My husband and I visiting from out of state always try to find the best pedicure place when we are in Houston (our home town) and tried this place out. Let me begin with how this disaster went down:1. I showed Ly a photo of what I wanted, she told me to go get the colors. I told her there wasn’t one that was even close to matching ( there were only 4 shades of blue) she said “yeah none match”2. I sit down and she begins. About 10 minutes in I notice I’m not getting the things on the pedicure description I paid for the herb spa deluxe pedicure $60. I stop her and show her the list and ask why these aren’t being done? She said she’s sorry and did the wrong pedicure. I said okay..... so what are we doing? She said she could throw in a paraffin wax I said no thanks. I wanted the herbal soak and hot towel etc etc.3. I then said okay so can you even do the picture I showed you earlier? She said “no, sorry we don’t do any designs” ( a simple white flower and French tip” I showed her the website where it says they do “nail art” she said no. They don’t.So basically I went in, didn’t get what I scheduled in terms of the pedicure I specifically asked for AND she said she wasn’t able to do any kind of art as described on the website.Do not go to this place. It was the worst pedi I’ve had in my life honestly. It was done quickly and not even what I requested..... all they had to say was “I’m sorry my mistake”The top is what I asked for the bottom is what I received.

I will never be going back to this place, this place needs to be given a surprise visit by TDLR. Sanitation procedures arent being followed at all.I was given a gift certificate, when I visited the first time was skeptical but I thought I was being to picky. Then second time I just could not believe she used the same tools from my feet on my hands. When she took the tools out to use them on my feet she took them out of the her tool cart. The paper file she used looked used. And now she was using those used, dirty items on my hands. My stomach my was not feeling well, my head was spinning. I had been gardening I left some of the dirt under my nails thinking I was going to get pampered, but she left the dirt under my nails and didnt fix a split nail too. I told her that there was dirt under my nails and to the split nail. I mentioned she was using used nails. She got a new new file. I didnt want my daughter to call me a Karen so I had been holding back. I finally texted her what was going on and she agreed that it was not right to get up and leave. I got up and went to the reception to pay for the difference from what was left from the gift card. I told the guy sanitation procedures werent being followed. He said I didnt owe anything. I left in a hurry feeling disappointed and disgusted.

From start to finish it was an amazing time!!! The staff was super friendly and inviting keeping us laughing during the mani pedis and the pictures!! Emily was so kind and very helpful!! Peter was amazing answered all my questions before booking and they made sure to accommodate us all at the same time!! I definitely recommend this place for anybody looking for a spa day!!

I adore this place. The packages are super reasonable and the quality and professionalism of their work is fantastic. I look and feel so much better after coming here- the infrared sauna, massage, facials, mani/pedi- its worth every penny. I cant wait to go back! Last time I took my daughter and we made a day of it together- I highly recommend this place.

I really want a refund. My nails are shaped horribly. Some parts are how they should some parts are too high. My nails are growing out and the thick filler is getting caught on stuff, but not every mail because they’re not uniformly bad. I would have stayed to get them fixed at the time but a bad nail job took almost 3hours, I couldn’t imagine how long a good set would have taken. Oh, and she didn’t touch my cuticles and it took that long Im truly displeased and will not be returning.

First time getting a service. I was looking for a great place for a facial and was not disappointed. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted, asked If we want a water or wine and talked about the different facial packages. Each facial application was described and explained of its benefits. I really liked knowing what was being applied to my face. The result, was my face looking and feeling cleansed and shiny. Great service. Definitely recommend.

I recently found this wonderful spa after needing lymphatic massage. What a fabulous place. I never really frequented day spas but now I have found a very friendly and professional place. Heather is just awesome. She manages the spa and is so knowledgeable and intelligent and a joy to be around. Looking forward to trying other services. Thanks so much.

I decided to treat myself for my birthday on 7/7 with a full-service massage,facial, mani/pedi. Everything was perfect until it was time for mani/pedi. I had to literally tell the nail technician that she left old color on my nails and still had debris underneath my nails! I shouldnt have to tell a professional nail tech how to do nails, especially if Im dropping 200 bucks on the first visit. Its only been 2 days and already the color is coming off! Im giving this place 2 stars because of the masseuse and the nice facial. I wont be coming back to this place!

