Russ - an employee of this business took cash from me and gave a verbal that he would check out my van as it just stopped running. Several days went by with no contact. Found the vehicle parked behind the shop. Shop owner knew nothing and the mechanic Russ just took the money and spent it on whatever. I advise everyone to not go here. Very unprofessional, his guarantee under shops name was all lies. WILL BE FILING CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT.PLEASE BEWARE!!!!

My bride and I were stranded in Spokane after driving from Portland to visit family with our 2004 Honda CR-V, which had gone into limp mode due to issues with oil pressure.Jesse was referred by a friend of ours. He took on the emergency repair with no delay, and proved to be one of the best mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of taking my car to. He worked tirelessly to figure out what proved to be a very elusive issue, and got the job done right.The whole process was transparent as you could wish. He even allowed me to get pictures of the repair job in progress - which was way bigger than we initially thought it was going to be.Jesse worked with other local Honda experts to diagnose and properly repair my problem - and discovered at least a couple more issues that were going to put me right back in the shop in short order, and repaired them as well.At the end of the job, the pricing was more than fair. It was less than 1/2 of what I assumed it would be!We are back on the road, and would 100% recommend Chaneys Automotive for any person looking for a mechanic to call my car guy.

Great service for a great price! Ive never had a problem and I always get my car back within a timely manner! My car broke down earlier this week and I wasnt sure what was wrong with it. Jesse was able to get it checked out, fixed, and returned back to me by the next day. And he didnt charge me a ridiculous amount like some shops do. Best mechanic shop I have ever gone to. The guys were honest, efficient, and helpful. I got several quotes from other shops and Chaneys automotive was by far the cheapest. They took the time to show me exactly what was wrong and explained what he would be doing to fix it. They workered with me on a payment plan and even threw extras in for free. They are down to earth genuine. I will never go anywhere else for any of my automotive needs. Best shop in town with the cutest staff in Spokane.

I took my vehicle in with possible diagnosis of burnt exhaust valve. Jesse was able to run a couple tests right on the spot and give me a quote for the cost of repair. It was a very reasonable quote and gave me a time frame to have my vehicle back. Both the quote and the time frame were spot on and the work is top notch! He also sent me pictures updates and pictures of my damaged parts. I won’t be taking my car anywhere else. Quality and honest work is what Mr. Chaney provides. Very hard to come by these days. Very good mechanic. Super friendly and accommodating and walks you through your repair if you are interested. Only problem Ive ever had with Chaney is that his business has outgrown his shop and doesnt have all the room he needs. Good people work here.

Since the beginning of September my dad and I had been battling my car, running into non stop road blocks. it was a Take one step forward, two steps back situation for 2 months. We had taken it to a local shop, and got told after having the head rebuilt, we needed to have a new lower or new engine costing us 3x as the cars worth.I found an engine Jesse was selling through Facebook and it was a great deal, hard to come by good D16y8 engines that arent in seattle.My dad went to look at the engine while I was at work, described our situation and Jesse instantly knew what was wrong.He offered to help us, in short notice, was working the weekend on my car, communicated really well, and definitely went above and beyond. I didnt think i would see my car running for another couple of weeks and a new engine, but 2-3 days after my car got dropped off, I drove it home.I REALLY cannot express how grateful I am for him and what he has done for me, my car is my world and I got back. My dad and I are forever customers of his for all of our cars.

Truly honest. We have been Cheney Automotive several times. I am always surprised by the cost, Jesse is not.out to gouge people. He did a great job on our brakes and charged half of what Golden Rule wanted. Its been a year and brakes are still going strong.

Jesse is one of the last trustworthy auto mechanics around. Had the opportunity to over charge me (I was convinced the problem was more serious) and surprised me by charging me less than normal shop rate for the repair. He is very busy but worth the wait.

That is a lie! Chaney purchased the motor from Sunwest Automotive. He was never on time, two engines that he rebuilt both went out weeks after he did them. Also, he is not a certified mechanic! Your better to go anywhere else!

I’m never going anywhere else for my auto maintenance. The guys were so nice and chill, and they only charged me for the cost of the parts—instead of marking them up—and the work they did. Plus, it only took them an hour to fix up my front brakes when I was expecting to wait for at least two. My total cost was less than $135.
