Absolutely incredible! violet is truthfully an artist. my nails came out absolutely beautiful and i will be going back every single time i need my nails done well. wait time was very short and prices were really high but so so so worth it! thank you violet!

I loved this place!! Ben was my nail tech and he did an amazing job, I got exactly what I wanted. These are my birthday nails and I’m so excited to show them off!! Violet was also the sweetest person and took these awesome pictures. 10/10 recommend!!

I loved my nails, I just wish the quality was better. Especially for the price. They charged me $110-$120 for this set and they were very fragile. I literally scratched my thigh and a nail broke. I was getting dressed and another nail broke from me putting on a sports bra. I understand nails break from time to time but not from small things like getting dressed or scratching and itch. And these incidents happened while the set was fresh (less than a week). Other than that, the staff always takes care of me and is nice. My tech always fixed my broken nails but I just can’t afford to pay this much for a set that isn’t durable while living an hour away and having to drive every time they break.

Made an appointment for 2pm but wasn’t seated until 2:40. the color i got was not the color i chose on the sample. nail tech was unfriendly, quick, painful and sloppy. when i asked if he could fix how straight the filing of a nail was he scoffed and barely fixed it. gel polish all over my skin. i was upcharged for needing more of a fill then normal even tho the growth was only 3 weeks old. i was upcharged for filing them down because i wanted them a little shorter. so many slanted nails. they definitely take advantage of college girls.

Violet was so nice! She did a great job on my nails. She asked me multiple times if I liked them to make sure they were perfect. Great service, thank you Violet!

I came in today to get a full set with Violet. She was very nice and could do any design that you want! They had free drinks and candy and even charged my phone for me! I’ve never had such a good experience getting my nails done and will definitely be coming back if I ever need more fancy nail art done. Also she took some cute photos for me :)

Talented very sweet nail techs but you WILL have to wait. Whether or not you have an appointment. I’ve been here twice in the morning for my appointments and both times not only was the shop not open upon arrival but I had to wait past way beyond my set time. If you have somewhere to be or thinking of a quick last minute service go somewhere else. If you have the time and patience it’ll be worth your wait.

The woman with the locs did my nails, she rushed on them did not follow what i asked for and when i told her my nail was crooked she did not fix it. I came back the next day so she could fix it she did not even apologize or try to fix my nail she just dismissed me and said come back tomorrow she is full. the people at the front did nothing to help the situation instead they dismissed me as well and told me there were people in front of me and i had to wait. i asked how long do they think the wait would be and none of them answered me. Tomorrow is my birthday and i’m just really so angry and disappointed. I will be calling my bank to get a refund.

I went to Violet Nails on Gaines Street in Tallahassee for the first time yesterday. I was blown away by the amazing customer service! Violet herself did my manicure and her husband did my pedicure. The level of courtesy and care that they put into how they treat their clientele is unmatched by any other nail salon in Tallahassee. Within five minutes of sitting at her table, you’ll feel like Violet is an old friend that you’ve known for years. They take such great pride in how they treat their customers and their work. I will certainly be coming back, and be recommending this nail salon to all of my family and friends! Thanks again, Violet, for the great experience! (Oh, and their work is amazing too, not just their service lol).

Just don’t go to violet nail salon. You’ll save so much time. I’ve given violet nail salon chances after chances and they always fail to provide quality services. But when I wasn’t helped after being seated for over 30 min, that was the last straw for me. They kept servicing people who came way after me, completely disregarded my time. I will not be coming back here. Don’t get me started on how the last time I was here, the nail Tec completely botched my nails.

Beautiful nails and amazing customer service!

I was a walk-in customer asking for regular pedicure and manicure. I waited for an hour, they took another walk-in before me who came in 30 minutes after me. I asked for French pedicure, the man applied no base coat, the normal clear or pink, and was confused when I asked for one. There was a girl that came in for an appt, and they took a walk-in before her, she waited for 40 minutes past her spot. I stopped the French pedicure and asked for solid white. In 10 years of getting pedicures I have never had someone do only one coat of color polish, especially white. I decided against the manicure and asked them to just removed the gel polish from my regular nails. I had to scrape a lot off still when washing my hands. When I was checking out they attempted to charge me 10 dollars over, getting me confused with another customer, even though it was my mail tech checking me out. Children with kids TV playing loud behind the relaxing music. Not a great experience. My nail tech seemed genuine and sweet when communicating with me, just a very disorganized and slightly stressful environment.

