Today, was my first time going to Valvoline and this specific Valvoline. In all my life, I have never met such wonderful workers. This goes out to Ally, Cory, and Tina, plus the whole team. All three of them worked so diligently on my car, and cared for it with the up most quality. They also gave valid recommendations for my car with my radiator, and filter. I was able to get my filter changed, and my oil change quickly, all in under 15 minutes. They worked hard and fast, and double checked everything. If you are looking for amazing services for your car this is the place to come. Professional, courteous, always on point....Update- visited today. Everyone looked new, they insisted the car BEHIND Me was there first. Very strange,was told to back up move to let them in front. They never asked the other car. I then couldnt help but question competence, and left. You cant figure that out, or if youre that biased, probably dont need to touch my car.

I had the best customer service yesterday at this location Valvoline. I missed the first guys name who was super efficient to top off fluids in line and the second was Austin, he showed me the level my oil was at when they finished. I have NEVER had anyone do that before. Super friendly and definitely recommend as you can tell they work very hard!

Friendly courteous staff..Do not even have to get out of vehicle for your Oil Change..This is where I go now the last 3 yrs..I love that I can see them put the Oil in my car because I have had a very well known place rip me off before and never changed my oil and I paid for nothing. I had that feeling when I was there the way the guy was acting he was jiving me and he did!!! My Oil Light came on 1 and1/2 weeks later telling me need Oil Change now!! I us Synthetic Oil so that isnt cheap..Anyways I will go now to this place where I can see the Oil is being put in because I can sit in my car..They always have Specials so if you forget a coupon tell them and they will hook u up! Great Company..

My worst experience getting an oil change EVER. after looking online and seeing the live data that they were less busy than usual, I decide to leave work and get my oul changed over lunch (5 mins away). Well, I left there 100 mins later! I wanted to leave after waiting 40 mins in line, but was told they were done with the car in the bay and the car ahead of me was only going to be a few mins...just checking for leaks...I was still not in the bay after 1 hour....but do I leave after investing all this time and knowing I am going to have to make up time at work anyhow??? I will not use this place again. I read others comments about courteous staff (posted awhile ago), I believe there may have been some staff turnover.

I have used them several times. They are always great to work with. Very friendly and personable. They took the time to explain everything to me. Timothy the manager is a great person. He went above and beyond. He deserves a raise. He handles himself very professionally. I will continue being a loyal customer

Valvoline is my number one choice for an oil change in the area.One, they dont require us to get out of the car, which means the whole process is finished within 10 mins (or so it seems).Two, they provide a quality product. While Im not a mechanic or scientist, I trust the full-synthetic oil is protecting my engine parts.Three, they regularly offer Groupons for a discounted price that ranges between 30% and 41%.If I need a change, this is where I go.

I typically never go to quick oil change places such as Valovoline, but I wanted to get my oil changed on my lunch one day so I figured I would try it. When I pulled in the parking lot, I was greeted by one of the employees with the phrase hey baby what do you need done today? which I already thought was unprofessinal. I brushed it off and waited my turn. When I pulled into the bay area to get my oil change, there were two main guys working on my car (different than the one who greeted me) -- one that spent his time asking if I had a boyfriend and the other who told me he had only been here a week and had no experience in automotive work. Mind you -- this was while my car was being worked on so it wasnt like I could have driven away. After I left, I could not get a mile down the road before my car started smoking and not accelerating. It turns out that Valvoline never drained my oil before putting another more oil in. My vehicle had a 5.7 quart oil capacity and it had almost 12 liters of oil in it. I had to take my vehicle to the mechanic and spent hundreds of dollars fixing their mistake along with the damage it had caused and the manager only refunded me for the oil change and nothing else. When I talked with the second manager, he even warned me to never take my vehicle to places like that because they will hire anybody. I have since had to get a new vehicle due to the damages done by Valvoline, when again, I was only refunded for the oil change and was told that is the best they could do. I am not ever one to leave bad reviews, but this situation was pure negligence and was not even resolved in the right way. I strongly suggest never letting anyone at this establishment touch your vehicle.

The staff were friendly enough, in fact very friendly. They were just super slow. We were there for almost 2 hours waiting. They didn’t look very motivated in their jobs. But it was brutally hot and I tried my best to be understanding because I work in this heat also.

