This lady is amazing. She is thorough, honest and fairly priced. I had her alter my wedding dress 7 years ago; because I trust her work I turned to her again for my bridesmaid and matron 9f honor dresses. Mrs. Linda never disappoints.
I took my bridesmaid dress to Linda and she was very quick and precise with taking measurements. She called me with my finished dress in less than 2 weeks, super fast turn around. The altered dress was perfect! I am so happy with Lindas work. She is so sweet and takes great care of the clothes. I highly recommend using Linda for your alterations!
Ms. Linda is super sweet. She does fantastic work in a timely manner at very reasonable prices.
Linda is a very nice and professional lady. She did alterations on my wedding dress and pressed it for me. Everything fit great and we communicated very effectively to get the fit just how I wanted and get the bustles of my dress just the way I like them. I had a ribbon added to my dress to use as the lace for my corset-back, she hemmed the ends for me so they wouldn’t fray.In spite of the fact that I told her she had plenty of time(wedding is in Oct) she had it completed quite fast. I think it only took 5 weeks, which is great considering how many layers she was working on!She is very up front about pricing so there are no surprises, of course prices DO change if you change what you’re asking for, however the prices are extremely fair for the work she is doing.Thank you Linda! I’m excited to walk the aisle in my gown!
I came to Sewing by Linda with a VERY complicated lace wedding dress that needed taken in several sizes. I was worried that the dress may be too complicated to alter to fit me but Linda was able to make it perfect!! She is extremely professional and really an expert at what she does. She had my alterations done very quickly and for a great price! She really took time with me to make sure that the dress was perfect and exactly what I wanted. I would recommend Sewing by Linda to anyone who needs alterations and I’ll definitely be coming back!
Beautiful and timely job. I had some wide-legged pants (very slippery fabric) hemmed. Linda is not only warm and personable, but her work is high quality and well worth the price - and the walk up the stairs. 😃
Everything seemed fine when I dropped off my dress during drop off hours...but everything changed when I was called back a few days after to try my dress on. When I arrived at my 4pm appointment, I had to wait for 20 to 30 minutes because someone else was trying on their dress during MY scheduled appointment time. Linda had said I wasnt sure if you were coming around 4 or. . .? The woman in the dressing room was about to try her OTHER dress but she told Linda I could step out and put on the next dress out here while she gets her fitting done. I found that ironic seeing as Im the one scheduled for the fitting that she is having. Although my infant and husband were waiting in the car, I kept my composure and continued on waiting for my fitting while my other child patiently waited as well. After my fitting, I said to Linda that it was not the length I requested and I then asked for it to be changed. I had also given her great news that the event in which I needed the dress was rescheduled for a later time. Even then, Linda rudely replied that she cant do it. She stated that she would have to start all over and that she will be willing to do it sometime later. I replied Great, I can schedule for later. When could I return?. She then replied LATER. AFTER your event. *Interesting: Why would Linda call me back in to try a dress on if she was truly unable to change it? Why call me in to try the dress on in the first place? It was clear that she simply did not want to work on my dress. She then gave me a rude stare and sent me on my way. The entire time I felt rushed and as if I were an inconvenience. I paid $35 and the dress was not nearly what I wanted, nor was I kindly welcomed nor shown good customer service throughout my experience. Linda, please try to treat ALL your customers with the same courtesy and kindness. Remember that even the paying customers who ask for a mere hemming service deserve even minimal courtesy and respect in return. Its only fair. I had taken my dress to another local shop and was given wonderful quality service with great kindness and hospitality. I will continue to return to and recommend that alteration shop to my family and friends as well. I do NOT recommend Lindas alteration.
Linda made my wedding gown perfect and did everything in such a timely manner! She’s a very kind person who knows what she’s doing when it comes to alterations! So happy with the work she did
She definitely made my dreams come true. I just knew I would have to buy a new dress a month before my wedding. Linda made sure my dress was done in advance and update me each time she completed a portion of the alterations. No one wouldve ever known that I could not even fit the dress a month before my wedding. I appreciate everything she did.And it was way cheaper than Davids Bridals outrage pricing!
