Ill let my pic do the talking.this is my big toe two days after my pedicure.. STILL bleeding and becoming infected after packing it with neosporine and rinsing with peroxide each night and morning.i dont have a before pic, but it was a healthy nail/toe.we tried this place because my wifes regular place was booked, they were taking walk ins and were conveniently located for us.they also over charged us for gel nails for my wife.wont ever be back. will warn away anyone who will liaten.
The place was real clean and decorated nice. They were kind of busy so rushed through my manicure and pedicure. Didnt do a great job on either. I wont go back.
I went here for the first time a couple days ago. I was impressed! They were busy so I thought it would be a long wait but they got us right in for a pedicure. The girl I had did a great job! I will definitely be back!
I made an appointment two days prior for 11:00 am. I walked in and they said I would have to wait 30 minutes!! I would have liked a call to let me know.
I’ve been coming to Rainbow Nails for a few months now since getting back from college and have never been disappointed! Their options are endless and I never struggle to find something I genuinely like. It’s an affordable place to have your nails always looking nice. Louis always does an amazing job and it’s always a fun time when I go. It’s one of my favorite parts of my week when I get to go in and see him and Cindy. They’re so kind and work so hard at what they do. The quality of work I get on dip nails is the best! I love coming here and don’t see myself changing salons because it wouldn’t be the same
DO NOT GO HERE!!! My mom and i got pedicure and nails done here. The nails and toes were supposed to be the same color but no!! They werent!!! The pedicure is $40 and they dont clean around your toes and didnt do any lotion massage. They also didnt listen to anything we asked!!! We will never go back!!!
Sadly Im seeing that many of the techs arent taking pride in their work. Polish Stock they use for customers is OLD and havent seen any new colors now for over a year. Shellac supply also is OLD which doesnt give a good application on the clients nails when the product is old. There are a few techs that I think still care but its looking pretty bleak.#LonGtimecustomer
They didnt okay job, it was pretty rush ed. They did do a good job repairing a damaged toenail that I had
I’ve been going here for almost a year and each time I’ve gone I’ve had nothing less than the best experience ever. They have an endless amount of colors. Before coming here I had always been charged extra to have acrylics put on my nails and they destroyed my nails. When I came here for the first time they didnt mislead me, they told me I could get the gel dip on my natural nail which also saves you a little bit of money. I recently started making appointments with Cindy and it has made my time spent here the highlight of my weeks. She’s a sweet soul with an artistic side that is amazing. Today she surprised me and turned my nails into a canvas. I could never imagine going anywhere else to get my nails done. Rainbow Nails is the best place to get your nails done for a good price. ❤️
Their technical skills were adequate. However they quoted $40.00 for pedicure then charged $60.00. Other comparable salons are $35-$40. Just saying.
Perfect job .....I love them !!! I will be going back
Ive gone here several times and have had mani/pedis done. Went today and will never go back. I went in for a pedicure and they were busy. It took about an hour for someone to start which was fine, I wasnt in a hurry at all. But then the pedicure lasted not even 15 minutes. That scrubbed my feet, did my cuticles, filed my toes, and painted them. No massage or anything relaxing (the point of the pedicure) and it was completely rushed. And it cost $45 for something I wouldnt even call a pedicure.
Good service and affordable.
