My husband passed away from a fatal accident. I called Downing Funeral Home the morning after I received the horrible news of my husband and spoke to Faith and she scheduled an appointment for me that day. Faith was so wonderful throughout this process and being a young widow now, this was all so new to me. She took her time and went over everything. I am forever grateful for Faith and all the people from Downing who were so sympathetic and nice.

Chris was wonderful. We lost a family member sudden but not unexpected. He was very understanding and knew how shook up we were and didnt rush us into anything, he gave us all the information and options we had and assured us that they were taking care of our family member, he followed up the next day and walked us through our tons of questions.Thank you Chris for your kindness!

I cant for one second believe some of the negative reviews people have given. We have used Downing for 3 family members and they have been nothing but professional, caring and have gone above and beyond each time. I used them by mistake the first time, having never needed a funeral service, I had no idea who to use. I thought I had picked one that was closer to my home, but thankfully it was Downing.

Very caring and respectful..walked me through everything and was always very prompt returning my calls. Mark and his staff went above and beyond for me and it was greatly appreciated during this difficult time. Highly recommend.

Mark and his entire staff were extremely caring and compassionate!! Highly recommend. From the time of my fathers death until we picked up his remains they were top notch! Setting up the Military Honors for my Father was a beautiful tribute! Thank you Downing Funeral Home for giving my father the best send off!

They took care of my mom and mother in law they where respectful and helped us i would recommend them to everyone they are great with the familys and yoir loved ones

These people cremated my father. Never identifying a Todd Smith who posed as a nephew. Todd Smith is a con man who lied about obtaining a POA to the nursing home. My father wanted to be buried, not cremated. They did no obituary and even though we were listed on paperwork from his emergency contacts. No ONE tried to contact us. A Google search I performed found my sister in 4 minutes just by typing in my dads name. They are liars and untrustworthy as business people. Do what you want but I wouldnt trust them with anything.

Ya know, we used these people service 2 times and all went well. We just had 2 recent DEATHS and used your service. Today you had the NERVE to call my 89 year-old father who is still in mourning to WANT HIS SERVICE N MONEY? In case he dies! Ya know what that is? It;s TOTALLY UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL, IMPROPER and JUST FLAT OUT WRONG! Ya should be ASHAMED of yourselves! I think we will use another service. That was flat out WRONG!

I assume whom was only Mr. Downing himself was EXTREMELY courteous, caring, and respectful towards our situation. Showing promptly and on time, the very following day after my Fathers passing. He did not leave until my Mother and I were knowledgeable on every and all pieces of information he had in hand pertaining to the type of process we wished to take. During which we had explained to him our difficulties in finances and being the ever so WONDERFUL gentleman he was and I’m very sure still IS. He allowed my Mother and I to make payments towards my Fathers cremation services. After leaving, he took charge and handled EVERY aspect, including the transfer of my Dad to his facilities. That all aside, what touched me most, was the gracious offer he bestowed upon me before leaving, which was he taking back with him, a very near and dear picture of my Dad and I during my first baseball game to be cremated with my Fathers remains. I wish I could see Mr. Downing again, even if just to thank him as well as bestow my up most gratitude towards the not only professional aspect of himself, but also for merely being just a down right wonderful human being during such a horrible time in my Mother’s and my life.
