[5/23/21] Have been trying so hard to find a nice place to get my nails done in Tallahassee and I thought with such good reviews, this place would’ve been me striking gold. I was here for nearly 3 hours. My feet soaked for half an hour before anyone talked to me, and the pedicure itself took roughly 2 hours. WAY too long. Manicure took about an hour, and I went with gel. The manicurist was very nice and it’s nothing against her, but I have had my nails done for ONE day, and the gel on one of my nails is ALREADY lifting. I’m so disappointed in this. I really wanted nice nails for my birthday and I’ve spent way too much money and time on something that’s not even lasting a day after it was done. Feels like a major ripoff. Update [5/24/21]: Three have now completely peeled off! I just got them done two days ago!! worst nail experience ever.

My son and I went in as walk ins. Richard did my nails as I asked. Its been a week and they are still looking on point. My son got a pedicure as a small gesture for a mommy and son date. His remark... that was so amazing mom. Thank you 💅 La La

My manicure and pedicure session not only took 2x the max time I’ve ever spent anywhere, but the results were extremely disappointing.My cuticles were covered in the clear, hardened gel polish and half of my fingers have huge lumps and bumps in them. I asked if she could get a piece off that was dropped onto my finger and she said it will come off.She also had long nails so there wasn’t any massaging going on for the pedicure.The customer service was nice and welcoming but the quality was just not there.

Went to this place for the first time with my daughter who loves this place, I had a great time, my nails look great as do my eyebrows. This family has a great sense of humor. They were fast and efficient, didnt waste a moment. My daughter and I walked out with smiles on our faces admiring our nails.

For the first time, I decided to get my nails done and I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE. So, I read the google reviews and went there. First of all, cleaning was horrible. Place is so dirty. However, that wasnt the only problem. People who works there were so mean. I still cant believe that how they were treating to me and my friend who got a gel. Even though, I didnt like my nails at the end of the day, I was not able to say I didnt like it because I got scared. I am adding a photo of my nails and I took them as soon as I leave the place. If you look at it carefully, you will see the empty spaces between my nail and the gel. So, I wanna say it is the perfect place if you would like to have a horrible experience and pay $70 for it :)

Just moved to Tallahassee and was looking for a new salon. Saw this place had good reviews so decided to try it. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. I never ever write reviews but I was so upset with the quality of work for the price that I had to write a review. I made an appt for a dip powder and manicure, I come in on time sit down wait 15 mins after my appt time. I remind her I wanted dip and a mani, show her a picture. She immediately starts gluing on tips and I was confused because I thought all salons did a mani before started on dip but I let it go because everyone does things different. She’s rushing thru so fast and gets glue all over my fingers. Then after she glued the tips on she goes and works on someone else. Multiple times thru my appt time she goes and works on other ppl without using gloves and doesn’t wash her hands. Then she starts doing acrylic nails instead of dip! At this point I was pretty upset with the conditions of the place, it was gross and dirty that I decided I was just going to finish my service and not say anything because I don’t like to make a scene especially when there are other clients there. While I was there a lady came in who had been in the previous Friday and got an acrylic set done and all but 4 of her nails had already came off! Once she left my tech tried to tell me that she just bit at her cuticles and that’s why her nails came off.Throughout her applying my set she was so messy and got acrylic allll over my hands. It ran down my finger nails and got al over my knuckles and she didn’t even clean them up. Didn’t provide the mani service I requested and I paid 60$ for the worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. If she hadve just taken her time she would’ve done an amazing job. I was very upset upon leaving here and will never return because of the price I paid for the quality of service. I hope they see these recent reviews of poor service and apply them to improve their quality of work because the potential of great work is there but looks like they are more worried about the quantity of ppl they service over the quality of work.

Was there to get dip with tips on for over 3 hours and they were done so horribly and looked unfinished that I asked to just soak off and leave. There were bumps and patches on each nail, looking completely unprofessional. Even soaking off, the girl told me I was good to go even though there was still powder stuck on my nails and cuticles and this is how they were left. Even my natural nails got ruined. Definitely the worst nail salon experience I’ve ever had. However, the manager made sure I didn’t pay for anything, so I guess that’s the least they could’ve done.