My sister and I received gift cards as a Christmas gift to Rainbow Nails. Were both loyal to a different nail salon that we love, but we appreciated our gift from grandma and would never let it go to waste. We were extremely hesitant to try a new salon, and the reviews are so mixed we werent sure what to expect. I decided to bring my 14 year old daughter along as a treat. We made an appointment, but when we arrived, on time, they acted like they werent expecting us. They werent incredibly busy, they have lots of nail and pedicure chairs so they could accommodate quite a few customers without overcrowding if they chose. At first it seemed they only had one employee working on pedicures, and she was with another customer when we arrived. We were seated promptly in the massage chairs, but had to wait 5-10 minutes or so for the one employee to fill the basins. The massage chairs are buttery soft leather and usually one of my favorite parts of a pedicure. One issue I found was the massage part was isolated to the lower back and no way to have it move up or down. Mine was faulty in that it would turn on, start and then stop after about a minute and a half. My sister and daughter did not have this issue with theirs. We sat and visited for about 15 minutes while our feet soaked and the water gradually cooled before two employees were free to start on my sister and I. Im emphasizing that my daughter was started about 15 minutes after us, because she was done about 10 minutes before us (not counting the time they spent on the designs my sister and I requested) and I had paid for the same service for her that we were receiving. I guess since she is younger they felt she didnt need the same amount of time we were given. We showed each of our nail techs a picture of what we were wanting, and they switched as they believed mine was more technical and the woman who was about to start with me didnt think it was within her scope (which I fully appreciate). My sister wanted an all black polish pedicure, with a white and gray accent on the big toe. The tech told her she could absolutely do the design she showed her. Mine was a geometric type design with three colors. I will say, the leg and foot massage I received was the best Ive ever had. She really put a lot of effort into the massage and it was heavenly. My daughter told me after we were done that the woman who had worked with her was really rough. But shes young and didnt realize they cant read minds and sometimes you need to speak up, so I dont really fault that employee. There was a pretty large language barrier between myself, my sister and our nail technicians. Even with the picture, I had to point out what i wanted a few times and struggled to explain when something wasnt quite right. My sister was the one who really ran into problems though. Her design was fairly simple, but the tech just couldnt get it. She tried three times before she called over the woman working with me to do it. Even then they werent able to replicate the line of two colors my sister wanted along the edge of her nail. She finally gave up and just had them do a simple sparkle ombre accent. The techs were incredibly gracious during this process, never showing impatience or frustration. They even told her she would be comped the design fee since they couldnt follow through on the design theyd promised. Let me preface this next part with this. Before they started our pedicures, we had looked online at the different options. My sister and I both chose the green tea and honey pedicure, that was priced at (I believe) $55, and my daughter the chamomile pedi for the same amount. When we told them what we wanted they didnt didnt have the chamomile option anymore, and we were shown a menu, with the same prices we saw online, and chose the same as us for my daughter. When I went to pay I was given a total of $147 for my daughter and I. I was stunned. Apparently the $55 pedicure does not include the polish, which is an extra $15, or design which is another $7. So be aware of hidden fees.
Very rushed, the gel isn’t gel like, it’s like matte. Not sanitary it looked like they were using the same nail files for everyone. The polish is not evenly on my nail and there are a bunch of chips. Would not recommend going here. Also very overpriced.
I have been going for 5 years...always wonderful experience and awesome pedicure...
Great place!! All the nail professionals are just that, precessional. Ive never had an issue. Been going here for over a year. Everyone is kind, they dont talk bad about any customer, and always strive to do the absolute best job possible. Theyre all very talented and will do their best to meet your needs. I always see Henry. Hes become a very good friend of mine. So much so hes coming to my wedding! If you want a great experience and beautiful looking nails, go to rainbow!
I went with a friend that had been here before, she loved the people and the fact that they do so well. We went here just a week ago and we got our nails done. We absolutely do not like them. They are poorly done, not at all what the picture I showed. My nails are all different sizes, shapes. Also not even on my nail all the way. I was very upset spending so much on something I dislike very much! Don’t recommend going here!
This place was very neat, just got my nails done with my friend and they are very pretty! Did not disappoint!!
Very friendly and clean!! One of the best pedicures Ive ever had!
I took my mom here for an early Mother’s Day pedicure which we both were very disappointed with. It was a polish change with lotion at best which took maybe 20 minutes definitely do not waste your money on it. Then I got a full set which was the worst set of nails I have had the nail tech told me when I asked if he could get the shellac polish off the sides of my nails said I could pick it off and that it will eventually come off. Then normally when you get a full set they clean under your nails to remove the built up acrylic well he again told me I could pick it off. I have never had a nail tech tell me this. I should have waited till my usual spot opened back up was very upset!
