Manicurist was over 30 minutes late to my appointment, refused to clean my nails or trim my cuticles- asserted I donβt need it. I had to go home and reshape the nails because they werenβt what I was expecting at all.The lady was very nice and easy to talk to so I almost donβt want to leave the critical review, but I feel like I should to alert others. Maybe for some people this would be a good place, but Iβll never ever go back based on the quality of the product. The vibe is this: they are nice and very concerned about making money, but lacking a good service/product.
First time in for a basic manicure, and deluxe pedicure. Pros: Clean, friendly, easy to book, yummy stuff used on the feet and calves, nice massage. Cons: mediocre nail work. $120 for a french polish on my toes, and just a buff on my nails that looks amateur. Nails are uneven, and the white polish is so sloppy. Oh well, she was sweet.
Initially, my appointment time was 4:30. However, they contacted me the day of to come in half an hour earlier, which was fine. What was frustrating was that the second we arrived, we were told that they could not do simple designs like ombrΓ© and french tip. They then proceeded to rudely rush us in picking a different color and push us every 5 mins. Kept saying that they had other customers to get to and that we had to hurry because we were late even though we actually arrived early at the time they wanted us to come. We ended up deciding that we wanted to go somewhere that could do designs. HOWEVER. They charged us a 100% cancellation fee, which I really had no knowledge of. $50 FOR EACH OF US? never have I had to pay a 100% cancellation fee for anywhere, much less a nail salon. Dont recommend.
After 7 years of receiving nail service from different places in Seattle, this is hands down the best experience Ive ever had.The whole experience:My friend and I walked in at 2:30pm to a full salon and they warmly greeted us letting us know it would be an hour wait. I would advise getting an appointment but we were just hanging out anyway so we were happy. After waiting a bit at Wayward Coffee we walked back and were instructed to pick a color and waited about another 15 minutes for the workstations to be cleaned. While I was waiting a technician wrapped my nails to soak in acetone since I already had existing shellac which was amazing because it meant I didnt have to wait the ten minutes while in the chair (very efficient)When I sat in the chair, I was offered water or tea (new to me) and after she was done shaping, cuticle cutting and buffing she gave me time to look it over before she started painting (something I have never been asked before).During my appointment a man walked in and sat down-- saying he was here to watch. I was SO impressed by how the staff handled this. At first they treated him with the same courtesy as every customer and when he stated he was there to look at feet, they assertively asked him to leave multiple times before escalating to call the police. He left and everyone carried on like before with their same friendliness. After my nails were done and set with the UV light, I was treated to a massage and parafin soak. All for $33!! The service from beginning to end was 45 minutes. I plan to come back again and again.
I love them! I do wish they offered ombre options though.
For the price, I expected perfect nails. It costs $33 not including tip for shellac nails. As you can see in the picture, my left hands nails are all kinds of messed up. You can see the layers of nail polish on my second, third, and fourth nail. If you look closely you can see some bumps on my middle nail. I mentioned it to my nail technician but she told me it was normal... She was really nice so I didnt want to annoy her about it if she really thought it was okay. Im just upset that the price is so steep for that kind of result. I definitely dont think Ill be coming back.
They donβt have enough staff to do things properly
I love βMy Nail Barβ in green lake so I decided to give this one a try because they had an open appointment - they did not disappoint. They were quick, super clean, and everyone working here is super sweet! My nails look great and they didnβt hurt my cuticles. Iβll be back as this location is actually a little closer to my place. Canβt recommend them enough!
Tran did an AMAZING job on both mine and my boyfriends mothers nails!! The salon was quiet and friendly, and her attention to detail is spectacular! Well definitely be coming back for more visits. :)
Really lumpy manicure, I told her about the issue halfway through and she just made it worse. Do not recommend.
I made an appointment for 2pm - call ahead and let the owner know I am running a few minute behind, arrived at 2:03 didnβt get sat until 2:20 - the lady who started filing my nails sat there for 10 minutes filing them down to nothing by this time itβs literally 2:33pm and then proceeded to leave me her client to go remove someone elseβs nails, IN THE MIDDLE OF MY APPOINTMENT. She also told me I couldnβt be on my phone when two other customers in there were, and how am I supposed to show her what I WANT for my nails. How in the world is this covid safe? Touching one client to the next in the middle of both their appointments? I respectfully said I didnβt have time to stay at the appointment and I apologized and said I would pay for the time that I sat, the owner got an attitude with me for saying that. Donβt waste your time here. They might be kind but their work and sanitization is questionable.
I went in with some friends for an appointment on a Saturday afternoon. The salon was fairly busy and got even busier throughout my manicure and pedicure. The salon was so busy that girls were getting serviced with their manicures in the waiting area and employees were climbing over each other for supplies. What really encouraged me to write this review was being rushed out of the salon before my pedicure was fully dried. I wanted to stay a few more minutes under the fan, but the front specialist told me I was good to go and started packing up the machine and removing my disposable flip flops. As a result, my nail polish was immediately smudged and my $30 was wasted. The staff was otherwise friendly and diligent.