Very, very disappointed. After all the hype this place received I was severely let down. The nail tech rushed through doing my acryllic set and you can tell, look at the pictures!The nail is uneven, polish is chunky, and theres even random dust particles in the polish. My nails are much longer on one hand, even though I asked several times to double check. On top of that, I saw not one single sanitation fluid. I watched and they use the same tools on each person without cleaning. It was quite run down looking as well and the table was filthy. And then they had the nerve to charge those expensive prices. I wont ever be back. I should have left as soon as I walked in.

Liked the staff- they were all super friendly. The manicure was mediocre for the price. The facility and chairs were not very clean. They were covered in nail file debris and sandy. During the pedicure I also got a gel manicure at the same time, having to twist by body for the entire appointment, which was very uncomfortable. I get why it would seem more efficient, but getting a mani/pedi should be relaxing and not leave a person with a stiff neck and back.**Update: the gel peeled off a couple of nails after washing some dishes when I got home the same day

The staff was very very friendly and welcoming. I originally asked for ombré but I guess there was some confusion but I still love what she did. They made sure I was okay with everything before proceeding with anything. I got my toes done by Kim she did an amazing job, she really took care of my toes like they were her on. I was just visiting the area but I know when I come back again where I’mGoing !!

I received a mani/pedi. Im from out of town and selected this salon because I saw 300+ 5 star reviews. The massage chairs were comfortable and massage relaxing, but my gel manicure turned out lumpy, uneven, gloppy looking. The lady that did the painting didnt know what she was doing as her colleagues had to explain to her a few times how to paint. When she was done I noticed she had gone over my nails onto my cuticles and it was gloppy and gross looking. If I was you, I would go elsewhere.

HEALTH INSPECTION SERIOUSLY NEEDED HERE!!!!When my mom and sister-in-law first walked in they thought it was a dump, but they wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, they were right on the first impressions. Both received fungus on their actual nails. My mother has toenail fungus after her pedi and my sister-in-law has it on her fingernails after her manicure. The pedi machine was unsanitary, as my mom saw brown particles floating in the water before placing her feet in. Also my mothers gel polish came off after 2 days. My sister-in-laws fingernail popped off as soon as she got home, because the glue didnt adhere.If I could give it 0 stars I would, but 1 star will just have to do.

Normally, this is my go-to spot but I had a different tech and she messed up my nails completely. (I just went a few days ago.) Ive never seen her there before, so Im not sure if shes new or just a friend or relative who has no prior nail tech experience.Ive never seen such a sloppy job. My infant could have done better.My nails are uneven, not smooth... lumpy gel polish. Its not clean at all. Even my toes arent done well.Other people have noticed and that is super embarrassing. Especially considering all the money I spent there. This is unacceptable.I wont be returning after this experience. Next time, Im going to Nail Country down the street.

I was really hopeful for this place because of all the reviews!! I got acrylics done w/ a really cute design. I got passed around between 3 different nails techs that were all very nice but i felt like some of the steps were getting skipped over from me getting passed through nail techs. I payed 120 dollars for nails that i loved but started to break off and come off within 2 days of me getting them done!!! this is very upsetting seeing as i payed so much. The staff was very friendly maybe just a busy day but upsetting that i got the repercussions of that ://

I received a service back in 2017 in our turn 2021. My nails are horrible. The shade, polish and the acrylic is horrible. They are not customer driven and it’s more of what they want to do. I have never been so disappointed with my nails in a long time. I wasted 50 bucks on a full gel set and it looks like my kindergarten or did my nails. The staff was friendly but very opinionated on issues that shouldn’t be discussed. I don’t have money to Waste and my nails is horrible. I would not be returning. This salon is a joke.

Recent vist here while in Tallahassee, my sweet daughter treated me to a pedicure, wasnt impressed. And it was very expensive!

The older lady that does pedicures is really good. She is amazing at her job. The manicures will vary greatly depending on the manicurist.

Service was terrible. Not sure if the lady helping me was having a bad day or just didn’t want to be bothered by doing my nails. Upgraded my pedicure to the Intensive one (#3)... waste of money. There is purple all over my toes and the nails are uneven. Manicure is even worse! Sooooo uneven and the shape is awful! I went in with healthy square with round edge nails and left with these. Didn’t even get polish and I had to pay full price. Going home to fix my nails and will not be coming back here.

