lady at the front counter was for someone who probably deals with an abundance of angry customers daily.She communicated everything I needed to know and I was surprised to find that none of my expensive tools were stolen despite them being visible in my backseat and my car being left unlocked. As stressul as it is, having your car towed, this was probably the best case scenario.

Police called this company to tow my car after my wife got into an accident. After I went there to inspect the vehicle and get my things out of it I mentioned that I would need to take it a place to get the work done and they told me that they did body work there too. To avoid having to drive the car all over town I decided to go ahead and let them do it.Long story short, they did an AWESOME job. They did not settle for substandard parts and replaced the entire front facia of my car, matching it with the color (red) PERFECTLY. They also replaced my tire with a brand new one, refusing the insurance companys attempt to replace it with a used one, and they fixed my alignment for me too! When I picked up the car the interior was completely clean and the car basically looked brand new. I was amazed; MUCH better service than I was expecting from a small and independently-owned place like this.It did take almost two weeks for the work to be completed but Im not even mad about that, since that was mostly the insurance companys fault (they tried at first to cheat them on the cost of the estimate for repairs, but it all got worked out in the end) and I had a rental the whole time anyway.Bottom line is that this is a great small business that I would strongly recommend, certainly if they happen to be the ones who tow your vehicle after an accident anyway. Alex and Reuben were both very courteous, congenial, honest and hard-working men and they deserve credit for the excellent work they did. Some people have given them bad reviews because they cant own up to the mistakes they made that resulted in their cars getting towed in the first place but you know what...too bad. You cant please everyone. But they have certainly pleased me and I would come back here again in a heartbeat.

I went to visit friends at their apartment and there was no sign anywhere close to the parking space that stated that I could not park there. After realizing that my car was gone, I searched the complex for 5-10 minutes to find ONE small sign stating that it was a tow-away zone. We were forced to pay $210 for the violation and the company was only 10 minutes up the street. Hopefully they did not do any damage to my transmission since I’m not quite sure how they could put my car in neutral without having the keys.

Towed my girlfriends car while parked for under an hour during legal times, we called immediately and they said they could take hours to get back to let us have it. Which is geographically suspect considering it was less than an hour since it was towed. We waited for it in the most rundown, unsafe lot you could imagine.Also cost $200. Predatory leeches that feed off of working class guests. No rudeness is excessive for this business. Not an ethical nor practical standard exists that is too low for them to fail.

This place is the lowest of the low! First of all, they decided to tow my car because the temporary permit fell from the dash into the passengers seat, where they could have easily seen it. Then, taking it down five stories of apartments, they scratched the HELL out of my front bumper. When I got to the place, the lady (to be polite) in the front desk told me I had to pay the $185 in cash. I walked for about an hour looking for a functioning atm and had no luck. I walked back to appeal to the ladys human decency, but she had none. After I got somewhat agitated, she agreed to charge my debit card. Her excuse was that the system was not working, but later she said that her boss makes her ask for cash only. Bottom line is that they ignored my permit, messed up my cars paint job, and the manager still has not called me back despite my insistence. The only funny part about this experience was when I told the front desk lady that this cash only scam sounds like some tax evading bs. Her face was priceless😂

I do understand that people do get disgusted with Tow Companies but consider this.....your car is towed and there is minimal or no damage done. I feel any tow company deserves a 5 star rating if they can do that. Stop being pissed at the tow truck drivers follow the parking laws and you won´t have an issue.

I called RC towing & recovery in need of a jumpstart. The representative received my address and phone number for the driver and told me someone is on the way. It has now been 3 HOURS since my initial call. I called back after the first hour and I was told their drivers were currently busy but the driver would be alerted that I was still waiting. 3 hours later here we are.. no call from a driver and no jumpstart. Whatever the case may be, this service is beyond slow... ancient might be a better word. I think ill have better luck flagging down a stranger for a jumpstart.

An unethical towing company that can illegally tow people if they need a quick buck. My girlfriend had the proper parking ticket in the proper parking slot at my apartment complex and she has been doing so for months. They decide to bend the rules to make some money by saying cant park there for more than 3 days consecutively. EVEN THOUGH WEVE BEEN DOING SO FOR MONTHS. This place is a giant scheming stew of scumbags and that dont operate by rules or morals they dont deserve a star at all.

This tow company is completely unprofessional. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. The women who takes the calls is disrespectful and talks in circles to cover her ass. She was sitting in her office and told us we would need to wait 30 minutes to an hour for the driver to return, even though there was no need for the driver to be there since the car was in the lot. We have been told multiple stories that all seem like lies. This place should be shut down immediately and is probably the front for some other shady business.

