Excellent work by highly caring professionals. Their services cost more than some other places but if you are familiar with the labor exploitation issues in nail salons, this is because they actually pay a living wage. I appreciate their commitment to social justice including examining the ownership of every supplier and dedication to sourcing from small, independent, women owned businesses. I can’t say enough good things about them as a nail salon but really as a part of the West Seattle community.

I only managed to visit once pre-pandemic when it was still Juniper. The warm vibes, professional staff and emphasis on meaningful interactions and sustainable practices still reign supreme! I couldnt recommend this place enough. This was my first service Ive had done since before the lockdown and I actually felt safe and comfortable. Appointments only, two techs and two customers at a time and you wash your hands when you arrive. I will 100% be back when I can.

Shannon did my nail art, and they turned out fantastic! I got plenty of compliments, even as a male. Several people even mentioned they hope I start a trend with males getting nail art. :)

Kayla did my gel manicure and made me feel welcomed and comfortable, which is difficult considering the stress I feel venturing out during the pandemic.Their online booking system is easy to use but they also answer if you pick up the phone and call them.Even the basic manicure feels like such a luxurious treat.

Ive regularly been going to Opal, formerly Juniper, for years now. They are a women-owned nail studio run by an awesome group who truly care about both giving you an amazing service, but also the local community. My go-to is gel manicure with nail art, and some of the nail art that comes out of Opal is incredible (check instagram)! There are different levels of art, and my manicure lasts! Several weeks every time. Check out Opal if you are looking for a very professional, extremely clean manicure or pedicure experience. Your nails will look AMAZING!

Cat is wonderful! She has the best energy, and always goes above and beyond with my nails!They last for 3 weeks! I can never get A manicure to last that long going anywhere else. The shop is very cute and charming! Looks bigger than before.It is clean, I felt very safe with all the new covid measures.Highly recommended!