The best and only place to get your nails done!! they always do a PHENOMENAL job and are super nice! I legit will not go anywhere else, I HIGHLY recommend everyone go here

There is literally no place like this. I was so impressed with the patience that Sofi had for me and my inability to decide on anything. They have so many options, and so many skills and truly work like a team. They can basically do anything you want (love working on long nails). They are funny and sweet and make you feel like they want you there. They did a phenomenal job on my nails. I live in Orlando and this experience was so good I could see myself making the 3.5 hour back next time I need my nails to look flawless!

My appointment was at 11:30 and I was helped right on time, the entire service lasted 45 minutes. The technician was extremely friendly and easy to chat with. She was meticulous, yet quick & gentle. I went to Nails La La because my regular person is on vacation, but now 6 months later its the only place I go.The staff is super friendly, warm and inviting. The pricing is reasonable and the experience makes me come back every time. I love the way Ming does my nails!

Took my daughter and her friend here for her birthday and I was not disappointed. Everyone was very sweet and provided great service.

I had a manicure and it was horrible! The polish did not cover my entire nail, it was chipping the next day and I think gel was used instead of regular Polish. It took 15 minutes to get it off. I had glitter over polish in two nails and there is a residue on my nail that I can’t get off. The skin and cuticles were barely trimmed and not even a massage. I was visiting for the weekend, but would not recommend this place. It was also very cramped and dirty looking.

My experience here was not a horrible experience. First, the good... The staff was nice and the technicians took their time to make sure my nails were painted and shaped to my liking. The pedicure was very short as it relates to the legnth of time. It wasn’t as detailed and exfoliating as I am accustomed. My feet didn’t soak long (maybe 5 mins) before being exfoliated for maybe 3-5 mins. This did not bother me at the time, as I regularly get pedicures and my feet were probably just not in need of much more. However, I feel that this should be noted, as most people pay for a pedicure to have the works. Now for the unfortunate... I also received an SNS fullset with gel nail polish, as recommended by technician for nail health. After only 4 days one of my nails just peeled/broke right off. I didn’t bump this nail or do anything strenuous. I stand now, almost 2 weeks later, and 5/10 nails have all just fallen off at the most random times. The most recent one just broke while washing my hands, absolutely no trauma. It’s the weirdest thing. I’ve had SNS, gel, and acrylic several times before and have never had this happened. They all broke off right where my real nail length ended. Having paid $130 tip included, for pedicure and full set, I am very disappointed with the outcome. As stated before, everyone was nice, and the nails “looked” great, toe nail polish looked great also. Unfortunately, the look was short lived, messing up after only 4 days. Thought I’d share in hopes that the staff is able to determine if a change in SNS powder is needed, or if gel polish with SNS is inappropriate. Whatever the reason, hopefully there is a resolution, so that no one has to experience anything similar, as it would feel like a huge waste of money.

Was met with a pleasant young man with no waiting. Tyrone did my first full set in over 5 years and it was enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was fresh, young yet welcoming.

Great service, they were fast and very fun to talk to. Will be coming back!

They do good work, but the staff is unacceptably rude. As I was getting a pedicure, the man doing my feet told me to put that nasty foot in the water (WHAT). Now, I am not the kind of person who walks into a nail salon with a diseased foot or ridiculously long talons for toenails, so I think he meant it jokingly, but it came across as very rude since I had never met him previously and we didnt have that kind of rapport. Then when I was getting acrylics on my fingernails, I would periodically check what my nail tech was doing and give her feedback, asking her to change the shape on a certain finger, adjust the length, what have you. She got irritated with me and told me to relax and that she knew what she was doing. Again, thats not how you talk to a customer - Im paying for a service and I have the right to (politely!) request the tech shape my nails in the way that I want. In the end, I was pleased with how my fingers and toes looked, but not with the level of customer service I received. Admittedly, this happened in March, but I havent returned because its not worth it to pay a lot of money and be treated poorly just to have good-looking nails. There are other places to go.

Honestly, I’ve looked for a nail place for 4 years while attending FSU. Every place in town has treated me so badly. This is the first place that has given me quality treatment and beautiful nails. I always go to Yeen she does the best job. She is also funny and sweet to keep you company. You can’t go wrong going to anyone here though. They are all so friendly and make beautiful nails.

