Had not been to the dentist is app 18 months. DR Kava and staff were great, in listening to concerns and provided excellent service. Same day crown procedure far better than 2 visits. Will return.

I have had a wonderful experience at Dr Kava’s office. Dr Kava eased my mind and took great care of me when I had to have some dental work completed. I was scared to death but he reassured me and took good care of me. Allison did a wonderful job when cleaning my teeth and explained everything as she was going through the procedure. I recommend Dr Kava’s office for your dental work! All of the staff is wonderful!! 😊

My bridge fell out. Dr. Kava and his team were able to get me in to his office within hours of my call. And, no I was not a current patient. They took me as a walk in. Him and his staff were extremely kind and informative. They walked me through every step of the way. The office is extremely clean and all the equipment and technology is top notch. Dr. Kavas approach is personal and professional. He immediately set me at ease. (I have a fear of dentists from a previous experience.) His staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had a wonderful experience on my preventative appointment. They have a lot of protection in place for the COVID-19 prevention. I was very happy that I went because Dr Kava found a chipped tooth that I did not know I had and would have caused tooth decay in time.

Going to the dentist these days can be a little scary. Dr. Kava and his staff were very cautious leading up to my appointment and during my visit to the office. They called a day prior to screen me and then the day of the visit I was screened at my vehicle to ensure I was covid clear. Masks were worn by all that entered and everything was cleaned before I was taken to my room for my cleaning. As always Dr Kava and his staff were very nice and easy to talk to.

Having been to three other clinics in the area, Dr. Kava is by far the best. The staff made insurance billing simple, listened to my concerns with compassion, and put me at ease. They dont try to push products like other clinics do as soon as you walk in the door, and their prices are fairer than others (one oral surgeon quoted me two grand for a wisdom tooth extraction and full sedation. Dr. Kava quoted me half that!) They offer a variety of sedation services for those with dental anxiety and a low pain tolerance (like me), including laughing gas, IV sedation, and oral sedation. I highly recommend him and his staff!

As always excellent service and relaxed, happy and at the same time, professional atmosphere at Dr.Kavas office...they took care of our sons complicated dental case last year and I was so impressed that I switched my own care over to Dr.Kava...The front and back office staff are always friendly and make time for their patients. They will always work to get you in if emergency arises, and are meticulous with details in the aesthetics area as well as clinically. I have been going to Dr. Kava for at least 25 years. He is amazing and very knowledgeable and has the best equipment to make office visits comfortable and painless. Had extraction and root canal done and it went great. His staff is just awesome and gives great service and are very friendly .

Able to book same day appointment. Much to my amazement, was able to get dental appliance ordered and delivered in a tight time frame. And the thing is working! Im sleeping better.

Dr. Kava and staff are a very compassionate, no judgement team. Having dental anxiety, I avoided the dentist for 10 plus years, and went in ashamed and scared. After having my wisdom teeth and 3 others extracted, I was more embarrassed to have been scared! It was quick, very comfortable, and relaxed procedure. I am now actually looking forward to continuing my dental care program on a regular basis. I would recommend Dr. Kava to anyone.

I have been going to Dr. Kava for many years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Yesterday was for a root canal and just how positive can THAT be? Well, it was. Painless and perfectly executed. Both he and his assistance were up-beat and chatting to me throughout the procedure, telling me what they were doing and why, explaining the process, giving me breaks in the 2 hour period to rest my jaw and sit up, etc. The Dr. even challenged his young assistant to guess the name of the 70s bands playing on the background XM Radio station. It was very entertaining and relaxing and a great diversion from the procedure itself. These guys are GREAT.

Dr Kava seems to be quite knowledgable in his field. However his front desk staff could take a lesson in customer service. Professionalism at the door is key to any successful practice. The front desk staff needs work. They are belittling and demeaning. Not great qualities.

I absolutely and very highly recommend Dr. Rick Kava for you or your entire family. I have had other dentists and rarely had a cavity, yet, when I decided to visit Dr. Kava I found out I had 18 cavities or areas of decay!! In no time my teeth were ship shape and I have had no problems since!! Dr. Kavas opinion is, Get the problems fixed early so they dont become bigger problems later., he truly does care, and that today is rare!

Easily the best dental experience Ive ever had. Dr. Kava explains your care plan thoroughly each time you come in and answers any questions. Dr. Kava, Hailey and Jamie have a bedside manner that is of the highest order. Denise is an amazing at the front desk and answers any questions that I have. The entire office exemplifies genuine care and compassion that is second to none. The most compelling thing I can say to further my support of Dr Kava and his staff is that I would reccomend them without hesitation should anyone seek my opinion.

My family, (wife and 2 kids) were blessed when we became the legal guardians of our 2 nieces. I wasnt sure if the nieces were under my dental insurance when I discussed with Dr. Kava about bringing them in for an overdue check up. His immediate response was that the girls dental needs superseded his compensation. He CARES about YOU! He LISTENS to YOU! In todays world, finding a business that puts you first is difficult. With Dr. Kava, you have found a dentist that does just that.

Reading my original posts below I am so glad to have found Sioux City Dental with Dr. Kava, he and his staff are amazing!!!From my earlier reviews: I hate to admit it but I have a fear of dentists and the technicians. I put off going to the dentist for quite a number of years. That all changed 4 years ago when a bad tooth forced me to seek a dentist. By luck I found Dr. Kavas office and he helped me through that extraction and subsequent visits. Now I go every 6 months. Unfortunately last night I had a terrible pain from a tooth and it kept me up all night. This morning I called Dr. Kavas office to explain and even with no openings they worked me in during their lunch hour of all things. Who does that? Talk about going above and beyond. I am so thankful for Dr. Kava and his amazing staff!!!! If you are looking for a dentist I highly recommend Dr. Kava. Sincerely Kevin.

Called about 2 dozen dentists in town on Sunday over memorial weekend because a buddy broke his tooth. Kava answered his emergency line, asked what all we tried, and left an event to meet us and see my buddy. No run around, just all smiles and concern for him. One of the last true family practices. Save your time and call Kava first! I am writing this post to add on the fact that later in the evening Dr Kava contacted me to follow up on my friend and make sure he was doing OK!