Felt super rushed and a little sloppy
I came in for a manicure, nothing fancy. Im a nurse, so no false nails, or gel, etc. I was so excited for my hands to get a little pampering since they have been abused so much over the last 6 weeks or so from sanitizing my hands 100+ times a day to do my part to keep the public safe. Im so disappointed! My cuticles were trimmed, nails filed, polish slapped on. No Lotion, no exfoliation, hand massage, no one even asked me to wash my hands at any point! I specifically asked for paraffin oe some exfoliation, he told me not today. When I ask for a manicure, this does not even come close to meeting my expectations. I could have and should have done this myself. Im paying someone to watch my baby, so I can have a few minutes to feel pampered and cared for! Nope. Not again.
They always take care of my lady. :) recommended
The technicians always do excellent work and the store has a giant selection of polishes and designs available. Love them!!
I have been going here for awhile and I can say that each time I have a better experience. The lady that does my nails is so nice and comforting to me. She makes sure I get exactly what I want and make sure that I am satisfied. She really took her time and effort, I could tell. I appreciate that so much! Will be back!
The first time I went here a couple of weeks ago, I had a great experience with one of the nail techs. She was polite and I could tell she was really focusing and taking her time on my french dip manicure. Well today one of my nails broke, so I decided to go back to get something different. I sat down in this young mans chair, and showed him a picture of the manicure I wanted: a silver glittery nail with a white undercoat. His demeanor was not very friendly and he proceeded to rush through the process, because he apparently had an appointment with another client who showed up while he was taking care of me. I could tell he was trying to go as fast as possible. In the end, I ended up with uneven nails that dont even resemble the picture I showed him. He gave me two clear coats of silver glitter without the white undercoat. They look very unprofessional and tacky. I wasted $45 on this terrible experience and I wont be coming back. Its worth it to go somewhere else, people.
Emma is awesome!
Very clean and cool place with great prices!
We had a big group, with that being said we knew everything wouldn’t be perfect. I got the basic pedicure which was $25 it did not include a foot massage she did not scrub my feet and when she went to cut my toenails they are not the same length. She also did not clean underneath my nails. When she put lotion on my legs before she painted my toes she scooped up a handful of water that she got from my dirty ‘pedicure’ and rubbed it in with the lotion on my legs. My water was ice cold and all of this took about 15 minutes. If you’re looking for something that’s relaxing and fun do not go here. The quality was poor and the service was even worse.
DO NOT GO HERE. My mother and sister and I were so excited to have a girls day and get our nails done, and they took $175.00 from us and left us with the worst nails I’ve ever had done. My nail shape is different on every single nail, they did my pedicure and manicure in 20 minutes rushing through it. Absolutely a scam, and there are so many other places in Springfield to go to that will actually give you the time of day.
Very upset. I got my nails done here on a Sunday morning, and I did a dip set with tips. I got the ombré glitter colors so in total it was $55. That’s the most I’ve ever spent on a dip set. I understand it’s more due to the different colors, but my middle finger completely snapped off on Tuesday. Got it fixed. And when I got it fixed, they seemed very annoyed and did it very rushed. Then today, on Thursday, my thumb had a crack in it and is about to break as well. I’m upset because of the money spent, I was hoping they’d be a bit better quality. Oh, and when I got my middle finger fixed it didn’t match super well to the rest of my fingers. I think I’ll stick with going to other places unfortunately.
They made the BRIDE of our party wait 30 wxtra minutes, no one got the correct shape or size they asked for and all the nails were super sharp.
A close friend of mine asked for a simple task of single colored nails, and they ended up being too thick, her fingers around thr nail were rubbed to the point of bleeding. The man doing her nails was rough and unfriendly the whole time.
I have gone here many times. The quality seems to be kind of “hit and miss”. They always have availability when you walk in, which is great, but they really try and rush you when you Are trying to choose a color when you first come in, so many times I have ended up with a color that I am not happy with because I feel pressured to hurry and pick something. There is also a lot of yelling back and forth between the staff. There are some VERY good people that work here, but also some that are awful. if you find one you like, set up an appointment with them to ensure quality every time.
I love this place! They are always so noce!
Did an excellent job....feet feel great!!
I’m writing this while sitting in the pedicure chair. This was the worst pedicure experience I’ve ever had. This is my first pedicure for the spring. It’s been since January since my last one so I definitely needing my toes trimmed, my cuticles trimmed etc. Basically she threw my feet in the water and slapped on some polish. I could’ve done a better job.. She also spent the entire time screaming across the salon. Not relaxing and a terrible job. Won’t be back and won’t recommend this place.
