I enjoy PF. Nice people on staff and as members. Easy check in. A crowd meter is accessible via the app. Its been a good experience. Im very happy with how I look and feel. Thanks Planet Fitness! 😊

Horrible lazy staff who sit around doing nothing. Standards have definitely been extremely lowered. Bathrooms are disgusting, mold growing on the tiles. It stunk so bad because of the black mold growing. The mirrors were so streaky I could hardly see myself. Disgusting. The gym is dimly lit and dirty. Nothing is ever cleaned. The staff are completely and utterly horrible especially the extremely rude manager. Definitely avoid if I were you.

Best place to workout at. Its clean and there is no judgement there. Love it!!!!!!!!!!!

Well they dont have some machines that u need for legs, and handles, the lady was working las night(5/5/2021), was very rude when I went to ask for some stuff, I dont like this gym, need to have more clean stations.

*02.25.2021 response to the owners comment below just reinforces my comments here and the fact that the owner is a joke Jesse, the Greasy and Slimy manager which by the way is keeping it professional as during our conversation in person which was my 1st time at the facility. He demonstrated the worst customer service possible. He was so worried about the $10 late fee and not about the customer. I had just joined online on 2/15/2021 and paid $29.66 that went through no problem then I receive a text message from their Billing Co. that they were unable to bill me for the $10 on the 17th so they charged me a $10 late fee for a total of $20. He wouldnt wave it so its more important for him to lose me as a customer than to reimburse the $10 and correct the issue on their end. The 3rd world billing company made me aware of this issue as I have stated, so I immediately contacted them to figure out the problem. I reverified the bank account that was provided. For me its all about principal. Do not go to this place! Hes a sleaze ball and the Facility is actually run down/dirty so he ended up doing me a favor. I notified my Bank and they are looking into the matter. I tried to resolve with Planet Fitness Corporate - good luck trying to reach an individual as the prompts always put the burden on the customer to contact the local gym in which they joined, so this case was a joke...bad joke. I proceeded to file a complaint with the BBB and was amazed at how many complaints were on file not only for this Smithfield location, but many more!

I love coming to workout, but I hate that certain rules are not enforced. I use the 30 minute workout typically to start and I can never finish my circuit, because other guests come in and use single machines that messes up the circuit. It wouldnt be bad if they just did it for the minute. Instead they sit and linger.There are machines that are popular they should have more than one of in the big room, due to the same issue. People did a quick set and sit and play on their phones.Im a mom who works full time and comes often so my time is often limited and I cant always get a full workoutThe employees are incredibly friendly, I wish they enforced things here.

Do not sign up for this gym, total scam. I sent a certified letter in the mail in April to cancel my membership since they don’t allow you to cancel over the phone or online. This is done to make it more difficult for you to cancel. Fast forward to this month and I’m charged again $40. I called planet fitness and the receptionist rudely explained that since they were closed they didn’t get my cancelation letter and won’t reverse the charge. On top of that, she said I would have to send another letter through certified mail and then have to wait for that one to arrive to them to cancel. Basically, this company is a total scam and will steal your money.

Ever.I’ve been coming to this gym for a little over 6 months now and I can honestly say, this was by far the easiest gym I have ever been able to get acclimated to, the staff is very welcoming and friendly and always greet you when you come in, the atmosphere is so comfortable and relaxing, it is a great gym.I had a problem with my account that was able to get squared away quickly and efficiently by the manager.Awesome gym.Awesome staff. Ive been to many PFit locations, and the staff here is by far the most genuinely friendly crew Ive come across. They seem to enjoy working together, and their comfortable attitude makes it a very laid back, welcoming gym to come to regularly. The machines are generally in good condition and clean, and the clientele is here to work out, and minds their own business. There seems to be more young women who feel comfortable coming to this gym than others as well. Great work guys!

Hands down my favorite gym. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. I usually hate going to the gym on sundays but I find myself happy to go and very energetic when I walk through and am greeted by the wonderful girl behind the desk. I will continue to come in. Great job!

For the 1st timenin over 20 years. I have never felt so comfortable and NOT intimidated by the Personal trainer. Stuart is AMAZING. He makes you feel wanted here and he is all about you and what your goals are. He works with you every step of your journey.I definitely recommend him all day!! This is the place to be if you feel intimidating.

I love going to Planet Fitness! Julio Quinonez my trainer is just wonderful!! He is very attentive and is always there for you!! He stays with you and makes sure you are doing whatever training you need!! He is the best!! I wouldnt go anywhere else!👍👍

We love PF! Smithfield is also a great location. We have a awesome trainer, Warren. If you want a great workout with encouragement, take a class with him. They are not easy classes, but he is not a tyrant, and you will feel great! The manager knows us by name and #. We are always greeted with a smile upon entrance and exit. The staff is so friendly. The bathrooms are cleaned regularly here, which is a huge plus. The staff sanitizes Total Body Enhancement after every use, which is an awesome machine, as well as the tanning rooms, beds and stand-up. A great place to work out and feel good about yourself.

The staff here really needs to step up their game and enforce the rules. Members should not be allowed to have 3 sets of dumbells in their possession. Especially during peak hours. I witnessed several people doing this here.

