About 2 weeks ago, my nephew had his first cut with Mike, it was great! I have told everyone about this Barber shop! Very clean pleasant peaceful atmosphere, even my nephew was impressed! He got a very neat clean fade cut, with straight hairline! Definitely will be back to see his favorite new barber!

My new home for haircuts in Syracuse. This place is a cool spot. The barbers are all nice and they banter and tease each other all the time so you even stay entertained while you wait. Theyve done a great job both times Ive been so far, and the cuts are reasonably priced.

Ever since I used this place, Ive been disappointed by any other barber I went to. Unfortunately I dont live in the area any more, and this might be the thing I miss most about Syracuse. The staff is great, not only in their abilities, but their attitudes too. It always seems like they enjoy working there, and it translates to the positive environment in the shop. If youre going to do a walk in, though I suggest either getting there when they open, or going around 1pm, when most people are busy.

THEY MOVED a block down the road to the main part of Westcott Street! Another barbershop moved into their old location... DO NOT BE FOOLED or MISLED by the new people in their old location! I have been getting my haircut here since 2016. Doug, Colleen, Bone, and Mark are the REAL OGs of Westcott St.! Hands down the BEST BARBERSHOP IN THE CUSE!!!!!

Just got done with my first visit to westcott barber shop. Mark Bloss was who I booked an appointment with for a haircut and beard trim (more than a trim). Great guy, very professional, excellent Barber. You cant go wrong with these guys. Really good laid-back vibe to the shop cant wait to return. Thank you Mark I really appreciate your excellent work.

One of my first goals moving to Syracuse was to find a solid barber shop and thats exactly what I found at Westcott Barber. There is always a fun and welcoming environment when you enter. I would definitely recommend making appointments ahead of time as they have long wait-times for walk-ins, but its long because theyre so popular! Its a really great place to go and I cant see myself going anywhere else. They are thorough in their work and intentional with making sure you have the best experience possible.

The worst customer service Ive ever experienced. One of the guy take 2 hours to cut my husband hair. He was just talking with his friend instead of doing work. You have a camera you can check it how long he take to cut his hair?

I had a rough idea of how I wanted my new hairstyle to look and Doug was able to run with the idea and I love the final results. My facial hair never had it so fancy! This place will give you a detailed, modern style hair cut, or will just give you a touch up if thats what youre looking for. On top of the quality and professionalism, they are competitively priced; i.e. with Super Cuts. There is no set time they adhere to when completing a cut, they take their time and make sure that you are completely satisfied with your look. They usually are booked for weeks in advance (due to the high demand for top tier work). I have also seen people wait 2+ hours on the off chance someone cancels. If that doesnt illustrate the exemplary service and quality, I dont know what will. The business is locally-owned and operated. The owner/manager is always working along side of the employees, with none of the haughtiness and aloof behavior associated with a successful business owner. Westcott Barber Shop is the gold standard of quality and service. They give you the bespoke service and personal care I cant recommend it enough. 12/10, you wont regret giving them your business.

Went there for the first time today and was very pleased. Ive been looking for a good haircut place all year and I finally found this place (wish I found it earlier). Doug was the one to cut my hair and he did an amazing job with it. I wanted a certain combed back/pomp look with a fade and he knew exactly how to cut it. He even gave some good recommendations on how to improve it all while focusing on the details. I would definitely recommend this place.

This place is a great local barbershop. Cheap especially considering how much effort the guys put into making you look good. It can be a busy place and you may have to wait but as long as I schedule an appointment I never wait over 30 minutes. I have never been to a barbershop where you havent had to wait from time to time. The atmosphere is great too.

I did one time get a good haircut here, and I understand a wait time when its walk-ins only on a Saturday, but when theres 4-5 people waiting why would two of the barbers just up and leave? I get family commitments and responsibilities but at least put up a sign if the wait is going to get longer the longer I sit there patiently! An hour and a half and no mention of it to me at all.

I always regretted getting my hair cut until I started coming here. All of the barbers are great people and good company. I have gotten my hair cut by each of them and they all do a better job than anyone else Ive been to. Doug even gave me an umbrella one time so that I didnt have to walk back to class in the rain. 5/5 always a good time and a great hair cut

The worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Ive lived in four or five cities in different parts of the U.S. and been to 30 or 40 shops. This is by far the worst. Firstly, this is an appointment only place. However, they dont advertise it that way. If you are a walk in you will be ignored. I mean completely ignored. Secondly, while waiting you will be subjected to ignorant and crude commentary on any and all subjects as the barbers debate amongst themselves acting as if patrons do not exist. No hello, no expected wait time, no acknowledgement whatsoever. They may be skilled but its not worth the anguish to find out. Just go somewhere else

So I went in knowing that I had a tight schedule and the barber there (didn’t get his name but is an awesome dude) cut my hair in literally 10 minutes when it should usually take a lot more time, just so he could fit me in. Very friendly people, I will definitely come again. Highly recommended.

I messed up my own appointment time with J, so i was worried about could not have my hair cut. But D the owner i think, helped me out and asked me a lot about how i want my hair be done. after really long time, i have my hair perfectly done. the atmosphere there is super cool and music is good too. so i highly recommend to go there. but if you are allergic to fun bar tender jokes and great hair cut, then a hair salon is better.

Colleen McBroom did such a great job on my teenage sons haircut that I took a chance and went in for a womans haircut. Love it! Then I found out that my mother also goes to Colleen! We love Colleen! Westcott Barber is convenient, reasonably priced, and were keeping it local!

Barbers are absolutely incredible. Didnt get a fancy haircut myself due to time, but definitely saw them doing excellent work on other customers while I waited. This is the barber shop I wish I had in my home town, and am disappointed I did not have the time to go all out on an excellent haircut. Barbers are very friendly and willing to help you out.

This is a DOPE barbershop. These guys are so legit.Westcott barbershop is not some fancy, gimmicky kind of place. Its a nitty gritty barbershop where you go in, bust each others chops, and leave with a damn good haircut.They actually care about how you look and feel when you get out of the chair. You never see these guys blowing through haircuts just to get people in and out the door.. that being said, make an appointment. Youll thank me later.I, personally, am a beard guy. I first stumbled upon this shop looking for someone to trim my beard and thats it. Doug made me look like a suave Abe Lincoln AND then made my head hair look cooler than I even thought it could look.As long as I live near the Syracuse area, I wont go to another shop.

I moved over to Syracuse from Colorado because of school, and one of the things I had to establish was my new usual barber shop. I hadnt cut my hair in like two months, so I had a mop on my head. One of my buddies recommended WestCott and I wasnt disappointed at all. Its a dope vibe with real barbers.

Great experience with Doug at this barber shop. For $15 ($16 credit) you get a haircut worth that, including edging with a razor. He took the time to have a good understanding of what I wanted and did it right even with a small line. Shop also has a small range of homemade products for hair and shaving at good prices. Nice small business, modern barber shop atmosphere.These guys just took over shop from an existing barber and are trying to build a good clientele base. Id definitely recommend them and Ill be sticking with them while Im in the area.

Moved to Syracuse about a year ago. I’ve been loyal to my home barber for the last 16 years and was more than nervous finding a new barber. I stumbled upon Wescott Barber after trying a few different places. It is by far not only the best haircut I’ve gotten in Syracuse, but also the best haircut I’ve ever gotten in general. They have about 5 or 6 barbers who I would trust with my hair any day. Also, they take walk-ins on Saturday which is clutch. Would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a nice trim.
