Aire Serv of Spokane responded to a complaint of water on the furnace room floor of my 83 year mothers home in April 2021. Aire Serve installed the furnace in 2017, four years prior. The technician repaired a leak in the exhaust pipe which was dripping due to their poor glue joint made during the installation for which she paid $85. This did not fix the problem. Mom called again after the furnace floor filled with water a second time. The technician returned and diagnosed the problem as a leak from her sprinkler system coming through the basement wall. Since the basement has never leaked, this seemed like a stretch. She was not billed for that visit but the technician also performed no work. Her son (me) went over and diagnosed the problem as a failed condensate pump and called Aire Serv with that diagnosis. The following morning, a technician came to replace the pump for which they charged Mom $360. The pump is $60 on Amazon. She paid the bill since the problem was fixed even though it was 20 minutes work to replace the pump. Four months later, the water on the furnace room floor was back, this time because the technician damaged the AC condensate line while installing the pump. Her son (me) fixed the leaky AC condensate line and Aire Serve was never contacted even though the leak was clearly from damage caused during replacement of the condensate pump. Now (4 months later) Mom received another $93 bill from Aire Serv for a diagnostic fee related to the pump replacement. The bill stated she received a written estimate for repairs. Aire Serv never provided any written estimate nor did they correctly diagnose the problem. Aire Serv is neither competent nor honest. You have been warned.

AC went out and they were very prompt to send out a tech the same day who did a thorough inspection which required obtaining a new part so couldnt do the repair that day but came the next day, completed the repair and Hooray it worked! Robert, the technician who came both days was very good at explaining the problem, the fix and recommendations for continued care of what we could do ourselves and what servicing we should get in the future. Was very happy in this hot hot weather to have a relatively quick fix.

After having an unpleasant annual furnace checkup with another company who scared me into thinking I needed to replace my furnace. I called Aire Serv for a second opinion. Robert McDonald was my technician. He is a total professional answering all my question thoroughly and adding helpful side notes. His inspection was the opposite including fees from the other company. My furnace will serve me for some time to come. When it needs replacing Aire Ser will be my (GO TO) for replacement and HVAC annual inspections.

Great service and we now feel secure about our heating system going into winter

We love Aire Serv and would recommend purchasing the Aire Serv Advantage Plan. Its a yearly maintenance plan that pays for itself if you should ever have an issue. We had Aire Serv come out and do a routine maintenance check on our AC in early June of 2021. In August of 2021, after a prolonged heat wave, we had a capacitor on our 14 year old AC unit go out. To be honest, I was prepared to hear the technician say we would need a whole new AC unit because of its age. Thank God Aire Serv employees are honest and have integrity and care about their customers. The Aire Serv Advantage Plan moved us to the front of the line and got us a priority pricing discount. The technician was at our home for a total of 15 minutes because he was able to diagnose the problem and replace the capacitor with stock he had on hand. A/C was not working very well at the outset of this horrible heat wave. I called them Monday a.m, and really did not expect theyd be able to get out same day but they did, and the tech quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. He was fast and professional and I was so grateful when the air got cooler inside. Actually we purchased both the AC (5 yrs ago) and furnace from them, too, and have been happy with quality and service. Pam

My furnace had stopped working. I called Aire Serv in the morning. That afternoon, the repair was finished. .The technician was fast and courteous. It was great to get same-day service instead of making an appointment and waiting a few days.

I wasnt able to find anyone else to come and replace a condensation pump and ductwork on the weekend until I called Aire Serv of Spokane. Martin answered the phone right away and immediately came out to fix my issue. I highly recommend this company and technician to anyone who is looking for hvac services.

He was on time, and found issue pretty quickly with our AC and was able to fix. He also briefly explained what he was doing and how the system worked. I have never left a negative review of any company prior to my experience today with Air Serv. They have come to our home now on three different occasions and the first two times they replaced the control board. The second time they came out which was one month ago it took 8 hours for the to determine it was the same issues they had fixed a couple months earlier. Today it was having similar issues and the tech Robert told us it was not the control board but the blower that needed replaced and that would cost $1200 but he would recommend a whole new unit. Robert was the tech who came out in February and was still training and had to have the manager (Darryl) come out twice because he admittedly said he did not know what was wrong as he was still new. We contacted another heating service today and they stated it was definitely not the blower and in fact it was the control board again. They replaced the part and got it working within 2 hours. When I contacted Air Serv to tell them of the situation Darryl was very rude and said they could not do anything as we didnt use them to fix it. I would not recommend this company, Spokane Plumbing and heating was more competent and honest- we will not be going back.