Nails LaLa is my absolute favorite nail place in Tallahassee, and one of my all time favorites ever. Everyone that works here is extremely kind, super funny and makes the time pass quick! Emily does an incredible job and makes me feel right at home. The quality of material and service is the best in town. I love the jokes and laughs to be had here and appreciate feeling like Im with friends. I will be a lifelong customer if theyll have me.

They are friendly and do a beautiful job on nails. I would rate them 5 stars based on that, but the place isnt very clean and their equipment wasnt cleaned in between uses, or didnt appear to be. If it were cleaned I would love it! I will say the restroom was very clean.

A great shop, the staff is very nice and friendly which is rare for nail shops. The techs took their time and were pleasant! I really liked how my manicure and gel polish turned out and will def be back again!....So I wanted to post an update pic, this is 2 weeks later, my gel polish grew out but as you can see there was no lifting nor chipping!

I been coming here before the pandemic and after. Everything has always been cleaned wipe down. The workers always had a mask on, but now they enforce clients to wear it. I’m from Apalachicola and would drive two hours to get here for my nails EVERY two weeks. I have always felt safe coming here and never had an issue. The nails always comes out flawless and amazing. I would never go anywhere else.

Excellent service, Emily did a great job, was my first time coming here and I was in and out in no time but thats not to say I felt rushed, she knew what she was doing and did it well in a efficient manner, definitely come here if you want an A+ experience.

This is my second time here and I LOVE it! Everyone is super nice and Im always happy with my nails. The staff are funny and work really hard to get you all taken care of. When i went, they were all nice and all but the lady that did my nails didn’t even take her time and made my nails longer then what i told her to and made them with color patches with the acrylic she used. when she applied the acrylic it was all watery. my nails were burning. but other then that it’s a good place but i wish i had the other lady do my nails like she always does.

My daughter had her nails done at this salon and came home in pain from where the tech sliced straight across the bottom of her pinky finger, nowhere near her fingernail.- The tech said he accidentally slipped with the drimmel he was using to remove a simple layer of gel fingernail polish from her natural nails. The tech sealed the bleeding wound with a generic liquid bandage- They offered no soap/ water, antiseptic or even basic antibiotic ointment.I called and asked to speak with the owner regarding this matter since I felt the proper health protocols were not followed for this incident but I was only able to speak briefly to the manager who chose to be unprofessional and disrespectful by hanging up the phone rather than discussing the issues.

Great price point compared to other local salons. Ive been here twice so far. Ive gotten a classic pedicure and gel manicure both times. The polish job is great! No smudges or air bubbles. Cute atmosphere and great service. FYI- Ive had appts both times. Ive tried getting a day-of appt once but they were too busy. So I suggest head of time appt. Pic is 4 days after service.

I LOVEEE NAILS LALA! I’m so sad that I found this place in my last semester of school. I have literally tried EVERY NAIL salon in Tallahassee as an undergrad which is four years, and it’s a lot of salons. The staff here are sooo funny, detailed, and their customer service is the bomb! I drove back here to get my nails done for my trip to Puerto Rico from Miami. Love love!

I wish I could actually give it 0 stars! Nothing about this place felt like a business. It was like we walked in a dirty house and tried to get our nails done. It was extremely dirty, looked like it had never been cleaned before and the materials that was used on us looked like it had been used on 100 other people, never new or cleaned materials used on us. The guy laid on the floor to do my daughters toe nails and used the same supplies on my one daughter as he did on the other. I decided NOT to get my own nails done there and go somewhere more sanitary!!! And let me also add along with all of this is was double of what I normally paid for them to get there nails just painted!!!!!

I have been a loyal customer of Nails La La for 2 years now. The customer service is truly beyond compare. I primarily go to either Yen or Andy for my nails, but I have never had a negative experience with any of the amazing people who work there. They have perfected my nails for my engagement, my work events, my normal life, and my honeymoon. I highly recommend Nails LaLa to anyone looking for beautiful nails and a wonderful experience!

I really enjoyed my experience. The shaping is unmatched, my stiletto shape I can poke an eyeball out, and my coffin shape I can cut my cheekbone. I have always been treated kindly and I recommend coming here for anyone in Tallahassee. I’ll never go anywhere else.

