These apartments have drastically raised the rent this year but have somehow gone so down in value. Their is always trash overflow in dumpster areas, the wooded areas are trashed. Teenagers walk across railroad tracks since no fencing and come over here to hang out, smoke pot, and steal our bikes. The management doesn’t help solve ANY of these problems. Kids come from the middle school and hang out in grassy area/ kids areas on Friday nights and act a fool! They were playing Russian roulette stepping out in front of cars, harassing women, and store owners. Courtesy officer is a joke and the pool checker is too. Kids in the pool on weekends without parents making it unenjoyable. It’s really sad considering the close parks, pool, and neighborhood overall are so nice. We love the area but management for the apartments is obviously not paying attention to the property and these issues. I know some is out of control but for the price they should be cleaning up property and policing the neighborhood better. It’s not worth the $2000-$3000 price tag.

Unfortunately, I am unable to recommend West Park Village for anyone looking for an apartment. For the pros, the neighborhood itself, around West Park Village, is nice. Generally quiet, plenty of decent restaurants in either walking distance or a short drive. The problems are with West Park Village itself. If you move into West Park Village, especially if you suffer from asthma like myself, you better hope you do not have any neighbors that smoke. I’ve had for over two months as of writing this review an issue with a smoking neighbor where their cigarette smoke fills my apartment, to the point where it causes issues with breathing and I have even had to leave my own apartment to stay elsewhere. The office couldn’t care less, however. The office staff will offer empty platitudes, and the property manager will all but tell you to just learn to deal with it. It took over a month of near daily pestering to get someone to help seal holes and such to try to cut down the issue, to which they came, did a few things, said they would be back, and then closed the ticket and never came back. Another month later I was told after more pestering the office that they would come back but have still yet to have any assistance. You will be left on your own with zero care or assistance from the office about health concerns or issues.Less specific to my current issues is their maintenance guarantee is deceitful. They offer a 48-hour guarantee on maintenance issues however the catch is their automated system saying someone will review the ticket counts as the response. It could, as it has for many of my tickets, take longer than 48 hours before you actually hear anything about the issue or have anyone actually look at it. If you question why issues take so long the only response is that they are short staffed and prioritizing emergencies and such. This has been an issue for over two years. It’s not a problem of too many issues, but a problem of managements refusal to staff properly it seems. When I moved in the walkway in front of my apartment flooded and I was told they were aware of the issue and would soon be fixing it. Two years later it is still an issue.Another issue is despite the multiple of bins to assist with picking up after your dog, both residents of the apartments and residents in the adjacent housing are more than happy to not clean up after their dog leaving dog feces all around. They are also happy to in areas allow their dogs to pee in the apartment building breezeways and leave a mess. All in all I could not recommend West Park Village to anyone looking to move to a new apartment.

My family and I lived here for 6 months as we transitioned from one home to another. The good: very friendly, great amenities. Pool, fields, splash pad are great. Walking, running and biking paths are super. Quick turn around on maintenance requests, too.The bad: getting in and out is a nuisance, the pool can get crazy with alcohol and loud music; not exactly family-friendly all the time.Overall I would recommend this neighborhood.

The only things I would change, put up signs to pickup after your pets (yes people dont do this especially next to my garage) and a better air conditioner, because the one I have is not that great (and its been looked at). Other than that, its an awesome place to live.

We have lived at West Park Village for almost one year. We moved from Illinois last March 2020, site unseen. From the minute we arrived to the community we have felt like this is our home. The apartment home looked so nice upon move in. The maintenance team has been excellent. Recently our A/C went out during higher temperatures, they were very quick to respond and solve the problem without hesitation. They were professional, listened and acted quickly so that we could be cool and comfortable in our home. Huge shout out to Maintenance team Mike, Jack & Phil. Also, they have a beautifully kept guest house for visitors fully furnished and reasonably priced. It is so convenient for your family members or friends to visit you. The amenities are amazing and everything kept clean. Tonya assists with the Guest house rental and she is friendy, efficient, patient, professional and very easy to work with.I give this community an A+...