First time using this business. I was impressed by the professionalism and ease of my technician. Showed me everything that he was doing, gave tips for homeowner maintenance, and cleaned up when he was finished. My A/C condenser was leaking water through my furnace. Turned out to be a blockage in the condensation line. I also had the technician remove an old humidifier that was installed in my furnace, but had never been operational when I bought the home. After blocking the clog, updating the connection for my drip line, removing the humidifier, blocking off the holes from the humidifier and giving some great insight into my furnace the bill was very inexpensive. Oaid less than $300 to repair when I was worried I would need a whole new A/C condenser. I am having this company price out an entire filtration system replacement now (since my circa 2003 furnace has a terrible electric ozone style cleaner, and no traditional filters).Based upon my experience with them, I highly recommend this company. As a realtor, I will recommended them to my clients as well.

We had Aire Serv come out and install a smart thermostat at our home. The technician did a great job and we were glad we had a professional do the install. He had to work on some wiring to get the smart thermostat going, which is something we’d not be able to do ourselves. He walked us through the basics of using the thermostat. We were able to easily claim the Avista rebate for installing a smart thermostat.

Excellent maintenance and servicing of legacy boiler & radiator heating systems found in many of Spokanes historic homes. Aire Serv also retro-fitted a SpacePak small duct, high velocity central air system in my older home (built,1924) without the mess and expense of installing a new forced air furnace and large ducts to every room. Summer in Spokane is so much more pleasurable now.

Our AC went out on a Friday evening. They were very responsive and we were back up and running very quickly. They identified what was wrong, and fixed just that without trying to pile anything else on. Technician was not only very professional, but friendly as heck to boot!

I will never go anywhere else. I had mainstream come out to service my furnace for the sale of my home. Unfortunately they found out I needed some repairs. they told me they could put in a new relay and replace the wire that was bad for 517.00 but they could not Guarantee it would last. they told me it would most likely break within the week and that I needed to get a new furnace. I thought this was fishy. I called Aire Service of Spokane. They came out and looked at the furnace and he was able to fix it that day (within a couple of hours). They replaced all relays, new wire, air filter and gave me a one year warranty on the work done. he also made sure the new thermostat we put in ourselves was done correct all for 499. Nice, friendly and honest did not try to push me to purchase a new furnace. Told me my furnace was aged but in good working condition. Amazing!!!!

Martin Alvarez was my tech that came out, as a person he is so relatable and personable, his work ethic and attention to detail was outstanding! He was extremely thorough in explaining everything what needed to be done and what it would entail. He takes absolute pride in his work and doesnt cut corners at all! The professionalism of both the installers sent to my home to great care in ensuring mats were protecting my floors. They took the extra mile and sealed openings with silicone. They were over all very talented and treated my home as if it was their own.

First of all when calling around to get our AC working I was told by multiple companies that it would be 2-6 weeks before they could be out. Aire Serv was able to fit me in, in 6 days. And not only that but the customer service rep was the only one from any company that gave me three things to check and try before having a service person out. She was very informative and helpful. I still had to have a repair person out. Jeremy was phenomenal. He was reasonable and even gave us recommendations that would save us money. I will always call Aire Serv. They are honest, reasonable and helpful.

I have used Airserve on a number of occasions here in Spokane. Furnace and Airconditioning service on the existing old equipment that was in my house when I moved in seven years ago to replacement with a state-of-the-art new energy efficient gas furnace, electrostatic air cleaner and humidifier a couple of years ago. I also had them do a difficult gas piping job when I converted my old electric cooktop to a nice gas cooktop. So, when I needed someone to come an lower my gas meter and assist me in removing an old abandoned barbecue gas line, I knew who to call. Every time, they were very responsive, on time, professional and fair. I was a residential general contractor for forty years and have dealt with every kind of subcontractor imaginable. I would have to rate AirServe as one of the best I have worked with. Highly recommend.

Called in about my condenser not working. Had an appointment the next morning. Cory showed up and explained every step of the process, while providing excellent service.

