I chose Bishops after looking for a new place in W Seattle for a mens haircut, they had very good reviews. And so, I scheduled and went in, they got me in on time (same day), were professional and clean! I like the facility and the staff. She listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered it nicely. I recommend. A+

This was my first time here and I was so very impressed. Jo knew exactly the color I was going for, and I’m very satisfied with my color and cut. She recommended products, but I didn’t feel pressured to buy any. I did anyway because it saved me from going to Ulta, and I felt good supporting their business. A huge bonus is the adorable shop dog that gently visited all the customers. I’ll definitely be back!

Oh my goodness. Rachelle may be amazing but missed the point with me this time around. I showed her a picture of a pixie cut I was hoping for (I am 70 years old) and she dove into it with enthusiasm. Unfortunately her own agenda did not match mine or the picture. It did not take into account the thin limp hair which I unfortunately have. The result for me was less hair than my balding spouse. I was not looking for the punk spikey look (and almost shaved back) which I realized she was trying for when she offered to sell me some sort of dry volume spray at checkout. Looking forward to it growing out. Im sure she is very good and younger people with lots of hair may love what she did, but somehow we miscommunicated with each other.

The barbers that work here are all fantastic.But, I had a haircut here recently. The woman did a decent enough job. I just ended up leaving it longer on the top than intended.I was busy for a week and couldnt come back. So I called up the company explaining I just needed a quick 5 minute touch up. I expected to pay something reasonable like $10 to clean everything up. Which, any self respecting business should offer for free to be honest. This is the kind of thing that creates long term loyalty.The woman on the phone quoted me $27.. an asinine price for a very minor job. This is more than your average full haircut price anywhere in West Seattle.Im sure she was just following protocol, but a sorry or any form of compassion wouldve been appreciated.Skip this money hungry chain and support local business, atleast they pretend to care about you as a consumer.

I had the best haircut I’ve ever had in my life here. I forget the barber’s name but she knew exactly what I wanted without me explaining much. These barbers have a VISION! I highly recommend coming to this barbershop, even if you have to commute. 5 stars no question, I would rate 10/10 if I could! Best vintage cuts in town hands down!!!

I recently moved and was anxious about going to a new place, but I am totally happy with the color and cut that Rachelle gave me and the cut that Sothea gave my boyfriend. I have to admit, these days its been much easier to schedule a same-day haircut with Bishop than with any other barbershops. With everything else being comparable to their competitions, this sets them apart.

Getting my first professional haircut after more than a year was definitely going to be special, but Jo truly made the experience EXTRA. She did a brilliant job with my hair, bringing great relief after months of self-cuts without being able to do the layering/razoring of someone skilled at this stuff.Also, the West Seattle location has very clear protocols around Covid, which I appreciated: Temperature check, handwashing when I arrived, masks on the whole time, only about five people maximum in the building the entire time I was there. Felt totally pampered and taken care of. It was an excellent things to do post-vaccination!

Bishops West Seattle has been great. Sothea is fantastic at cutting my hair which most people seem to have trouble with. I never have to wait for haircuts and everybody that works has been super nice.

I have social anxiety which has been worse during the pandemic. I cancelled two previous appointments before I got up the courage to keep this one.I neednt have worried. Everyone was very kind, professional and welcoming. The safety practices were excellent and consistently enforced.Elaine was kind, listened to what I wanted and delivered, even when i made a special request. Also, shop dogs are best dogs.

I booked an appointment online, right when I walked in the door the guy working at the desk asked if I was Anthony, i have never had a place greet me like that. He took my temperature and asked me to wash my hands very professional place. I was then introduce to Brooke who cut my hair. She was very nice and funny and made my time there enjoyable. She also toned my hair, fixing the bronze color from a balayage and making it the most beautiful warm color. SO happy with the result. Ive been waiting for Rachelle my whole life. - obsessed.

Good location. Good check-in process with sanitization. Nice and clean and spaced out inside.Recently had a color with Katie and the result was a fantastic purple. We had a great consult to pick out the right combo of colors. She was extra careful applying it to avoid any temporary staining to my scalp and it just looked great. The followup a week later to do some touch up made it pop even more. She was just great!

I had my hair bleached, toned, and trimmed. Jo Rios did an amazing job. I cant believe what she was able to accomplish in one sitting. Very talented! Today my husband and five year old daughter went to the West Seattle location and spent over $80. Literally all of us cannot tell that their hair was even touched. Worst “haircuts” I’ve ever seen. I usually take my kids to Rudy’s but my husband insisted on going to Bishops today. Never again, this was horrible that they took my family’s money for this. We can’t afford this in a pandemic, and you charged for a “long cut” on my five year olds tiny head. Ridiculous.