While I have always chose to get my oil changes and state inspections here. I found it odd that not all employees were wearing face mask. With the pandemic and older citizens frequently coming in. It should be mandatory for all employees especially the one asking questions and up close and personal to the customer to wear a mask. Also their customers should be courteous enough to wear a mask when corresponding with them. We should all do our part. The tech in my lane was wearing his mask and I appreciate it.

They did a great job! Efficient and Fast

Went in for an oil change. Two of the employees working on my car were arguing with each other. Was told about a small oil leak that wasnt a time sensitive problem. After only driving 8 miles, engine locked up due to having ZERO oil in the engine. Car was fine before getting the oil change but now I can no longer drive the car due to needing a new engine. Not sure what happened but would not recommend this place.

This was my first time visiting this place of business, and I was satisfied with the level of service and professionalism. My experience was friendly, timely, economic and an overall satisfying. I will be going back again...

Very clean, quick, and seemingly professional. My only complaint is they dropped my air filter housing bolt. Didn’t think I noticed and never said anything when they couldn’t find it. I asked at the end of the service if they found it, he said no, no we didn’t. Let me see if I have a spare. He indeed did have a bolt to replace it. Why not just do that vice not mentioning it at all? I’m paying $90 for the convenience of them doing my oil change, not to lose parts in the process.

I went for service and the technician said they were not required to wear masks. The Business Mask Mandate applies to all businesses public and private. I will not financial support a business that does not care about the health and welfare of its clients. Wal-Mart associates wear masks and the price is better. Skip this place. We are in the midst of a global pandemic and this flippant attitude is why many more people are dying than needed.

Was in Smithfield shopping and decided to get an oil change bc I seen a deal on Groupons. Well rounded up the family and headed over and the guy goes were closing soon and I need to have ameeting before we close. I go you dont. Close for another 20mins. You cant have the meeting after you close be said no ... I tell him Im from out of town and I bought the Groupon and can use it anywhere else he said sry have to have this meeting... thats bs who shuts down 20mins ahead of time to have a meeting. Just bad service

I pulled up to the Valvoline instant oil change shop and said I need an oil change and a tire rotation. They checked the weight of the van and said they can do it. After they do the oil change they decide the van is now too heavy to do a tire rotation. I won’t be going back.Also, they had the van completely off the ground in position to do the tire rotation and they decided not to. I’m glad now that they didn’t do the tire rotation because the oil change alone was $100 in a standard size work van with a V6.

These guys are always very friendly and professional. The only downside to going here is the popularity of it and the wait time because they have so much business.

The people there were super nice but I waited for an oil change & inspection for almost 2 hours. There were only 3 cars ahead of me. The did good work but the wait was way too long.

Not happy. Pulled up to the inspection side was told to move to the other side. Someone else came after me went to the other side that I was told to leave and was serviced! As was the next person after him! I have been a loyal customer for years so that did not make me happy!!! Dont think Ill return and will tell my friends not to either.

I am a casual visitor of this Valvoline and normally have a wonderful time, but yesterday was an unprofessional and upsetting experience. My car has never given me problems before visiting this store, has a perfect Carfax, and has been maintain decently. Otherwise, I warn anyone that visits, with the new management in place, today.My Visit on 12/29/2020:This place is known for being busy, but I easily endure it because of my prior satisfaction with their services for years. Anne, the prior owner, always took care of me the best she could. She taught me, Preventative, not repair. All I wanted was my routine oil change and a new battery. Because of Covid, I sat in the car as they worked. The oil change part went fine. The battery is what went wrong. They add a new battery and sparks came out from under the hood while the tech jumps around. The tech gets his, obviously, senior Tech to come over and see them turn the battery around. They put my battery backwards. Im told to crank it, but my previously working vehicle fails to start. After a few moments of discussion between the techs and hooking testing devices to my car, they tell me to crank my car. My car fails to crank again. The techs shuffle around, try using my old battery and even tried jumping my car, but nothing worked. They tell me that I have a bad alternator and cannot do anything else, pushing my car into a parking spot.I understand that you couldnt do anything, but this is just wrong and highly unprofessional. I advise all to be careful, as this business has put a healthcare worker out of work.12/31/2020I have had to pay $190 for towing the vehicle to a repair shop, $300 for electrical repairs, and lost two days worth of pay. Also, I have emailed Valvoline twice and have not received a response.01/07/2021After receiving no communication for a week, I received a voicemail from Chris, just before 12, from Valvoline. I called him back about 30 minutes later because I was busy at work.The call:He informed me that no one at Valvoline remembers having caused any issues for a customer and requests that I inform him about my visit. I tell him what happened. Next, he informs that they will only reimburse me for the towing and repair cost that I have receipts for. Receipts are completely fair. However, I explain that I was put out of work for two days because of this problem and feel that I should be compensated for the 16 hours of lost time. Chris informs me that he will have to call his manager and contact me in 30 minutes with more details. I inform him that a voicemail would be best because I am working. Otherwise, I havent heard from him and it has been over three hours.Speaks for itself.