These people were wonderful. When our furnace stopped working it took a couple of months for us to get the money together to replace it. When we finally got the money so that we could get scheduled it was going to be the end of November. My concern was it was starting to get cold. With end a couple of days of getting scheduled we received a call from them telling us that the customers that were scheduled head of us had working furnaces and where willing to move there dates so we could have heat.We had our furnace with in a few dates. The guys who in stalled it were polite, had allot of knowledge about the product. They made sure that i new how to work the new thermostat up on leaving and thank me for the opportunity to serve me. I will always refer people to this company. YOU ROCK.

I have been a customer with Aire Serv for the better part of a year, twice for service calls and once to fix a non-working furnace. Today I called on them once again because my furnace stopped working last night. Again, they were prompt to reply, showing up later in the morning. Upon inspection it was determined that the inducer blower motor had gone bad and needed to be replaced. I was quoted over $400 for the job. I was dismayed at this because I just spent $700 with them a few months ago to replace a faulty gas valve. Even though it is the dead of winter, snowing four straight days, and I have an infant daughter at home, I decided to look around first. I was able to find a brand new motor from BL Best for a total of $150 and upon getting it home it took me literally 5 minutes to install.I am sorry to say that I feel like my situation was taken advantage of. For a job that only required 5 minutes labor from a novice as myself, I was going to be gouged $250 in overhead. As such I got away with $150 for the part and $82 from Aire Serv for the service call. I did call Aire Serv earlier to give them the courtesy of letting them know I would be leaving this email and was told, pretty much, that they are a business and need to make money.And Im happy to say the furnace is now working great.

Love Aire Serv!! The house we moved into had the furnace at one end of the house (opposite the bedrooms which would then get really cold in the winter) on top of it being right in the way of our remodel design. Aire Serv moved our furnace under our staircase where is was more central which then required having to redo the duct work as well as added AC to our home. It was tricky to figure out all the logistics of the best way to do this but they figured it out and now our home is very comfortable. Thank you for your hard work!!!

High integrity company! My radiant heat system had a leak. Another HVAC company told me it would be an extensive repair, cutting and replacing parts, with risk to the pipes down the line, possibly causing new damage. Eric, from Aireserv, tightened where the leak was and said it was common issue, no big deal, no repair needed, problem solved in less than a minute.

They are easy to work with and do a wonderful job! From the office to the technician it is a very smooth and customer friendly experience.

A year and one half after installing our boiler, I received a call during the wind storm power outage (November 2015) - Eric asked if Id like him to stop by with a portable generator to help increase the temp in the house and to also provide a full tank of hot water. Aire Serve replaced a twenty year old boiler and updated my hydronic baseboard heating system in September 2019. The new boiler is much more efficient and silent. The staff at Aire Serve were all helpful, in particular, the owner, Eric Coombs. On the two occasions when I dropped into the office looking for information he took the time to listen and answer my questions, even though I could see he had other demands on his time. When he visited the house to evaluate the old system, and then later installed the new one, it was clear to me that he not only knows hydronic heating, but equally important, his passion and commitment to providing first class service impressed me.

Came to my rescue when another company wanted to reschedule after I made a appointment with them two weeks in advance.

They scheduled me in very fast and came on time. And had the job completed in no time. Done right and very professional! This company will definitely be my go to from now on.

Excellent Job of Air Conditioner Cleaning and Service

I have received yearly maintenance for several years and had them install an air conditioner. I have been pleased with their service and find them to be an honest company that provides quality work for a reasonable price.

Darrel came out on Memorial Day (a holiday!), did not charge me extra for it, and did an excellent job of fixing my heat pump! As a reference: I have had 4 different technicians out here from other companies. They never fixed the problem, and charged me exorbitant fees on top of it. Now that I have found Darrel at Aire Serv, I will never go anywhere else. He explained the problem thoroughly, was very competent, and friendly, and the fees were reasonable. Im dead serious...try these guys!!!