My family and I moved here from Chicago and chose West Park Village as our home because Rayvin (leasing agent) was absolutely magnificent in helping us decide. Her customer service was stupendous!!!. She answered all my questions and concerns as well as face timing me the community and desired units! She knew how scary it is to move somewhere sight-on seen and eased my nerves!Complaints are filed but handled with serious care. Work orders are completed in less than 24 hours from your initial request. Layouts are gorgeous...sooo many to choose from! Love the pool area and recreational area. 24 hour clubhouse with coffee station, pool table, TVs, and computers. Great 24hr fitness room!So far the community itself is just amazing. Clean, quiet, very family oriented! The neighbors are super nice and welcoming. Everyone speaks to each other. Lots of kids for my daughter to play with. They keep up the landscaping and amenities here too!I personally feel that you get your money’s worth here at West Park Village. And if you have children Westchase Elementary School is right across the street. Such a great school and staff! School bus service (event though it super close) Great school and friendly staff. Tons of diversity in this community. Special monthly community events,,,If you are looking for a place to settle down and have kids, this is a perfect choice for you. Rayvin THANK YOU for absolutely everything. I was a complete wreck on trying to decide our final move and you were the only leasing agent that went above and beyond the way you did! This will be a long lasting residency for us

Upon move-in, the townhome was freshly painted (including the garage), immaculate and clean. The appliances all work and a new W/D. Carpet in great shape and the serene tree/pool view out the large windows is relaxing. Electric bill is happily reasonable. I brought brand new sofas and other furniture that i had to get rid of because of the roaches !!! Yet they charge for pest control but I attempted to Come and get them to spray they told me they put me in the “books” so I would even take off of work to make sure I was there and they never showed up to spray or take care of the infestation!!! Second, the leasing agent I signed my lease with was nice but everybody else has attitudes or doesn’t have the information and refers you to the manager who isn’t available ever and doesn’t return calls.

They are non-responsive when it comes to getting someone to come out and fix something, we pay close to 2k month for this place and it seem like they are always busy. At some point we gave up on putting in maintenance request to get things done, But if they need something from you they have no problem calling and interrupting your work day. I would not recommend this place to anyone your better off getting a house for the money you pay here.

We went to our 2:30 apt 15 min early today. We were met by a frantic salesperson ( pat or Pam?) and we told to have a seat. I needed a rest room and she told me I had to wait for her to finish with a prospect then she could open the pool side door. She did but made me wait to open it to get in explains how she’s very busy and the doors MUST be kept locked. I luckily had an appointment with Janilla ? Who was a bit late but worth the wait. The other lady told me I could sit in the club room but my small dog could not. I said “ isn’t this a dog friendly community?” To which she replied” not in here” .Janilla came and we had a great tour dispute my blowing my stack at this very unprofessional woman. You should invest some money and train her how to deal with people and maybe cut down on the caffeine. We loved the 3 story townhouse and we will will probably take it as long as that woman isn’t involved with the transaction at all. I don’t deal well with ignorance and and I didn’t deserve to be treated that way. The worst part is that a couple came in after I retreated to the porch and I could hear the loud, very loud, story of her version of what happened. Meanwhile the couple left and this woman, who represents you and your company, started telling my Husband the whole thing. Besides living the horror I had the misfortune of her repeating the tale to not only my husband but anyone who would listen.I love your community and I think it fits our lifestyle perfectly. We are moving toBe closer to work ( 1 1/2 blocks) . I retired from 50 years of customer service and abuse and I’d like to think I was successful at handling people this whole thing might have been avoided if she had just one ounce of human decency.Ps. When we came back, Janilla offered my pup a treat and us a well needed water and soft drink. Where I live for the past 2 years since moving to Fl. Is not fitting my lifestyle any, ore. We are two professionally minded men who enjoy our privacy and in a second I lost my composure with your sales agent and I don’t like to EVER do that. If she were one of my employees she would be on the porch. A grown woman who feels she has to have someone agree with her is senseless. My business is mine and my Husband, a licensed professional counselor wanted to leave and not tour. He said her actions in telling him and the other couple( and a resident on the sidewalk right in front of me, who came up to get something) were disrespectful and immature. BTW that couple never came back in to talk to her. Could be any reason but I suspect they didn’t want to be involved in her drama. I wouldn’t rent a hoarse stall from such a condescending adult representative of a place I would love to live in and be an active part of your community. Looking forward to going through with our rental despite fist impressions. You have a real professional in Janilla and she more than made up for the frantic beginning.Tom Ferreri