Iβve had my fair share of trying new Nail Salons but this by far was the worst experience Iβve come across. I called for a 3pm appointment and wasnβt seated until closer to 3:30. What was the point of calling ahead? I got a shellac mani and a regular pedi, nothing too crazy. However, I didnβt realize it was going to take over 1.5 close to 2 hours to get my nails done. For paying $65 (not including tip), I expected better. Iβd rather make the drive back home to Renton/Newcastle than go to Roosevelt Nails again.
What a wonderful close to the week. My husband purchased a gift certificate for me which I choose to use Friday afternoon. Made my appointment easily. Walked into a very calm and genuinely welcoming environment. The young lady that took care of me was very sweet and did a fantastic job on my French tip shellac. Thay offer complimentary beverages and give a real back massage which is also complementary. Great pricing too. I will be back and have already recommended them to friends.
I had a deluxe pedicure and loved it. Very relaxing, includes a long foot/leg message, a scrub, hot stones.. perfect π₯°
Amazing nail bar. Fantastic customer service. My nails (manu, pedi) were handled ever so delicately. Do yourself a favor and go here to get your nails pampered. Tram is an amazing woman and runs her business well. I told them exactly what I wanted and they delivered without forcing anything on me. Definitely going back.
Im very picky when it comes to my nails and its very hard to find a good salon now a days. I live in Seattle and it is definitely worth the trip here. I absolutely LOVE Moon. Shes amazing. Shes a sweetheart. I like She takes her time to do amazing nails.
This was a great find! I was meeting for breakfast with a girlfriend and we wanted to get our toes done. The staff was nice and the spa pedicure was wonderful. Such a good deal. I felt as pampered (or more so) as I have been at high end salons, with a reasonable price. The salon was clean, the massage chair was delightful. I really just chose this place for its location and internet reviews. Glad I did! We will be back.
Roosevelt nails is the best nail salon Iβve ever been to! The owner Tram is amazing as is the rest of the staff. They do an awesome job every time, have tons of SNS colors and give A plus back massages with your manicure.
They are really good at honoring appointment times and the place is really clean. The staff are polite and nice. And I always leave happy with my experience.
This place NEVER fails me. They ALWAYS give their best effort, and I canβt imagine taking my nails to any other salon/spa. Spectacular service delivery!!
I went to this nail place a few days ago and had an amazing experience. I was a bit nervous because it is new but the ladies who work there are very nice. I was planning on getting acrylic but this salon provided a healthier alternative, gel dipped nails. My nails look beautiful and I had a great time getting them done. This is the best place Iβve been in the area and I will definitely be coming back.
I hate to post this because this is my favorite hidden gem and I like being able to get my appointments and never be rushed! But this place is wonderful. Jeannie is my fave! Sheβs so sweet, (again) never rushes me, always takes a wonderful amount of time on my cuticles, and my nails last 2.5-3 weeks usually. The manicure chairs are comfy, they offer beverages, it includes a shoulder massage (with manicure) and hand paraffin wax dip! Tram and Jeannie always remember my name and make time for me, which I really appreciate :)
Clean and nice environment. Good service
Excellent customer service. Cute nail bar! Very busy on weekends, recommend scheduling an appointment.
Really nice staff and their gel lasts forever! Sometimes itβs really busy so call ahead or make an appointment.
Make sure you call ahead and make an appointment. These guys are amazing. I had a wonderful pedicure today with an amazing, long, foot massage. I will be returning to Roosevelt Nail Bar for all my future pedicures! 10/10 would recommend.
Cut me with a file and it got infected and saw them put the file back in their stash with disinfecting it. Another time, I made an appointment, I was told to come at and sat there for 40 min and I also sensed attitude from the techs about the color I chose. Instead of nicely explaining the outcome, they team tagging me attitude and speaking in their language. I tried to like this place but I am done now.
Ive been here three times and have regretted it each time. The technicians were inattentive, the polish was applied poorly, and nothing about the salon made me feel like the experience was worth it either.
Best spot Ive found around the u-district! Prices are decent but the quality is awesome! Staff are attentive and skilled.
First Lady tried to talk me out of getting tips saying they are bad for my nails?I maintained that I wanted them and Tram did an awesome job!
They do absolutely beautiful nails. I have been to other shops and Im so impressed with this one. The new dipping powder is awesome, it allows u to grow your own nails with an acrylic overlay in any color u could imagine whether u do just a colored tip or the whole nail in color. Prices are comparable to doing tips butit lasts almost at least 3 weeks. Ive never had such long nails!! And they are mine...no tips!!! Love it love it love it! Of course they also provide other nail services too.And the salon is beautiful!! U wont be disappointed!!!