We initially had Air Serv complete a condensing hot water heater installation that was sold by Home Depot. The receptionist and the installation crew were all very friendly but unfortunately the installation was way beyond the scope of this business’ qualifications and it failed inspection on several different points. After speaking with the inspector it was quite obvious that the staff never completed their due diligence and even opened the instruction manual as well as breaking codes that should be obvious to anyone seasoned in this business (installing an air intake right next to a dryer vent). That could be considered an honest mistake but rather than fix things the owner was extremely arrogant and refused to fix things correctly and took forever to get back to us (think months not days which he responded to say he was having personal problems). He wanted to leave a hole in our siding and then move the duct work to a place that still would not meet code (It was obvious that he still hadn’t taken the time to read the manual regarding the manufacturers specifications even after sending it to them). In speaking with my wife he mentioned flippantly that he had an attorney on retainer and this would just end up being a bad review (about the only thing he was correct with) and we should not have chosen this water heater although Air Serv had obviously said they were capable of doing the work. We will have to pay an alternate contractor to fix their poor work and mistakes. In summary I would strongly avoid this company unless you have a simple straightforward project. The reviews are often skewed by a strong solicitation from clients vs. a normal organic review process. There are many better well managed ethical businesses than Air Serv and we recommend you look elsewhere.

I had air serve install the heat pump over the summer. I told them how I would like The electrician to hook it up. Either they or the electrician decided it would be cheaper to run the wire through an existing conduit, rather than run it around the outside of the house. When I went to remove the conduit I had to move the wire somewhere else. Long story short, I now have to pay another electrician to put the wires were originally wanted them in order to meet code. The problem could’ve been avoided had they put it where I asked him to in the first place.

I was very impressed with the level of personal service and information.

Called out to diagnose my furnace. They quoted me almost 1100 dollars to replace two parts and repair some ducting. I sat in the cold for a week thinking about it. They were super pushy trying to get me to replace my whole unit. I did some reading and dig into the systematic of my unit a little bit and decided to take a stab at it. (I’m an Air Force aircraft HVAC/electrician), within literally 10 minutes I found a wire that had been pulled out of the terminal. Crimped it down and my heat came roaring back on. Repaired the ducting myself for about 50 bucks. Oh and they charged me $89 bucks to “diagnose” my system. What a joke.

We have used Aire Serv now for service twice and have had great experience with their personnel and with the work that they did. Very professional. We had them install new ducting in our attic for exhaust work we needed to have. The time before they came out and serviced our heat pump for our A/C and the owner himself took care of that one! It worked 10x better when he got done! Eric is so knowledgeable, friendly and courteous, and his staff represented him well. We will use them again and have referred them repeatedly and have gotten good feedback from our friends and neighbors as well.

Excellent customer service, and prompt response time. Our heater went out during the extreme cold spell this winter and thanks to Aire Serve our heater is up and running.

Aire Serv seems very professional on the phone, very accommodating to speak with. But when it came down to the work I requested from them, they fell flat. They might be an ok company if the work you need is straight-forward and doesnt require a lot of investigation. Heres what happened: My bathroom flooded with sewage, most of it (20-40 gallons) drained down the ductwork, and it was likely that the furnace had been contaminated (I saw sewage dripping in the ductwork that was connected to the furnace only 2-3 feet away. I called Aire Serv and explained everything and asked if they could clean the furnace. They let me know that if there had been water damage that by Washington State Law they were required to replace the furnace, and could not work on it. Thats fine, insurance would cover it, I thought. They schedule me for a Friday inspection. Thursday comes and they call, letting me know that the receptionist scheduled my inspection with their sales person who doesnt do calls, and they needed to change the time and the person (less than 24 hours before the appointment). I re-told our whole story to the second receptionist and pushed the appointment out to the next Tuesday. The furnace tech shows up and says hes there to do a tune-up. My wife urges him that we had called because of possible water damage and contamination. He looks at her like shes crazy and says that they dont do that kind of work. She insisted that we told Aire Serv that is what we had called for and not just for a routine tune-up. He offers to take a look and opens the door to the furnace downstairs and assesses that no water got in the furnace! Not sure how you can do that considering there is a dirty water stain that has recently dried just under where the furnace sits. I have called and explained my disappointment with management and I get a call that he did check and there is no water they can see (again, opening the door to the outside of the furnace is no indication that the inside of the furnace was not contaminated) and that I need to call a duct company to asses whether they think water got in the furnace, and then after that if the duct company thinks water did get in the furnace I can call them back to inspect it. This is a long review, it was a much longer (and more wasteful) experience. Wont be calling them again.
