He does a lot for his community and for under privileged children in other countries. My 10 year old son has been attending VTC for two months now and I can already see a difference in his confidence. The coaches at Valor are all well trained and pay close attention to every detail. The coach to student ratio is exactly what we were looking for.The facility in Stockton is safe, clean, well lit and fully equipped with the best training products. We have seen boys, girls, men and women of all ages training hard and having fun. The place is full of energy!!I encourage anyone looking to improve their health, drop a few lbs., learn self defense and or compete at the highest level to come by and take a look for themselves. You won’t be sorry!Thank you VTC for all you do. We are truly proud to be part of the family.

In the beginning it was cool and chill as the people are understanding, caring and passionate about teaching their students about how to fight. Over the course of being there I have myself become passionate about the fighting style and keep coming back to learn as much as possible. I have become soo passionate about it that I actually want to try to compete in their fights and have been training at the gym and at home to prepare myself.

It was then that I decided after a couple of months of following them on social media that this was going to be the place my daughter would train after months of her asking me to sign her up for boxing or some type of fight training. My daughter has been a member in training here since November of 2018 now, and she absolutely loves every second! Staff members are extremely nice, organized and very welcoming. If you want to see a boost of physical, and self esteem confidence in your children, or even yourself this is definitely the place to be training! Not only are you getting fit while learning the best of self defense, youre getting the best of Muy Thai training, boxing, and awesome cardio bag rush training and more from the best of the best trainers out there! Were talking world champion training! There isnt anywhere else that I know of that offers more than one type of training all in one place. We have been blessed enough to have access to all their training classes that they have to offer and have met some of the greatest people! Sadly, well be moving to Modesto area soon and although we still have plans to move forward with the training center; wed LOVE to see a training center open up in the Modesto area to eliminate having to commute in the evenings. I was introduced to Valor roughly a year and a half ago by my dad. I was 15 with not much self confidence, no athletic ability whatsoever, and had no idea what Muay Thai was for that matter. The staff there was eager and determined to change all of that, I never felt embarrassed for not understanding a drill or messing up at all and by the time my second day of training came I was welcomed like I’ve been there for years! Coach Jesse and Clifton never once forgot my name and always made sure I was understanding every concept we learned. As time went on I was invited to train with the fight team lead by Kru Patrick Rivera who made sure to introduce me to all the the fighters. Now I am in just about every day and have competed multiple times. I’ve been to other martial art gyms before and they will never and I mean never top what Valor Training Center has to offer. And I’ve surveyed several Muay Thai Gyms on the West and East Coasts of the United States, Australia, Singapore, and have been living, training, and fighting in Thailand for the past two and a half years.Valor Training Center (VTC) is a great environment with knowledgeable trainers who take the time to make sure everyone is training safely and to the best of their ability. Whether youre a beginner, amateur, or pro fighter, attention, assistance, and reliable feedback is given to those who need it throughout each entire class, making sure everyone is able to learn and get the training they need while meeting each student at their current level. All of the trainer’s fun and friendly personalities create a positive, upbeat atmosphere and the current students are very friendly and welcoming of new people. All egos are checked at the door providing for safe space to feel comfortable learning and to grow. After witnessing the level of technical skill, mental composure, and work ethic of VTC’s fighters in the ring, I felt as if I were still in Thailand. VTC’s approach to training is exceptional, hands down. With Kru Patrick’s years of experience in Thailand, passion for driving the needle to expand, grow, and enhance the sport in America, and a team who is continually growing to perfect their craft to the ability to make sure to provide the best training, the level of talent and skill being developed at this gym is only going to increase. Already home to a number of IFMA champions, VTC has a handful of future Olympic Medalists for those who continue to pursue their career in the sport.I remember