This is honestly the worst nail salon I’ve ever been too. They do not take appointments and the wait is long. They will just tell you to walk in. I went for a pedicure my water was cold not even warm. I had to ask 3 times for hot water. They did not ask me what pedi I wanted he just tried to pick for me. I had to ask to see a pamphlet of the services they offered so I could pick my own pedi. Then the polish chipped the next day.

Came into Violet Nails as a walk in to get a pedicure since it was near me and I didn’t have time to go to my usual spot, that was my mistake. My pedicure felt rushed and my gel polish isn’t evenly coated. Didn’t get a menu of services they offer for pedicures. Maybe I just came in on a bad day? I’m not sure but it wasn’t worth $45. The upside is the salon is clean and I’m sure they do fantastic work. I saw some girls in there and their nails looked great. However, I’m disappointed it was rushed. If it was an issue of being a walk in and having another client, I could have waited.

I went to Violet’s Nail Salon and Spa and received EXCELLENT service. Violet and Ben were very friendly and I love the ambiance of the place. Violet was very welcoming and she even stayed late to service us with no problems. She made sure I was satisfied with my experience and she matched the picture almost identical to my nails. Ben made sure my nails were cleaned, shaped, and prepped perfectly! I will definitely be taking the extra 45 mins to go to my new nail place.

Needed to get a pedicure and this place was open near my house. This was THE WORST, fastest pedicure I’ve ever gotten! I had to ask the guy was he eve going to rub my feet. Everything felt rushed the water was already ran when I got to the chair, had no say on how hot I wanted it, he was done in like 15 minutes and to top it off the polish is peeling two days later. Will never come back here.

Best nail salon in Tallahassee! Violet was kind patient and took her time, she paid attention to every detail And now my nails look amazing! My nails were ruined by another nail salon, So when I came in and showed Violet, she took her time to redo my nails and made sure I loved them before I left her chair. Shes definitely someone that cares for her customers I will for sure be back!

I got my nails done here with gel and it was really good and great price. My sister on the other hand got a full set and it turned out AWFUL. I could have done better myself. It isn’t cleaned. There is nail polish all over her nail. It took the lady no time at all to do it and it shows how quick she was in the quality of the nail. Her nail is elevated. I’d definitely get my nails done with gel here again but never a full set.

The place was nice and big. They had enough staffing. I like the fact that I was able to walk in without an appt and not get turned around. The had secure measurements. I also like the fact that they had towels for you to wry your hands rather than napkins. My friend had an issue with her toe nail and they told her what it was and what to do. They are good! They even had a table with snacks, coffee and tea! The pedicure was really good, my feet are still soft as if it was yesterday!

Garbage!! Nails are different lengths and shapes, bubbles and nail powder in my nails.. She didnt not have me wash my hands before final steps.. Not sure of her name but stall 9..when I pointed out the shape she acted like she didnt understand, when I showed the cashier the bubbles and white powder in my nails he made out like it was normal.. Would give negative stars if I could... Absolute garbage

They do a great job with nails and designs, but I have never been to a salon that is so overpriced. Well, let me rephrase that; they provide the details on prices, but who charges $10 for shaping someones nails? I went in for a set and paid $95 and I am still confused on what they did for it to get to that price. I went in recently for a FILL and when I asked the guy fills are $20 and a cut down is $3 right? he agreed with me and then charged me $41 at the end because $20 for a fill, $3 for a cut down for each hand, and then $15 for adding paint to my nails . . . paint. I will not be going back, but hopefully this information is useful for somebody.

The atmosphere is so relaxing! Their work is impeccable above all other nail shops. I’ve been using them for a year now and each time I am left satisfied! This should be YOUR nail spot!!!!!

I walked out with beautiful nails, and Violet painted the design I asked for. But, do not come here without an appointment. And, definitely do not come here, if you are in a hurry. That was the longest time I have ever spent in a nail salon. The gentleman nail tech, did what seemed to be side work, in between the steps of my pedicure. It was so bizzar. I was in the shop from 11:00am-2:00pm. They started on my pedicure, at 11:20am.I felt like Lorain, in an episode of Seinfeld...I did not have an appointment, so I just went with it. Also....I did leave with very pretty fingernails and toenails.