Great place to go workout. Downside is that it is super busy at certain times and I struggle to even finish my workout because I have to wait for something. It is a very good environment though and its always very clean.

I would give this Planet Fitness a (FIVE 5) because MOST OF THERE STAFF IS FABULOUS!!!!! However, it takes one bad apple to ruin it. I went there on Easter; they were closing at 1:00 pm. At 12:42 pm. I asked DANIELLE, WHO WAS SITTING ON HER BUTT BEHIND THE COUNTER TALKING TO THE OTHER STAFF MEMBER, if I could tan for 6 minutes. DANIELLE TOLD ME NO, WE ARE CLOSING AT 1:00. At first, I thought she was kidding, but she was serious!! MIND YOU, IT WAS 12:42, THEY CLOSE AT 1:00, I WANT TO TAN FOR 6 min, and SHE IS SITTING ON HER BUTT!!! No, She tells me they are closing and then they need to clean the booth. DANIELLE WAS MEAN, CLASSLESS, NEVER EVEN STOOD UP, GAVE ME HER NAME PLUS; MANAGERS NAME WITH SUCH AN ATTITUDE...I WAS IN SHOCK. I can not believe she acted this way to a customer.I will tell you Mandy, Summer and the other women and guys there are WONDERFUL!!! ALWAYS SMILING AND GREETING ME!! I wish I could give them 5****But because of DANIELLE.. I wont 1*

Ive been working out with PF trainer Warren Hackney for almost a year now, and Im in the best shape of my life. He helped my transform my body into exactly what I wanted. Regardless of your fitness level, Warren can help you achieve your goals. All you need is the right attitude and to show up for the classes. At the time I go, I like the ages of others at same time. Staff is very nice. Bonus. When a machine is out of service, its fixed by next day. I enjoy working out with no distractions, which this gym allows me to.

I have been a member for about 8 months and I really enjoy it here. It is kept very clean and the staff is great. Stephanie goes out of her way to say hello to me and ask me how my day is going. She has a great personality! The entire staff is great! Any thing I ever need they are right on top of it. Hands down the cleanest and friendliest fitness center I have ever been. I visit this planet fitness center with my husband who is a black card member at the Cumberland location. We began visiting the Smithfield center on the weekends because it is close to our daughters house and we immensely enjoy the young lady at the front desk Danielle. She knows our names and frequently asks about our dogs and talks to us about her dogs. It is great to visit a location where the staff takes a personal interest in us. The Cumberland location does not have staff quite as friendly. The Smithfield planet fitness is also much cleaner and has newer machines. I love the exercise bikes! Out of all the Planet Fitnesss I have visited, I think Smithfield has one of the greatest customer service. The employees are extremely kind and overall brings a positive vibe when I am working out. If I lived closer to Smithfield, I would probably choose Smithfield as my home gym because of the great atmosphere and cleanliness of the gym.

Great gym! The staff there are incredibly friendly, always greeting me when I come in. Ive been a member of several different gyms, and I can honestly say that PF is the best. The equipment is brand new and always clean, their open 24 hours during the week which is huge. I love going to the gym, I always have a great time, the trainers are amazing, they motivate you even more--and its FREE. Planet fitness is great, I love it and I guarantee anyone out there will agree.

I recently signed up at this location and I am very satisfied with everything! The staff is very helpful and very inviting. I did a sit down with the free fitness trainer Warren and he made me feel really comfortable!

I have been a member of this gym for about a year now recently upgrading my club status to black card member. Its great to walk into a nice clean gym and to be greeted by folks that actually smile and are willing to make your day better. I especially want to thank Kayla, Steph, and Colin for getting me acquainted with the black card area and making my experience there a great one.

The best Planet Fitness Ive been to in Rhode Island. Friendly staff, unlike the very brusque Johnston staff. And Smithfield has multiple same machines for some stuff. Dont have to wait for the seated bicep curl. Bigger place too. Friendlier clientele too in Smithfield.

Ive been going to Planet Fitness for a few months now and have yet to have a negative experience. Kayla, Steph, and Colin always greet me and truly make me feel welcome. They were kind enough to give me the rundown of the black card zone and give me a really indepth explination on how everything works. Being a beginner Ive always been hesitant about going to gyms for the fear of being judged, but I can honestly say that isnt the case here. The gym is always nice and clean, smells great, and is maintained very well. Ive never been to a gym where the staff makes me feel important and are always willing to do whatever they can to make sure that my experience is great. This is by far the best gym Ive ever been to and would highly recomend it to everybody I know. Plus I feel like Kayla, Steph, and Colin are more of a friend and not just an employee, and honestly its a huge contributing factor as to why I love going. Keep up the great work guys!

Been a member a week, so far I like it

$10 a month, a lot of aerobic exercise machines.

Dirty gym not well kept. Dirt all over the weights because floor is not swept. Staff does nothing but play on there cell phones. This is the first planet fitness I have been in that is not well kept.

Dark, dank and no 360 room not many televisions and limited amount of equipment, no hammer strength machines.

The place was so busy that it was hard to walk around. I had to park a long long way away from the gym. There wasnt enough equipment and the cardio equipment seemed old and kind of cheap. The place was clean and the staff was friendly.