also being impressed by Kru Patrick’s ability to remember every new students name even from the first day, making you feel instantly a part of his family. He really believes in making YOU better, happier, and proud of your results. The benefits of Muay Thai training β€” ranging from physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual β€” are endless. My kids, they have been through so much at such a young age. Their spirits and confidence were broken down by others and it broke my heart to see them experience those kinds of emotions. They had built a wall and werent open at all to others. Without knowing it or even trying, the coaches at Valor were able to break that wall down.I cannot emphasize how grateful I am for the amount of respect they show my kids. Since the moment we walked in, they were everything we were looking for in an instructor. They didnt need time to grow on my kids at all. They respect my kids and my kids respect them back. All the coaches have a way with the kids and I could not be happier with them. VALOR definitely has the best!I am extremely thankful for Coach Tony and Kru Pat. They go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, to make sure every single question we have is answered, and to make sure we feel right at home with Valor. My kids look up to them, as do my husband and I. They are great leaders who instill the kind of values and confidence I am proud to see in my kids.My kids used to second guess themselves around others, fearing they wouldnt be liked. But because of the respect the kids, coaches, staff and families at Valor have shown my babies, they now walk with a new found confidence that has them proud of who they are. This is from the people alone. The sport itself brought out a realization I knew was coming but feared for years. The realization that they are not babies anymore. Its bittersweet but their muay thai lessons has shown us all that they are growing up. I see them in class with such concentration, focus and excitement and I cant help but smile because it brings me joy to see them so happy. I have never seen them take so much interest in a sport. And honestly, I am happy to see them so active.VALOR has made a huge impact in their lives and were looking to stick around for the long run. Weve even decided to make this a family activity, my husband is next to sign up! And kids are already pumped and ready for competitions. I’m very selective when it comes to making choices. When I searched for a Martial Arts facility I found myself picking through a sea of options. Valor stood out for three major reasons: 1) Their family style atmosphere, 2) Their attention to their fighter’s & student’s needs and 3) While those interested may choose to compete, all the classes are non-competitive and everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace. Initially, I was impressed with the way they presented themselves, but I was impressed even more so after attending their classes. They do live up to their word. They are very friendly and the environment is not only family friendly, but they have become like a second family. There is a multitude of kindness spanning the entire spectrum from staff to students. One thing I was not expecting was the fact that their coaches are very in tune with their students. I’ll admit, I know little about Martial Arts. I come from an extensive dance background. But instructors are instructors… whether they teach dance, Muay Thai, or piano. They’re either good, decent, lacking or excellent. I’ve had many instructors and what I can say about Valor is that ALL their Coaches are EXCELLENT!! (That is not a statement I make light heartedly.) They seem to know what you need, before you even know it sometimes, they’re very knowledgeable and quite observant. They also deliver what you need to know in a way that’s easy to digest. I’ve seen so many instructors in other arts allow their students to progress with holes in their β€œeducation”, thinking that they’ll catch on or they don’t even notice, because they’re not really paying attention to their students. Not at Valor. I see them address students on an individual basis according to their specific needs and to the whole class as the need arises. I can personally attest to this. Because of my background in dance I am quirky and have quite a few hang ups that are not really conducive with Muay Thai, but I find that the coaches are patient and work with me on comprehending the moves better or making necessary adjustments to my movements that work with what my body is used to.The classes I am currently taking are Muay Thai, Cardio Bag Rush and Eskrima. (They’re all really great classes, btw.) I usually go six days a week. I live 45 minutes from the Academy and this is the sole reason I drive out to Stockton, I commute to work in the opposite direction, my gas bill for the commute to Stockton alone far outweighs the cost of the membership at Valor (and I’m not made of money) and all I can say is…. IT’S WORTH IT!!

