I have been a patient of this practice for over 15 years. I was a little unsure when Dr. Chin retired but after my first visit with Dr. Salha all my concerns were immediately relieved. I rarely review places but I wanted to put a spotlight on this excellent dentist. I’ve never had better, more attentive dental care. The staff listens well and communicates clearly, and I feel included and well-informed about everything. Cleanings are comfortable and brief, and even my recent crown, though quite an involved process, didn’t leave me feeling knocked out like past dental work has. I can’t recommend Dr. Salha highly enough for his obvious skill and also his easygoing, reassuring manner. All that, and even the music is good!

First of all… I have had a lot of “not so hot” experiences with dentists! BUT…from the first greeting from the front desk I knew this was going to be great! The space is bright and light. Usually when you lay back you see a light and ugly tiles but here you see out a bunch of windows strategical placed in your view. Soothing.Dr. Salha was incredibly warm, companionate and thorough with the consultation, all the way through a tooth extraction! I didn’t feel a thing! Please visit this dental clinic. Dr Salha is the most dedicated and supportive dentist I’ve worked with. I consistently feel cared for by the team at Montlake Dentistry, no matter what procedures I’m seeing them for they always take time to explain and educate, make appropriate recommendations and move at a pace that I feel comfortable with. I’m very fussy as a patient because of dental anxiety and painful past experiences but I always feel like I’m in safe hands with this team.

While visiting Seattle I began to experience inflamed gums along with some other troubling issues. I managed to snag a last minute appointment with Dr Salha who was accommodating.He was able to resolve all of my immediate issues while providing recommendations on what to do going forward, putting my mind at ease. He is attentive and conscious of how a patient feels during the process.In addition, the space is open, bright and airy with elevated interior design. Not your typical dentist’s office, in a good way.Best experience I have had with a dentist to date.

I had to have a crown replaced. The staff are very nice here, the place is spotless and you can get a treat from Macrina across the street after your appointment. Dr. Salha is a great dentist, gentle, smart and thorough.

For sake of transparency, this is the first time Ive written any review (Yelp, Google, etc etc), but I have to write something about my experience here. I know it sounds ironic to say a dentist appointment was AMAZING, but thats what it truly was. Ive never written a review before, but Ive never had a dentist appointment to write about. Ive always hated the dentist - Ive had cavities since I was 8 - Im 30 now - so Im pretty experienced with what needs to happen. I made an appointment here because of a friend referral. I needed a cavity filled (as always), so I made a future appointment. At that time, Dr. Salha made my cavity experience unlike ANY Ive had before - sounds weird, I know, but he made the anesthesia appointment 100% pain FREE - which is unlike any cavity appointment Ive had before. He does some magic cheek thing that I guarantee youll feel NO pain. In addition to filling my cavity, he also shaved off a very minimal amount from my front teeth. Ive personally always noticed small divots among my front teeth, but it never bothered me enough to fix it. Once he recommended, hed shave it down ever so slightly, so all my front teeth were even, Ive never been happier and more confident with my smile. Ive always liked my teeth - as they are white (white strips) and genetics (lucky to not have braces) but he took it up 1000 notches - I cant stop looking at the smoothness of my front teeth. Overall, I cant recommend Dr. Salhas practice enough. This review is a reflection of how happy I am. I have to say, if youre looking for a dentist you MUST go here. You wont regret it. Ive never liked the dentist, but for once I’m not dreading my next visit. Side note – I mentioned my lips were dry, and his dental assistant put Vaseline on my lips with a q-tip – are you kidding me?! A++ service.

I recently visited Dr. Salha for some jaw pain and TMJ symptoms. As someone who hadnt been to the dentist in a few years, I had a ton of anxiety about going back! But, Dr. Salha and his staff were extremely welcoming and made me feel very comfortable during my appointment. He kept it short and sweet and set me up with a great recovery plan. For the first time in my life, Im actually looking forward to going back to the dentist! Plus, the office is super cute and bright! Highly recommend.

As a new patient, I highly recommend Dr. Salha. I was able to make a new patient appointment within a day of calling in. Upon arriving, Amber, the dental assistant, took my x-rays. She was quick, efficient and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process, which I really appreciated. During the dental exam, Dr. Salha took the time to thoroughly explain what was happening with my teeth- he used the X-rays and also took digital pictures to walk me through any areas of concern or positive things. I tracked down Dr. Salha after he left Shoreline office to start his own gig...and am so happy I did. His kindness and personality makes a visit to the dentist as good as it can be. He explains procedures and invites patient feedback in a way that lets you know dialogue is welcomed; he speaks thoughtfully and gently to his colleagues...which, to me, illustrates the kind of practice he is putting together. All of the treatments I have received in his office have been completely successful and his follow up is meaningful and not rote. I would say this is a circumstance of an extremely nice individual who also happens to be a talented practitioner.

