I have been a customer at Desert Highlands Mini Storage for about 15 years now and wanted to say how much I like the place. It is secure, well maintained, and has limited access overnight, which for security reasons is really important. Having stored my RV elsewhere previously where it was broken into repeatedly I have been happy to have had no problems while at Desert Highlands. The staff is wonderfully helpful and quickly answer any questions that come up. Great place!

Worse place to go. They rip you off and want to charge you money for everything. When they found out we didn’t have to pay for their insurance- cause home owners and renters insurance pay already- ( they could get sued) they decided to raise rent two times in a year. We started out paying 120.00 a month to now 189.00 a month - for the same unit! They don’t care- infestation of black widows/ mice ruin your stuff cause they offer no pest control. Security is awful- people break and steal all the time- they do nothing about it. Charge unreal late charges .. just awful place! Go anywhere else! Or they will bleed everything they can get their greedy hands on. A customer for over 8 years. We know- don’t get stuck here! We are. And regret ever using them.

This was my families first storage rental. My dad was having no luck finding a facility and I told him I would help. Alanna could not have made things easier. Learning we would be storing furniture she even helped select a location with less sun exposure. Id give her 10 Stars if I could.

Would absolutely recommend this facility. The office staff are wonderful. The units are always wanted and the yard is wonderful. If your in the market I would give them a check out.

I went into this facility to get a unit last minute. They did not have what I needed at the time but they were very sympathetic to my situation. They called around to the other locations associated with them to try and help me find what I needed at a price that I could afford. While I was not able to get in I was beyond happy with the service they provided me. They were so caring and understanding and their professionalism was top notch. The property manager did everything she could to help me and I will forever be grateful. If I am ever in need of a storage facility again this will be my first stop.

Love the service I receive when I come into this place. The staff is always nice. There have been a lot of changes recently that I would prefer to do without. But the staff is always willing to walk me through it so I can understand what is going on and why.

Stopped by to get pricing for my travel trailer today. Customer service was above expectations. After reading other reviews, I was expecting great customer service but the property manager Alanna went beyond in helping me. I had many questions about the size of the RV spots available; most places I have discussed this with have brushed me off or gotten frustrated with me. Alanna took the time to answer my questions and show me examples to ease my mind! Once our trailer is out of the shop this is exactly where I will be storing it!

Horrible! Times of operation are from 7 - 9. We got there 10 minutes to 9 to drop off our boat. And I am not sure what system they used but our code would not work we tried it over and over double checked the code nothing. Now it is parked in front of our house where our hoa doesnt allow it all because there system cut off the use of the gate 10 minutes early! We are extremely disappointed with their service!

I have been using this storage for close to a decade. Through all the ups and downs Alanna in the front office has been more than awesome in explaining the changes and accommodating where and when able. You wont find a better person to work with and hopefully the pricing will stop climbing year after year.

I never leave reviews, but I had the absolute worst experience with Desert Highland Storage. I was provided a unit number and gate code, and received a letter confirming my reservation. When I arrived, the gate code was incorrect and I called to get a new number but was told my case would be escalated and that I should hear back in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, no response so I called in again and learned that the customer service agent is outsourced so they are unable to provide new codes. Luckily a different car came in behind me and I was able to enter the unit. Upon entering I realized the Unit number provided to me didn’t match any sequence... I was provided a 5 digit number, but all units had a letter and 2 numbers for the unit number. While the outsourced customer service agent was kind, they were unable to provide any assistance. Over two hours later and I still haven’t heard back from my “escalated” call to the property manager. I plan to ask for my full refund back and will never recommend this place again.

Phenomenal service. At last minute Alanna worked into her lunch to get me 2 storage units to meet my deadline to unload an out of state household truck full. Thank you!!!

Have been absolutely amazing!

I found a screaming deal on a 10x20 unit for my girlfriend last Friday. The Shield Storage website shows 50% off a 10x20 unit for the first month. Sold! We booked it online and waited for the call.Plot twist: it was an RV space. Nowhere on the site was this mentioned. The gentleman that called us on Friday said he’d give us a call back once he could figure out whether there was another actual unit available. Lo and behold, there was no call. We waited through the weekend and called this morning.The gal at the desk had a great attitude and understanding of the situation and said she was just getting back from vacation, she’d check on the vacant units and give us a call back. Six hours later, still no call. We called them. Nobody picked up the phone. We called again a few minutes later. No answer. We called again a few minutes after that - guess what? Still no answer.We drove over there to try and get a refund because we were tired of dealing with it.We arrived at the door and said “Hi! We called earlier about a refund for (girlfriend).” She was immediately antagonistic and ready with excuses. “I said I’d call you,” “I’ve been alone and busy all day with single coverage,” “If you didn’t pay cash I have to have someone else deal with it,” and “I can’t make that decision without guidance from my district manager.”No effort to *call* the DM, no apology for not following through, no effort to try and make the situation better. Just “I’ll call you later.”I work in the service industry. I get it. People have been rough since COVID started. It’s hard to get stuff done. I’m not upset that we made a mistake or that there was a miscommunication - but don’t make excuses for poor service and just process the refund. It’s not hard.When the only thing you have to offer over your competition is your word and great customer service, you should make an effort on both fronts. Desert Highlands clearly doesn’t put much emphasis on either.StorQuest just up the road was great! I’d recommend them any time.Update 9/2/20: Just got another call from Desert Highlands. Apparently it takes their District Manager literal days to give approval for a refund for a space we have never used and will never use - a fact which was acknowledged within an hour of payment.

Ive had my card expire and forgot to update them, and they called right away. as long as you have your number updated with them and make your payments you shouldnt worry about them auctioning off your stuff..

HORRIFIC MICE ISSUES! I am here disposing of MOST of my things and their concern is nothing other than a “well it’s a risk you take” . If I knew I’d be throwing MOST of my things away, why would I have bothered to store it in the first place. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. Absolutely livid, to put it mildly.