I wanted to get a new set so i called to make sure i could still come in since they closed at six and i got out of work around 5:30. They called and said i could come in after six because they were so busy. i came around 6:15 to where they took me in and immediately started working. i told Violet the concept of what i wanted but told her ultimately she could do whatever as long as she followed the color pattern i wanted. she worked quickly and efficiently and in the end i loved the outcome. she even stayed late to make sure everything came out perfectly. definitely my favorite set to date 💙

Worst nail experience I’ve ever had. My natural nails are very strong and I just get gel on top but always keep them long. The man that did my nails filed my natural nails down with some electric drill rather than soaking my gel polish off and my strong nails that never break became paper thin and bending. I haven’t a nail break in probably over 6 months before this but less than a week after getting my nails done here three of my nails have already broken to the point where they’re bleeding and all the other nails feel like they’re about to break. He also burned me and the woman next to me with the drill and was switching between us between steps. Do not go here

Violet is a wonderful Nail Tech to have. She knows her stuff. She can do any and everything that you asked of her. She knows how to do all Designs Plus more and have your hands looking beautiful. Me and my friend did a walk in with 2 full sets, the wait was a little long but not bad considering they were pretty busy. Heather and mai were both lovely and did a wonderful job. I got a pretty simple set but by looking at their instagram it looks like they can do pretty much any design. Definitely coming back!

I went into Violet Nails at the suggestion of a friend. I got a pedicure and a dip manicure. I came in with acrylic nails that I wanted soaked off. They actually took the time to soak them, unlike other places that Ive been to where they will crack and rip my nails off. Violet did my dip nails and they are amazing. She is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. Along with being a great nail artist, she is an amazing person to be around. She is funny and nice and caring. I was really worried that my nails would be ruined under the acrylics and I would have have them chopped off and super short. Violet was able to keep my nails long and healthy. Honestly, Ive never had dip power done so well and my natural nails shaped how I want them. For my whole service it was only $75, which to me is an amazing deal seeing as how much care went into my nails. I will absolutely be coming back to see Violet.

This was my first time EVER walking out of a nail salon MID service. Violet nails USUALLY provides great service, but I am not sure why the ball was dropped today. Maybe it was the fact that the techs were too busy arguing among each other to provide adequate service😕. One patron even said they were arguing for about an hr before I came.I dont believe that I will be returning after my experience, especially since I waited for an hour and 30 mins with acetone on my nails before deciding to just leave (paid for my pedi).

Poor quality products. Already went into get my nails fixed once because I paid 5$ extra for their gel matte black and the matte did not even last a full night without bubbling and then preceding to peel off. Just got them redone and it is already happening again, but I will not be returning again to waste more of my time.

I got my nails done two days ago. I understand being quick but this Shellac fill in was done in 30 minutes and now I have two chipped nails. Very very disappointed. Live 3 hours from here. The tech was in the biggest hurry.

I had set up an appointment with Violet for 5:30 PM. This was my very first time going to this salon, and I was excited to get my nails done after a bad experience at another local spot (Do NOT!!! get Pam at Millenium at Bannerman) left my cuticles raw for a week. I arrived at the salon at 5:27, sat up front... and proceeded to wait for 30-40 minutes. Was not greeted or acknowledged by anyone the entire time I was there, and I sat directly in front of the reception desk. I saw a lady finishing up with a client, so I thought I was going to be able to ask about my appointment once she came up to cash her client out... instead, she immediately goes to another girl and begins to start on her nails. Checked my phone, saw it was 6 PM, and left. I had parked my car far down the street, too, so I wasnt even able to leave the area till 6:14. Ive never been treated like that before at a nail salon, and it felt horrible.Going to try different locations for now before going back to Violets Nail Spa. I just cant believe that happened to me.

Violet is absolutely the BEST! Have gotten gel manicures a few times from here and they always last me 3-4 WEEKS without chipping. Go here- you will not regret!

I am 99% sure my LV luggage tag was stolen off my purse when he ask me to go wash my hands. I did not go anywhere else that day and it couldn’t fall off. I called and asked if they had video cameras in the store and I got the run around. Never step foot in there again! Watch your purse!