I have been going to Rachelle every 10 days since Bishops reopened after the first COVID lockdown. She is a perfectionist and actually finds ways to improve my hair and my experience each time. It grows all over the place so it takes a lot of precision and patience to tame it. Very few professionals can actually get this right. They are okay with straight and curls, but not waves and cowlicks. She takes the time to get to know you and your hair. More importantly, she is not just a hair stylist but a therapist. Great conversation and amazing head and neck massages while she is shampooing. A wonderful escape from my insane schedule and stressful days as a business owner. She could be working at any of the top salons in this country but she chooses to work here to serve others. That says a lot about who the persons she is. Very refreshing and motivating! Dont miss out!

Jo is a great sylist! She takes her cues from you. She will chat if youre in the mood, or just give you a great haircut. She listens to what you want, and isnt too fast, or too slow. Everyone else in the salon is friendly. Take COVID precautions seriously. Very positive experience!

I absolutely love this salon. I go to my gal Rachelle and boy does she nail it every time. She’s incredibly talented, great at listening to what I’m envisioning and always checks in with me repeatedly throughout the appt to make sure that I’m happy. I’ve even got my significant other to come see her and have her work her magic on his majestic locks too. He doesn’t hesitate on getting a trim anymore. He trusts her and so do I. Everyone there is so kind, it’s always a pleasure to get my do done. Can’t rave enough about this place! So happy to have stumbled across it last year. I’m a forever customer now :)

Was very happy to have Bishops return to business. They’re following excellent guidelines to keep people safe during Covid. Even though I had to wear a mask during the haircut, it didn’t bother me at all. I could not be more pleased with my haircut/styling. Most fantastic experience yet at the age of 40. I love how Mo explains his methodology and style to cutting hair, based on the clients feedback. I felt super comfortable the whole time. I enjoy how he shares his process of why he cuts the way he does, to create the perfect look, also shared tricks of the trade to duplicate the same look when you get home. Got a great hair cut deep condition by Brooke Bishop. She was so nice and told me everything she was doing before she did it if it wasnt something we specifically talked about. I really appreciate that in a stylist and I left the salon very happy. I am also impressed with the covid safety measures that the salon has put in place. Very clear in what they expected of customers and all very easy.

Bishops is a great place to get a haircut. The shop is very clean, has a cool/chic vibe, and the stylists are incredibly friendly and very good at what they do. Prices are reasonable as well which is a bonus!

I just moved to the area, and after using the same barber for 5 years I was really concerned about being able to find a place/person. Rachelle was amazing, and I will definitely be going back!

Been here 4 or so times now and the cuts have always been great and the staff is very courteous. Sad to see certain changes due to covid19 (like the absence of having a beer while getting your hair cut), but I understand that cant be helped. Very happy to see that they still perform beard trims and they have a head rest for use during beard trims. Holding your head back for a beard trim can kill your neck and so many places dont have head rests. Very glad to see them being used at Bishops.

Been here at least twice over the past two years and got the same awful buzzcut by two different people. Look elsewhere for a simple buzzcut or youll walk away with your neck half lined up and random long hairs all over your head. Had to trim them at home. Just awful.

As a woman, I wouldnt recommend coming here. With COVID restrictions easing I was looking to get a haircut, but I should have waited for my regular salon to open. I went here because they had appointments soon, but it wasnt worth it. I dont feel like my stylist stayed true to what I asked for, she ended up cutting about twice the length off that I asked for. I asked for layers, and she didnt do that either. Ive had long hair for a while and seeing it now as short as it is is really saddening. She also thinned my hair without asking, and I liked my hair the way it was. Finally, the cut is uneven. The right side is longer than the left.I think this shop is a great choice for those with shorter hair or would like a simple haircut, but I wish it was more clear when I booked the appointment that simple haircuts were standard, and that I shouldnt expect layers or texture.I dont typically write negative reviews, but I wish I was able to see a review like this before choosing this shop. I would give fewer stars but I dont want this review to affect someones choice to come here who is looking for just a simple haircut.

I got a long bob length cut And it’s the worst I’ve had in a long time. I felt like the stylist rushed through and she didn’t even dry it to make sure it looked okay. She also didn’t seem very friendly in general. I get that this place is cheaper but it’s not worth it to pay for such awful service. It’s been a few days and I’m still so unhappy with the cut. I’ve decided to schedule an appointment at Beehive to fix it. I wish I had gone there in the first place.