My family stayed in a 2 bedroom Townhouse on the West Park Village property during a travel nurse assignment. We were pleased that they allowed us a short term lease as those were hard to find in the Tampa area. Move in was easy and contactless. The townhouse was spacious and I loved the floor plan. It had a bathroom attached to both bedrooms and an open concept with a living room and dining area on either side of the kitchen. We loved the attached garage as well. The only downsides were that there was no yard, which would have been less of an issue without social distancing, and lack of diversity in the neighborhood, which cant be controlled by the WPV. Also, maintenance requests were always handled quickly. We ended up being there during the lockdown and having to move out early because of the pandemic. The staff was very understanding and helpful through the whole process. Even though we did not get to fully enjoy the amenities during our stay, we did stop by the pool right before move out. Everyone was practicing social distancing. The pool was beautiful and clean. There were lots of places to shop nearby as well as playgrounds and a pretty short drive to the beaches. I would definately reccomend Westpark Village.

Horrible first impression.Definitely make sure you are calling and doing your homework before picking a place to live. I called this place to get a price on an apartment as I am relocating to Tampa and looking for a place to move. This was my experience here.I called and said my hello, asking for a price two differant types of layout apartments for rent within 2-4 weeks move in date. The representative told me to find the prices online. Funny enough I actually went online prior to calling and told her that there is a price range I am looking for an exact price and the date I can also move in. She laughed and said to enter this online and I will find my price. I could not believe this attitude and her laughing !! I replied I am online and it gives me a price range. Common, the lady that picks up the phone doesnt even want to do her job! What the heck is this place and what are they doing having people treat potential customers like this. I ended up hanging up and removing this place from my potential places to live. It fathoms me how they can treat people who are potential customers let alone how they will treat you when you actually live here. I would rather live in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

We had lived in this community for 2 years and for the most part it was such an amazing community. We lived in the same unit for all of the two years and had great neighbors. Everyone in the leasing office is very helpful, but I do want to note that Rayvin is amazing and always goes above and beyond—especially with my nerves of moving out and making sure everything was ok (due to a bad experience at a different complex previously). The maintenance team in this community is also so amazing and Hector most recently helped us out with an AC issue and everything was fixed perfectly and timely. The unit itself was great and sizable, and having a garage was also a great benefit. Parking in the community is not something I had to experience due to the garage, but the street parking was a frustration of mine having to drive to our home. Sometimes cars are parked on both corners of the road making it difficult to see into the lane you are turning into...but that is really my only true complaint but isn’t really the responsibility of the management office as this community is nestled in with homeowners as well so that I’m sure adds to that. The restaurants and shops are amazing and definitely a perk of living here, along with a great neighborhood to enjoy walks and bike riding. For those worried about the train tracks in the back of the neighborhood, we lived in the building that was the second from the back and the train was not an issue. It comes every so often in the afternoon and at midnight-ish and was never a nuisance. This community like many utilize Valet trash, which is great and they also offer trash dumpsters. These dumpsters are frequently filled but such is life. Community is clean and well-kept and for the most part very quiet. Overall, it is a very family and pet friendly community (occasional pet waste left behind by careless people, but also not truly the fault of the community as they have put up multiple pet waste bins and baggies). I would definitely recommend this community and I will miss living here, but since it is just my husband and I, we really didn’t need three floors and 2 beds/baths, we decided to downsize and down-price greatly which unfortunately did mean leaving this community for our new simpler lifestyle.