Checked in waited 1.5 hours in line just to find out they couldnt do my oil change because they didnt have the oil needed for a Diesel truck.

The Store at the Outlet Center in Smithfield is great. Do not go to the Hwy 70 in Garner Store they are very poor customer service folks.

Had a little bit of a wait but they were very polite from the gentleman who greeted us to the lady and gentleman saying goodbye. We will be back for our next oil change! Ps. Very competitive priced on my full synthetic oil change in case anyone was wondering pricing.

My transmission fluid was burnt and I was planning on getting a transmission flush. The tech told me that my transmission was leaking and she wanted to be honest with me that when I went to get it fixed they would do a flush. I was very appreciative of the honesty and willingness to lose a sale but gain a customer for life. I have used this shop before and will continue to do so as well as encourage others to do so as well.

They were able to take care of an oil change and state inspections in about 30 minutes. They showed me that my air filter was in good condition as well as the dipstick for oil level/color. They were very polite and I’ll be back for sure.

My visit was fast and efficient. An oil change and vehicle inspection in under 20 minutes with no waiting is hard to beat. This was my third time at this business and its always great.

Nothing about this place is instant. Unless you pull up and there is only one car in each of the 2 bays you can expect an hour wait at minimum. Sure, theyll come to your car and estimate 15 minutes of wait time per car in front of you, but its more like 30 minutes a car. You can basically drive to the auto parts store, purchase your supplies and go home to change your own oil in the same amount of time it takes here, but at least for the extra 10 bucks you dont have to get your hands dirty or deal with disposing of the old oil.

Redeemed a Groupon voucher and I was still asked to pay an extra ten dollars in addition to the taxes. The Groupon voucher mentions nothing in its’ terms regarding an extra fee upon completion of the service. The taxes term is questionable. Be warned.

I sat in line today for over an hour, to have a technician wait until I am next, to come out and inform me they due to them having inspection issues in the opposite bay I need to back up along with the cars behind me and let a small Kia in front of me. I asked how is this going to happen we are already out in to the outlet mall parking lot and everyone chose their lane. This kid tells me sir you just need to back up, now I was in my 2500 dodge 4x4 I use full synthetic oil in this truck and my other two. Why would you risk losing $140.00 oil change to a $40.00 oil change. I told the kid my 3 trucks will not be back you have lost my business and my $380.00 every 6 weeks. This place has gone down hill and really has no people skills or business skills. Recommend going to blacks tire and auto I was in and out in under 30 minutes.

I took my wifes car there for the annual inspection. The guys who waited on us were polite and friendly, but the waiting room is TINY! There were only 5 chairs. One of them was jammed right up next to the water fountain and another one was right next to the bathroom door. We started off waiting outside until there was a place to sit inside. Fortunately the weather was nice. It just wasnt a pleasant place to wait.Props to the service guys for being friendly, but I doubt well go back, just because of the waiting room.

Went in today for an inspection for my car today and was failed. Granted my turn bulbs were out but manager was rude and told me my car wont pass cause a crack in the lens even tho it has been passing for years, then told me I can find other places that will due illegal inspections. I was shocked I been going there every year for inspections no more and she needs a attitude check

Way to experience. $86.00 for an oil change..... ouch !!!And that was with conventional motor oil, not synthetic. Dont think Ill be going back there, again.