I’ve been through so many salons in Tallahassee and none of them have been good. When I came across Nails La La I was so excited because the reviews were great and everyone seemed to have a pleasant experience. I was a little scared going to a salon during this whole pandemic but since the city enforced business with social distancing guidelines I felt a little more at ease. Unfortunately, I was disgusted with how this salon is operating. As I walked in, the wood floors were full of dust and the tiles were lifted. It literally looked like that place had never been cleaned - ever. There was not one Lysol spray, cleaning wipes, or hand sanitizer in sight. The chairs and equipment were all dirty ( again looked like they had never been cleaned before). No one was enforced to wear masks or sanitize before walking in, including the employees. There was also no spacing between any of the clients. As an essential worker, who is enforced to wear masks and follow protocol 8+ hours a day, I found it extremely upsetting that this business is allowed to be operating in such an unsanitary environment. This is part of the problem. I have no idea how they’re allowed to be open or how any one can still be doing their nails there. Extremely disappointed and definitely don’t believe the reviews you read online. Regardless of COVID 19, a nail salon should not be this dirty and not kept up with, especially with the prices they charge. If you like getting your nails done in filth then this place is perfect.

FIVE STARS! Emily is an expert! Was in from out of town and had not had nails a long time. Constant compliments because her work is so amazing. I did notice the price went up on my selected style from the time I walked in to the time I paid (was $55 and erased from chalkboard and changed to $60). Worth the investment and be sure to ask for Emily. Love her personality too! This is the only nail salon I will visit when in Tallahassee. Don’t let the outside fool you. Very beautiful inside and she makes your nails look perfect. Thanks again!

Great place

This was such a cute little house but it’s a nail salon. The prices were very reasonable. I came into town to visit and randy was so nice and funny and my nails turned out amazing you def turned my Sunday into a fun day. I will definitely come back and try out other services. Thank you for the fun experience at a nail salon. Props to the sister on having great staff while she was gone.

Nails oh la la is very professional they cater to their customers and are extremely friendly and patient. Family orientated and they really value their business.

They cut my toe. At first they applied pressure and disinfectant. When that didn’t stop the bleeding, the technician put nail glue on my open wound to try and stop the bleeding. When she was about to apply some other unknown liquid I stopped her and asked what she was doing and she didn’t even answer me. Very disappointed.On top of this, the salon was dirty and unorganized.

Place is filthy. Technician apron was dirty. Not friendly. I stopped while traveling through. Dont have to return

I went to Nails La La with a few friends for a gel manicure and pedicure. The store itself is really nice and clean, and the staff was welcoming and friendly! My nails turned out great and it was a positive experience all around. They even had a super fun photo booth in the back and offered free pictures of me and my friends with a super cute backdrop! Such a fun experience and will definitely be coming back!

I love this place. The man who did my daughters nails made them look great. 5 stars from me. Dont know why I didnt get mine done.👍🏽

Yen is the best. She took her time and didnt rush me. And all I got was a pedi! Ive gotten a full set (gel) here before and the shape (almond) was perfect and I didnt need a fill for nearly 3 weeks. It was great.

10/10 service would recommend over any other nail salon in Tallahassee. Wonderful and friendly staff, great location and perfect service. You will not be disappointed!!

I’m the person that wants to get my nails done spur of the moment, so I’ve been trying different salons around Tallahassee and this is the best one yet! When we first walked in the atmosphere is cute and cozy and someone greeted us immediately and asked if we had an appointment, and they got us in within 5 minutes even though we were 20 minutes early.I received Yen to do my nails and the whole time she was SO SWEET, I really enjoyed not only talking to her, but that she was so attentive to my nail preference and really helped me pick the right choice for me.Thank you so much!!!

Danielle always does a fabulous job. Love her attention to detail. I am a stylist and my hands are constantly in water. I have never had any problems with my nails while going to her. That speaks volumes! I cant say that any one time has ever been better than another. She is always on point!

I called ahead and made an appointment and they stayed true to the appointment time! They payed attention to detail and my nails look perfect! The best my nails have ever been done and I’ve been to a lot of nail places! The price is perfect! The customer service is great! I will definitely be coming back!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Nails La La. Yen is so quick and proficient, and my nails are always looking so good. Unlike a lot of nails salons, especially in Tallahassee, they actually really care about how their work turns out and it shows. My nails last so long and still look amazing. Highly recommend going here!