They tow your vehicle from a disabled parking spot that you park your vehicle in every night in your apt. Complex with your apt. Decal visible because one night I forgot to hang my placard on mirror...Totally illegal because I called the Sheriff office and they said only scumbags would do that on private property because they can with no regard to someone who forgot to hang it in a gated community...They will make a dollar any way they can and thats called towing!!I just read how Morgan and Morgan in Dec 2016 filed a Class Action Lawsuit against people like this because they think they can do anything they want at our cost with no feeling to how bad it sucks!!

They will steal items from your car and lie about it. The guy in the lot even had the audacity to smirk when I mentioned I was missing things. I implore everybody to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau so we have at least some recourse with these absolute scumbags.

Brought my 91 yr old mom home from hospital and parked where i always park. Even renti.g office has me down for diabled. Didnt matter to them they towed my car regardless. Said my disabled wasnt visable. Funny thing is the other disabled persons car NEVER has the disabled person in vehicle which is against the law. I think the first thing you have to be missing to work qith RC towing is a heart. Totally unbelievable how they dont care how they hurt people. Today, the 22nd of Dec, My fiancees rental car from a dealership was towed. She dropped off her car with her parking pass the night before, and upon returning the office was closed so she was unable to receive a temporary pass. This morning she awoke to find her rental had been towed. I called the towing company and spoke to Rebecca with a calm demeanor. Regardless from how polite and calm i was, she insisted on being rude. Multiple times i asked to speak to a manager or someone higher above her. Every time she replied, and i quote, I am the manager, there is no one above me, which she followed up with hanging up on me. After speaking to the apartment complex, i called back and asked if there was proof of her parked in a restricted parking spot, and if there was not proof, where we would go from there. Again, she was very rude and started raising her voice to me saying that is not possible and then she once again hung up on me. Now my fiancee is being forced to pay a fee of $75 to recover a vehicle, even though she had previously purchased a parking pass, and the only reason she was not able to obtain a temporary pass, was that the apartment complex was not open. Nevertheless, this whole situation did not warrant from the verbal harassment that i received for simply trying to solve a predicament that should not have happened in the first place.

Charged me $175 to get my car. Showed up at 5:58 PM (because they don’t answer the phone and I originally went to their main lot) and was told it would actually be $225 since it was after 6 (it wasn’t). The guy admitted he wasn’t an employee yet he was handling cash transactions. The lady on the phone then hung up on me and her employee. THEN they wouldn’t give me my car because they didn’t have change for $240. Joke of a “company” that should be shut down for fraud.

Such an awful towing company.... They towed my truck last night from my apartment complex because they said we had no parking permit sticker.... I have lived at this apartment complex an entire year and have never been towed.... Sure enough when I go to pick up my truck from their location they see the parking permit sticker in the back window of my truck.... Careless drivers! They just started towing at my complex and they whip around in their truck with cars in tow way too fast. Got very close to clipping parked cars. They block the road and make an already cramped parking lot so much worse. Would much rather deal with parking further from my building than this. Very unprofessional.

RC towing towed my car because of repeated guest parking. I was visiting my sick mom day from day to help her out around the house and also the apartments don’t give out guest parking stickers to the residents that live there for there visitors.

I have been towed by RC Towing twice and both times, I was in guest parking. I drive a modified and lowered car, but they have no care to take that into mind. They completely ruined an $800 exhaust system and ripped the entire front lip off of my car. When I brought this up, they gave me an attitude and said they are not responsible for the damage done to my car. In addition to this, my car is a manual. They left the car in first gear and dragged my car by the rear tires. Since this, my car has never driven correctly since. This place is a scam company. They will tow your car in the middle of the night and then make you pay anywhere from $150-200 to get your car back. No card, only cash. Im a college student. I cant afford to have my car towed, especially when I AM FOLLOWING THE GUEST PARKING RULES!!! Absolutely terrible. The place that they keep your cars at looks like an absolute junkyard. Dont expect to get youit car back soon if you get towed, because you will be waiting for the driver for almost an hour while hes out and about screwing other people over. Absolutely awful company.

These guys are total shmucks they towed my car with a parking pass in the front window of my car and i had to call them 3 times to find my car i had to call tampa PD to find put where it is and sure enough it was at thier lot only reason i am giving them 3 stars is because the lady was nice on the phone that pocked up and was verry apologetic and waved the tow fee their drivers should pay more attention to detail instead of just hooking and booking

Parked in Avalon visitor parking and still got towed :) the address isn’t the one listed here you’d have to call for the actual one. The lady was actually nice.. Also only cash accepted. The hours are ridiculous, if your car gets towed on Friday you’d have to wait until Monday???