This is a beautiful and very safe area, which is family and pet friendly. A little pricey, but well worth it for the locale. Has a very interesting and cozy village feel to it. Good restaurants are within anywhere from a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Parking can be a problem due to limited space if you dont get a unit with a garage, and Montague St can get very crowded on certain nights due to patrons of the restaurants and bars nearby. Staff and management can be hard to get in touch with at times, but are usually very helpful. Maintenance is also good. Electric bill can get up there in the summertime, but is very manageable during the cooler months. I have lived here for almost 2 years now with no real problems to speak of or complain about. They also have rats that they leave dead on the property even after you ask it to be removed. Their service is horrible and for priding themselves as luxury I’m very surprised. Multiple complaints made to management in regards to unprofessional behavior by maintenance workers and other vendors, management does not follow up in regards to any of these complaints. It is their job to correct the actions and advise the resident (customer) of the matter resolved. No such follow through occurs.Townhome units have a major design flaw! There are no A/C return vents anywhere in the unit, causing top floor of townhome style units to be much hotter than all the other rooms by more than 5 degrees. Translates to higher electric bill!Community has restaurants/bars. While this is a great amenity, from these bars come drunk drivers onto these residential streets, driving at night on an alarming regular basis. I have observed drivers traveling wrong way on “one way” street and running stop signs, vehicles parallel parked awkwardly (either far away from curb causing traffic hazard or tires on sidewalk). Personally witnessed an intoxicated driver strike multiple parked vehicles on the street. Unsafe streets inside this community. While appliances are new, they are not high end. Upgrades that would consider such a rental to be “luxury”, such as fixtures, are lacking.Community is not respectful of those of us that work nights. Bell at entrance of community tolls every half hour in the daytime, all day. Very annoying and inconsiderate to those that try to keep the public safe while you all sleep. Many other disruptions to list.

I’ve looked at a lot of apartments in the area and after visiting all of them I choose this place. To be honest it was last on my list when I read reviews and looked at the websites. I was concerned about the size and area being loud and crowded. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. AG showed me the property and the apts. that I was looking for. I asked a lot of questions and she answered all of them. After looking at the other places I called back and worked with AG to get my apt. She not only helped me with the online and paperwork process she actually helped me find a slightly bigger place than I was intending to go with. Someone had just given notice and it was the place I actually wanted except it wasn’t available when I looked at the place. She showed me where my place was and the mail box and went over what repairs they were making before I moved in. She even followed up with me when I submitted my move in repairs and checklist. The staff and maintenance team is so friendly and helpful. Even when it’s normal maintenance they come out within 2 days. When my garage broke they called me to follow up and kept me posted along the way, and had it fixed within 2 days. I’ve rented a home and other apts. over the past 10 years and I’ve never lived in a nicer and more friendly place. I enjoy living here and as long as rent doesn’t go up I plan on being a resident here.

West Park Villahe has been nothing short of spectacular. Their maintenance staff responds quickly and always provides answers and service. Their office staff genuinely cares and go above and beyond for your needs. If you are new to the Tampa area and are not sure where to live, West Park Village would be my number one pick.

Current resident for 4 months. Our apartment directly above Irish 31 has had nothing but continuous maintenance issues since the week after we moved in. We have had multiple floods of both floors. We have had lightning strikes. The maintenance and office staff while extremely friendly, do not seem at all organized or capable to solve problems in a timely matter.I have had the repair people tell me one thing, the maintenance supervisor tell me a 2nd, and the manager Jordan tell me a 3rd more times than i can count now.For the sky-high rent, the quality and timeliness of repairs is simply not up to a reasonable standard.I am currently over 3 months into a flood repair because no one took anything i said seriously for 2 months and they tried to perform small fixes multiple times. Now they are trying to fix it properly but cant seem to communicate among each other to get the work done in a timely fashion.Pros :The neighborhood is awesome. The amenities are great. One of the best pools in town. The office staff is very friendly.Cons:If you run into any issues in your apartment more severe than a broken cabinet fixture, you are going to be living with it for a prolonged period of time.