With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, broad schedule, top tier coaching and a vast variety of classes, Valor is one of the best places to train in Northern California. Being prior military, I have experience with various types of training centers from all over the world. That being said, I have a high standard when it comes to training establishments. I walked into VTC without knowing any of the staff or coaches yet I was greeted warmly and promptly. The staff attentively answered all of my questions respectfully and thoroughly without any hesitation. During my trial period, I was not rushed into signing up for classes or pressured to purchase any merchandise. At no point in time do I feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. The owner, Kru Patrick Rivera is very respectful, friendly, knowledgeable and approachable as are his staff. Lead coach Tony Dominguez is patient, thorough and passionate about coaching and the theory behind his lessons. All the coaches are friendly and approachable to all students regardless of age or experience level. VTC provides a positive and motivating environment to learn authentic traditional martial arts and/or to get in shape. I am very impressed by the high level of professionalism, welcoming atmosphere and overall top grade quality of the training Ive received at VTC. Ive gotten much more out of my experience than learning how to punch and kick. I really wish I wouldve started training at Valor sooner! The first aspect of Valor Training Center that caught my attention wasn’t what they taught specifically or the precise location, but the promise of an ego-free environment. Everyone is always reluctant to start something new, but at Valor Training Center your first encounter with an employee, trainer, or member will start to make you feel comfortable. My first day at Valor Training Center I attended the day class around noon. A trainer who seemed rather young greeted me, but I could still tell his knowledge in the art was present. This trainer, Jorge Fernandez, conversed with me with extreme kindness and explained the processes, cycles, and packages the gym has. To this day, I still credit my decision of joining Valor Training Center to the man who showed me extreme kindness, Jorge Fernandez. Soon, I found out Jorge was simply an exceptionally skilled student! The coach originally teaching day class was out due to a newborn. This is the caliber of people that are molded at Valor Training Center. Our coaches promote discipline, integrity, perseverance, and above all respect.Valor Training Center also managed to put my life on the correct health course. Before training, I would eat mostly processed food and had absolutely zero exercise. Upon joining Valor Training Center I actually put on a few pounds from the muscle I had accumulated. Be it to lose some of that unwanted extra baggage or to bulk up on muscle Valor Training Center can do it all! I not only look better physically from my long months of training but I feel much healthier! Our academy possesses an extremely friendly, and cleanly, environment. Upon entering or exiting the building you can be assured that you will be greeted will a β€œSawadee Khup!” our term/motto for showing respect. All of our coaches will make you feel as if you’ve known them your entire life. The first coach I was training under most of the time was Coach Tony Dominguez and he treated me like family from the beginning. No one is discriminated or given less time than another student. Every coach will take the time to help you one on one; all you have to do tell them you do not understand what is being explained. Our main coach, or Ajarn, is Kru Patrick Rivera who gives his all to his academy, fighters, and family. Another positive aspect of Valor Training Center is the caliber of our fighters. And I do not mean caliber in the sense that we are more skilled than other fighters. I am referring to the respect that our fighters uphold and the good people that they strive to be. Muay Thai is not simply about fighting; it is a martial art, which entails respect and kindheartedness. If the environment of a gym full of egotistical muscle-heads trying to one-up everyone they see just does not call out to you, than Valor Training Center could be for you. We pride ourselves on being an ego-free environment. Even if you desire to simply attend classes for exercise purpose but wish to refrain from contact we have contact-free classes! There is something that I have gained from Valor that I could not find elsewhere. I thought I had the best group of friends in the world, until fallout occurred. The fact that I had Valor Training Center and the people there who really do care for one another made me realize I will survive without those friends. There are still pros and cons you must weigh out when considering to join a membership, but there is something that Valor Training Center has that most other gyms do not. Sure, we have heavy bags, fighters, coaches, a ring, mats, and merchandise, but the true description of Valor Training Center is family.

Since joining VALOR Training Center, I have been having an incredible journey! This is a Martial Arts academy where they teach more than just kicking and punching. Its about understanding what Muay Thai is from a cultural and recreational perspective, and thats a philosophy of a Martial Arts school that look more into rather than just learning how to pound people in the face. Kru Patrick Rivera and Coach Tony Dominguez are the best instructors any one could ask for! They are not worried about how fast you are, nor how hard you can hit. They want to make sure students understands the techniques, and break it down into a basic foundation brick-by-brick. Even as an illustrator, it all comes down to just drawing basic geometric shapes before adding any detail, and at VTC, our foundation in Muay Thai is our strongest weapon. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the people who train there are absolutely the best folks to be around. I have had the pleasure of getting to know individuals and train with different partners every other night. It has just been a blast! I want to be around a positive environment, and VTC has the best group of people, whom I call my friends and family, to hang out and train with. Cant wait to go back and train with them! Check out VALOR! We have lots of fun!
