Have been coming here for a few years for oil changes and inspections. Their prices are great, very competitive. Cheaper than any other place I’ve gone to in the past. Their quality is also better than any other place I’ve been to. They’re always fast and professional. I had an issue a while back with my stereo… they fixed it without charging me anything, said it just got locked after I changed my battery and needed a code to be entered. I’m pretty sure they at least had to call some other place to get this code. They could have charged me $20 for “fixing” this and I would never have questioned it. They also gave me the code in case I ever needed it again and wouldn’t have to go to them for it, which again they could have charged me $20 for each time. Automotive industry doesn’t always have the best rep, but I definitely trust this place. They were also very understanding when I had missed 2 appointments and didn’t charge me for that either.

Wrote in the online appointment form that I thought my car had an issue with its positive battery terminal. Service rep said the positive was OK but replaced the negative because it was loose. 2 days after getting the car home it stopped running entirely so I investigated the issue myself. Lo and behold it was the positive battery terminal and I fixed it by cleaning it with a wire brush which took about 15 minutes. Im sure theyre used to getting people who know nothing about cars, but it would have taken about 5 extra minutes to say hey, that positive battery terminal is a bit rusty, maybe we should hit it with a wire brush since the customer thinks that could be the issue.Rated 2 stars because at least the appointment was done on time, nothing was stolen from my car as far as I have noticed, and my car didnt catch fire.

Prompt service, attention to detail, and they get the job done right- as requested. No BS, good business.

If you have no worries about money you can come here. They are professional but it will cost you. If you are on budget fix your car somewhere else.

The guys that work here are kind, professional, and helpful. Ive taken several vehicles here for various reasons. They always deliver, i recommend them to anyone i know that needs a good mechanic.

I have been using Karch Auto for about 2 years. I needed to make a switch from my dealerships maintenance team because I didnt feel I could trust their evaluations. I couldnt take my car in for anything without them giving a list of additional needs I had to take care of before picking up my car. At Karch, I have learned that they are thorough in their inspections and will take time to explain the importance of their decisions before passing inspection. I also have an easy time scheduling oil changes and wheel alignments. I learned that they provide detailing services in Bellefonte, and will be taking advantage of that service this summer.

In getting a car registered and inspected in the state, Tanner, went out of his way to ensure I could get the correct paperwork completed. The teams efforts go beyond the service of the vehicle but to ensure you have a great wholistic experience. A shop I definitely will use again!!

Karch Auto was recommended to us by our auto insurance company as a preferred repair shop, and were very happy we chose to listen to them. The entire experience from start to finish was very thorough and extremely professional. Everyone involved with helping us, from Justin from Walks Towing, to Tom who provided us with the quote, to Sara who continually updated us on the status of the vehicle repairs, was very personable and easy to deal with. We were extremely satisfied with all the repairs, and our vehicle looks and drives great.

Karch Auto is superior in their customer service and quality of technicians. I had a recurring problem with engine light indicating that one of my cylinders was misfiring. Our local Jeep dealer never diagnosed the issue, and certainly did not care to fix it - for over 5 years! In one visit the expert technicians diagnosed, actually called Chrysler, and then fixed the issue. When I started it up to take it home, it felt like the first time I drove it home about 21 years ago.If you want your vehicle fixed right, Karch technicians have the necessary expertise!

Karch Auto has now not once, but twice, saved me from myself when I realized with 5 days left in the month that my inspection was due. Everyone in the office is very nice. They are efficient with scheduling and have always been able to get me in when I need it, even when other places are booked weeks in advance. I wont hesitate to return here if I need anything else done to my car!

I had a great experience at Karch Auto! Tanner is very professional and remembered me every time I called or came in. I had to have my ac repaired after my compressor gave out. They ordered all the parts, got it scheduled, and fixed everything within a week. After the repair, I noticed my car air blower/fan had stopped working. Tanner and Jeff worked very hard to research and fix the problem. They were always courteous and friendly and patiently answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend taking your car here!

I leave nearby and do all regular maintenance for Toyota Camry 2003 here - yearly inspection, tires, oil, brakes, etc. So far, I dont remember no one time when I was completely disappointed with service at this locations. Sometime I like their work better than other day but in general it is OK. More important for me is my car is in driving conditions. Price list is also reasonable.

My experience with Karch Auto/Walks Towing was overwhelmingly negative. Unknowledgeable staff, questionable behavior, and opaque charges sum up my experience. This alone may be forgivable, but the pain point here is the predatory towing practices that are exercised on a frequent basis.Towing from private lots is a tough gig, but to have spotters waiting to tow students cars is a step beyond reason. There are far better auto shops that run their business with integrity. Do not support a business profiting off of a cash strapped, captive student population.

Just got some body work done here. Everyone in the office is very friendly! I dropped my car off and received email updates (very nice) that my car was finished literally a day afterwards. Highly recommend everyone here. Nick, Sarah, and Gary in particular were very helpful!

After getting stuck on Park Ave, Walks doing and then Karch was extremely helpful in getting me back on the road. Casey in the front office was informative and kind, and they worked with me to ensure that I would get my car back the same day. Im extremely thankful for the individuals who worked on my car, and the fact that they called me a few days after servicing my car in order to just check up on stuff really solidified the idea that they truly care about their customers.

Karch operates Walks Towing, of 1-star fame, and I saw them try to tow somebody who parked in the wrong spot at night while feeding her friends gerbils. They also charged a $300 drop fee which either is or should be illegal. This represents extortion and should be recognized as such, but until PA law changes, this review represents our only recourse.

Not trustable. Not friendly. Definitely not recommended.

Anyone connected with Walks towing should be run out of business. They are predatory and unwilling to work with college kids who are putting themselves through school. I need my car to make money and they werent willing to listen to anything I had to say. Very rude, and if I had the money would have a lawsuit against them.

This is a friendly warning. Dont even try to stop at this store. You will have the worst experience ever. All they want is money in your pocket. Not helping or fixing your problem.

I hit a deer and it messed up my car pretty bad. I called my insurance company, and they recommended Karch Auto.The accident happened on a Sunday evening. By 9am Monday morning, Karch Auto calls me to have me bring the car to see if it was drivable. It was not because the headlight was busted out. So, I left my car in their hands. Karch Auto stayed in touch with me during the process.Finally, of course, my car looked like anything happened to it.Thanks guys!Nicole

They did not charge us for the small and common part we needed, just the hour of labor to troubleshoot. That was very nice of them, and is one of those little things that makes you want to keep giving them business.

Dont really fixed the problem. my car was broken again when i just complete annual inspection.

I called last minute about a check engine light/rattling noise and Jeff was nice enough to check the code and even drove my car around the block to check the noise out. I cant thank them enough.
