Scott is AMAZING!! I just moved to the area with my 5 yo son, and was in need of a new barber for him. I read some positive reviews and decided to give Scott a try and I am so glad I did! I love the way he cut my sons hair, and I so appreciated his fun, outgoing nature; my son felt welcomed and comfortable! Scott is the best! I wont be going anywhere else!

Finally found the barbershop I was looking for years! Scott is very experienced in his trade with decades in business and at the same time being humble in his comforting little barbershop! The haircut looks great and exactly as desired! He is the barber that knows and enjoys his work and likes his customers! Highly recommend Scott for cutting kids’ hair, I wish I was in his chair when I was a kid:) His charisma is inspiring others to be happy and take things easy! Cannot wait to be back into his shop! Scott is awesome! He provides great haircuts, is friendly, and my favorite part - hot shaving cream on the neck! He does great work and I look forward to lots more haircuts in his chair!I wish he had more of an online appt system but that wont stop me from going.

The only thing I regret is not discovering this gem of a place earlier. Scott is professional, friendly and very good at what he does. His attention to detail is second to none and he makes sure you leave his shop satisfied with your cut. He also takes every precaution (social distancing, extensive sanitation, temperature taking etc.) to ensure you are comfortable during your time there.I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great haircut!

Scott runs a great barbershop and can accommodate most any style request when it comes to cuts. As a regular, you should be prepared for a wait as he does not make appointments. Plenty of time to shoot the breeze with other clients in the meantime. Ill miss having my hair cut by Scott as I am about to move out of the area.

This is my favorite barber shop by far. Scott the barber is a very funny guy, and he makes you laugh all the time when you are in here. I would totally recommend this barber shop.

Scott is a great guy, open during COVID as of this review (Sept 19, 2020).You sign up on the sign in sheet, hell give you an estimate for how long the wait will be, you can go do your thing and hell text you 10-15 minutes before its your turn in the chair.He allows 4 folks in the shop at once, plus him for a total of 5. Masks are required, but hell sell you one for $2.I was here today with my father, no wait. Scott says business has suffered due to Covid-19, so if you need a hair cut you should head in for one. He could sure use the customers, haircuts are as good as ever, and if youre worried about being close to other people or whatever, Scott has put in place pretty good measures to mitigate that.

Barber was rude and condescending. I never leave reviews but he definitely had a few very forward opinions. Tried to make small talk but ended up belittling me about my life choices, color of my hair (“did you mean to do this?”), my age(calling me buddy and saying stuff like “you probably don’t know what an ATM is but I’ll explain it to you), and most other opportunities to say something. If you want customers to come back maybe don’t talk to them like they’re stupid.

The barber is really friendly and does a great job.

I liked it here! Scott is a great barber, and the place has old-fashioned barbershop allure. The only downside here is a waiting time (certainly worth it, though) and, perhaps, that payment is the cash only.

Scott is the best! he always had some beverages in the fridge and we talk a lot about sports while i was waiting my turn, good vibes and nice haircuts, highly recommended.

The haircut: Scott takes pains to make sure you are happy, and is clearly going for an end result that he can feel proud of. He really wants you to look good at the end of it. Affordable.The environment: classic barber shop in the sense of masculine -- sports, classic playboy magazines, etc. Scott is an interesting character and likes to chat while he works. I get along well with him, but some folks might find him a little edgy.Service: I get the sense that Scott is one to speak his mind, which may not always be in line with perfect customer service. But he has treated me very well. I went in for a cut and showed him an (admittedly not that great) picture of what I was after, and though the cut was high quality as always it wasnt really what I was looking for. I went back and he happily modified the cut to my liking. One thing: be prepared to wait for a while (as much as an hour). I usually bring a little schoolwork to do while I wait.

Scott is a professional barber. He takes the time to give an amazing haircut every time no matter what. This is also the kinda place to have a true community barber, like classic everyone in there is talking and having a good time. He also has beer there so sip and enjoy. Also straight razor shave on the nape of the neck and sides.

Scott is fantastic. Hes been cutting my hair for about 2 years now. He gives consistent quality results and over time gets to know each of his clients. He takes his time and cares that you are happy with the trim. He can walk the room and talk with everyone waiting, and usually has no problem finding a topic you can converse on be it sports, movies, tv, cars, food, whatever..Also, this barbershop is WALK IN ONLY. No reservations. Expect a significant wait on Saturdays. There are typically 3-4 people waiting, and each cut takes about 15-20 minutes. The people there waiting are typically happy to do because all the above reasons.

Im not sure where the other 1 1/2 barbers are... long vacation perhaps... but the one barber thats there is aces. A buzzer maestro with the gift of gab. Whenever Im in the mood for some short precision art on my skull this place is my go-to.

Always great service and rates. With a huge family of many hair stylist I learned to be picky. Scott always does a great job even when Im being badly vague with what I might want. It can be a bit of a wait since there is just Scott but grab a drink and enjoy the barber shop and a great host.

Finally a shop I can trust with my beard! Excellent cut. Be prepared to wait to to 45 minutes as there really are only 2 barbers. But the bench seats are comfortable and the conversation lively if desired.

Scott is a down-to-early, friendly guy who pays attention close attention to your hair. Would recommend trying to come at an off-peak time though: no appointments and he is the only barber.

Ive seen a lot of people move through his chair, while waiting for a haircut, and he treats everyone with great conversation and warmth. My cut is always spot on. Happy to have found him.

Usually less of a wait at off peek times, ie early or weekdays. But well worth the wait. Its the price you pay for a barber that remembers your kids names and keeps your favorite beer in the cooler!

I visited 2 1/2 Happy Barbers for the first time on January 2, 2016. It is walk-in only. You can call ahead to ask how many folks are ahead of you, but I advise against it. Why? Because they have a nice cooler and the conversation is good. If you want to get in and out as quickly as possible, make an appointment at a chain store. But if you like people and want an outstanding cut, drop in at 2 1/2 Happy Barbers.Scott cut my hair and trimmed my beard. Hes what a barber should be.

The barbers here make too many casual racist and sexist comments to count! If youre looking for a bastion of toxic masculinity at which to get your hair cut, this is the place, but I will not be returning.

Scott is a very fine barber and the neighborhood knows it. I am happy to wait for a half-hour or so for a high quality haircut that is priced right.