Terrible Business. I dont know is worse, the towing company or the apartment complex who hires them! They take advance of college students who cant afford to sue them! They towed ALL 3 of my friends the same night and damaged my new car!! They hook up your back wheels and drag your car behind them, destroying your axles. We even parked in Visitors spaces! Costs us $215 each!! I know the apartment complex makes a buck off of these rules.

Towed my rental vehicle from a public support with no indication of permit only parking. Later they tell me at night a permit was required. But none of this info is displayed anywhere.

They towed my car @1am in the night on Sunday. They charge you $25 dollars after 6 hours so you have no time to get it unless youre checking your car every hour. They also charged me additional $50 to get it on Sunday because theyre open only Mon-Fri. Theyre trying to rip you off as much as they can

After frantically searching for my car and calling the police to report it stolen, I found one sign on the entire property for RC Towing. My TRUCK WAS TOWED FROM MY APT. COMPLEX IN FRONT OF MY APT. HALLOWEEN NIGHT OF 2015 I was given a receipt, and gave it to management,now they claim they cant find it. Ive been trying to get a copy from tammy since they moved from highway 92 which have been several months now. She never have time to look for it. I have also asked for the owners number. This place literally broke into my car and caused damage and then wanted me to pay the $265 for towing. This is not right and a not professional establishment.

I have a transport company and I was scheduled to pick up three cars. Gave them a hour call ahead and in the conversation one of the employees told me I cant be calling be calling more than once, the snapped at me and insulted me. I called again to speak with the manager and the manager was just as worst.Transport companies dont even bother to pick up vehicles for this place. They are horrible. This company is just Money Hungry!!! I went to pick up my friend at 42nd North, Tampa because she was sick and she was throwing up so I had to park in front on her Aprtyment ONLY for 37 minutes. By the time I was out, they took my car with my wallet inside and my Apple computer with it. I called the Aprtyment and they give me R.C’s number.I found that they took my car 4948 N 56th St. Tampa FL 33610 location which which is almost about 8.7 milles away 42nd North. Imagine how much they changed me for LESS than an hour from time they towed my car? It was $215. Seriously? They should’ve giving me a warning but NO WHY WOULD THEY? They just want to get your money.

Crooks! Towing for bucks only. I am a registered guest at an appartment complex in Tampa but my visitors pass was on my passenger seat not the dash. The driver of the tow truck admits to seeing it but towed anyway. Pamela instructed me to come them to pick up my illegally towed car and pay a ransome of $155.00. The car is not built to be towed so if there is ANY damage WHAT SO EVER I will be suing the Alexander and Pamela in small claims court.

Predatory towing company that rides around neighborhoods and complexes looking to make a quick buck off college kids and their guests, the yard looks like a total s*** hole busted gates, garbage, and weeds all over the lot. No regard for peoples cars and their property. I witnessed a driver that came to release my car completely rip the front bumper off of someone elses vehicle that he just brought in (no wonder I waited so long for him to get there) but they wont do anything for you anyways because theyre supposedly not responsible for any damage done to your vehicle but I would recommend doing a once over of your vehicle before you get in it anyways. Theyll ONLY take cash just a warning and they will charge ridiculous rates...it took several phone calls to the office (because the woman in the office had absolutely no clue that they had my car and couldnt seem to find it for several hours) and a call to the Hillsborough county sheriffs department just to figure out where my car actually was. Horrible company. Horrible business practices. Even worse owner and employees. Just be on a lookout for any places that have R.C. There was a rating system included with this listing but there is no way to give them the proper negative 5 (-5) rating they have earned. A completely unethical, unprofessional operation, if thats what you can call it. This company services our condo complex and there is no standard operating procedures, just get what you can, when you can get it. Even if it calls for making unnecessary tows at the vehicle owners expense. Absolutely pathetic. If you can avoid this company, hen by all means do so. There IS a good reason why their rating, after the posting of this review, is 34 out of a possible 95 points giving them a 1.842 rating!! Think people, the proof is in the numbers.Great that there were a small measure of people that had a good experience with their body shop, but by and large, a total sham of a company by all other experiences listed. One can only wonder why the company had to REINSTATE their business listing with the Secretary of State back in 2013 with no annual report filed for 2012. My rental car was improperly towed from my complex. I had to no choice but to pay the $170 impound fee and could not wait for mgmt to get the car released (it was as Sat). I spoke with apt management and clarified that it was improperly towed. I wanted to clarify the process of disputing the issue, so I went to the main location on Hesperides to simply as how the process worked. I had a unique situation and was very understanding about the mishap.The nearly shoulder length blond haired man greeted me and I began to explain my question. At no time was I rude, flippant, or disrespectful to him. Instead of him actually listening to why I had to say- He immediately went to a Im right-youre wrong condensding tone, and literally told me Take me to court- You get your stuff and well get ours. This was the most unprofessional and disgusting behavior l have encountered. It was no attempt to look into the situation - even look into what was already going on behind the scenes with it. I had no intention of threatening court or anything of that nature - yet was treated like I was stupid and needed to get over it.There are plenty of tow companies that can service your businesses and complexes. I would not put money into a company that employs low class, uneducated people who lack not only customer service skills but common sense. Apparently hes was the tow truck leader or something because he referred the the employees as my guys. It looks horrible for a business to have poor service associated with it.Business owners look for a more courteous and professional company to monitor your lots. You will get better reviews from your patrons and residences.