Holly from Rainbow Nails is the best. Take any Pinterest design to her and she can do it no problem! I only go there for her. She’s the best! 💕
They started out by telling me that they continue out how the previous place had done my nails so they had to take all my nails off. They told me it would be a $45 but when the credit card receipt came through it was 50 and he said it was because he had to fix my nails and I said youre not fixing my nails your putting a full set on. He Insisted on filing the coffin shape instead of clipping the nails and cut them too short and said the way he was doing it would make sure they were all even and they are not even by a long shot. He cut me twice with the Drill. I dont know how this place stays in business . The only reason I went here is because my salon was on vacation for 2 weeks. They charge half of what this one does and does much better job.
My wife had a pedicure and manicure with Nancy and she did an amazing job!!!! Loved how friendly everyone was and how they seemed to do anything to make her happy. The receptionist at the front had a smile on his face the whole time and was very helpful and kind. He could also speak perfect English which can be helpful for both parties. This place is a gem in the heart of Springfield!!!!
Perfection!!
Great care and service..
Great experience here as always, they are very respectful of you and your desire to the type of experience you want. Thanks so much!
I have gone here multiple times and been disappointed every time and will not be going back. Everyone is super nice but the quality is terrible. Every time has been extra lumpy, the nail shape uneven and none of my nails matched in shape or in length. I only get a solid color with the dip powder, so it’s not like I’m asking for something super difficult... a lot of my friends go here and like it but I have had terrible experiences and will not be returning.
I have gone to the majority of highly rated nail shops in Springfield and was nervous coming here since some reviews arent that great. I was so shocked by the great customer service and product quality that I just had to give a shout out to Nathan. He did a great job and knew what was in style. He showed me a few popular gel colors to go with my full set and cared about what I thought. I ended up with super trendy maroon matte nails that I love. I will definitely be seeing him every few weeks. By far the most hip and trendy nail shop. Nathan knows whats up.
They were very quick but didnt get the nails even lengths and didnt smooth everything over with the buffer so the nail beds are lumpy. Love the free gift but just wish they spent more time making the nails match.
While they have a large selection of colors, my friend and I were not given time to really look through them. We were constantly asked if we were ready from the moment we walked in the door and I feel pressured to pick the first color I was interested in, instead of looking for a color I actually wanted. They were not particularly busy either so Im not sure what the rush was. I mentioned how I wanted fake nails and the gentleman helping me asked how long I wanted them and I told him not long, kind of short. Then he started working on my nails and the next thing I know he clipped my nails as short as they would go and started dipping them without putting the fake nails on. I was too confused and upset to ask him why he didnt put my fake nails on so I just sat there. When finished my total was 35 dollars for just my own dipped nails in a color I am not completely satisfied with. I have bad anxiety and so just going to a nail salon makes me nervous and then with this visit I cannot come back. A few of my nails are so short and filled down they hurt. I am extremely disappointed.
Best place in Springfield to get you’re nails done! Dede is very kind and professional
I have been looking forward to getting my nails done for a few weeks because Im eight months pregnant and soon I wont be able to get it done for a while. I went in there expecting to get a decent pedicure and manicure. I felt like I was being rushed out of there and the quality showed. Dont get me wrong Im all about getting in and out in a timely manner but not if Im spending fifty dollars. Will not be going back.
Nail tech(Jason I think) was very irritated to paint my 4 year old daughters nails. He was rude to her and painted her nails and toenails in under 5 minutes. He also did not remove her old nail polish and I even asked him if he did and he said yes. It is obvious he didn’t. I know she is only 4 but he could have acted like he cared since I was paying him. My daughter gets so excited to go with me and behaviors so well. Then as we were leaving he was standing right outside the door smoking. I will never be back.
Very Disappointed. I have been getting gel nails and pedis for 7 yrs at various places prior to my visit here. I was seated promptly. That is the only good experience. While doing my manicure she cut two different fingers that hurt for over a week. The nails were wider than my fingers. She also done my pedicure and she done something to my large toe that caused pain to walk for several weeks. I have never had bad luck until this visit in Nov 2016. I will not be back.