Nice complex, cheap apartments (floors, fixtures, walls, shades), awful management company. Highly do NOT recommend. They will get you on the way out. In fact, my son gave notice back in August that he would be transferring to another city, was told that he had to pay through the end of his lease and they charged him 15 days rent when he finished the lease on January 2nd. Ridiculous. And dont try to reason with them. They just rip people off. Im sure Katrina will reply but they are completely dishonest so dont rent here.

Weve been here since February and are counting the DAYS until we can leave. Our electric bill was insane so we had to bully the management to have an actual AC company come inspect our unit and say it was definitely on its last legs and needed to be replaced to run anywhere near efficiently. Our garage door broke the same week as the street was being repaved leaving us to hike all over the place with our toddler just to get to our cars. The pool is basically Spring Break headquarters. Non-residents pestering to be let in, strangers literally come and ask you for your FOOD, college kids are playing beer pong. Its ridiculous. Both of our cars have been broken into and had things stolen out of them. We had great neighbors until June and now a family of elephants have moved next door and we can hear every move they make. Management wont do anything about it, leaving us with constant headaches both literal AND figurative and a toddler who cant get through a nap without being woken up by this trashy family. Dont worry, youre still paying a HIGH premium for location to be treated rudely, have the worst neighbors imaginable and (icing on the cake) being robbed multiple times. RUN the other way!

WE LOVE IT HERE!!! I would like to start by thanking the great office staff, especially Geneala and AG. They always greet you with a warm smile these two ladies are always very helpful and accommodate our needs. It is upsetting to see some of these reviews, these people have to be lying, complainers or have done something wrong! We are very happy with our beautiful apartment and location. With all of the shops and restaurants being walking distance, its definitely a plus! My family and I enjoy our peaceful evening walks with our dog around this cleaned well kept neighborhood.

I lived here 6+ years and love it. I have a townhouse on the lake and I think my location is one if the best. The community pool is one of the best in Tampa. The shops and restaurants upfront are very convenient. I go to Anytime Fitness and it is a 8 minute walk perfect for a warm up.All my neighbors are friendly and we are always doing things together. This is definitely the best community in Westchase.Pet friendly and great for kids, Halloween, Christmas and other holidays are awesome here. Thanks Westpark Village!

Horrible. I dont even know where to begin. Outdated apartments, outrageous pricing and rude office staff. There are more NON residents that use the pool than actual residents- nothing has been done and its beyond frustrating. I have encountered a few rodents around the premises as well. After 4 years of being a resident I asked to opt out of my lease ONE month early and it was like asking them to pay ME for a year... cant wait to leave. No signing incentives, well except for a new shower head.. :/

I’ve been living at WPV for about 1.5 years and am moving when my lease ends in about a month. I initially signed here because they offered very flexible leasing terms, and I signed a 7 month one not knowing how long I’d stay in the area. Overall, I love the apartment itself. However, I feel that the area has gone downhill in the past six months. I live in building 1, which is the building shared with blind tiger cafe (formerly Starbucks). For the past six months there has been a massive open dumpster taking up two parking spots, and now there is even a port a potty! Every day when I step outside, I get to look at this (I’ve added a photo of my glorious view to this review.). The people who visit and work in the retail and restaurants in building 1 are incredibly inconsiderate to the residents above, often speeding through the parking lot while people are out walking their dogs or with their kids. I’m thankful that I don’t live above Irish 31 because they often have very loud live music. The parking situation is a nightmare and we often have to park blocks away after getting home from work- WPV really should assign parking to residents in this area. Recently I have also found loads of cigarette butts near one of the bushes by the stairs. It started around the same time that blind tiger moved in and the construction in one of the shops started, leading me to believe that it is not a resident leaving this behind.Maintenance is responsive, however it can be difficult to reach the leasing office. I called and emailed the main office regarding a bunch of used cat litter that someone had dragged down the stairs. While it was cleaned up the next day, it would have been nice to have received an email back confirming that my complaint had been received. This isn’t the fault of WPV, but something to keep in mind is that someone in building 1 let’s their dog pee on the stairs.I loved the convenience of having restaurants within walking distance, but I should have just stayed a year. I’ve also loved how safe the neighborhood is.Ultimately, I’m moving to cut down on my long commute, but if the issues above continue, I don’t see this being a pleasant place to live. I can’t wait to not live next to a port a potty.Edit: I can’t add a photo of the the port a potty and dumpster from my phone, so I will upload one from my computer later.Another edit: I’ve moved this down to one star due to the complete lack of communication from the leasing office in preparation for move-out, and for the note that everyone in our building got regarding the neighbors kids using chalk outside, when the entire parking lot is literally an eyesore thanks to the dumpster and port a potty.