I never write reviews but I had such a positive experience with Dr. Salha that this was easy to do. All of my past dentist would just come in after my cleaning say hi like they knew me and get on with their day after checking the basics. My first cleaning with Dr. Salha was as good as it gets, he was very authentic and genuine person that was showed in his attention to detail. Felt very at ease and confident in his work. I couldnt be more thrilled when I heard Dr.Salha finally has his own practice. Although Im bummed hes no longer a three minute drive from my house Id drive anywhere I have to just to keep him! He is the most attentive, accommodating, gentle and straightforward dentist I have ever had. As someone with previously severe dental anxiety and a mouth that had suffered for years as a result of my fears I appreciate having a dentist who can talk to me as a person to fully discuss and understand my options in terms of the best treatment for my needs, what to expect before as well as afterwards and my pricing options. Dr. Salha and his team provided a great dental experience! Scheduling the appointment was easy, and I was seated promptly upon arrival and was provided good and thorough treatment. He and his team were very transparent about what they were doing, and were very helpful answering all the questions I had while reviewing xrays. Everyone was very welcoming and kind while maintaining a professional environment. I’ve bounced around a few dental offices over the years but now I’ve found one good!

I went to this dentist for years, and almost every single time they would try and up-sell me to various invasive procedures. They continually said, almost every visit that I should have my wisdom teeth removed because it can create issues down the track due to difficulty cleaning. When I finally relented (assuming the information was accurate), about a year or two later the dentist said I has issues with deep pockets as a result of the removal of the wisdom teeth. On another visit the dentist said I should replace composite caps on my front teeth which I had happily had for 23 years merely because of their aesthetics. Only 3 months after this dentist replaced the composite filling it collapsed. I am still having issues with them, they are not smooth and it was something that did not need replacing.

I visited Dr. Salha due to recommendation from several friends in the area, and so glad I did! The office is situated in a very cute neighborhood with ample street parking. The office staff was friendly and efficient in getting me checked and new patient set up complete. I was promptly greeted by Dr. Salha following my x-rays and got a thorough exam. He had a few watchouts for us to keep an eye on for the future but overall gave me a positive report. After a quick cleaning to follow with the hygenist, I was on my way! Overall a very pleasant experience at the dentist.Bonus tip! Macrena is right across the street, the perfect post-dentist treat (if you can stand to wait the 30 min post-flouride treatment to enjoy it)!

Had the opportunity to go to the newly renovated Capitol Hill-Montlake Dentistry to get a cleaning with Dr. Salha and his staff. The process of making the appointment was seamless as was the check in-during COVID times a temperature check was first taken and the receptionist not only wore gloves but also sanitized the door handle. The appointment/cleaning itself was comfortable and professional; all staff including Dr. Salha were informative and friendly throughout. Highly recommend going to this practice for all dental needs.

This is one of the worst dentist experiences in Seattle. From scheduling, to the 300 harassing messages before the appointment, to changing the times a day before and then changing them back day of, to the actual appointment day. Awful service, fillings are not filled down properly so you will still feel them. I blocked this office and then rescheduled with a new dentist where people are happy going to and the service is good. I don’t recommend wasting time with this dentist office, it’s a nightmare.

I went in for an initial cleaning and a cavity was found. Dr. Salha walked me through the x-rays and we scheduled a follow up for the next day. During the procedure Dr. Salha and team were so kind and professional. He talked me through each step of the process to help relieve my anxiety about what was happening next, ensured I was feeling no pain, and was as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, having had 5 cavities before I have had a few fillings and this was by far the easiest, quickest and most painless experience. Dr. Salha truly cares about his patients and I’m so happy to have found his practice. If you are shopping around for a new dentist look no further!

As someone who has been decieted by dentists in the past, Dr. Salha is a breath of fresh air. He is kind, honest, and walks all of his patients through their options in a transparent and geniuine manner. This was my first visit to Dr. Chin. I was concerned about a cracked tooth. Dr. Chin made a thorough investigation of my situation, showed me what he found and explained it to me clearly. Very friendly and professional staff. My husband and I both went there multiple times for cleanings and fillings and were treated very well. I had to come in for a cleaning with my baby once since I didnt have anyone to watch him, and everyone was very accommodating. Dr. Chin seemed more thorough than other dentists Ive had, and took time to explain everything. He even fixed a previous filling a dentist had done poorly, which I was nervous for because it was very close to the root, but I had zero pain.