Love this place, this is the only place I get my nails done. The people are great and I never have any complaints about the nails.
Fast, friendly service. Always look nice, as each person I have had pays close attention to detail. I have only had pedicures here, no fingernails. I have never made an apt and have never had to wait!
I went to Rainbow Nails get my eyebrows and lip waxed a few days ago. The girl who performed the service did not say a word to me. Instead she talked to her coworkers the entire time....while just inches from my face. I understand that there may be little interaction, especially when there is a language barrier. However, you must acknowledge your customers, not just point to a chair, giggle with your girlfriends and completely ignore me. Trust me when I say that there are much better places in town to go. Yes, there may still be a language barrier, but at least they look you in the eye and ask you what you want. Common courtesy goes a long way.
I promise you when I say that I am probably the least picky person when it comes to getting my nails done. I came in yesterday and my pedicure was great, and then my gel nails were fine until the alcohol solution was put on at the end. She seemed to rush through the whole manicure. My nails got cloudy and slapped a quick layer of the top coat on again. When I left they were all bubbly and chipped within 2 hrs. I came back the next day to have them redone and she told me that she would redo them but if they mess up again it’s my fault, not hers. She also told me at the end that I shouldn’t touch them because they’re wet (after they’ve been UVd and she finished) and the alcohol did the same thing and clouded the finish. Same thing happened with the top layer. I was also told if they didn’t work this time, it was because of my skin chemicals (I’ve never had an issue with gel, literally get my nails done like 3-4 times per year). Lol I won’t be going back! My friend also had the same issue with the same lady previously. I only went due to having a gift card!
Regular customer, always fit you in, if I ask for a quick 20 minute polish change or a full 1 hour manicure theyll accommodate!
Awesome experience! Very detailed and kind! Definitely coming back!
They do great work!! Very nice people!!
They were quick and efficient. I like the atmosphere.
A great place to get your nails done.
They are so friendly and I always have a great experience every time I walk through the door and they also have great designs and do a spectacular job!
Great service.
My Mother and I did a walk in apppintmet for 2 pedicures. Nathan and Tracy did an excellent job. Very nice and professional. Massage chairs are relaxing.
Great service! The chairs are really comfortable and there are plenty of them so need to wait long to walk in for service!
My lady was very rough, and didnt care when she hurt me and she didnt even give me what I wanted. Definitely wont be going back.
I received a manicure for a wedding. It was my first manicure, so I didnt know what to expect. Jason did my nails. He was very rude. He just seemed irritated the entire time.
Worst nails ever, holes, all over my nails! I tried to tell the guy but he said they were rushing him to do more people I told him I was paying for his time he didnt care! If you want good nails DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
A family member of mine went to get a pedicure there a few months ago, and keep in mind they went there quite a bit. The last visit they had, they ended up giving my family member a fungal infection on their big toe. They have to be on an antifungal pill for three months and they have to have blood tests done to be sure that their liver is still working properly. This person didnt go anywhere else to get their toes done, let alone do they go to a gym or a public pool. This is solely because the way that Rainbow Nails sterilizes their equipment is simply not good enough. Personally I am saddened and disappointed at the lack of cleanliness they deem acceptable. My family member and I will not be giving them our business again.
I have been a customer at this nail salon, once a month, for 15 years. Tried several different technicians before settling on mine. She really listened to my preferences and made a point to remember them each time I came in. The entire staff is friendly and solicitous. Over the years Ive learned about everyones families and seen their children grow up. That really adds to my trip to get pampered in this salon. The owner insists on professional work done by professionals. I drive 45 min each way to get my nails done here. Its worth it.
Depends on who you get I think. My nails are diffrent sizes and shorter/longer than the other hand. However they have a good selection of color and ppl are friendly.
Im terrible with names but I think the person who did my nails was Steven. He was very nice and did a great job! We had an appointment they got started right away.
I always get compliments and asked where I got my nails done. Rainbow Nails does an awesome job.