I recently brought my wedding dress to Linda which needed work EVERYWHERE. She was so friendly, works fast and the pricing was right where I expected. The dress fits perfectly now and I cant wait to walk down the aisle with it on in a few weeks! Thanks Linda!
I was looking forward to writing a good review until I received my bridesmaid dress. The first time I went in to have my dress taken in and hemmed we discussed a price. At that time I did not have my shoes and was to return when I had the shoes I was going to wear. When I went in the second time I put the dress on and realized it was still too big. I asked Linda about this and she said if we took it in any more that it would be too tight on me and that once she hemmed the dress maybe it would look better on me. Also at that time we never discussed any other charges than the initial one we discussed. My husband went to pick up the dress and it was nearly double the price she originally told me. When I called Linda to discuss this she stated she usually tells people and wasnt sure how I didnt get this information. Needless to say I was upset and tried to console with myself with thinking that maybe my dress would look good and be maybe remotely worth what I paid.I got home that evening and tried on my dress. It had been nicely pressed as she promised and it was taken in and hemmed. Except there were yellow markings left on the dress where she marked it to cut/sew and it was still too big. Now one day before we have to leave for the wedding I am having to take my dress to ANOTHER seamstress and pay someone again to have my dress fixed. My wedding dress was a designer gown by Lazarro with a scalloped hem and covered in beading. I had my wedding dress hemmed, bustled, a corset put in, and had the dress taken in for less than what I paid Linda. The bridesmaid dress I brought Linda was nothing compared to my wedding dress so it is completely unbelievable that it would cost so much.I gave Linda two stars because she is very nice and Im sure she has done other work that was better than what she did with mine.
I had Linda taylor a pair of jeans for me awhile back. Not only did she do a fantastic job, the price was very reasonable and turn around time was great considering how busy she is! I would suggest her to anyone with alteration needs!
Very pleasant and professional. And reasonable
Linda did a great job as usual! She squeezed me in last minute for a brides maids dress that I needed hemmed. I will continue to use her for all my alterations.
She breathes new life into old clothes!
Linda was wonderful to work with- she made my wedding dress fit like a glove! I would recommend her to any Bride!Thank you Linda for your amazing service.
Gorgeous work and a great eye for detail, I couldnt be happier with my wedding gown
Took my prom dress here last year, and she made it perfect for me! Even though she had soo many other prom dresses at the time, she finished mine in less than two weeks. Definitely bringing anything else I need altered to her!
Linda was super helpful and very accommodating in my time of need. She explained her process and was very forthright in her process. Ill definitely be using her for future needs!
Linda always does an amazing job on all of my clothing that I need altered.
Linda did a great job hemming my dress. Super friendly!
For my second prom, I decided to go with a professional seamstress instead of the family option weve always used. Seeing the 5/5 rating with people saying the pricing was good and the turn around time was great,I was hoping Id end up with a good experience. I brought my dress in a month prior to my event thinking it would take roughly two weeks for her to finish the job. During my original appointment, we asked for an estimate for time and pricing and she wasnt able to give either. After 4 weeks, I was worried when I hadnt heard back from her and called to see when the dress would be done. According to her, She hadnt even started on it. Ironically, I had a friend whose prom was a week before mine and got hers back within two weeks of bringing it in to Linda. I dont think it was fair that mine was double the time when I brought it in much earlier. I called her a week later and she said she still hadnt gotten to it but that the pricing would be around $165. This is more than double what I would normally pay for the same job and I was very dissapointed in the ridiculous pricing. It was too late by that time for me to take it anywhere else and so I paid the price and learned the hard way to stick with the people I know. Despite my problems,She did do a good job on the alterations. Was it worth the hefty price I paid though? Absolutely not. Needless to say, I will not be returning.Update: The hem job she did completely fell apart while I was a Prom and became tattered.
She does good work.
She was unable to put a sew a letter on a letterman jacket!!!
Rude to smokers, and surly did not care about my needs, will not go back!