The worst towing company ever they towed two of my bmws and damaged both of them! Never going to use them again and they were very rude and lied about it

If I could give them zero stars I would. These tools towed my car from my girlfriends apartment at 3 am on labor day even though it was in a visitors parking spot. It cost me $220 to get my car back. A complete unprofessional business, when I called to complain there was a baby crying in the background and the woman could only tell me theres nothing she can do for me after I pleaded I was a college student from Atlanta and I couldnt afford to pay that much to get it out. BEWARE of you live in THE SOCIAL this towing company is known for targeting college students and even the apartments residents even if you have your sticker. Ive seen them throughout all times during the day and night. There just a bunch of idiots trying to run a business.

The owner was the rudest man i ever encountered. I spoke to him respectfully and in a low calm voice. He treated me like garbage and just refused to even consider what I was asking him. He does not know how to treat people and I dont understand how he is still in business with that attitude. Even his employee told me was not an understanding person. I dont want anything bad for him or his company I just pray he grows some compassion for people. One day I may be a doctor and he may need my compassion so he should really consider changing the way he does his business.

I took off from work and took my parents to pick up their truck. After 30 min drive The truck wasnt there! The lady was very rude and unprofessional. She even hang up the phone when I called. I just needed to confirm the location of the truck since they already told us wrong. They did treat my mom a little nicer at the second location, buts still ...its a mess. People takes advantage of others...Train your employees at least to be neutral.

F this place! Illegally towed my car and charged me an extra 75 bucks for making then come into their own office to release the vehicle! You should all be ashamed of the bullshit business youre running!

They are getting reviewed only because they did their job, however predatory towing should be illegal especially when its personal property. Went in to a really run down building at their 9718 east us hwy. 92 location. Smelled horrible and there was a baby? ?? Hanging out behind the counter. You are dealing with people whose car you, in the middle of the night, took. The tow lot is essentially a junk yard with tons of stuff everywhere, garbage, cigarette butts everywhere, overthrown weeds and plants. Paid 200 dollars because it was after hours? (Even though the reciept clearly says 24 hour service) ..

Not surprised by the unprofessionalism and poor service we recieved at this place. Please note, the receptionist Melinda and manager Stefan are both scammers. I was told a refund would be provided and after 2 days of several messages being left, I was told no refund would be given. It is a shame they have such management running a shop.

This is very bad business. If my car was parked in a inappropriate place they have all the right to tow it, but they have to release my car immediately when I get there. Unfortunately they send their employees home on a Sunday and Im suppose to wait for them. One hour in the sun here and my car retained illegally. 230 bucks. Towed my new car and damaged it and refuses to pay for damage. Manager Stefan said to take him to court so that’s what will be done. I bought the car 4 days ago I’d know if it was damaged. Company needs to be shut down this isn’t a business it’s a freaking joke.

Horrible company. Drivers were rude and the sign says call 24/7. I called and the phone went straight to voicemail. I had to call the police in order to get in contact with them. This is a scumbag company.

Towed me while I was parked for 10 minutes in a completely empty stretch of parking spaces. These people are scumbags just looking to extort people as much as possible in order to make some money. They over charge and tow any car thats out of place, doesnt matter if youre breaking parking rules or not. If youre in a community that hired these guys, your car isnt safe.

Got towed, googled the address to pick up early the next morning. only to find out both the phone number posted on the towing sign AND the google listing are for the other location they have and that I needed to travel ACROSS TOWN in order to pick up my car. Also charge storage fee after 6 hours, when towed in middle of the night makes it an unavoidable charge. Shady practices all around!

They dont care about the people they tow. Alex is a complete thug. He will try to make you feel worthless and yell at you. I was yelled at by him and called all sort of vulgar names. They have no customer service model. If I was a company I wouldnt hiring them to tow cars away from my place. On top of all of this they damage cars! Expect to have your cars paint scratched, axles bent, and tires flattened.