This is a great location, but the front office staff make the stay miserable. I support every one of the other negative comments on here about the management: they are absolutely the worst. There is only one person up there that has any sense of decency to her and that is Jackie. But one person cannot make up for the rest of them that treat you like a second hand citizen. Dont be fooled by the attention they give you up to move in time... once you move in, you are lost in the crowd and have to bang on doors to get things done.

This place is horrible. I was told that the fitness and grilling area would be updated by September. Here we are in October and they havent even started. We have been living here for about 4 months and I dread it. Management has an attitude and the overpriced shops located by the overpriced coffee shop (you know the one) are a joke. Friday/Saturday...my god. I cant tell you how many times I have been woken up at 3 A.M by drunk idiots outside. Im all for a party, but show some damn respect. Parking is horrible as well. The property security guard is a clown. No help at all. I cant wait until my lease is up.

We checked out the place here with hesitance because of all the bad reviews that were on Google. Because it was a walkable community, however, we decided to at least talk to the people in the leasing office. We spoke with office staff and I brought up all the bad reviews on Google, and as it turned out the lady showing us the apartment was also the leasing manager. She told us that her company had recently taken over West Park Village apartments and they were in the process of fixing all of the management issues (i.e. she and her boss were new) and issues with maintenance. We took a shot because we really liked the community and the apartments themselves were really nice. True to her word about a month into our lease they hired a completely new maintenance company and hired all new maintenance staff. The first month I never saw a maintenance guy even though I had some small issues from when we originally moved in. Since they new maintenance company has taken over they have fixed all those issues and a couple of minor cosmetic issues that came up after move in. The management is very responsive to any issues that Ive come up with, and they email the residents frequently with updates. Long story short, since June of 2016 this place is being run very well, and I couldnt be happier with the community as a whole. I love the restaurants, the shops, and most of all how walkable this area is. I only wish they had a grocery store here (Publix is 2 miles away...not walkable). If they did I probably wouldnt even use my car except to go to work or school.P.S. our ac stopped working and they came the same day to fix it.

My family and I had a great living experience in West Park Village. Unfortunately the staff and management are a complete disaster. To give you a short insight into their respect for tenants, while we were moving out my custom paintings were flipped over and used as paint trays by their clean up crew. We returned to our unit to pick up our remaining belongings and you can only imagine how baffled we were to walk into that. There were no apologies and no regard for the actions taken by their staff. Needless to say, I will not be recommending West Park Village to anyone, ever.

Do not think about living in this community. Ive lived here for three years and this is the most inapt unqualified management team Ive ever encountered. It takes weeks to respond to any service call. They will not fix anything unless you call three times or more. I had to call code enforcement to get my a/c fixed. I reported the abandoned Jeep shown in the pictures a few months ago and nothing was done about it. I reported it again today and I was told that they can not do anything about it. As you can see from the picture, the JeepHas hazardous materials in it. Its a danger and an eyesore to the #Westchase community. This is a very expensive high rent community.