Dr. Chin and his staff are incredible. I’ve been a patient there for three years.First, I have terrible teeth due to bad genetics and bad long term care. Never have I experienced less of a guilt trip at the dentist. No one was judgmental. I love their attitude that’s so focused on what’s next. No chastising for past faults.Second, they’re so concerned with the little comforts. They text you to remind you of scheduled appointments. They’re always friendly and patient at the front desk. They have a place for you to hang your jacket and put your stuff. They offer headphones and a tv if you want to drown out drilling noises. I am used to a little pain at the dentist. So I started to put up with some discomfort during a filling and Dr. Chin just noticed that my hands went still and asked whether I was in pain and numbed me up. They have sunglasses when they recline you because they’re conscious that they’re having you look up at the lights. The dental assistants are always cheerful and will make jokes and keep you loosened up (I love Adrieme). They had a hot wet towel for me to wake up my numb face and feel fresh after my visit.Last, I have to say that I just spent three and a half hours there with some pretty pressing problems in the middle of this COVID-19 pandemic and the main thing on my mind as I left was if you gotta spend three and a half hours in a dentist office, make it this one.

Had jaw pain and couldn’t chew or open my mouth very well. Dr. Chin figured it out, adjusted my bite and fixed a gap that developed between my two front teeth.Much better now.

I’ve been going to Dr Chin for at least 10 years. He and his staff are absolutely first rate. He is both very gentle and highly competent, as are all members of his staff.I have gone in several times thinking that I had some sort of serious problem, and he identifies it as something quite minor, fixes it, and off I go. I had the worst experience with Dr. Chin. My story with him started two years ago and I’m only writing this now because I’ve recently completed Invisalign which has nearly closed the open bite I had (I never expected perfection, but it’s a major improvement and it was never terrible to begin with, just obnoxious). I recall Dr. Chin telling me that I needed to have jaw surgery to close my open bite, otherwise I would be spending thousands of dollars on crowns throughout my lifetime, and that if I was his daughter he’d tell me to get it. However, jaw surgery costs thousands of dollars AND has high risks associated with the procedure (such as nerve damage and losing feeling in my face, not to mention the very long healing process). I was 27 or so at the time and remember Dr. Chin making me feel incredibly small as he spoke to me condescendingly about my teeth, which I was already very self conscious about. During this same visit, I had to have an injection for a filling and it sent a shocking, shooting pain that was so startling I started to cry as the needle was still in my jaw. Neighboring patients could hear me as I cried while trying not to move my jaw as to not cause the needle to do more damage. I couldn’t open my mouth without pain for three weeks after that. Dr. Chin explained to me after the injection that I already had symptoms of TMJ Syndrome if I couldn’t tolerate having my mouth open long enough for the injection. That wasn’t the issue. The needle hit a nerve which caused that excruciating pain and he didn’t listen to me as I tried to explain that. I never had issues with injections. My jaw wasn’t the problem. I later saw a surgeon and orthodontist who both assured me I did not have any problems with my jaw. I’ve never even had symptoms of TMJ Syndrome. I have never written a negative review, but anytime I think about my experience with Dr. Chin, I get angry at the way I was treated especially considering how polite and understanding I was when my appointment kept getting pushed back due to an emergency they had to deal with. I’m glad everyone else seems to have positive experiences. I wouldn’t recommend this location for anyone who is like me and didn’t have money growing up to afford braces and who maybe doesn’t have perfect teeth. Dr. Chin made me feel horrible about my teeth that day and based on this review, some might think I had horrendous teeth that warranted me being lectured on them. But I didn’t. I just had some mildly crooked teeth and an open bite which have been corrected with Invisalign. I’m happy to say I haven’t had an experience like that since going to new dentists.

Dr. Chin’s office is wonderful with a special needs young lady. They are very accommodating and sweet to her. She is never afraid or anxious.

Great experience with Dr. Chin and staff today. I have been going to Dr. Chin for almost 30 years!

Had a temp hygienist clean my teeth 2 days ago. First time not having my teeth polished after a perio maintenance appt. Asked as she was sitting me up in the chair Are you going to polish my teeth? She responded, Oh I am sorry, I forgot to tell you that I was just going to spend time scaling your teeth, since studies show polishing isnt beneficial. (I wouldve liked to make that decision.) Being a dental professional myself, I went home and checked my front teeth, on the tongue side because they felt a little rough. Sure enough there was calculus left. (That was also a first for me) Thank goodness I had scalers at home. (I removed the excess.)She was very sweet, but I was disappointed as I left the office.