Have gone here several times now services is unreliable. I have had good customer service and been happy but have now had poor customer service a couple times (very rude unfriendly) and this last time not only was the nail technician unfriendly but worst manicure/pedicure I have ever had. She was defiantly rushing. Started my nails while in pedicure chair... Did not push back/clip cuticles. I had Shilac paint and it is not only uneven but not even close to base of nails. I had this done 3 days ago and am going somewhere else to redo them tomorrow. It looks like I had them done 2 weeks ago...i wish I would have complained at the time but was shocked how I was being treated. Defintaly will not go back.
If you come for a pedicure don’t expect anything special unless you pay $40. I got the basic pedicure and my feet weren’t even scrubbed.
I really enjoyed the experience. It was a good job.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This was my first time here and it was the worst manicure I have ever had! It took less than ten minutes, the tech put my fingers in the water and then immediately took them out. No cuticle lotion and the massage was a joke, he put lotion on the palm of my hand and that was it! They charged 15 dollars for that. There are way to many nail salons to waste your time and money at this one.
I have been going here for years. Great people and great service! I drive 2 hours every 2 weeks to come here!
Always great service super clean and relaxing.
This was by far the worst nail salon Ive ever been to. The man doing my nails couldnt understand what an ombre french was and eventually GAVE UP! I told the guy to remove what he tried to do and I left. How embarrassing for them seriously
This place is super over priced, and don’t offer a student discount. Also the woman who did my dip nail was super rude and pushy with how she wanted to do my nails rather than how I wanted them to look, my nails chipped about 5 days after getting them. Would not recommend
Teresa is awesome, a very sweet and talented lady! Thank you for all you did❤
Just went here for the first time today. Lynn did a GREAT job on my mani-pedi! Great attention to detail without wasting time. I will be back!
Love this place
I got a manicure and while the people are super friendly and polite, the lady doing my nails rushed the manicure leaving a spot unpainted. Otherwise, its a great place!
They are so friendly and do a great job
This place set the bar for BAD customer service. I called ahead for pedicures for my mom and I, and they wouldnt tell me when they closed, and just asked if we could come right away. As soon as I got there I realized it was because they wanted to close early. When we sat in the chairs they forgot about us and my water almost overflowed-- I had to yell to get their attention! The worst part was no one would help my mom because they were all doing THEIR OWN NAILS! They kept saying one moment, it will only be a minute. 1 lady was working on my nails, and 6 other girls were just playing around the salon. My mom and I left without her even getting a pedicure. Just RUDE!
Walk-ins welcomed and plenty of technicians to get you in and out quickly.
My girlfriend and I went there today to get pedicures. BAD BAD BAD.....I work very hard for my money (as does everyone) and when I decide to get a pedicure once every 6 weeks, I expect to leave with my feet smooth. I have been getting pedicures for 20+ years and this is by far the WORSE one I have ever gotten. She asked if I wanted the razor and I said YES!! Need it SO bad!!! She took 3 swipes on each heal (which you can plainly see) and one over each big toe. I am so disappointed as I have been looking forward to this all week. They kill you with kindness but that is all I can say for them.
Beautiful nails and toes as well as fantastic customer service and it was all done in an amazing amount of time less than hour for mani and pedi and eyebrows!!!👍🏼👍🏼
Waste of money!!!!!!!!! Got a shallac manicure the Polish isnt consistent or to the edges. I work at cox and have to have super short nails. I told her to file them way down, she barely trimmed them and didnt file them so they are even or smooth. Then at the end she slapped some lotion on my arms, without rubbing it in and then rushed me to the register. Irritated and will never go back!
Henry is the best!
Best place to get monthly pedicure in town.
First time I got a very young inexperience kid who knicked my toe during the pedicure and burned the top of my foot with the light. Next time I got a woman who knicked the cuticle area of 2 fingers. It bled. She never apologized, barely talked to me and was staring at the TV a lot and not my fingers. I will now never go back there again. 2 strikes you are out Rainbow Nails!
DeDe is the bomb!!! I go there every 2 weeks for a mani pedi, I never have to wait for service and the staff is super friendly. This is by FAR the best nail salon that I have found in Springfield and I have tried DOZENS.
Like going to Rainbow nails. Always able to get in. the ladies are fast and efficient.