Really awesome service and a fun bunch of ladies... Really great place!
Tram is amazing. Got the best dipping powder full set from her today. Sheβs a real professional and doesnβt cut any corners- already canβt wait to go back!!
Fun. Great service. Love that they have wine. They have SNS and they do a great powder dip, best Ive had so far.
Update 10/21 2020This is a good place to get nice looking dip powder done, but its not the place to go if u want to be treated gently.I walked away today with pretty nails but 5 or so 2-3mm cuts right on the crease of my cuticle by my nail. And they are still hurting and makes my life very inconvenient.Let me explain the whole process. When my nail lady put on the nail extensions for me, some glue gets under my nail, which is completely normal, and proceed to stick my nail to the skin under which is thin and soft. When she tries to separate my skin from the nail, instead of pulling them gently apart, she proceed to digging her nail into the part that stick together and basically ripped my cuticle open with her nail, resulting in several tiny gashes under the edge of my nail on the middle finger of my left hand and the thumb and fourth finger of my right hand. She also handled the filing pen thing somewhat carelessly and scraped skin off the middle finger of my left hand, and later did the same thing to the thumb on my right hand. As we all might know, the skin on our finger is somewhat thick and while I wasnt bleeding, the scraps hurted quite a bit to the point I was sweating a lil bit.The way she reacted was also not very helpful, she did not offer me to go wash my hands or perhaps offer a alcohol pad to at least clean the wounds at all.Its 2am right now and Im still somewhat in pain and I have to say Im very disappointed in this experience because I think highly of these ladies. Right now everytime I touch water my cuts hurt and it is extremely inconvenient. I cant put bandages over them because they are literally under my nails and everytime I put pressure on my finger my nail edge digs into the cuts.Im honestly trying to be as forgiving as possible but I am a student that needs to work from laptop and phone 24/7 and the cuts are giving me a lot of trouble. Fingers especially cuticles are also a very sensitive spot to me.I still decided to pay and leave a tip (which I honestly regret because I am suffering so much rn).But I will definitely consider finding a new nail salon.
I really love this place for its service and atmosphere. I wish they didnt overbook though.
Best nail salon in town.
The personnel are great the place is immaculate and the work that they do is exceptional!!
Did the powder stuff. Feels super strong and they were very nice. Weβll see how it lasts.
Its been 10 months since Ive been here..The place was fairly busy..I had pedicure and with a few short weeksI got a nail fungus.. had to see doctorI wont be back !
Manicure was above and beyond! Wonderful shoulder massage, hand massage and paraffin wax included. Salon was clean and didnβt smell of fumes. Will be returning!
Good quality, but they now charge $5 more for SNS removal if you didnβt get your nails done from them the time before... Iβve been a customer there for over two years now and have brought friends who now regularly come in. Iβll be taking my business down the street. Cheaper SNS and Parafin wax is included.
Friendly staff, clean environment. Great service all around. We will be back.
I got SNS and this is the best I have ever seen of sns. Very patient and professional. Highly recommend!
Great salon with great techs. They have dipping powder which is hard to find in upper Seattle.
Always on point its the only place Ill go to for my nails. They all pay close attention to to the manicure and pedicures so I dont mind the extra time in the salon.
Very friendly people who did an awesome shellac manicure. Thanks!
My first time here, made an appointment for Sunday afternoon. Glad I made an appointment because they were fully booked. Definitely made an appointment if you want to be seen during the weekend.I had a pedicure and manicure with the SNS. Not my first time with SNS but my first time with someone with professional experience with the SNS product. My pedicure was relaxing and came out beautiful. My manicure was equally as nice and she made the SNS powder build very natural looking. I hate getting the super thick built up powders that are obviously fake. The SNS is over my natural nail, which I think hello the natural appearance also.I have already made another appointment with the ladies, Im very excited to have an affordable and talented nail salon.
Thank you for getting my nails Christmas ready in such a short notice
I went to get my nails done last weekend on Saturday morning. They were packed but fit me anyways, it was my first time getting the dip done. They were rushing through my nails, never cut my cuticles, I left with uneven nails, the dip color all over my fingers and a week later 2 chipped off. Will not be going back.
A little busy and dirty. i had to leave.
Wonderful service and everyone was very friendly!
My feet feel fantastic now
Salinas with variety of talents
Great place !!
Vivian did a great job!!!! Definitely recommend !!!
Worst customer service
THE LADY JUST KICK ME OUTI made a appointment for a full set, I waited 20min before they can start doing my nail. When is my turn, the lady and I had misunderstand each other, she thought I pick color just to do gel, I thought she ask me to choose color just to put it on full set. So I told her I wanted a full set and she laughed at me.However, she said you need to book a appointment for tomorrow today we canβt do a full set. So I said Iβll just do gel today, she said no. And kick me out.