This is the worst apartment living experience I have ever had in my life. I live right above the YMCA and the Marcos pizza BOTH of which are very loud, and take up alllll of the parking space. Its so dirty here because of retail and random people walking around making a mess. However my biggest complaint is the Marcos pizza downstairs. I have never ever disliked any group of people so much. They are rude, inconsiderate and dont have respect for any residents that live around them. They also take up most of te parking not spots and there is never any room to park because everyone who parks here and let me tell you theres only few that are actual residents. Residents should have their own parking right up front, not the rude Marcos pizza pieces of crap employees who think they own the whole place. I have told this to the staff and they do nothing about it because they dont care. I have talked to so many of my neighbors all who have the same problem and agree with me and we all will be HAPPILY moving out of this crap hole as soon as our lease is up which thankfully mine is up in only a month.. if you do want to move here DO NOT move above the retail stores

I have lived here about two years and really wanted to live here for another two years. I live above the store front.UNFAVORABLE EXPERIENCES:(1) SECURITY ENTRY - the locks on the entry doors has never worked since living here.(2) PARKING - there is no resident parking... parking has gotten worse over the past 6 months. I’ve come home from work (5:30/6pm) or grocery store (Saturdays) and competitively waited for parking for 15-20mins. There is no alternative places to park. This happens about 3 times per week. It does not help that a few spaces are occupied by a large dumpster and porta potty.(3) PETS - some residents with pets don’t clean after their pets so there is an unpleasant odor next to the entry door. I often see dog poop on the grounds.(4) COMMUNITY- the stairwells and breezeways and window seals to the units are rarely ever cleaned. I may have seen these cleaned twice over this past year. Currently, it’s a sore sight. I have never lived in a community that failed to care for their community the that this place does. I’m embarrassed to invite guests over. The landscape in other areas of the community looks great— maybe they are just abandoning the front area residents!(4) RENT Renewal - I was actually able to get my unit at “below market value”. However, it is still very expensive to live here as apposed to other areas. As a result of my good rate, they spiked my rent up about by $85 at renewal after the first year. I tried to negotiate with them and they said that they were doing me a favor because I’m still getting a great deal. Now, It’s time for me to renew again and they spiked my rent up by $135 *I negotiated and they offered me a smaller increase. But still, at this rate I can expect to receive another large increase next renewal period.(5) RESIDENTS/NEIGHBORS - my neighbors come and go. No one seems to renew their lease around here SO I often experience new neighbors. I now have some new neighbors who aren’t too friendly AND they don’t seem to have much going on; they are always sitting outside talking very loudly and smoking cigarettes. Any day of the week they are sitting out late talking pretty loudly. It annoys me the most after 9pm. *This experience is not really a testament to WPV management per se BUT it is what you would to expect when considering living here.OTHER ISSUE:-they give very short notices when they want to enter your unit for something like fire detector inspections.*I really hate to move but I prefer to live in a place where the management cares about the comfort of their residents. Of course there are nice things about the community BUT unfortunately they are overpowered by the overwhelming negative experiences.

I was the person that read most of these reviews and thought “it couldn’t be that bad, right”? So here’s some insight if your thinking about moving in, there’s a reason why their rating is a 3.1 on google.Staff I would give a 8/10 at first, they of course want to make commission and are very nice. After you move in 6/10, I went to the office a few times to make sure I knew exactly what I had to do before I moved out not to get charged (like a lot of apartments do). After I moved out they were a 0/10. I left a message regarding the invoice I received $494 and wanted someone to get back with me. I called a few days in a row and the “person to talk to” wasn’t in. Finally I got ahold of them and just wanted to know after spending two days cleaning, painting and everything else so this apartment was exactly like when I moved in why I was getting these charges. They explained and since I had dogs they needed to deep clean. 1) Read your contract! 2) It states that someone will walk the apartment with you when you move out— once I told the “head lady” that she was defensive and mocked that I was quoting the contact (extremely rude). She said that even if someone would have walked with me that they couldn’t have told me anything else to do. Seriously?!? I had 1/2 the day left and could have did anything to make sure this apartment was clean and I get shafted because they have an insane contract that they only follow when it’s convenient to them. As a business owner I am appalled by their business and now understand why everyone hated this place.Don’t get me wrong the area is nice but rent a condo, don’t go with West Park Village. Honestly I wish google had a 0/5 stars.
