If you are looking for a quick and cheap hair cut this is the place. The place is not fancy and you get what you pay for. This place gets really busy during weekends. You can call them before and book an appointment this way you dont have to wait. Or if you walk in just write your name on the wait list and go for grocery shopping in the nearby Indian grocery shop.

If you want a great haircut for a great price for yourself or your kids, look no further. Tony is truly gifted and was able to execute exactly what was needed even when I was not able to describe it fully. He won over my 3 yo who was nervous and I had to drag into the place. Tony made him feel totally comfortable and did an amazing job. As we were leaving, my son said I love that guy and ran back inside to say bye along with a high five and a hug. We live in LA but whenever we are visiting family in Santa Clara it will now be a tradition to get a cut at Hair Focus!

Ive been going to this unbelievably inexpensive salon for many years and have been very pleased with their service. The owner Mai is very pleasant, skilled and attentive as are her staff. Her son Tony is a favorite with many customers and is also available on appointment so that theres no waiting time. There are often folks waiting especially on weekends though turnover is quick. Most of the clients are from the Indian subcontinent (after all, this shopping area and eating places are Indian-centric, and besides Indians know the value of a good thing!)

Loyal customer for 2years now and will continue to do so. Tony is the best!

I wanted a haircut with Fade on the sides & asked for taper at the back. The barber replied - “fade & taper same thing” - I thought he understood. Haircut finishes. Ends up giving a square back. When I protest, he says “you should have said - natural, no line” Ends up giving me a rushed service. I storm out.Isn’t that common terminology? Taper at the back means no line!! Even if you don’t know, you’re supposed to ask & confirm.I appreciate this shop for the value it provides at $8. But listening to customers, is that asking too much?! He didn’t had to write me off like that. Had he listened, I wouldn’t be writing this negative review

A nice place for a reliable haircut, at a good price ($10 with tip). Not a 5 star rating due to the more self policing line system, which leads to people having to remember when they got there. Would be much simpler to have a sign in sheet instead.

Pros : Worth for money. Have tried quite a lot of salons in San Jose. This is the only place I get a consistent cut. Almost all barbers working here do a decent job. If you get the old man to work on your head, consider job well done.Cons: not so clean. Usually there’s a wait time but fast moving queue.

Came in because of the seemingly good reviews, waited 10min for my turn, and after it’s done I now feel ashamed to go to work next Monday. It’s that bad. Would rather paid triple the price to redo it somewhere else.

Standard haircut is holding steady at $8 per person for last 25 years - Inflation has not held this place for quarter of a century!! Nowadays for two male barbers you need to make reservations and have to pay more

Extremely rude staff and a very unhygienic place. Would give it 0 stars if I could.Went there once and sat in the chair. There was a tape recorder in the front whose antenna was right in front of my face blocking my view in the mirror. I politely asked the old guy to move the antenna. Not sure what got into him, he rudely replied I will not move anything from my station and asked me to go somewhere else.Would not recommend this place at all.

I think this is cheapest hair saloon for adults in bay area with $8 per cut. Some of them do beard trim for $5. They greet n treat the customers well. Avg waiting time is 15-20 mins and avg hair cut time is 7-8 mins

Nice people and cheap hait cut. The only person who does proper hair cut is Tony and rest others do the average cutting.

Horrible hair dresser .I got my hair done here .The person has no respect for customers. He is so rude and bad mouth.After he messed up my hair I asked him to fix my hair and he said I will cut your ear and ... .It initially surprised me but later when he continued I got very bad impression of him.Overall this shop sells that they charge only $8 but they took $10 from me because at their payment desk they have written $8 to $12. $10 is Ok as long as cut is Ok. This is a lesson for me that paying less can cost you double because one has to either pay another shop to get things fixed or wait for a month or more to get his next cut. Beware of this shop:(

The young guy thinks too much of him. Treats customer like anything. He seemed to have been doing a good job among all other barbers and this has taken to his head. Most of the other barbers especially the lady barbers are worst.

Worst hair cut i had in my life. The man who cut my hair took 4 min to cut the hait. I asked three time to cut it evenly and the guy who cut the hair told me that in $8 thats all we can do. I had a good hair cut last time by some lady. But this time it was really bad. I will recommend bot have hair cut from this man. Even he didnt tell me his name when i asked for.