I have been coming to Shea Essance Day Spa for about a decade now and the ladies there are like family. Natasha and Heather who work the front desk and answer the phone are very nice and helpful when I am making appointments. I have done a vast assortment of services at the spa and have not been disappointed. Linda who is an esthetician is wonderful. She is very accommodating to my sensitive skin and makes sure I don’t break out. Ly who is a nail technician is also fantastic. She takes special care of my feet since I have bunions and ingrown toenails and ensures to keep my toes looking and feeling great. Ly also waxes my eyebrows and does a great job at it. Since I have sensitive skin she makes sure I don’t break out or turn too red after my wax. The massage therapists there are great as well. They really concentrate on the areas that you ask them to and work out the kinks.Overall the spa is very clean, relaxing, and the staff are amazing. I only trust these ladies to do my nails and eyebrow waxing. I highly recommend coming to the spa and treating yourself to a little rest and relaxation.

I got a first time facial done here. Heather was esthetician. She was quick and thorough with her work. Really put in effort on my horrible skin which I could see right away. The spa itself is a very inviting and relaxing space, well maintained and clean. And the best part was no hidden charges like some spas I’ve been to!! Everything was upfront and heather gave really honest advice which I really appreciate being a novice in skin care. She also walked me through the steps as the facial progressed which I’ve never seen happen. It’s just good when you’re in the know about what’s going onto your skin and how it helps. Will be coming back again for sure.

It was the first time that I was getting my nails done ever, and I was so excited to go to this spa because of all the great reviews that I read online. However, the service did not meet my expectations. I called the spa the day before I went to ask about the services and spoke to Heather, who was very nice and explained the process and prices appropriately. However, when I went to get my nails done the next day, another staff member was present. Although she was very nice, she did not do my nails properly. I asked for a white tip manicure and pedicure. As she was finishing my nails, she asked me if everything looked okay, and I showed her a couple places where the polish was uneven and clearly messed up, and she proceeded to tell me that it would take forever, at least another 30-40 minutes, to fix one fingernail with the messy polish. She also stated that it had been messed up because I touched two of my fingernails together (which is not true because then BOTH fingernails would have been messy, and I saw her trying to fix the one fingernail that was messy while she was doing my nails). I thought that was very rude considering I spent $40 on just getting nails done. The price is not the issue, but if I am paying that much for a service, I think a little effort is expected, especially if the staff member knows that she messed up the polish but was just too lazy to go back and fix it. I would not return to this place to get my nails done or for any other service if this is the attitude and work ethic of the staff.

Just moved to Sugar Land and needed a place to unwind. I decided to give this day spa a try because of the high rating from previous clients. Its true !!! Absolutely satisfied with all the services. Atmosphere was very relax and peaceful. All staff members were extremely nice and friendly. This is my place from now on :)

Absolutely amazing!! Please ask for Heather or Natasha! These ladies make you feel welcome and they attend to your every wish. Lunch was amazing, massage was the best I have had in the U.S., mani/ pedi was so relaxing I almost went to sleep. Great clientele, mimosas, and treatment packages! It is worth saving a few coins to treat yourself every month. Couples massages available as well. I will be returning with my Mom, my girlfriends for a girls day, my old man, and a great gift for my baby brother! Do yourself a favor and make an appointment asap. You wont regret it at all!

I use Shea Essence Day Spa every time I feel stress starting to work its way into my shoulders and back. Their location is very professional, always clean and the staff constantly goes out of their way to ensure you’re experience is amazing. I highly recommend this location. I have been going there for almost two years, at least every other month for a massage, and I’ve yet to have a bad experience. Although I’m sure all of the Masseuses are highly qualified and talented, I use Theo as she is able to combine both firm and relaxing techniques, the stress melts away and no pain the next day (I’ve been to other spa’s and had bruising the following day). Great Place!!!!!!

Let me start by saying my expectations were far exceeded! EVERY staff member was extremely professional and kind. My husband and I went for couples massages he got a relaxing message and I got a prenatal. I had Billie and he had Emily and they were both amazing I highly recommend them. It was truthfuly the most relaxing message, it was not rushed, and very detailed. These girls are great at what they do. Having had a message at a larger more expensive boutique I would choose them instead anyday.

Ive been going here about once a month for over a year. Always welcoming and friendly staff, clean and relaxing atmosphere, and good service at a good value. Heather is awesome - truly cares and takes good care of me and the business.
